What's your favorite creepy topic?: I don't know about favourite, but at the moment I'm most interested in the girl on Marvellous Bridge - does anyone know what that's about? x.x
Do you have a favorite character from a Creepypasta?: Joey-Raticate :(

... That poor poor Ampharos having to fight Joey. ;; Anyway onto a lighter note, does anyone know what the girl on Marvellous Bridge is all about? I mean, I assumed it was a Zorua or something but she never comes back so... who knows o.o I certainly don't for one, so if anyone has an idea it'd be great to hear it x] As for the Cubone Conspiracy, I don't actually know about it D: Anyone want to fill me in? \o/

Zayphora August 24th, 2012 12:23 PM

Alright, welcome to the club AlexOzzyCake! To answer both your questions-

-In one of the "wings" of Marvelous Bridge, there's an old lady NPC who says something along the lines of "Marvelous Bridge is so exciting! I'm taking a rest." After you see the Disappearing Girl, the lady will say something like "Way back before this bridge was built, there was a girl who liked to play with Abra. She was so full of energy..."

One YouTube commenter I saw interpreted that to mean- The old lady used to play with the Abra before the bridge was built, when she was young. After the bridge was built, she gained some sort of mystical power to turn back into her younger self, and so the old lady is the Disappearing Girl. When the girl disappears she is teleporting back to the "wing" and returning to her usual guise.

As for the Cubone Conspiracy, that's the theory that Cubones are actually baby Kangashans of some sort, and that MissingNo was originally meant to be the "Missing Link" between Kangashan and Cubone. Basically how it was meant to work according to the theory was

Baby Kangashan(MissingNo)--------with leveling and some item-Cubone-Marowak

Any topics? I love Missingno because the design (of any glitched Pokémon, really) makes me comfortable for some weird reason.
Creepypasta? Nah, never into those :P

And as for the Marvelous Bridge thing, don't forget the fact that maybe the programmers forgot to finish the script...if it was really meant to be like that, I guess that would be cool and all.

Zayphora August 24th, 2012 4:27 PM

Hey welcome, droomph!

Huh, .4, huh? Haven't heard of that one.
Does anyone agree that MissingNo should be a legendary? <3

What's your favorite creepy topic?: Marvellous Bridge Girl XD had an encounter with her before
Do you have a favorite character from a Creepypasta?:Innocent Celebi and Lavender Town Music/GHOST

Answering your Q Ozzy this is what happened to me: I was Biking on Marvellous Bridge normal right? WRONG! I had Zoroark somewhere in my party to level up biked past the girl and she vanished. She was standing beside a guy when that happened so she's gone and here is his response: "Wha..What just happened?" or something like that! Then this is what popped in my head: Well I have a zoroark in my party so I thought well woman must have been a Zoroark so that was my theory! Untill Zayphora told me otherwise XD!

EDIT:
You know I think MissingNo should be legendary :3 XD

Welcome Vato! :) XD

Awww yeah. I want in on this.

Pick a pokemon from the list: ...Cofagrigus

What's your favorite creepy topic?: I am a fan of canon creepy-pasta. That is to say, I love all the dark, creepy, and even horrifying parts of Pokemon that are either implied or directly stated but perhaps not all that well known. My inner knowledge of Pokemon lore occasionally ruins creepypastas for me, such as the white hand. ...Please, ask me why I chose Cofagrigus~

Do you have a favorite character from a Creepypasta?: Nnnope. I honestly haven't read many of them.

Olli August 25th, 2012 12:51 AM

I have no idea why it never came across my mind for such a club to exist. I'm a huge fan of creepypasta's, so definitely gonna join this.

Name: Olli97
Pick a pokemon from the list: I can't really think of anything, so I'd have to say GHOST, since it's the one I can relate to the most.
What's your favorite creepy topic?: Though it isn't really as creepy if you compare it to some other creepypastas, and isn't really creepy at all if you've already read it a few times, I was incredibly creeped out the first time I read Come, Follow Me. Most of the story wasn't even creepypasta at all, however when the end came, I was for some reason really scared. It feels like it was really improvised though, as it was pretty realistic through most of it untill the end came, but I don't really mind, as it was entertaining to read.
Do you have a favorite character from a Creepypasta?: Nope, not really.

I think the Cubone's were actually supposed to be baby Kangaskhans, where the skull on its head would be the mother's. I don't think Marowak was actually supposed to be part of the line, but was put in at the last minute to cover up the whole GHOST thing in Lavender Town, which I think was initially supposed to be between Cubone and Kangaskhan, but was changed due to how morbid it was to have the Cubone wearing the skull of its dead mother. That was probably also the birth of MissingNo, yeah.

