New Moveset Speculations

BW2 are sequels and hopefully some Pokemon will be able to learn new moves after 2 years! What Pokemon do you want to learn new moves and what new moves do you want them to learn?

Top of my list is Serperior. It should be able to know Body Slam, Extreme Speed and Psychic. Its current learnset is terribly limited.

Xander Olivieri April 14th, 2012 4:12 PM

Honestly, other than a Move tutor, I don't expect any changes at all.

Jellicent♀ April 14th, 2012 4:31 PM

I'd love to see Azumarill finally learn Ice Punch.
Serperior with Psychic? Mmm, not thanks.
I'd like to see Tepig and his line learn Flame Wheel.

OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire April 14th, 2012 4:44 PM

Kyurem gaining Sheer cold at a high level of 80.
I'll also like for Serperior to be able to learn earthquake to take care of it's pesky poison and steel type opponents.

blue April 14th, 2012 4:47 PM

Doubt it, they never added any new moves to Platinum, Emerald etc and I know they're sequels but I just think it is something that wouldn't really affect the game other than maybe a couple of signature moves for Black/White Kyurem.

Killjoy April 14th, 2012 6:22 PM

Ya, it generaly changes generation to generation, but I doubt they'd make any changes half way through

Bluerang1 April 14th, 2012 6:29 PM

I don't mean new moves, like a new learnset for the Pokemon. I know they did this with Platinum.

OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire April 14th, 2012 6:30 PM

They have given new moves to Pokemon before I beleive, besides this is a sequel, they can justify it by saying they discovered that Pokemon can use moves they didn't know they had before like a Serperior with Earthquake.

DarkWolf13 April 14th, 2012 8:04 PM

Move Tutoring moves such as Iron Head, elemental punches, Zen Headbutt etc. I would love for those type of moves to be added. Maybe it'll sharply increase the movepool for those who lack good movesets.

649 April 14th, 2012 8:22 PM

Klinklang is begging for a good moveset, but other than that, I think we good.

rocky505 April 15th, 2012 10:11 AM

Serperior needs more attacking moves. It's movepool makes Meganium's look awesome.

Mana April 15th, 2012 11:08 AM

New moves would be great, especially for the starters. Would also be interesting to include more combo moves like the Oaths in double/triple battles.

Zelda April 15th, 2012 11:18 AM

I'd rather if Pokémon were given more moves that they weren't able to learn before than getting new moves itself. Leave that to Generation VI.

The starters are begging for better moves. :[

SnowpointQuincy April 15th, 2012 11:18 AM

Flareon is possibly the worst pokemon to ever have a 130 Attack stat. It is dying for a new moveset. Everyday you don't march with Occupy Game Freak, you are killing a Flareon!

Can you handle that!

Imagine this line up for Flareon.
-Flare Blitz
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Wild Charge

It's better than nothing.

classiccartoonsftw April 15th, 2012 11:30 AM

I want Raichu to learn the following moves:

-Fire Punch
-Ice Punch
-ExtremeSpeed
-Aqua Tail
-Assurance
-Extrasensory

Also I want Blastoise to get Crunch and Shell Smash.

blue April 15th, 2012 12:10 PM

Oh well they could expand on the movesets of a few of the new Pokémon added to the Pokédex i.e Eevee, Metagross, Mareep etc.

dreamcatcher April 18th, 2012 6:23 AM

I'm begging for a Blastoise with Shell Smash! D; And Octillery with SolarBeam, Bullet Seed is no good with a special attacker like Octi.

tj4bigred April 21st, 2012 8:33 PM

They'll probably have move tutors. I think that would improve the movepool of Serperior an other similar Pokes.

I hope that Sneasel gains Crunch and Flareon gains Flare Blitz. As part of their level up moves that is.

REvan342 April 21st, 2012 9:38 PM

Id like to see a gyarados that can learn fly....

FREEFIGHTER07 April 23rd, 2012 4:28 PM

Id love to see a 5 move choice system, but I don't thing GAME FREAK can pull there arm out of there you know what so its prob not happinen

PlatinumDude April 23rd, 2012 4:55 PM

GameFreak will most likely change the level-up movepool of some of the Pokemon in B2/W2.

Anyway, I think that Emboar should get Close Combat as a level-up move. Hammer Arm makes it even slower than it is, and Superpower forces it to switch or render its attacks weaker.

Hikamaru April 23rd, 2012 5:19 PM

I would love to see some moves that were previously TMs be available as Move Tutor moves. It would be a nice feature to give more potentially better movesets with some Pokemon.

I'd love to see Giga Drain, Dragon Pulse, Iron Tail, Dark Pulse and Drain Punch be among the moves included.

@SnowpointQuincy Flareon definitely needs an updated moveset to help with its stats. Right now, it only has Fire Fang and Flame Charge for physical STAB moves.

Jellicent♀ April 23rd, 2012 5:47 PM

I think instead of Ampharos learning Electro Ball at level 33, it should be replaced entirely with Power Gem. Ampharos has pretty pitiful speed as it is, and Power Gem would just be just the right touch, not too powerful, but not too weak, either.

bwburke94 April 26th, 2012 6:36 AM

FR/LG/E included the missing Gen I TMs as tutor moves, and Pt/HG/SS included the Gen III HM Dive as a tutor move. I could see a Gen V game including, say, Dark Pulse as a tutor move, which would have the side effect of making Deino/Zweilous actually usable.

But it's already fast, I don't think it really needs Extremespeed. :(

Yes! Close Combat is an amazing attack and Superpower yeah... it could do so much better. It'd have greater potential than Sawk then imo!
