EV Training
I can't seem to get the full grasp of EV training is. I get the whole four points for one base stat thing, but do you have to level up fighting ONLY that Pokemon to get the full effect of the EV it yields? For example, to get speed EVs, do I have to sit there and level up on Basculins slowly, or can I take down about 30 and go level up easier elsewhere?
Also, can you start EV training something level 60-80? If these questions are already answered, I apologize, but any help is appreciated. |
You can battle the Basculins until you've got all the EVs you need for speed and then go do whatever the hell you want haha. After you've got the EVs, you're set, just level up wherever, get moves, etc.
You can start EV training whenever you want, but be careful. This will only work "prefectly" if you leveled the Pokemon up with Rare Candies or through the Day Care Couple. Otherwise, you'll have to get your hands on some EV reducing berries to erase any EVs your Pokemon might've gained. This method is also tougher since you never know (unless you recorded every Pokemon you've fought since your Pokemon hatched/was caught) how many EVs you may have and in which stat they are. Hope that helped ^^ Anymore questions about EVs? |