As for whether MissingNo should be a legendary, I'd have to say no. It's already made itself a bit of a legend, but only as a glitch Pokémon. It would really make sense for it to be made an official legendary either, as it wouldn't be able to get a decent backstory or anything without changing its origin, killing like everything it's come to be known for.

I agree with this completely x3 It would be cool for MissingNo to be a legendary, but it just wouldn't work based on everything surrounding the 'Pokémon' D:

Graphic details - don't read if easily offended! <3
Spoiler:
Okay so I re-read the Top Percentage story last night and could barely sleep because of it yayayay. :D The image of the poor disfigured Raticate with the blood dripping out and... ugh. It's vile D: And imagining Joey's blood-curdling cry as he battles and that poor poor Ampharos having to have that thing attacking it... It's just horrid D: I absolutely love the way the story shows Joey's mind working though and the way that he even goes to the lengths of sewing the dead Raticate's flesh to his body in that way. But the description of him bleeding from the snout and getting severely damaged with each attack he makes and the screams and the cries and just... everything... It's kinda disturbing tbch :x Very well written though, I give it a 10/10 for sure haha.

Zayphora August 25th, 2012 10:41 AM

^I'm not sure the version I read of the Youngster Joey creepypasta was THAT gory....xP

Lol, tbh it's not like MissingNo will ever be anything but the infamous glitch...as Game Freak has acknowledged that it was just a glitch...:( *insert Forever Alone face---wait, nvmd, MissingNo has a girlfriend xD* but it would certainly be epic....

I'm assuming no one recognized the guy in my sig...:P

Olli August 25th, 2012 10:50 AM

There are more than one creepypasta about Joey and his Ratata, because Alex forced me to read it today, and it wasn't the same that I read a while back. I don't really remember much of the other one, though I know that this one is much more creepy than the one I read back then. But yeah, pretty graphic, and just the mental images it creates :(

On the topic of MissingNo, yeah, it won't ever be anything else officially. But still, it's a part of the Pokémon history, and most people who were into Pokémon back in the old days most likely know about it, and knowledge has just carried on through the generation. Most of the kids of the DS era probably haven't heard about it though :/

Zayphora August 25th, 2012 12:30 PM

Lol, ^I'm one of those kids...but one day these high school seniors were at my school for this photography thing, and this one girl's camera broke. The disk thingy was all corrupted, and so this senior guy was like "Looks like someone caught MissingNo" and his friend laughed, and everyone else was like, "lolwhut?"...well actually just me, and so when I got home I looked it up, and...suddenly...EPIC.

And that, my friends, was a long winded n00b explanation.

Anyway, TSUITC filled out a sign up so I guess I will too...

Back in my day, MissingNo. /was/ a legend! We talked about it alongside the Mew under the truck and the special super rare Pokemon Green!

...I have no idea what day that was, but yeah. o-o MissingNo. actually fits the only real requirement to be a legendary, namely having unique quirks no other Pokemon has. (If you think about it, being unique / unbreedable / one of a kind have all been broken before among legendaries, so that really is the only real consistency.)

And what is the legendary status but our perception of a Pokemon? If you ask me, MissingNo. is already a legendary, even if Nintendo doesn't officially acknowledge it. That being said, Olli97 makes a great point. Would you ever want to have it any other way? ;3

On a personal note, has anyone ever considered the implications of the Yamask -> Cofagrigus line? And I mean really taken it to heart and gave it some thought?

Please consider that both Pokemon have the ability "Mummy", which changes the ability of Pokemon that physically attack them into Mummy when reading Cofagrigus pokedex entry.

Yamask's history applies to Cofagrigus as well.

Conclusion: Cofagrigus are fully sentient, undead humans that /eat/ other humans whole and alive and lay eggs that hatch into humans that have been turned into Yamask (see: turned into mummies).

...They're like coffin-shaped, horrifyingly lethal /Yoshis/... combined with /zombies/! I don't know. I find that absolutely terrifying as a concept. o_o

Zayphora August 28th, 2012 2:23 PM

^Wow, I've heard stuff about Cofagrigus, but you really went into depth about it...You must really like Cofagrigus!

Tbh, the Dex has a lot of weirdness and creepy stuff. For example- Shedinja aparrently has a hole in its back that sucks in your soul if you look at it. However, if you use it in battle, guess what. The hole is pointed at you. And what about Spoink dying if it stops bouncing, and Banette being a voodoo doll or something that someone threw away, and Duskinor getting voices in his head FROM THE FREAKING SPIRIT WORLD that tell him to kidnap people? This stuff all needs a mention looool.

There's a really good tvtropes about all the creepy 'unintentional' things in Pokemon like that. Because when ya think about it, Pokemon's got plenty of creepy things in it for a kids game...

Dawn August 28th, 2012 4:41 PM

@Zayphora: I'm into canon creepypasta in general really. The notion that it's completely possible in the series thrills me.

