Welcome!
Why not, I have no idea either, it would be very fun playing music with other people, even if they are scattered all over the world!

Also what's a bassoon? Never heard of one of those before.

Thats really cool! What program are you thinking of using for the producing>

Did you enjoy learning the piano at such a young age?

I don't know, I want to use Logic Pro and its fifty different plugins but I don't have the money and tbh I'm not sure if it's the right thing to buy.

Ooooo, that sounds like a pretty good program. Does it have a trail you could perhaps try out/ does anyone else know of any good programs Droomph could use? Preferably free by the looks of things.

Also good you enjoy music at such a young age, I didn't start until I was like 15 or 16 :S

Sounds something like that, and it can be easy depending on how much you care really.

Meah, I like dubstep nowadays and I really hate that people are like "ITS NOT REEL MUSIC DOOD"

That's the main problem I need to get over.

First instrument I started playing was piano because my parents basically forced me, but I was pretty into it too at the time. Slowly got out of it lol.

I see you said the first instrument was piano but your only instrument played is guitar? Have you completely given up on the piano?

The flute has such a wonderful sound! How long have you been playing it for? Do you play in a school band or anything like that because a flutes that kind of instrument if I remember correctly.

Oh, why did everyone have to learn the recorder??

Pretty much yeah. I can still play it. But I barely remember any chords, and know no scales. So I don't consider myself a pianist. Two years ago my band had appointed me keyboardist for a short while and I hated it. I would play the most basic stuff >> Now I'm back on guitar. :D

Oh you should definitely re-learn it. Pianos sound amazinggggg, especially played well, and you can do so much with them;

Why didnt you like it with the band! You coulda way busted out on the keyboard like a boss! Are you still with the same band? What type of music do you guys play?

Been playing for almost five years now, and the whole reason I learned was for the school band.

Everyone had to learn because...because... I don't even know why.

Cuuuuuuzzz....I just wasn't as comfortable with it. And especially playing in front of people, I had no confidence in my piano abilities. I wish I could've busted out like a boss, cause it's definitely true that pianos/keyboards can sound amazing if they're played correctly.

I'm still with the same band, sort of. Our bassist has become very busy with life and probably considers himself out of our band by now. It sort of sucks, we don't want to add in someone else because it loses the novelty that it's our high school band, just a few friends that got together to play music. The role of bass playing is being taken up by the singer right now, who also plays guitar, so it's not too bad of a transition. Who knows, I might be able to get some bass time. :3

We play alternative rock. We used to cover artists like Muse, Dire Straits, Red Hot Chili Peppers. Right now we're working on another RHCP cover, and a Kings of Leon song.

Also I know the feeling, sometimes I dont like playing infront of people, I use to hate it but I dont care as much anymore, I usually play at work to try and get people to come into the shop >.<.
The violin is a majestic instrument, do you play it in a band or just lone wolf it??
Which ones is the string bass again?

@Cacturne
Do you still play in the school band? And you must be pretty good now after 5 years! Any examples of yourself playing youd like to share?

@Pen
So you've been with this band for how long? Aww, Im sure the bassist will come back/ the singer will be able to handle it! Those are some pretty cool bands to cover, do you guys do gigs/ write any original music?

cacturne4512 May 8th, 2012 6:10 AM

Yes, I do still play in the band. Once I get it up to par, I might post me/the band playing some Lion King songs.

I started playing violin when I was around 7, I think. Been at for about 6 years but this year I had to stop actively playing it so I could concentrate on my clarinet and string bass. As for why I picked the violin, my parents offered me a choice between the violin or the piano. In all respects, should've picked the piano because I now absolutely fail in bass clef. :P

Gotta love my clarinet though. It's fun to play on for me and I get to join a lot more ensembles to play stuff like marches and overtures.

We got together in late 2008 I think? We didn't really start taking it seriously until about a year later. And hah, I don't think the bassist is going to come back to be honest. I love him, but he'd started to piss me off and I'm not surprised he's gone. His attitude towards our band one year ago, when we were finally recording our first originals, was awful. He was never around and would never make time for the band. Any free time he had probably went to his girlfriend. He still hasn't recorded his bass lines for our songs. I'd love to have you guys listen, but they're simply incomplete. Bass is so important.

