What Pokémon won you the Elite Four in B/W
I have heard a lot of strategies for beating the Elite four but want to hear what pokemon others used to win
I used a Dragonite lv 66 thunderbolt flamethrower ice beam surf |
Assuming you're talking about Black and White, I believe I had my Carracosta out when the final blow was delivered to Ghetsis' Pokémon.
|
As mentioned above, this is assuming B/W's E4 before confronting N.
I'll just mention the teams that I used in both games. Black: Samurott, Scolipede, Archeops, Excadrill, Haxorus, Sawk White: Emboar, Sigilyph, Excadrill, Carracosta, Haxorus, Galvantula |
I always use three pokemon only, mine were Musharna Scrafty and Samurott.
|
Assuming for B/W E4. My Emboar really carried the team on my first ever run.
|
I recently beated the elite four with this team: Larviatar, Oshawott, Vanilite, Pichu, Shuppet and Larvesta.
The team I used to beat Elite 4 Twice, one before N and one with Alder was: Blissey, Lampent, Metagross and Bellossom. Also had a HM slave Arceus. |
My Serperior, litterally beat up the E4. O_o
Growth Leaf Blade Strenght Giga Drain But it was a bit different against N and Gethis. xD |
In my first playthrough I wasnt really ready for the last battle. All my Pokemon were very slow, and they kept of getting swept by Hydragon. I ended up having my Musharna put it to sleep. That was on the third try though, that seemed like a really tough battle at the time
|
Scrafty and Archeops were my key players the first time through. I think they almost swept through two Elite 4 members each. I also recall Scrafty doing a particularly good job against N and Ghetsis.
|
Scrafty. Literally it is the only useful Pokemon at all when it comes to the Elite Four. I was told that for my first playthrough and didn't follow the advice, didn't the second time, finally did the third time, and I was so appleased it was successful!! :) Just needed a psychic or a flying type though tbh, which I seemed to not have. :x Oh yeah, level 100 Herdier/Audino also can work against Alder in particular. XD

Oh well yeah, I see why it could be useful too! But reallyyyy, Scrafty has the advantage of being super effective against three/four, which Mienshao cannot claim, so thus Scrafty wins out imo. :3

All you need is a Dark/bug with him and you'll be good to go. |
Let's see if I can remember, I had Serperior, Vanilluxe, Chandelure, Victini, Braviary and one other I can't really remember, those five are usually part of my main team.
|
I used a level 86 (at the time, now hes 100!) Samurott
A Level 72 Volcarana Level 54 Mewtwo Level 100 Porygon - Z (Hacked from friend, i didn't use it, which was weird). Level ??? Zekrom (I forgot the level he starts on lol) And thats it. A pretty good team but i still dont get it. A champion of one region has a HUGE Temple!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man he must be good. |
my random shiny darmanitan murders the e4
|
On White it was mostly Carracosta and Haxorus that won me the tougher battles such as Grimsley and Caitlin.
My team at the time was Emboar, Excadrill, Haxorus, Carracosta, Reuniclus, and Cofagrigus. |
My team was what my teams been throughout pretty much the whole game. They were all like lvl 54 i think, im not sure...I beat the game quite a long time ago, but I think my team was:
-Crustle -Reuniclus -Eelektross -Chandelure -Braviary -Zweilous My pokes are all in their lvl 70's now I think, and I've switched out my Braviary for my trusty ol' pal SIMMY(Dragonite, LOL. Sorry for the terrible name; I was young and uncreative...). |
Just a confirmation, yeah I meant the B/W E4
|
My first clear was with Archeops, whom the rest of the team was eventually foddered-off to support.
|
First time winning the elite 4:
Samurott Darmanitan Sawk Krookodile Thundurus Haxorus |
it was Scrafty...who else? :D
and Samurott Serperior Emboar Unfezant they were 55+ so... :D |
My team at the time...
