Movies are awesome. I just bought Titanic and Prometheus on blu-ray. Equally excited about both. Two of my favorite movies. Two of my favorite directors!

It is like.. I thought it was a good movie, but it isn't a movie I would like to see again, if that makes sense.. because it makes me uncomfortable. Though that is the point of a movie like that.

I have to watch those other two, too. I need to catch up on my movie watching..

@[email protected] I still haven't seen V for Vendetta.. I caught glimpses and seen clips but.. yeah ._.

I saw V for Vendetta in the 7th grade... way to early. But it's a good movie, you should watch it! Or try, anyway.

I put it on once but then ended up doing other stuff and getting sidetracked before it even really started so it was just playing in the background..
Gotta watch it properly for once..

CarefulWetPaint September 19th, 2012 4:17 PM

Books r beta den moviez.

Atleast books have more details which make it more interesting!

I think BATMAN was the last movie I saw. God that was a while ago now.

You really should. My memory's hazy, since it was a while ago, but it's really gory and all. And it's send a powerful message. I just don't remember what the message was. -_-;

Kura September 19th, 2012 4:25 PM

:c What's with like all movies having to be gory nowadays? :ccccc... They are either gory or crummy chickflicks.. or mind-numbingly stupid comedies.

>_> I rather watch gory though.

And is it weird I often like children's books more than adult books? Kids books just happen to seem more imaginative to me.

Honest September 19th, 2012 4:29 PM

Kid as in young adult?

And V for Vendetta's pretty old, isn't it? But yeah, most films nowadays are alike. Still, can't wait to see the new Resident Evil movie. Milla Jovovich is hot. C:

Cosmotone8 September 19th, 2012 4:40 PM

Just finished the Red Pyramid series, while the topic is up. I love Rick Riordan's work.

Me too!! I am happy I found another fan! I have all the books back in my room in Canada <3 :333 Have you read any of the sequels or other works? I haven't yet :c

Cosmotone8 September 19th, 2012 4:53 PM

What's that series about? Now that I'm finished with the Kane Chronicles I have nothing left that I want to read. :/

Vampires >_> But.. it's not that crummy twilight bs for preteen girls. It came out way before twilight.

But a guy who gets turned into a vampire and travels with a circus.

I've read all of the Demonata series, and honestly, you should too. They're better then The Saga, imo. I also read two of the four Saga of Larten Crepsley books, those are okay, provide a nice back story to Larten. Kinda depressing, though. D=

Oh, vampires and vampaneze. Can't forget the purple blood suckers.

Thomas September 19th, 2012 5:00 PM

If we're talking about books. I am seriously excited for the new sequel to The Shining that Stephen King just announced a release date for. The Shining was one of my favorite books that I read in high school and so I'm definitely psyched for this sequel.

Honest September 19th, 2012 5:04 PM

You know what was a good book? Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult. Insanely captivating, it's about a kid who goes on trial for shooting up his school.

Thomas September 19th, 2012 5:21 PM

I seriously dislike Jodi Picoult's themes. She is a great writer (I loved her run on the Wonder Woman comic!), but I just don't like what she writes about. It's dramatic to be dramatic I feel like. I just didn't really enjoy the books I tried to read by her.

_Dean_ September 19th, 2012 6:01 PM

Honestly, I'm not a big reader. =\ At least not of fiction. I've got loads of theological and mythological books, but it's for my own hobbies. I read The Hunger games. They're alright.. LOTR was pretty good. Though, I did enjoy the movies a lot more. =P

Livewire September 19th, 2012 7:13 PM

I've read all of Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, some of the Hunger Games & Percy Jackson books, and some other stuff in those genres.

Thomas September 19th, 2012 7:20 PM

I was not a fan of Percy Jackson. I saw the movie and liked it so I read the first book. I was not impressed at all. Didn't even bother reading more of them. But Harry Potter, LOTR, Hunger Games, Enders Game, etc. Love those kind of books....even if some of them can be extremely juvenile.

Shiny Celebi September 19th, 2012 7:31 PM

Havent read Percy Jackson, but love Harry Potter and The Hunger Games. I will have to try reading LOTR at some point.

Thomas September 19th, 2012 7:38 PM

LOTR and The Hobbit is one of those MUST READ classics if you like fantasy novels. Just like Enders Game is a must if you love Sci Fi. It's the classics yo.

I don't know why I just typed "yo". I promise to never do it again. EVER.

Yeah.. don't do that. o_O hahaha.

I've heard great things about 50 Shades of Grey, anyone else?

Also, does anyone else get annoyed with the way popularizing things work? Like, The Hunger games. It's really not all that great. Though good; not great. But sooo many people FREAK over it. It's stupid and annoying.

Thomas September 19th, 2012 7:47 PM

50 Shades of Grey is Twilight fan fiction erotica that was repurposed into a novel....so no...I haven't heard good things about it.

Whereas, freaking out over the wonderfully talented Lights is perfectly appropriate and rational!