We did do gigs back in high school. We played a few local venues in our city, and managed to land a gig at a rather well-known venue, where some of my favourites have played, including The Mars Volta and In Flames.

The now-pseudo-bassist of the band is wondering if he should go ahead and lay down our ex-bassist's tabs to complete our songs. As much as I want them done, I don't want to steal that away from our old bassist. He did put effort into writing for the songs and it'd just feel wrong if somebody else recorded them.

We'll probably start working on some more originals soon, which will definitely be recorded over the summer. Once those are done I'll have y'all listen.

He may have worked on the bass lines but if hes not willing to put them down and they are for the band you shouldnt feel bad about using them. I think the new bassist should just put down the bassline if its been tabbed tbh.
And that'd be really cool if you showed us some of your songs xD.

I'm actually in my school's ensemble, jazz band, a honors ensemble outside of school, and the occasional festival ensemble when that time of the year rolls around. And marching band. Marching band's awesome.

Week of crash course in marching, and bam, we're off to our first game. Our shows are usually fun and changes from year to year. I think this year, the marching band at my school's going to do something called 'The Groove', so that'll be interesting to find out about.

We usually play to a packed house in our auditorium so... I guess a lot of people? :0

I believe it was the harmonica and I forgot how old I was back then. I wasn't really interested with that instrument -- maybe curious is the better verb for it. :3

Thank you. ^^
Yes, but I now I play just the bass and the guitar because I kinda forgot how to play the flute; I only started with it merely due to it being a requirement in my first year of high school MAPE (Music, Arts, and Physical Education) class. Also, yes, the bass is my main, though I'm still not that good at it; it's also my favorite because I simply love the low sound it produces. <3
All right, thanks for being considerate. :3

Yep, they are. Just blowing on them was already quite fun. xD

What kind of bass do you play? And how long have you been playing the bass? Bass' do have a nice low pounding sound.
Naww well if you can still play the Flute even a little it still counts!
No probs! Its just that in the future I want to try and maybe get some full band covers going when we get some drummers, etc. xD

Haha my granddad was really really good with a harmonica so I was always like thats the BEST THING EVER but could never play it good :(

An electric, four-stringed one. :3 Um, I bought it less than two years ago, but the total time I've played with it doesn't even add up to a year 'cause I kinda get lazy and stuff, plus the songs I want to cover are usually fast-paced, which is hard for me. xD
All right. :)
I also actually dream of being in a band, yet it's kinda... scary? Haha. Anyway, I hope you achieve that. :)

The beauty of what I want to do is that you can play it by yourself and just record yourself and post it and I can edit all the instruments into one video and hopefully sync them all up! xD /is smart.

Oh what kind of music do you play! (I was kinda hoping that itd be that really big one that you play with the stick like a violin I cant remember the name of anything atm)

That sounds cool! I sure would like to see what you do someday. :)

Nothing in particular, really; but since I want to learn and be skilled with the bass lines of my favorite K-ON! songs, I'd say I play peppy anime music in a beginner's fashion. Ehehe. Oh, you mean the cello?

Learn the drums! Then we will have a drummer! \o|/ That'd be fantastic! I thought there would have been a drummer who would have joined by now. Guess not :(

haha CUTIE!!! Do you play anything other then anime songs? Like main stream stuff?

Yeah i was meaning the Cello I think, that thing sounds epic

He may have worked on the bass lines but if hes not willing to put them down and they are for the band you shouldnt feel bad about using them. I think the new bassist should just put down the bassline if its been tabbed tbh.
And that'd be really cool if you showed us some of your songs xD.

Meh, we'll see what happens. No, we never made money with this stuff. We just played shows to play them. Most of us were very preoccupied with school at the time, and now we're all ways away from each other for the majority of the year. I don't see myself making any money with this band to be honest, that'd only be later on in life when I've started playing with different people.