Samurott Krookodile Archeops Gothitelle Zweilous Chandelure Chandelure, Krookodile, Samurott and Gothitelle played the biggest parts. |
My team was pretty basic. Just mainly tried to get at the type weaknesses:
Samurott Simisear Krookodile Leavanny Unfeazant P.S. That was for Pokemon White. Currently going through Pokemon Black |
If I had to choose one of my Pokémon from my team that did most of the slaying in the Elite Four it would have to be my Lilligant. I would always just put them to sleep with Sleep Powder and then use Leech Seed and then use Quiver Dance followed by Giga Drain.
|
Tanpopo, my wonderful Cottonee demolished the last of the elite four. I don't know how, but it did. Probably how high of a level it was XD
|
My frist time through I beat them with Serperior, Throh, Krookodile, Sigilyph, Zekrom, and Klinklang. Krookodile did most of the work.
|
It was a combination of my whole mono-type Bug Team. But, Fon, my Crustle dealt the killing blow.
Fon ~ Shell Smash ~ X- Scissor ~ Earthquake ~ Rock Slide |
I believe the pokemon that won me the E4 would have been my
Scrafty Lv. 67 Hi-Jump Kick Crunch Head Smash Zen Headbutt Caitlin couldn't do anything I swept Marshall and Shauntal The only one I had slight trouble with was Grimsley But yeah, he freakin PWNED everything. It was amazing. |
I won the Elite four with my scarfed chandelure, just shadowball sweep everything :3
Chandelure Level 65 item:Choice scarf Shadowball Energyball Overheat psychic My problem was grimsley too. |
I remember my team, I liked it so much. The only two attackers on my team were Emboar and Gigalith, with the other 4 members being Roggenrolas with Sturdy. Then when I went into a battle in the E4, I'd fight until both of my attackers died, then send out a Roggenrola. Since he can take two hits, I'd revive and Hyper Potion Emboar, and then the next Roggenrola would do it to Gigalith, so I effectively had 3 Emboars and 3 Gigaliths on my team.
|
Krookodile Level 54 with Crunch, Aerial Ace, Earthquake, and Brick Break. With Moxie.
|
I actually thought throh/sawk and archeops were two of the best pokemon in gen 5. I feel throh (I have white not black) and archeops won it for me.
|
→ Tepig
→ Fraxure → Volcarona → Reuniclus → Sawsbuck → Scrafty They all had their own way of helping me beat the Elite Four, so I can't really say that one helped more than the other. :P But I love this team!! However, I wish I would have stuck with Oshawott (although this was my 2nd playthrough, so I decided to switch it up). |
My lineup was as follows;
Samurott Zoroark Scrafty Swoobat Ferrothorn I can honestly say nobody was a huge competitor, because I had very odd tactics in defeating a couple of them, and the others were easy pickings, honestly. I rickroll'd Caitlin with Zoroark at the front of my party with Scrafty at the back, then Nasty Plot'd while she constantly used Psychic. Every one of her Pokemon used Psychic once and then they died, or I killed them before they could get it out, like Gothitelle. Grimsley and Shauntal were wiped out by Scrafty and Bulk Up, while I used a knockout strategy for rhe last one (his name escapes me) in which I had one Pokemon hit him twice, getting him down to Sturdy twice, then had the next one take it out, repeat for the next Pokemon, until I was able to spam Revives and live. \o/ |
Krookodile- Good offensive force and decent speed.
Samurott- Strongest on the team, good offence/defence. Simisear- Decent special attacker. Was mainly there for fire attacks Galvantula- Similar to Simisear Druddigon- Pure offensive force. KO'd quite a few in one hit Zekrom- Used as a wall in order to heal other Pokemon Honestly, I don't think I was ready to take on the Elite 4. I only won due to luck and the use of many, many healing items. |
Cinccino's Tail Slap and Unfezant's brilliant use of U-Turn and Fly was pretty much my saving grace in the E4.
|
When I went through both Black & White for the the first time, it was my Galvanchula (Plural) for sure. Both of them murdered the E4 with Thunderbolt/Signal Beam, a Mild nature, Compound Eyes, and holding a Magnet. XD
|
Archeops
Zwellious Serperior Samurott Emboar That was my very first team battling the Elite Four, and Archeops and Zwellious tore through everything. Acrobatics on Archeops with no held item STABed at LV 54 and Crunch and Dragon Rush on Zwellious holding a Dragon Fang STABed at LV 52, then mixed in all three starters when needed, like Emboar when I faced Grimsley. |
The first time I went through I had an Archeops and all I really did was use Acrobatics and Ancient Power. That got my through pretty easily, the Second time I soloed it with a level 84 Lucario that ended up being almost level 90 by the end.
