Bad Eggs.

My mate traded a milo for a feebas, and his milo got morphed into a bad egg.

WTF happened?

Some, please tell us, and will the **** egg ever hatch?
If so, what into?

Imakuni? January 14th, 2005 6:12 PM

No. Bad eggs are just as the names states. BAD EGGS. They will never hatch. Sounds like an in-game glitch. Sorry pal...

Lion Heart January 14th, 2005 7:24 PM

But it says it will take a long time to hatch.

DarkDoom3000 January 14th, 2005 8:00 PM

mabye its just saying that to make you walk around with that " EGG " and trying to make it hatch when it cant ??(or can it?)

Ive never seen any bad eggs do they look diffrent than normal eggs

Mr Cat Dog January 15th, 2005 1:31 AM

Bad eggs do hatch... but when they hatch, they corrupt their save file and wipe out your entire game and chances of ever playing it again :/ So, just store it in an empty PC Box just so you can forget about it and never make it hatch. Either you or your friend must have inputted a cheat code in wrongly to get a Bad Egg...

Lion Heart January 15th, 2005 4:03 AM

WE NEVER PUT IN ANY CHEATS!!!

We don't have any cheating device or anything like that.

All we done was trade Milotic from Sapphire to Fire Red for a Feebas.

When we looked at Milo in FR, it WASNT THERE and the Bad Egg was.

So, obviously, it never popped up due to cheating.

Mr Cat Dog January 15th, 2005 4:08 AM

No need to get angry or anything. Well, if you're saying that then, there are only 3 options:

1) You or your friend is lying and you/him/her have used a cheating device
2) There is something wrong with his game without the need for GS/AR
3) There is something wrong with your game without the need for GS/AR

But since you strongly urge me to believe that #1 isn't true, it must be either 2 or 3

Neon Methodis January 15th, 2005 9:36 AM

What happenede to the pokemon u traded to ur friend

Lion Heart January 15th, 2005 7:34 PM

The Feebas is still there, but Milo turned into a bad egg.

We tried to do it again, with the same pokemon (different Milo and Feebas) but it never worked.

Now, the Milo we tried the second time, can't be released, it says ".....!!", "Could MILOTIC be worried about you?"

So what's that mean!?

Okay. Maybe it's not you or your friend who have done something with cheats. But has you or your friend ever traded someone else who did use cheats with feebas or milotic? How did you get the Milotic and Feebas?

That is highly possible! Cheat codes can have a negative effect on the person that used them or a person who has traded with their friends. Why don't you ask your friend if he has and the code has some how only effected you.

Bad eggs can be created not using cheats. I never knew that! How though is that possible?

Happy Dude January 15th, 2005 11:46 PM

oh no.you have a bad egg.i use to have one on my leaf green rom.i think i used to many cheats.but it hatched and now my rom is all weird.so i think you should lock away that egg in your pc and never touch it again.

kohei January 16th, 2005 4:08 AM

Why did Gamefreak put in Bad Eggs in the first place? Most buggy Pokemon usually have meaningless names, but the Bad Egg has a proper name...

Was it intentionally put there?

KaneFan January 16th, 2005 4:32 PM

Maybe it's because it's just your game. Because sometimes something happens for no reason. It sometimes happens by itself.

War Raichu January 17th, 2005 3:12 PM

GameFreak probably put Bad Eggs in to prevent gamers from cheating, but somehow a glitch has made it so that you have a VERY rare chance of getting one even if you don't cheat.

Sassydoll76 January 17th, 2005 3:16 PM

Yea i got a bad egg bfore from my friend (she cheats) and i let it hatch and my file was ruined :/ i was sooooo mad

KaneFan January 17th, 2005 3:28 PM

A freakin Bad Egg appeared inside my PC for no reason.
I checked my box and I saw a egg. I looked at the SUmmary.
It said Bad Egg, came from a trade....? I didn't even trade nothing. lol

kohei January 18th, 2005 1:21 AM

Ohh... I see, so it's compleatly random, even if you don't cheat...

My theory is it's just anoth hex number or whatever.
Like MissingNo...

Lion Heart January 19th, 2005 5:55 AM

We both got the pokemon normally, he caught his Feebas, I caught mine and maxed it's beauty to get Milotic.

Now, if the egg hatches, and wrecks my mates game, we are gonna sue Nintendo and get Million and Million of Dollar.

And 2 Free DS's and Pokemon Pearl and Diamond each.

And Million and Million of Dollar again.

Mr Cat Dog January 19th, 2005 7:46 AM

Somehow I doubt you'll get millions of dollars just because you got a bad egg. Nintendo will probably fix your game, or even pay for a new one with some extra goodies, but they'll laugh in your face if you file a lawsuit for millions of dollars.

Lion Heart January 20th, 2005 2:22 AM

I think it's a reasonable enough case.

They/Game Freak put Bad Eggs in peoples game, intentionally, and then released it to the public, knowing FULLY well that the Bad Egg corrupts the file, It was MADE to wreck the file, and thus, it should be illegal for a gaming company to release a product knowing fully well that it can corrupt and no longer function properly.

I mean HELL they put the thing there INTENTIONALLY TO SCREW THE GAMES UP.

Million and Million of Dollar.

Happy Dude January 20th, 2005 3:26 AM

They didn't put put bad eggs in the game intentionally. It's one of those things that you just can't fix.If you look closely there probobly is glitches in everygame.

If they did put the Bad Eggs in intentionally, it would have been a warning to people NOT to use cheating devices. If the bad egg occurred in a corrupted game file (which can happen, like Jake said), then they'll probably give you an out of court settlement, like a free DS or something.
But if you plan to take Nintendo to court with a settlement fee of million and million of dollar (which you need to pluralist or Nintendo won't even take you seriously), then the judge'll simply laugh and bring on the next case.