Instrument(s) played: Bass, guitar, flute, and hoping to add viola as well as piano in this list (though it's rather unlikely). :3 I also tried to play with the harmonica when I was younger, but failed miserably because I had no idea how to actually produce music other than blowing or something. xD
Are you willing to collaborate with other members: Um, I don't think so; I usually shy away from people in real life, so yeah...

You should totally be my new bassist.

CarefulWetPaint May 10th, 2012 6:50 PM

Naww thats a bummer that you didnt make money from you gigs! I'd love to make money from music I just need to be able to play a lot better /cries I would be very interested in hearing some of your original work though.

Haha! She said she shys away from people and youre trying to recruit her, very gutsy move my friend!

I have a friend who plays the drums, though she's not aware of Pokemon sites like this. Ehehe. A drummer will come, don't worry. :)

I can't believe that up to here, I'm called like that. :o Hmm, I'd say classical and pop...? Not really much because the only songs that I managed to completely cover was Katy Perry's Firework and a Filipino one; oh, and Minuet in G, though I don't think I played the whole version. I'm not really that familiar with all the genres...

Definitely the cello. Yes. <3

Play with meeeeee. ;A;

I actually fail at bass too, because I had to self-teach it to myself while I took jazz band at my school. I'm bad with tuning it too. :S

CarefulWetPaint May 10th, 2012 7:15 PM

Guys.. Im totally self taught >.< Havent had anyone help me at all in anyway! How many of you are self taught? Or do most of you have lessons etc?

Skitty the only way to get better is to practice! Practice practice practice! Find songs that you like the sound of then just get a tab or something and learn it, never giving up! Learning and getting good at an instrument takes a lot of dedication.

-cough-
I'd play music with you if you asked, obvs not good enough

Ehehe. ^^' Maybe when I get more confidence, as well as loads of experience, and actually travel around the world, I can meet you guys! Kinda Farfetch'd, but it could happen. :3

I also had no one to teach me the bass; no lessons and stuff, maybe that's why I fail as well. You play the bass in your band? I've never used a bass-only tuner, so I dunno how it looks like. Is it that different from a guitar?

Ehehe, yes, I know, but I'm kinda lacking of motivation as well as inspiration. Maybe when I get into a newbie/starting band, the members and I will all get better together. Oh how cool that would be. <3

I think I'm mostly self-taught on the string bass, though I do need to ask where my fingers go for certain places in 3rd position and the space between my fingers for them. Wish I could actually haul the school bass at home so I can practice, but it's too big for me to take on the bus, and a bit too fragile for me to be carrying it around the school too. :S Darned huge things.

I don't know myself, because I usually have to have my director help me with the tuning. Actually, I don't know if we have one too... I guess a normal tuner would work okay with it if you're using the electric bass and the line for it... Might have to try it out someday. :0

CarefulWetPaint May 11th, 2012 6:34 PM

@Skittish
You just need confidence in yourself! Im sure youre a great player! (Also a normal guitar tuner will work fine with a bass guitar).
Just start playing songs you like and then find a band that plays those songs/similar ones as well and youll be set!

@Flying
Whats string bass.. Is that a normal one or a big one..? I have no idea/ can remember at all..

Also I was thinking of putting up a Song for everyone to learn soon, anyone got any songs/ genres theyd like to see?

I know, but I'm really having a lot of issues lately, and confidence/self-esteem is one of 'em. Thanks for the support, though.

Classical. It'd help soothe me. Haha.

Classical. That could be tricky, I dont know many classical songs, maybe Canon in D?

Instrument(s) played: Piano, Synthesizers (They are distinctly different, don't judge), Guitar, Bass (Slap and Finger), Drum Kit, Mallet Percussion, Bass Clarinet, and I'm capable with Ableton Live
Are you willing to collaborate with other members: Yes, but my mixing board is being repaired at the moment, so I'd probably be just making ableton samples with my MIDI controller for a while.

We should do something super unique, like sample Baroque period stuff and lay a beat over it, or like arrange stuff for different ensembles? (e.g. modern electro song arr. for percusson ensemble?)

I dont think anyone else in the club even has a mixing board at all man... You're way a head of us.

Weeeelll, I'm not sure if I really have an example, since I was trying to be unique, haha. And thank you! I started on Bass Clarinet when i was like 9, and slowly picked up stuff along the way, and music contributed to my final school marks, so yeah, people don't realize how good it is.