|
My lineup at the time was:
- Samurott Lv 70 - Darmanitan Lv70 - Krookodile Lv 70 - Hax0rus Lv 75 Needless to say the rest were a waste because Haxorus swept everything with help of a few ethers to replenish Dragon Claw's PP. |
my first playthrough of bac/white my team was as follows
-Galvantula lvl 80 -Bisharp lvl 81 -Golurk lvl 82 -Braviary lvl 81 -Beartic lvl 82 -Hydreigon lvl 83 (yes i did some intense training i always do this on my first playthough of pokemon games that way im more then prepared anyways only useful one really were my Hydreigon and Golurk the rest were just there... for nothing... xD!) |
My playthrough team was this:
Emboar Bisharp Beartic Eelektross Excadrill Resh for the last battles The poke that truly saved me alot was Eelektross, one of my favorite 5th gen pokes! :D |
For Alder:
My prized lv100 Bisharp <3 Though it was only lv68 at the time. I had actually just bred and traded one from white to black and used it as my starter. It was the last member alive on my team. For Ghetsis: Again, Bisharp. Though I had kinda arranged that one xD... EDIT: Didn't realize this was the entire team.(thought it was just the one that finished them off) For Ghetsis: Bisharp Empoleon Darmantian Snorlax Reshiram Yeah I didnt use many pokemon you can get without trading..... For Alder: Bisharp Empoleon Magmortar Raichu Venusaur |
Cant quite remember who it was and how I downed the last of the E4 teams.
I do remember my Zebstrika acting as a sacrifice numerous times. And Audino giving Shauntal a royal beat-down, surprisingly. Darmanitan and Simipour were my real beasts though. If I leveled them enough I'm sure I could of went with just those two. And Serperior and Garbador were like the backup guys. Bright Powder and Stench worked well for some reason. |
My prized Archeops, who just HAPPENED to have the Adamant Nature when I got it from the fossil. Too easy. He also thankfully had Dragonclaw to one-hit KO Ghetsis' Hydreigon, so I didn't have to deal with it's nasty moves. Didn't have to use many other pokemon rather than him.
|
The last E4 I battled the first time was Marshal so the Pokemon I used to beat him was Braviary. But this was my team against Elite Four.
Serperior lv 57 -Leaf Tornado - Cut Leaf Blade -Giga Drain Scrafty lv. 53 (Aiden) - Rock Climb - Rock Smash - Hi Jump Kick - Rock Smash - Crunch Braviary lv. 57 - Crush Claw - Fly - Sky Drop - Air Slash Carracosta -Lv. 56 -Surf -Rock Slide -Aqua Tail -Wide Guard Krookodile lv 52 - Dig - Strength - Foul Play - Bulldoze Zweilous lv. 55 - Dragon Rush - Dragon Pulse - Body Slam - Scary Face When I defeated Ghetsis I had Zweilous in my PC and replaced it with Zekrom. |
Vanilluxe, Darmanitan, Samurott, Golurk, Druddigon, and Hydreigon <333 Needless to say, I didn't really encounter any problems with the E4 :P
|
A level ~65 Weavile won me almost the entire thing...