Banette's a good one!~ The creepiest part of it is that it is apparently hunting down those who abandoned it. Little girls that toss your dolls away beware.

I like the ghastly line better though. Apparently, there's a hidden effect to the attack 'lick' that isn't necessarily expressed in battle. You see, ghastly and it's evolutions eat souls, but they don't drain them. When they use lick on people, or Pokemon for that matter? They're actually licking that person's /soul/ like it's a freaking ice cream cone.

...What a way to go, eh?

While I'm at it, did you know that Pokemon have immortal souls? They reincarnate upon death... except for when a ghost pokemon gets ahold of them. If a soul is eaten/destroyed/whatever, they are truly gone. That makes ghost pokemon the masters of death of the pokemon world. The grim reapers, if you will.

Speaking of awful things regarding non ghost pokemon. /Apparently/ Jigglypuff have the brain of a brick. It's apparently not all that rare for the jigglypuff species to forget to breath whilst singing and accidentally their life.

Yeah...

Zayphora August 28th, 2012 4:47 PM

I've never heard the jigglypuff thing...That's just weird...

Vato August 28th, 2012 4:48 PM

Yellow, the Jigglypuff part gave me goosebumps! :(
Which is weird, I don't get scared that easily, or with anything regarding Pokemon, for that matter. Well, not anything it seems.
Has someone seen that in Pokemon B2W2 in the Stranger's House (yes, there's a place called like that) there's a girl (A GHOST! :O ) that gives you the lunar wing because it didn't save her, and thus, she doesn't need it anymore...

Yeah.

What are your thoughts on this, could this be the ghost of a girl that somehow died in her sleep because of Darkrai?

Zayphora August 28th, 2012 5:34 PM

I haven't played BW2 yet, but that sounds disturbing :D I'll be looking forward to seeing that...it seems like it's a lot better than Pt's little sleeping boy...though that was creepy in itself.

The little boy is mumbling in his sleep.

DAR...DARK is watching me...

I think I might have read it, though I'm not entirely sure. At least I recall some creepypasta with a nurse joy and gore, and I think it took place around Mount Silver, but if not, then I haven't. I do want to read that one again though, so probably gonna look for it anyways ;p

There are so many creepypastas I'm being reminded of right now. There used to be another site with Pokepasta that wasn't part of the official creepypasta site, however I think it was taking down since the owner didn't have the time and money to run it any longer. Either way, I read pretty much every creepypasta on it, so I've read quite a few, however I don't really seem to recall that many of them at the moment.

Anyways, I think we could need a topic to go alongside all this small-talk, so here's one.

Has Pokemon creepypastas ever had any emotional effect on you. If so, which one was it?

Mentalii September 1st, 2012 6:05 AM

I remember I had read a creepypasta explaining why there are so many Nurses Joy, but it wasn't that gory, I guess we didn't read the same.

Has Pokemon creepypastas ever had any emotional effect on you. If so, which one was it?

The first creepypasta I read had an emotional effect on me, yes. I guess it's the most well known of all creepypasta, so, that's not surprising it was my first one. I'm of course talking about Pokémon Lost Silver. I read the story, played the game, watched videos about that (you know, with all those beautiful pictures with an armless Gold and so on), it was fascinating, really.
And then I couldn't sleep all night. That's so stupid, I'm (almost) never scared of horror movies, the goriest don't have much effect on me. But a little creepy story about Pokémon is enough to make me have a very bad night. I'm ashamed. Maybe it's the fact that it was about my favourite franchise, my childhood that disturbed me that much...
I didn't read creepypastas for a while, but now I'm a big fan of them. And I can read Lost Silver with no problem.

Zayphora September 1st, 2012 7:41 AM

That one wasn't the creepypasta I was talking about...
Spoiler:
It's the one where Nurse Joy is mutilating anyone who stays at the Pokemon Center, and turning them into more Nurse Joys...

It was really gory...:P

Anyway, for the question,

Yes...the Nurse Joy one makes me sick when I think about it, so that's the worst one, but I seem to remember getting pretty freaked when I read Lost Silver and Creepy Black. Lost Siver was definitely scarier though...but then I found this one fanart that basically made Creepy Black scary again. Part of it was in my previous signature. Im too lazy to look for it though... :P

The Shiny Umbreon in the Corner September 1st, 2012 1:43 PM

Ok so lately I've been reading Creepypasta so here are some of my good reads!
Good Creepypasta reads!

Abandoned Mew: http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/Abandoned_Mew

Duskull Chamber: http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/Duskull_Chamber

Hypnochu: http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/Hypnochu

N's Rage: http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/N%27s_Rage

Also the Nurse Joy one: http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/Nurse_Joy
I was surprised Zayphora never heard of it before I told her lol.

I found this conspiracy and thought it was cool so....