I guess for one of the things I meant was to like, choose some pop song, break it down into all it's separate parts and rearrange them for other instruments. I guess it could even be like a Pokemon theme, considering the forum?

Oh thats pretty cool that you did it in school! I had a friend who did music for his finals and it was like the only thing he did well in. What instrument is your strongest??

Oh I understand now, like transcribe a pop song to the different instruments that the club members play and then sync it all up and edit it together as a kind of unique take on the song?

String basses look like these usually:

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/d/d3/AGK_bass1_full.jpg/177px-AGK_bass1_full.jpg

I play an electric string bass in the jazz band at my school because none of the classical basses we have is small enough for my height. :3

I would totally go for something classical too... though pop music'll be fine by me. n_n

Ill put up a song now Skittish, probs gunna be Canon in D, check the front page.

They sure are! I've been playing for around 5 years now, and I did give up piano because at the time I couldn't be bothered learning more than one instrument.
I can still play some simpl-ish tunes on the piano.
I'm going to do a Grade 4 music exam (for clarinet) at the beginning of next month, and I reckon I have a chance of passing.

My first instrument was the trumpet. I started it in the 6th grade when I was 11. I played it because my cousin played it, pretty much. Wasn't really thinking for myself there. lol

Ok I'll try..
Here in Australia there are 8 grades of music, grade 1 being the easiest, grade 8 being the hardest (there's harder stuff to do after grade 8 but I don't understand it yet)
Grades 1-4 are the preliminary grades
Grades 5-8 are the higher grades.
So Grade 4 is considered a 'middle' grade..
Basically it sets a standard for where one is at with their music.
Sorry if I haven't explained it very well, this is my first exam.

Hey hope I can join. A little about myself I guess. I'be been singing for about 7-8 years ish (started in choir since about the 4th grade). I'm classically trained, and with that I happen to sing alot of Art Songs and Arias; however I like to sing rock and pop alot. I'm a Baritone/Baritenor. I've only been playing piano for about a year and a half now. I'm also studding music ed for voice right now.

I used to be first chair clarinet in my high school, but I had to drop out due to an accidental medication overdose that near put me in a coma. >_<;; So I missed a lot of meets and had to be taken out. I still LOVE to sing, though, and would LOVE to collab with someone on their originals or covers as the singer. I'm very sick though so my voice fails now, and it takes me time to do covers, but I still would like to be considered. <3

I'm most comfortable singing Rock, Pop, Rap/Horrocore, and Operatic Vocal. But i will try anything. I can sing in English, Japanese, Latin, and German. I can learn other language pronunciations with time and guidance. XD

And in high school I learned euphonium, mallets, and some percussion. I also play guitar and it's my goal to learn a little bass this summer.....And piano, 'course. I've also done some soundboard work too.
Are you willing to collaborate with other members: Sure.

I played in the very small ensemble of string players of my elementary school, and in band ( for middle school and high school, and I was in a metal band my... sophomore year I think. In band I played brass and percussion, and in the metal band I played guitar and helped with various shiz. I just graduated, so I don't play in high school band anymore, but I might join college band. The metal band broke up.

(And I've been doing plenty of random small ensemble/solo work for a variety of events throughout high school.)

I have no clue how to sing this but heres my first try at learning the verse 1. ^^;; Hopefully it somewhat resembles the right tune? Probably not >_> I need to learn the words by heart so I don't stumble over them trying to read them while singing (cause thats *obviously....* what I was doing heheh......).

I'll try to do the actual record on a day I don't feel so sick so my breathing won't sound so wonky like it does in this test run XD

That chorus is really fast. I'm trying to learn the rhythm of it right now, then basically I'll have the whole song down rhythm wise.

Renyui! May 20th, 2012 2:06 AM

I have like a bass drum mic, a toms mic, and a snare drum mic. I might be investing in more later though, I really wanna get a fuller tone.

And yeah, I will drum for the track! It sounds pretty sweet, I'll give you that ^-^

Instruments- I play clarinet, piano, and am working on saxophone.
Collaborate- No thanx.

