Lol, im hoping that some little Dutch clubs will be in FIFA 13, like VVV-Venlo and RKC-Waalwijk, cause those clubs made me good at this game. But then they have to beat the better clubs, though...

CarefulWetPaint May 11th, 2012 6:31 PM

Umm.. What last guardian? Did I miss something in the gaming world or...?

And what is with everyone loving Fifa? Ugh I dont like fifa at all >.>

I just wanted to say, I'm so looking forward to The Last Guardian. I played the heck out of both Ico and Shadow of the Colossus back in the day. Even better if it's somehow related to one of those two. I'm sure Team Ico can connect it without ruining the story. They're cool guys!

TornZero May 11th, 2012 8:42 PM

OMG, I completely forgot about The Last Guardian! DX How could I forget dear Team Ico?!

I absolutely LOVED Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, it's practically guaranteed that The Last Guardian will be even more amazing.

Also, for those who'd like to see an LPer I enjoy in action (namely GhostRobo), here's the first part of his Prototype 2 playthrough.

CarefulWetPaint May 12th, 2012 2:08 AM

What is this Last Guardian game/game series and why have I never played/heard of it! What did I miss out!?!

GhostRobo has a fairly nice voice to listen to, its not annoying or anything and he seems to have a lot of enthusiasm, though I dont want to spoil the game so I cant watch to much of it! I might go watch some of his other stuff now though!

Crap, forgot about Last Guardian. But it didn't really interest me that much... Though it seems like it might be worth a shot.

Hitman Absolution? I've played Hitman: Blood Money, and that was a great fun game. Looking forward to more of that.

A lot. These are the ones I'm looking forward to the most, ranked by my personal anticipation of each of them:

1. Paper Mario 3D
2. Super Smash Bros. 4
2. Pokémon Black and White 2

PokeGirlBel May 12th, 2012 10:28 AM

Wait is Paper Mario 3D a new story or the 64 game in 3D? If its a new story I'll get it.

If the rumor about MGS 5 with Big Boss in Africa is true I want that.

It's a brand new game and the fourth entry in the ever-so popular series. What I'm so excited about is that the turn-based format is returning, and even more-so that it appears to have quite a twist with the addition of stickers. I'm still curious as to the role partners will play in the game, though.

derozio May 12th, 2012 8:00 PM

I don't really view LPs of games I'm not really interested in so...I dunno about most of the people being talked about in this thread. I've heard of GhostRobo, though. :O

And talking of MGS5, I'm looking forward to MGR:Rising as well. :D

Some creepy music for you guys. Enjoy.

Shame on you all forgetting The Last Guardian! :P

XD Sorry, Fabio. I've been more focused recently on the recently-released SSX and the upcoming and more-advertised Assassin's Creed III (both of which's series I've been an avid watcher of). However, I cannot deny my love of the Ico series, especially their amazing musical pieces and remarkably high-quality graphic styles.

It's going back to its roots after the abomination (in my opinion) that was Super Paper Mario though some of the scenes were rather amusing.

I want the ICO/Shadow of the Colossus bundle - I've wanted it since they announced it last year (having missed out on the latter). Sadly the PS3 in my house has fallen to the yellow light of death, and the hair dryer trick couldn't revive it.

Haha, it is ok. I always end up forgetting games that are coming out. Twisted Metal is another I forgot about and is out soon I think.
I use to play it loads when I was younger on the PS1.

CarefulWetPaint May 14th, 2012 5:52 AM

Youre all talking about games I've never heard of or played.. speaking of which,
1 dayish wherever you live until diablo three comes out, tomorrow for Australians I believe.

Whose super excited and getting it straight away? Who doesnt care at all?

Shining Raichu May 14th, 2012 5:56 AM

What games is everyone looking forward to?

Most definitely Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Smash Bros 4 (both 3DS and Wii-U). So retardedly excited for both.

I remember playing Tekken Tag 1 and being addicted to it for so long. It was an amazing game for its time because it was the first game to bring Tekken into PS2 graphics. Now finally they're making a second one aaaaaa and it's gonna be so goddamn amazing! Jun Kazama is in it! She hasn't been in a Tekken game since Tekken Tag 1. That will mean nothing to anybody who hasn't followed Tekken, but still!

Karma Police May 14th, 2012 4:20 PM

Ahhhh I never got to play ICO even though I had it on the PS3. :B I plan to try and get Shadow of the Colossus from PSN once I save up my money.

Diablo 3, not excited much, mainly because I never played the first 2 parts.

PokeGirlBel May 14th, 2012 4:23 PM

I wish I was exited for GTA 5 but since know next to nothing about it even though it was announced in November idk. I love the series but wish we knew just a bit more about it.

Renyui! May 14th, 2012 4:32 PM

I want to get Diablo 3, cause i'll be playing it with my friends, but I know one particular friend isn't going to stop playing for like a billion years, and is just gonna get ridiculously overlevelled. So I might get it later into it's life time.

