Twist Mountain

Twist Mountain is a mine-like mountain located between Route 7 and Icirrus City. Mining machinery and workers houses can be found in the centre, with many workers scattered throughout the mountain.

But just what are they mining at Twist Mountain? Could it be fossils, possibly being the reason why a worker will give you one there everyday? Or maybe they are mining Stardust, shown by the large amount of it found there? Or maybe it is something else completely! Use this thread to discuss what you think is being mined at Twist Mountain.

They're mining for a unique thing to discuss about Black/White on PC. I don't think they'll ever stop.

I think they're just mining for precious materials in the summer, and in the winter, ice/snow to make snow cones

I'm thinking that they're mining fossils and precious minerals in Twist Mountain. The really precious ones may be donated to the Nacrene Museum.

If they were mining fossils, you would get them at that location.

I'm thinking gem stones,

Okay so I'm 99% sure they're mining gold (or oil?)

Basically, have a look at Unova. It's so technologically advanced. Look at all the other regions. Is there technology? NOPE. How else do you think Unova could afford all these amazing things like the Battle Subway, Musicals, Royal Unova, Castelia City - the list goes on! When really, the other regions have basically nothing as prestigious or as great. Clearly they are mining gold and exporting to other regions in order to support the Unovian economy, allowing them to continue building things like the soon-to-be-built proper Desert Resort! etc.

The place they'll probably export to is Kanto, because they're greatly in need of upgrades as far as technology goes, but since Unova is the supplier, they don't miss out on anything. It also explains why you earn money much easier in Unova than in Kanto because they're in a depression @ Kanto due to continually owing Unova etc. Logical!

Dang, that's a lot of thought that went into that, but that's probably it.
I always just figured that they were mining for Nuggets and Gems too, but not the whole exportation part. xD

If I get a fossil everyday, I believe that they are mining for Fossils. I also believe they are doing it for rare items. But seriously they are probably going to build something inside of Twist Mountain which we could see the results in the 3rd game (thats if they make one).

They are definitely building my new citadel for my global conquest.

Like everyone else said, probably just mining for minerals and ores and all that jazz.

Build something? Like maybe use the Mountain as a secret back-up Plasma building in the third game? It's close to Dragonspiral Tower, sooo maybe...!

The Nightmare January 28th, 2012 2:39 PM

I think they are mining for fossils or items.

d4rka8isz January 28th, 2012 2:48 PM

Maybe they're just digging and hoping they get lucky and find something really rare. Otherwise, I think they're mining for oil and such seeing as how Clay is a businessman. The huge chunk of ice at the bottom is pretty suspicious too.

Wings Don't Cry January 28th, 2012 2:54 PM

They're actually slowly chipping away at it so that in the future people will no longer have to go through that hell hole to get to Icirrus City.

Katniss Everdeen January 29th, 2012 4:06 PM

I think they are mining stardust. :P And the NPC there probably gives you fossils because they keep finding them, but they don't need them. OR they could be mining stardust, but the one NPC is secretly mining fossils?

vizarod February 6th, 2012 6:31 PM

I bet they are mining for everything. There are no other regions with
mines. Are there? I don't think so... So they are probably mining for
everything, to send out to other regions and stuff. They probably just find
fossils and stardust and other useless stuff (to them) and toss it or give it
to you.