At my school, people tend to ignore the clarinets, and we aren't allowed in Jazz Band, which is the main way to get noticed in band. So, my friends and I have a thing about clarinet ignoring-
DON'T UNDERESTIMATE THE AWESOMENESS!!!
It's, like, our clarinet motto. We (or at least I) wrote it on our clarinet cases.

Are you willing to collaborate with other members: Why not? Do keep in mind that I'm slowly progressing on these three instruments, but with little effort I can accomplish something.

CarefulWetPaint May 20th, 2012 4:40 PM

YAY!! WE HAVE A DRUMMER! YEWW!
Now all we need is a bassist.. If interested just post here or vm me :)

Welcome Zayphora.
Oh thats just stupid, why arent clarinets allowed? I don't think thats very fair at all! You should protest about it.

Welcome to you as well Kroso!
How long have you been playing all those instruments for? I'm sure the more you practice the more progress you'll make and you'll be a fantastic player in no time! Always practice practice practice! :)

NP May 20th, 2012 9:36 PM

Zayphora: Whatttt? At my old school, clarinets were the shiz. I mean, sure the trumpets ruled the band, but everyone liked the clarinets better. Are you working on sax to be in jazz or something?

CWP: Clarinets aren't allowed in most high school jazz bands because they're not traditionally jazz instruments.

Kurui May 20th, 2012 9:49 PM

I decided I'm posting my UTAU stuff in here too. Its technically music making. Just with voices as instruments instead of digital instruments. C:

I have only 3 UTAU of my voice, but I don't use them frequently. I rather use my friends. Unfortunately not all of them have good mics or some reason their files get corrupted meaning I have to just use like 10 of their syllables to makeshift words. Either way it is FUN!

~~**~~

I didn't make all of these USTs, but I did extensively edit them, some to the point that they might as well be mine XD;;.

Hana Bob & Hana Futashi
Spoiler:

Voiced by my brothers, they usually duet songs and are kind of like boyband superstars in that regard~. Futashi's voice is more suited for pop songs with higher pitches and fancy pantsy stuff. He typically sings lead in songs. Bob has a more nasally voice, and much deeper and gravelly. He is suited better for some rocking songs when he solos, but he makes great back up to his brother.

Their recordings are pretty high quality as they use my mic.

Hana Bob sings 'Yuragi': http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=34025785

Hana Futashi sings 'Clingy Boy': http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=34068657

Both duet on the pop hit 'Loveless'. Futashi on lead with Bob on back up. This UST was edited by Mr. Dark. I had no participation in making this one:
http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=34026119

Ichijo Tetsunori
Spoiler:

His voice bank only has like 20 syllables because it corrupted on my UTAU along with a lot of other ones >_< and he was an unfortunate victim. He is voiced by my husbando, Kageroza-kun. And I can't seem to get Kageroza-kun to do a re-record. His voice is still sexy even with the horrible mic quality and poor bank. I make him sing all kinds of stuf, but my favourite thing to do is to make him duet with Kitty-chan's UTAU as their voices are eargasm together. XD Not that he can't make me eargasm all by himself =//=. Also he sounds more authentic Japanese because well, duh.

A blend of different songs by him. Just me fooling around with bends and all that with him: http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=33754092

Tetsunori singing the chorus to 'Chou', but I was having trouble making it o.o: http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=33753037

If you knew my husband, you'd know that he has a number of phrases he most uses XD especially online where he is even more withdrawn than irl. "I see" (kinda like, oh really? that type of I see) is one of those phrases. So I took one of my fav choruses from one of my fav songs and make him "Sou ka" the entire thing. But I otoed it crappy and the K didnt come out right.....but yeah, xD He didn't talk to me for like a day after >_>.......:
http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=33747004

And this was the epic "AHHHH!" beginning to Cendrillon, because Ilove his Ah's and I wanted to make him sing the girly Ah part XD: http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=33746958
My pitch bends are a little bad, sorry. >_>;;

Matsuki Hiro
Spoiler:

This is my favourite UTAU to work with. :D I love this voice so much but some of their bank was also corrupted >_>;;........Not many though so they mostly have a full bank. It was voiced by Emozomi-chan (female), but the UTAU's real gender remains a mystery. Still I love this voice. It gives me heartwarming tingles when I hear Hiro sing. XD I would marry his/her voice if that's possible. Before anyone asks, NO her voice was not gender bent. She has that deep of voice naturally.