Captain Fabio May 14th, 2012 11:40 PM

I am thinking of getting Diablo III as well. It looks like it could be a cracking game.

What is the most fun game you have ever played?

Karma Police May 15th, 2012 1:14 AM

What is the most fun game you have ever played?

THAT'S A TOUGH QUESTION.

I have always found GTA to be really fun, especially when you go crazy and go on killing sprees. Ah I really need to get GTA 4. :(

Joshawott May 15th, 2012 3:44 AM

What is the most fun game you have ever played:

Jiminy jumping Jesus! As stated by -DeepImpact-, this question is incredibly difficult to answer. So long as we're merely talking about fun, I guess any Mario Kart would have to win that one. More than anything it's a pick-up-and-play game that almost everyone has enjoyed at some point in their lives — gamers and casual players alike.

TY May 15th, 2012 4:59 AM

The most fun game i ever played?

That must be FIFA 11, always beating my dad with 7-1 with a weaker team is fun, althrough he insults the referee a lot, insulting me for my precious goals xD

Cherrim May 15th, 2012 5:09 PM

Most fun? :( B-but there are so many.

Might go with Plants vs Zombies because there's so much replayabililty in it and I've always had so much fun with it.

TornZero May 15th, 2012 7:04 PM

What is the most fun game you have ever played?

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. Period. This has to be one of the most difficult, frustrating, confusing games I've ever played. And it was the most rewarding experience I have ever had the pleasure of obtaining. The music is nothing short of amazing, the storyline does absolutely nothing to disappoint, and the general visual design is just a sight for sore eyes (and it's post-apocalypse!).

CarefulWetPaint May 15th, 2012 11:33 PM

Most fun in a video game.

Definitely playing League of Legends with some of my mates. Its just so fun playing it while skype and just talking s--- the whole time. I dont think many games can beat that kind of experience fun wise. Very very fun indeed.

Renyui! May 16th, 2012 3:42 AM

Has anyone heard this?

It's absolutely genius. I subscribed to this guy ages ago, and when I posted this, I was mind blown. So many good times, encouraged me to go and play more classics.

Shining Raichu May 16th, 2012 5:04 PM

What is the most fun game you have ever played?

Every video game I've played is fun, this is a terribly unfair question! I'll fence-sit and answer with two:

1) Super Smash Bros. Melee/Brawl - that is just objectively the most fun game in and of itself. It is fast-paced action but it's not intense like Call of Duty or something. It's just an amazing concept and I could play it for hours without stopping XD

2) The most fun I've had playing with other people would have to be Mario Kart 64. So many goddamn memories from four-player balloon battle! SO MANY.

Captain Fabio May 18th, 2012 12:01 AM

SSBM is a really fun game.
I had it, obviously, on the GC and me and my mates would play it so much. It was such a brilliant game! :D

PokeGirlBel May 18th, 2012 4:59 AM

I feel Melee is the best one. Brawl idk I felt it was weird for some reason. Not to sure why though.

Shining Raichu May 18th, 2012 5:51 AM

Brawl was just an expansion on Melee, really. The only thing that really differed was that there were more characters, a more epic story mode, more places to fight and everybody's powers got amped up. The controls were different too obviously, switching to the hugely different Wii controllers, but I found the transition simple enough after a little while. NUNCHUCK FTW.

I thought I was the only one who liked Brawl more than Melee, as well as thinking I was the only one who used the Wiimote with the Nunchuk, but apparently I was wrong! :D

For you, maybe, but I know a few people that would disagree with you. It's a pretty controversial subject, really.

Kurui May 18th, 2012 3:20 PM

I'm not a fan of the Wiimote, the Gamecube controller, or the N64 controller. I think they all feel tacky in my hands, just the layout of them physically - especially the Wiimote, which the whole motion thing isn't really a big hype to me to begin with. I'm more of a PSX/PS2 controller fan, I think, but I guess that doesn't count for all the Nintendo games since, yeah.

Classic Controller, I'd imagine? Or do those use the same slots? (I have no idea, I never got one. xD)

I had no idea the new Wiis took out GCN controller support. :( That's really depressing.

Yeah I'm not sure about the classic controller. If it won't work either I'll just miss out on XenoBlade. Guess I can watch Let's Plays but tbh I feel there is a difference between playing it yourself and just watching it.

