Since when is "poof" a bad word?

I like to give my Pokemon cute little nicknames, and I tried to name a Cottonee "Poof".... And the game rejected it like a curse word! Why?(It ended up as Poofie.)

It is often used as an offensive word towards homosexuals.

You also can't put up certain Pokemon on the GTS because their names are censored, so they need nicknames, for example, Cofagrigus. :x Either way, since there's not really much to discuss, post in Quick Questions next time. :3