Hiro badazzedly singing 'Funeral Nocturnal Luminescence': http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=33758134

Hiro showing a softer side of singing 'Beast Soul'. http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=33757241

It's time to du-du-duel. XD I found this ust and edited it slightly to fit. Hiro showing Duel Monster spirit singing 'Kawaita Sakebi': http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=33756911

Shinogati Reina
Spoiler:

Our resident Neko-UTAU! She's a gentle cat girl with a high pitched, small voice to match. She also apparently can't say Japanese "r's" XD But we love you Kitty-chan! She is voiced by Kitty-chan (Christina). Her mic quality was one of the more horrible, but her bank is completely uncorrupted~ YAY. Her voice is the perfect pair to Tetsunori's. I'm making them do a few duets with custom harmonies~ >//<

Reina sings 'Aozora'. I did not make the UST, just edited: http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=33756908

Vexy
Spoiler:

Newcomer, whos bank was one of the most corrupted ever, although not as much as Tetsunori's or Dahlia's. However, his syllables can match most songs actual words, as you'll hear. :D He's voiced by dear old Vexen. And his voice is as sexy as evar. He's probably my second favourite UTAU to work with, beaten only by Hiro.

Here he is singing 'Sakurane' which most of our UTAU have sang because we had a contest. He won with his version, almost full kill :D: http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=33908169
Note: This song was not mixed. Since we did it just for contest purposes, but I'll have a mixed version soon.

And this is a short sample of 'Blue Bird'. I made the UST myself. I also tried mixing.: http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=33922366

And this is a short sample of my fav song by him. 'If You're Not Here' (I think is the title). I did not make the UST but I edited heavy. : http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=33967412
Note: Thank you, Kitty-chan for nominating this song for him to sing!
The harmonies are sex in my ears. Vexy can REALLY sing. Really.......

Dahlia
Spoiler:

The worst victim of the corruption. Poor Dahlia barely has any syllables, but he wanted so bad to participate in the contest so I edited a portion of the song full of his very few syllable bank ^^;;; He has a full song coming out that has syllables more to what ones didn't corrupt. Also, no resamplers work on him. I'm not sure what the problem is...... Dahlia is voiced by Marly. Sadly, he doesn't have many fans. I hope his full song helps that change because he sounds so beautiful singing it.

Marly sings a sample of 'Sakurane': http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=33957878

ZuZu
Spoiler:

One of my UTAU. I made her more attuned for english/clear engrish. She has a very distinct voice to match her character. As of right now she can sing in Japanese, Engrish, and a good bit English.

Zuzu's Engrish 'Firework' cover (Yes, the Katy Perry song). Made by Nuku and Mr. Dark: http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=34024827

PONPONPON!!!!: http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=34024904

A request cover. I don't know where they found the ust......I think the song is called 'Stella Marine': http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=33754228

Manai Yokoshima
Spoiler:

Our most popular UTAU~ This is Manai Yokoshima. He is voiced by Mr. Dark who is the guy who got us all into UTAU to begin with. He was our first ever UTAU in Sumitsuki. His voice is very unique ^^;;; but very full of emotion somehow. People have stated that they could be "moved to tears" in the emotional songs he sings, which is what he prefers. I think he sounds similar to a Slig from Oddworld XD (but I love you Mr D).

This is my most proud work. I studied many UST and the song to make this. There was a very vital point where we thought Mr. D has committed suicide and this is the very song I wanted him to sing. I slaved on the UST for some days. So yeah this is the pride of my UTAU work on this one song right here. 'Uninstall'.: http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=34026203

His first song really ever released, 'Hidoor Utopia' and with it he scored the heart of Jei-chan XD Who is now his girlfriend: http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=34026041

There are many more UTAU >_>......but I save them for a nother post. So many ;___;. We are also mostly males (Girls hate me I swear XD ). But next you'll meet more of the UTAU cast. I'm going to leave you with some duets, etc.

