What? Ofc, he can ._.

CliCliW May 1st, 2013 3:09 PM

48
If he's lucky he might find some driftwood before the Sharpedos come, but as far as I can see that's his only hope :P

Captain Gizmo May 1st, 2013 3:21 PM

49

No not really. Pikachu can make his own surfboard by using substitute.

CliCliW May 1st, 2013 3:31 PM

XD That's hilarious! You're just determined to see Pikachu win aren't you :P

48

Subchu accidentally surfs on normal pikachu and all fails miserably :P

Captain Gizmo May 1st, 2013 3:35 PM

49

Whaa.. Clearly someone hasn't read the Pokemon Adventures manga yet :P

~RNC~ May 1st, 2013 3:58 PM

48
Who likes to read these days?

Captain Gizmo May 1st, 2013 4:01 PM

49

Depends what you're reading :D

~RNC~ May 1st, 2013 4:11 PM

Sorry about the delay, Thunder kept connecting to me.

Substitute weakens his user and also its only purpose is to take hits, but you forgot that there are many Tentacool and Tentacruel out there, who will attack it. In the end, Pikachu wouldn't be able to surf on its substitute for long :P

Captain Gizmo May 2nd, 2013 4:31 AM

48

You should see Pikachu surf, Tentacool and Tentacruel are no problem for him at all.

Tyrael May 2nd, 2013 6:10 AM

49. Psh, who reads manga these days is the better question XD

Captain Gizmo May 2nd, 2013 7:19 AM

50

Manga books produces around 3.6 Billion dollars in Japan
Around 60% of books sold in Europe are mangas
In Canada, it generates around 175 million dollars in sales
Market is worth 250 million dollars in middle East

Still need more info? ;)

Tyrael May 2nd, 2013 7:27 AM

51. Nope. Seems like a lot of people enjoy boring things XD

Captain Gizmo May 2nd, 2013 7:32 AM

52.

Another man's trash is another man's treasure.

Tyrael May 2nd, 2013 9:58 AM

53. That is a very true statement.

alisaie May 2nd, 2013 10:15 AM

54.

It's really sad how people think books and mangas and so forth are boring and such and prefer video games over them. :( I want to shock them with a Pikachu.

Captain Gizmo May 2nd, 2013 11:04 AM

I love reading books and reading mangas. It's fun to learn stuffs that you're really interested in and also the Pokemon Adventures manga is like 100x better than the anime! :D

I still have yet to read Electric Tale of Pikachu. I used to have the first volume from a Pokemon convention we had at my local mall =/

alisaie May 2nd, 2013 11:33 AM

Back from '09-'10 I pretty much declared myself the number #1 Red (the Pokemon Special/Adventures version) fangirl. I don't anymore but my personal/ego emblem is kind of like a tribute to that time I guess??

Tyrael May 2nd, 2013 11:35 AM

57. Oh I love reading books, I despise manga though. Probably because I find manga to be too... How can I put this without offending... Well, just flat out boring and uninteresting XD

Captain Gizmo May 3rd, 2013 7:58 AM

58

Really? What manga did you read? Maybe it's the manga itself that wasn't good or something?

I myself prefer anime over manga since I can see the action in play, but if the story is better in the manga compared to the anime, like Pokemon (Both Electric Tale of Pikachu & Pokemon Adventure), I'll take the manga over the anime anyday.

alisaie May 3rd, 2013 10:34 AM

59.

I tend to go to manga when there is an animation adaption just because it would be easier to go through and thus less time consuming. But depends on how close the two adaptions are and so forth. With Pokemon Special and the anime I've learned that they're both special in their own ways and learned to not hate one because I adore the other. So in the end I like both the manga and the animation.

mozartm99 May 3rd, 2013 10:42 AM

60

I love to read but I've never really been that into manga.

Captain Gizmo May 3rd, 2013 10:45 AM

61

They have some manga that I find are better than the anime when they're the same thing.

For example, Dragonball Z. It has good fighting scenes in the anime but sometimes they just drag it for way too long, whereas the manga just gets right to the point of the story and doesn't take like 5 episodes to turn into super saiyan.

alisaie May 3rd, 2013 11:01 AM

62.

Completely agree with you on Dragonball Z. Actually not sure if I ever read Z but I know I read Dragonball which I found the manga to be better than the anime. I tend to go to manga with any anime that tends to have a lot of fillers too, so I don't have to sort through the fillers and also be farther along with the story.

But honestly, I haven't done anything anime/manga/etc related. I need to catch up on a lot of things like the Pokemon Anime, maybe read the latest Pokemon Special Arc, Naruto, Detective Conan, etc ...

Captain Gizmo May 3rd, 2013 11:20 AM

63

Naruto's anime got a crap load of fillers, but the anime got better fight scenes, so I watch the anime for the fight scenes =/