Kurui May 21st, 2012 3:18 PM

*Feeling like playing Rule of Rose again, but doesn't have enough plug ins to plug up her game systems in the new apartment.*

Cherrim May 21st, 2012 3:23 PM

Aww man, not having enough outlets is the worst. D: We've got enough power outlets next to the TV (well, in the power bar XD) to make it work at my place but not enough inputs on the TV. We've got enough HDMI ports but only one component port so whenever we want to play Wii or PS2, we have to switch one for the other. :(

Yeah, I watched part of an LP of XenoBlade and it seemed really boring... but now that it's been released in NA too, everyone says it's really good so I figure it has to be one of those games that's fun to play but not to watch. :P

CarefulWetPaint May 21st, 2012 5:56 PM

What is the difference in quality for HDMI and component connection to the tv. I usually play my consoles from component cables but recently starting using HDMI on my new xbox and I really havent noticed a difference, is there one??

Also taking away GCN capability sounds like a way to make people spend more money.

Cherrim May 21st, 2012 6:58 PM

There shouldn't really be a difference--they're both HD except the HDMI cable carries sound in addition to video through the one cord. Easier to use, I guess. Otherwise, they both carry the same signals. (I believe one can be converted to the other and vice versa.)

Component isn't standard on the older consoles though--I had to buy specific cables to hook up the Wii/PS2 via component over composite. It usually makes them look crisper, though, which is nice. (With some games, though, it makes them look worse, which kinda sucks.)

I feel pretty sad about the fact that I was never able to play the GC games. When the original GC console was released, I was too young to know about video games. So when I got the Wii I tried to find some GC games but I never could, because it seems like all retailers ditched those after the Wii was released.

I really wanted to play LoZ: Wind Waker :(

If only I was in America, lol. The regional lockout has really screwed my gaming experience.

Shining Raichu May 23rd, 2012 5:38 PM

The regional lockout makes me so mad. My state has no R-18 game rating, so any games that fall under that rating are banned from the state (morons). They catch a lot of copies of that stuff at customs, but the regional lockout means even if you do get your hands on a copy, you can't play it. It's ridiculous. I hate censorship.

Have them all. Also an addict~

Skyrim. I've never played the game itself and I doubt I ever will so I have no idea how AMAZINGLY AWESOME it apparently is, but the reason I hate it is because it forced me to endure months of my friends discussing crap like "smithing" with no end lol. Oh God the boredom...

Yes! SO MUCH YES! I got The Sims on PS2 and that got me hooked. Then I got Bustin' Out and I got hooked even further beacuse that's a far superior game. I got The Urbz but I didn't much like that and ended up giving it to one of my friends because he enjoyed the subject matter far more than I did lol. But then I got The Sims 2 on PC for Christmas in 2004 and I have never looked back. I've been addicted to the franchise and I buy every new expansion when it comes out. It's one of those games that should be boring as hell yet is for some reason addictive as anything.

I can't play the PlayStation versions anymore though lol. After I played on PC they were just terrible in comparison.

I had The Sims Bustin out, I had the The Sims 2 and I gave it to my sister. I have The Sims 3 PC and The Urbz Ds. When I'm in class I find myself playing the Urbz while the teacher is going over the work. Then getting out of class and coming home and playing The Sims 3. Think I'm an addicted.

Personally I always go with good on my first play through but if I feel like playing again Ill go down the dark path for more giggles!?

Kurui May 26th, 2012 12:28 AM

I choose the bad/evil path first always. But I usually play all paths in the end.

Alice May 26th, 2012 12:35 AM

99% of the time I'll take the good path. Occasionally I'll do bad things, as long as I'm sure I'll still have a good alignment, (Smuggling on the Telos station in KOTOR2 for example.) but even then I wouldn't do anything like steal from the poor or kill innocent people. I've tried replaying some games as an evil character just to experience both sides, and get more out of the game... but I can never handle doing it.

Karma Police May 26th, 2012 12:45 AM

Well, in a game with moral choices that changes the story, such as heavy rain, devil survivor etc. I usually go with whatever I would do in that situation the first time around. Then I replay to get more endings.

Though in games like Red Dead Redemption with the Honor system and stuff, I usually make sure I stay good because the last thing I want then is to have pretty low honor, making me an outlaw and getting shot every time I enter a town lol.

YungKnowledge May 26th, 2012 12:52 AM

Most of the time I'm a good but if I have a bad day or something makes mad I make the character evil just for the moment.

PokeGirlBel May 26th, 2012 3:48 AM

I do a mix of both art times

Shining Raichu May 26th, 2012 6:10 AM

The only time I've had this opportunity was when I was playing through Infamous. I didn't get far because I wasn't so much in it for the plot or the story as I was for "LET'S GO AROUND AND USE OUR SHOCKY POWERS ON PEOPLE!". So since I just basically went around rampaging the city until I died, I guess you could say I went the evil path :P

Cherrim May 26th, 2012 9:53 AM

I almost always take the good path in anything. u_u My conscience usually gets mad at me if I pick bad answers when I'm not specifically going for a bad playthrough.