DUETS
Spoiler:

Vexy and Dahlia get their groove on in the small intro of 'Insanity': http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=33954420

Reina and Tetsunori are 'Hurting for a very Hurtful Pain' in this WIP duet: http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=33750930

And now Reina and Tetsunori are begging for your love in this small harmonies test~: http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=33750004

Yaoi lovers rejoice. Tetsunori and Yokoshima make your heartrate rise in their sinful lust-driven song 'Magnet': http://www.esnips.com/displayimage.php?pid=33754166
Mr. D you make me jealous being all yaoi with my husbando T_T

And that is it for my UTAU tour! Part 1 anyway. You'll meet Jei-chan and the Futashi/Bob Twin's mother and more on the next round.

Have you played in a band/ensemble before? Yes, right now I'm in a rock band with three of my friends. We're the guys on mi sign.
Are you still playing with them? Yeah lmlr
How long have you been playing with them and what instrument do you play with them? Like seven months. I'm playing the bass and do chorus/second voices.

CarefulWetPaint May 21st, 2012 6:00 PM

Kurui I have no idea what UTAU things are.. But your voice is amazing! You are soooo talented!

Welcome to the club Dark!
I see that you are busting out in that band! Do you guys make any money from it doing gigs etc??

Also everyone we still need a bassist, do we have any takers yet?

FlyingHatTrick May 21st, 2012 6:12 PM

I'm sorry but I can't take that bassist position. Even though I know how to play the bass to some extent (string bass, might can try out the bass guitar), I don't have an actual instrument that I can take home. :C

Kurui May 21st, 2012 6:30 PM

Oh~!!!

UTAU is a program much like a music making program, where you place notes and lengths and edit them to make tunes/music. Instead of instruments, you use voices.

I get my husbando/friends/family to make banks of syllables, and that program uses my taking syllables and plaving them down, and renders them into their voice singing said syllable.

So it is like creating a digital....singer? I guess.

EDITO~~~:
Spoiler:

My beautiful husbando sings a pretty song for you!!!!! Click on his gorgeous face to hear him sing his luff for youuuuuu.

Yes, sort of it. In the last gig, we won about 100 dollars xD
We are in the process of let the people know us, we don't expect earnings yet.

Also, I don't know what is the project, but if I can be of help from distance (since I'm living in Mexico), you've a bassist ;)

EDIT: I've a question, can we upload videos or audio files about our music? I'll like to share some of our own songs (they´re in spanish, sorry XD) so you can make an idea of our work.

Kurui May 22nd, 2012 12:27 AM

I think you can because I am singing it from a distance, I think we just record and send our parts for CWP mixing. And I share lots of my things so i think sharing is very allowed!

CarefulWetPaint May 22nd, 2012 1:33 AM

Naww thats no good Flying but.....

THATS EVERYONE THEN! Just look up a few posts to the post by AlexOzzyCakes, it explains the project and has what song it is but for reference its:
God knows- Aya Hinro
And everyone is doing it from a distance bro, if you can record and upload it thats all that you need.

Yay yay yay!

You should feel completely free to post anything of your playing!

I dun wanna mix!! But there is a good chance I'll be doing it.

Squirrel May 22nd, 2012 2:31 AM

If you can tell me some good mixing software I don't mind trying it? o3o

Renyui! May 22nd, 2012 5:45 AM

Dear more experienced musicians/mixers,

I love critique on my stuff owo. Please give a listen and tell me how to make it better. Especially on the latest piece I posted a few posts back(CLICK). I would be so happy XD I want to become good, or at least decent!

I use Adobe Audition for trying to mix/line up vocal right and everything. I usually compress vocal first, line it up to the music correctly, then add the delay/any effects, etc., then I use the mixerboard for the EQ and things before mastering it and adding mastering reverbs.