The only time I used other Pokemon was for Marshal, because of Weavile's 4x weakness and Marshal's sturdy Pokemon. I just feather dance'd the crap put of Sawk with Unfezant, and continued my sweep after a few Swords Dances. |
First challenge, these guys were at Lv58
The second time (with Alder) they were Lv79. Archeops Samurott Liepard Golurk Lilligant Eelektross Fortunately Ice wasn't a big factor... three of 'em were weak to it. |
Can't be bothered to list my whole team so i'll just say the Pokémon I used a lot during the Elite Four:
My Dragon Dance Scrafty. |
The Pokemon that shined (and beat) the E4 was surprisingly...NOT a legendary! It was my L66 Mienshao. At first I was very doubtful about my team surviving the E4, but I'm quite happy that Mienshao and its moves were powerful against the whole E4. It even managed to go through the Psychic E4, Caitlin! /happy :)
|
Emboar, Seismetoad, Cryogenal, Hydregion, Musharna, and Zekrom....that was in my old save file of Pokemon White version. I think I played as the boy that time. ^_^'
I might use Victini to breeze through in my Black version this time. :D |
Quote:
My E4 team consisted of the aforementioned Scrafty, Samurott (bleh!), Sigilyph (kinda cool), Galvantula (OMG NO! So weak!), Excadrill (OMG YES! So strong) and Darmanitan (kinda cool). I believe I swapped out Galvantula for Reshiram when fighting Alder, and it was probably Reshiram that helped in that final battle against Hydreigon of all things. |
Before N: Archeops, Musharna, Samurott, Haxorus, Deino, Reshiram
|
My Lv.94 Dragonite with Outrage. Awesome. Btw this is 2nd time. :D
|
I leveled my Zweilous to lv.55 and it did a pretty good job of things.
Then I resorted to using my level 100 event Reshiram to take out Ghetsis because I failed horribly at it. Now it has unwanted EVs I can't clear due to the American berry shortage D:< |
I don't really remember how, since it's been so long, but my winning team was:
http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/0/0b/Ani503MS.pnghttp://cdn.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/4/44/Ani560MS.pnghttp://cdn.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/3/3b/Ani579MS.png http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/0/08/Ani637MS.pnghttp://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/e/e4/Ani589MS.pnghttp://cdn.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/d/d6/Ani628MS.png Scrafty, Reuniclus, and Escavalier were really the hardcore players in beating them! |
I remember Chandelure took out most of the E4 by itself in my first playthrough which amazed me because it was really underlevelled compared to the rest of my team. I think Archeops did the same thing in my third playthrough.
On my second playthrough, I'm pretty sure my team was very evenly matched and nothing really took the spotlight over anything else. |
My very first time beating the E4 I had this party:
Emolga, Beheeyem, Zekrom, Virizion, Emboar and Swanna. The hardest pokemon I had to face was Ghetsis' Hydregion by far, but facing Ghetsis was my favorite battle in the game. On a side note, I was really surprised how well my Emolga (Minipete) worked out. He was fast and powerful. |
The first time around it was my Simisear, oddly enough. Post game it was my Mismagius that swept everything.
Second time around it was my Archeops,. Third, and usually all of them now, it's my Jellicent. |
Oh Excadrill how you spam EQ and kill everything
Yep everything died to an earthquake and my awesome ethers. |
White: Emboar, Zebstrika, Simisage, Unfezant, Stoutland, Gigalith (and Zekrom against N and Ghetsis
Black: Samurott, Zebstrika, Simisear, Unfezant, Stoutland, Sawk (and Reshiram against N and Ghetsis) Both extremely similar, I know. :P For Black, I had already gotten extremely far on White so it wasn't very hard. |
I recently beat the e4 with emboar emolga tyranitar excadrill and axure.
Tyranitar finished them off with sandstorm/STAB crunch+blackglasses |
The first team I used to beat the Elite 4 + N & Ghetsis consisted of Krookodile, Mienshao, Stoutland, Samurott, Sigilyph and Lilligant.
Krookodile pretty much took care of most of the E4 with Mienshao coming in occasionally to OHKO with Hi Jump Kick. Sigilyph solo'd the fighting type specialist. The rest of team served as distractions for revives and potions xP The battle with Ghetsis was epic. My Stoutland the hero at the end of the day. The Stoutland was the first Pokémon I caught. He fought like a boss throughout my entire journey and never let up, not even to Ghetsis' Hydreigon. When the rest of my party were down Stoutland dropped a Toxic on the Hydreigon and we managed to outstall Ghetsis with my Hyper Potions. Stoutland was my only Pokémon who could take more than one hit from that Hydreigon. |
My Chandelure cleaned house in the E4 through my first run and it was a great feeling to have such a powerful Pokemon. It helped that I was just a bit overleveled, so that didn't hurt anything, either ;)
|
I guess I nearly almost used my Samurott.