I find that the dialogue is often written so awkwardly for moral choices games because it's too hard to write them with realistic choices. So while I'm a very sarcastic person IRL, I'm also very polite--especially to people I don't know. Thus, the only options that ever "make sense" to me in context are the nice/polite options. All the other ones are always either cruel or rude and I always feel like it just wouldn't make any sense to say them. The only game I've played that even came close to subverting this was Dragon Age II and that's only because I felt comfortable using the joking lines more often than not and they were a better middle ground than most sarcastic dialogue.

As such, I tend to prefer linear games like JRPGs where the characters and their decisions are almost entirely decided for me beforehand so I just have to help the story unfold instead of drive it along. :/ The dialogue always sounds a lot more realistic because it's fully scripted and doesn't have to take previous branches into account. (Not that most games DO take previous dialogue choices into account unless you made a decision in them--it takes me out of the game horribly to be super rude to someone all the way through a conversation and then when I agree to do their quest politely, they act as if I wasn't a total dick to them. Really? Yeah, I accepted your quest but you shouldn't be gushing all over me about how thankful you are because I'm still obviously an *******.)

Joshawott May 26th, 2012 10:54 AM

I pick the good path 100% of the time. Being a hero is the way to go!

New topical question.

What is the one remake you would love to see?

YungKnowledge May 29th, 2012 12:27 AM

Conker Bad Fur Day based off the N64 game not the crappy xbox game

Alice May 29th, 2012 12:31 AM

Super Mario Sunshine MUST have a sequel/remake. IT MUST! It's my favorite mario game by far, if only for the tropical setting. I love the fact that the game takes place in an actual town with real people, rather than on random floating platforms in space with no character at all. Also, glitches are fun.

CarefulWetPaint May 29th, 2012 12:56 AM

Without a doubt I'd like to see the N64 game Snowboard Kids Remade! That game was my childhood on the N64 when I wasnt playing super smash bros. Its amazing <3

Renyui! May 29th, 2012 2:40 AM

The Chrono Trigger series! Either a reboot or a remake, it doesn't bother me. As long as the Dream Team come back to reality!

Karma Police May 29th, 2012 3:07 AM

Other than Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, I seriously think that Bully deserves a remake. Not like the Scholarship Edition though, maybe like a sequel or something. That game was amazing.

PokeGirlBel May 29th, 2012 4:36 AM

Megaman Battle Network have all 6 remade in a collection for 3DS. Maybe add street pass for battle chip collecting

Shining Raichu May 29th, 2012 5:23 AM

What is the one remake you would love to see?

OMG. Tekkens 1-3 so need a remake. Tekken, despite being a fighting game, has an awesome supernatural soap-opera storyline behind it and the beginning is a very important part of the story the whole way through. So I'd love to be able to watch and play the beginning of the story with graphics and controller functions that don't make me want to punch a baby.

DarkAlucard May 29th, 2012 7:18 AM

What is the one remake you would love to see?

Conker Bad's Fur Day & Eternal Darkness

Kurui May 29th, 2012 5:13 PM

What is the one remake you would love to see?

Super Adventure Island, with new levels and goals, new secret stages, and more storyline. But still make the oldschool 2d gfx and general gameplay plz. <3

On a random note, I'm playing The SIMS 3 lately, and the husbando of my SIM confuses me. It says he is a 'couch potato' personality, and yet one of his wishes is to join the Medical Career, one of the more pressing careers in the game. lol Conflicting desires and dreams much.

Shining Raichu May 29th, 2012 5:40 PM

Couch potato might be good, there's a lot of sitting around reading for the skills you need in the Medical career XD. He can just be a lazy doctor.

Kurui May 29th, 2012 6:07 PM

True, true. He can sit and play chess to gain his logic skill. But the worrying thing is that higher ups in that career make you stay on your toes because you have to be 'on call' for emergencies. Hope he doesn't decide to just take a nap through those surgeries or whatever. >_<;; He also had shamefully been fired from his culinary career apparently because when my SIM married him, he had this nasty negative moodlet from being fired recently.

Shining Raichu May 30th, 2012 2:45 AM

The game doesn't have advanced enough AI for you to have to worry about him falling asleep in surgeries. When he's in that hospital, he's not your concern :P

PokeGirlBel May 30th, 2012 9:16 AM

Super Mario World needs to me remade. Or a sequel. That game is just so much fun.

CarefulWetPaint May 31st, 2012 1:24 AM

/Second wind.

What was your first video game console and what was the first game you played on it?

TwilightSkye May 31st, 2012 7:26 AM

Mario or Luigi? Mario FTW

Captain Fabio May 31st, 2012 12:49 PM

Everyone looking forward to the E3 event? Konami kick off in the morning for Friday for me.

Shining Raichu June 1st, 2012 5:14 AM

E3 actually doesn't excite me this year, because I can't think of anything of interest to me that they might be showing there. I can only hope they have some surprises to make me happy!