Emmm, the metallic twangs in the more recent song are from the UTAU program itself because of the poor mic quality that generates noise. I tried my best to get him to work on resamplers, but they were crashing the UTAU program, so I had to use the default which leaves the noises in there much. I normally use bkh resamplers, but even that was generating noise more than usual, I think because of the notes in the song (It works better on some songs than others, and I think it was conflicting with the flags <_< somehow ). TIPS doesn't work with Kageroza-kun's voice unfortunately >_<.......

Are you willing to collaborate with other members: If you're in London, definitely! If not, we can oranise something, but it'll take a while.

I can't believe this finally came into being. This is HEAVEN. <3

CarefulWetPaint May 22nd, 2012 2:21 PM

Oh you must be pretty good by now then Control :S Should post some of what you can do for us xD.

Kurui you make a lot of stuff don't you! You're extremely talented, its amazing! You should be so proud of yourself.
Though personally I am not a fan of heavily synthesised voices :S So can't really critique that last one. The backing track sounds cool/familiar though. (A song by COB which name escapes me atm.)

Alexandra I was just going to use either Audacity or REAPER to do the mixing if I ended up having too. Maybe you could check them out and do it xD xD! (Still learning my part, slowly getting there... slowly, (All the chord shapes look really weird in the tab :S) )

Welcome Controversial?!
The collaboration is mainly going to just be done over the internet, where you record a part of a song with other members and someone mixes and edits it all together into one incredible track of the clubs talent!!
Im glad that you like the club! xD Hope you contribute some of your work as well xD

-cough- Good at guitar hero and plays lead -cough-

I'm alright. I mainly do covers. My voice is horrible (i think). I don't know where to upload any music anyways. XP

Kurui May 22nd, 2012 2:54 PM

"Kurui, you make a lot of stuff don't you?"

Well yesh, I'm a musician XD. And since this is a musician's club. And you don't have to like a certain thing to crit it. I thought mixing was all the same as far as vocals go? Maybe I'm wrong, but I tend to take the same approach for mixing whether it's my voice or one of my friend's through UTAU program.

His voice is smexy, synthesized or no! With VCV you can get an even more natural sound, and you can barely tell it isn't human just singing at all. I don't have any VCV to work with though. Nobody my team has ever made one. ;o;

Kurui May 24th, 2012 12:42 AM

It was helping a LOT with the noise in his file, but now whenever I use it the whole program just crashes and I lost all of the data in it.......so I need to find a way to restore my program before I continue to fix it up =_=. *shakes fishes at Audition*

~~**~~

I'm going to finally be featured as a horrorcore rap artist on an upcoming BC2012 album. <3 It will be my first fully public horrorcore song where I actually am oneof the lead. I have a verse all to myself and everything. I had a few people who were asking, but finally NN got an opening to make the album so I naturally choose him because he is my all-time favourite musician, both in the horrorcore and metal scene. <3

CarefulWetPaint May 24th, 2012 1:36 AM

Thats really exciting Kurui! Im very happy for you! Getting your work publicly publish must feel so amazing, as well as scary! Are you nervous?
Also whats horrorcore..?

And please do share Control!

Kurui May 24th, 2012 1:51 AM

I already have before so I'm not nervous but this is the first time working with my all time favourite band on a full album. I had only recorded back vocals of one song on an album, but not for the actual band.

But a warn, this song I did operatic on is explicit lyric (violence & some language). For that reason i will warn and spoiler and big letters.

Spoiler:

Horrorcore is a mix of metal hip hop rap with horror and gothic element. It is very dark, subtly beautiful music on the macabre. It is a very underground style, and one of my favourites, being I am gothic.

You can hear the first track I'm singing on instrument here:
http://soundcloud.com/kurui/bc2012-instrumental

This wasnt the actual full. He changed his mind, then he let me back in it and has a revamped, cause his dad died so we had to wait. But i hope we can do this thing!

DarkAlucard May 25th, 2012 12:24 AM

If the place of bassist for the project is still empty, I'll take it. It's a easy song (at least, the bass) xD

CarefulWetPaint May 25th, 2012 12:52 AM

Thats good to know because you've already been given that job >.< Thank you for deciding to participate in this project with us! We are all very appreciative!
When will you have it down and ready by?

cacturne4512 May 25th, 2012 4:27 PM

Top scores, I might add.
