Jirachi December 3rd, 2003 2:52 AM

Which Rayquaza?

I am sitting next to Rayquaza and staring in it's face like an idiot.
I have a Master Ball ready to catch it, and overnight I planned two movesets.

Adamant Rayquaza with the item Sharp Beak:
Airial Ace
Hyper Beam
Iron Tail
Dragon Dance

That is the first idea, now here is the second one:

Modest Rayquaza with the item Dragon Fang:
Surf
Thunderbolt
Flamethrower
Dragon Claw

So which idea should I choose? Or should I follow your idea?

Spike Razzor December 3rd, 2003 4:14 AM

To be honest, I never changed its moves. Mainly cause I don't need or use legendaries.

Tonu December 3rd, 2003 6:07 AM

i would take Modest.
and that set r0cks

sh3rry December 3rd, 2003 7:35 PM

how about this rayquaza:
rayquaza@chesto berry
adamant nature
{air lock}|physical sweeper|
- rest
- dragon dance
- earthquake
- aerial ace
i used to have a rayquaza in my team, but once i read... "rayquaza is the cheapest pokemon of ru/sa" so i had to remove him, *sniff* i cant battle with my fav. poke.

Frostweaver December 3rd, 2003 9:07 PM

no... i still think Dusclops is cheaper... *paranoid*

the 2 set provided by Jirachi lack rest and strategy. Simply sticking on good moves wont' win battle. I prefer sh3rry's out of the ones here. But then again, I dont' like Rayquaza... or any other Pokemon with so much flexibility.

Dragon Man December 4th, 2003 10:03 AM

Name-Rayquaza
Nature-Adamant

Umm, Adamant nature deosn't make sp. attack good while it boosts attack. Modest does the opposite.
I think you got them mixed up.

Mana Lugia December 6th, 2003 10:15 AM

Dance
Quake
HP rock/Fly
Flamethrower/Rest
Lum Berry/Chesto berry/Leftovers
Adamant

Spike Razzor December 6th, 2003 7:49 PM

Mana, why did you use Fly as an option? I though you said Surf was the only usable TM?

Mana Lugia December 7th, 2003 6:13 AM

Oh, I meant HP fly (flying)

Did you do it already? If not do modest!

Ice demon January 1st, 2004 8:54 AM

Try these for rayquaza -
1.rayquaza-rest
extremespeed/HP fighting or HP ice
earthquake/brick break[can he learn this]
dragon dance
[Personality -adament and Ability-air lock]@chesto berry

2.rayquaza - rest
ice beam
flamethrower
thunderbolt
[Personality - modest and Ability - air lock]@chesto berry

I like the first one much more but i added the other one because i like SpA moves.. :P .HP ice is for other dragons and HP fighting is if he can't learn brick break.

latias rocks January 28th, 2004 11:04 AM

Adamant Rayquaza with the item Sharp Beak- those ten percent up moves have no good efefcts, use a stat rasing berry instead... salac or leichi:
Airial Ace
Hyper Beam- Return > hyperbeam... hyperbeam leaves ya open for a turn... which hurts
Iron Tail - Dude, only a 75 accuracy here... unless ur okay with that, but i'd prefer EQ
Dragon Dance

That is the first idea, now here is the second one:

Modest Rayquaza with the item Dragon Fang- Petaya:
Surf
Thunderbolt
Flamethrower
Dragon Claw

It depends on your rayquaza. If it has a higher special attack... then go for the second... if it has a higher attack... go for the first.
