I wouldn't bother trading if there wasn't cloning, honestly. I don't want to lose my hard work. I have my mons as non-redis to avoid them popping up like wildfire everywhere... but to each his own.

Yeah, I think I'm going to start a list of trainers I trade with and a short description of each to prevent people from cloning mine. I don't mind if people redistribute though.

I feel like such a noob when I come on. All you guys know each other and talk about RNG (which I suck at :P) and I'm like "what?"
Also since I have school starting tomorrow I only could be on during weekends. Maybe weekdays if I get my homework done early. |

As for RNG I'm still learning myself so keep at it ^.^ Good luck at school. I officially cannot capture RNG I have tried for 6 hours straight :( |
Mewtwo cloned Pokemon first. The Pokemon Company *must* be okay with it!

The trade cannot go on as there is no way a trader and collector like us can keep it. Think about it, if I am a collector and have a shiny Ho-Oh, you have a mewtwo, I want your mewtwo and you want my shiny Ho-Oh and I want to keep the shiny Ho-Oh but also trade it to get your mewtwo, what should I do? I have to clone it because there is no point in losing my shiny Ho-Oh just to have your Mewtwo. That is just not how collecting pokemon works. what you said may be true but it can only apply to those who only want to finish their pokedex, not collecting pokemons. I hope it makes sense to you. |
Ugh >.>
Did you guys not watch pokemon 2000? http://www.motifake.com/image/demotivational-poster/0808/lawrence-iii-demotivational-poster-1218872672.jpg You guys are like what happens when lawrence and mewtwo sit down for a cup of tea. Mewtwo: "Oh, what's that? You've got a zapdos? Nice trophy, there." Lawrence: "Yes, quite. It cost many... Other people their lives and homes to get it!" Mewtwo: "Is that so? Here, let me throw it into my blob machine, I'll make you a dozen!" Lawrence: "You don't say! Gladly, go right ahead!" Then Lawrence promptly replaces all the propellers on his flying fortress with tethered zapdos clones. Fun times. |

I think you guys just aren't hardcore enough. |

And what's the point of us rnging the same Pokemon over and over? The end result is the same thing. Also, that would make it impossible for me, for example, to distribute one-time event Pokemon like DW starters because they cannot be bred. I understand where you're coming from, though, but each Pokemon is nothing more than values in a .pkm file. While I wish each individual Pokemon was unique it's just not so, even their "personality" is determined by a number. |

Now, in that air of competitiveness and this environment of fast paced child centered marketing nintendo still finds time to include moral building, family oriented gameplay into their games, especially pokemon. Do you think that they make money by doing this? Do you think that's efficient? Hell no. But you know what? It teaches kids that bad guys steal, friends are more valuable than power, and that animal abuse isn't cool. Meanwhile, you and people like you are telling kids that get on the internet that cheating is fun, value is nonexistant, and that animals don't have souls. That's right, animals don't feel. They are after all the real life equivalent of pokemon. That might sound silly to you, but for a kid they are one in the same. I swear to you that I wouldn't be the person I am today without nintendo. They seeded my creativity at a young age. They taught me that fungi are cool, and sometimes dangerous. They taught me the meaning of value in a low income household where my meals depended on how lucky my parents got at the local casino. My brother dabbles in the black market. My sister is a stay-at-home housewife. My other brother doesn't know the meaning of meta cognition and my little sister is your stereotypical brainwashed "Buy me this" daughter. The difference between me and them? I got a SNES and Super mario world 3 for my 7th birthday. When you hate on nintendo's code, it becomes personal, so don't give me that ".pkm" bull. /IMHO /rant |

Question: I need someone to teach me how to RNG in Entralink please ;) |
JOhnny, Entralink abuse is basically the same as IV Gen abuse. Check Sephirona's guide on Smogon for information about the differences. Good luck with that!

If you don't like cloning so much why don't you go somewhere else where there is no cloning. Instead of whining about it to us. |
I tried RNG abuse again and sucked. Must be because I stopped playing Pokemon. I loved HG/SS, and disliked B/W. I guess B/W made me stop trading/battling/training my 'mons.