Is Ditto a... failed Mew?
http://th1109.photobucket.com/albums/h421/Shade_Hedgehog/th_DittoMew.png
Mew and Ditto both weigh 8.8 lbs.
They have the same sprite color scheme, with the same shinies.
They both can learn every move, though in Ditto's case for a certain period.
They both learn Transform.
Many Ditto can be found in Cinnabar Mansion where many experiments took place between Mew and Mewtwo.

Topic Answer: Well the first creepypasta I read was Lavender Town Music and got pretty far into research and I actually thought the music would cause harm but I still refuse to listen to it but who knows XD.....

Zayphora September 1st, 2012 5:05 PM

I totally believe the Mewditto thing. I'be also heard (joking) ideas that Ditto is a squooooshed or melted Mew.

OMG N'S RAGE...THAT WAS GREAT!!! EVERYTHING CROSSOVER TIME! IT HAS GHOST AND KCALB AND CYRUS AND THE RED GYARADOS AND LOTS OF PRETTY, MESSED UP COLORS AND-- EVERYTHING!!!!! so awesome! AND THERE WAS DOPELGANGERING GOING ON OMG NOW N HAS A KCALB TOO!! AND APARRENTLY N TURNED INTO LOOKER FOR A MINUTE THERE CUZ THAT SOUNDED LIKE A LOOKER LINE AT 1 POINT! *explodes in a pile of bacon and rainbows*

Hypnochu is great and disturbing, but not as believable and not that well written. But still, great!

Duskull Chamber was soooooo meh, derp, way too short and not very scary. Plus who would tell a bully something that weird?

And finally Abandoned Mew was...pretty good. I like that picture.

Now I've got some new Pokemon to add to our list!

Oh and also, I got bored and wrote a creepypasta-like thing...
Spoiler:
Camazotz

There is a little island in the straits off the coast of Kanto, around Fuchsia City. It is home to a small town called Cinnibar. The town once suffered a massive volcanic eruption, but they've rebuilt now. The town is populated by little orderly people, who do their job every day and go home every day, and are perfectly normal in every way.

...At first sight.

The people live out their lives in a completely normal fashion, have children, live in houses, and eventually die just like the next guy. But if you look closely, there are some very interesting things about the people here. If you are a visitor to their village, if you pay enough attention you can see that each one has a phrase. A line, if you will, that they say to visitors to their fine establishment. It is not just the old or feeble minded that do this, it is the young , the middle aged, the ancient, the new born children. Each one has a part to play and each one plays it.

The other strangeness is this. If one were to ask a Cinnibar islander about the eruption of five years ago, you would receive a response similar to this-

"What eruption?
Everything is as it should be."

The villager would then continue on with a different topic as if nothing had happened.

The strangest thing, however, is the old boat.

It's an abandoned old lab boat from a long forgotten scientific expedition to study the volcano. The paint on the outside is falling apart, the windows are securely boarded up, and the door is locked.

No one in town is ever seen going near the old boat.

No one has entered it for five years.

Not since the eruption that everyone denies.

No one except me.

My name is Red. I'm a Champion. A while ago, I headed here to train, and heard about this boat from a friend. I decided to pay it a visit. The door opened with ease. It was like it had never been locked in the first place. Just like that , I was in.

The inside of the boat looked like Oak's lab- And strangely, it was completely clean. Not a speck of dust. Except, strangely, in one corner- it was dusty there. And something was written there.

NAC LLITS UOY ELIHW EVAEL

I was surprised. This was the handwriting of the friend who'd told me about this place. What was he doing writing "LEAVE WHILE YOU STILL CAN" in backwards letters in dust? I took a step forward.

Suddenly, the wall swung around, and I found myself in a completely different room. The walls were covered in screens. On those screens were names. Names of townspeople, glowing alongside crude pictures of them, like in a video game. Sprites, I think they're called. And each name had a word next to it. An action. It was nighttime, and almost every one said "Sleeping". There was a screen in the center that showed a map of the town. It was cOvered in little 'sprites', with names next to them.

I was so involved at looking at this detailed display, that I almost didn't see the figures standing in front of them. The first was a...thing, I couldn't describe it any other way. It was a tower stretching up to the ceiling, dotted with strange symbols and patterns, stranger than a creature from another world. As soon as I saw it, my eyesight started to blur and I felt faint. The second was a kid. He was just a silhouette against the bright screens, but I could tell there was something...off about him. I couldn't tell. He looked like someone, but I couldn't place it.

Suddenly he turned around, and I realized who it was.

It was me.

My own face, exactly, stared at me with the strongest gaze I'd ever seen in my life. I was frozen. I'd blinked at the angel, I'd gotten my foot stuck in the beartrap. I couldn't break away.

A thought formed in my mind. It almost seemed like mine, but it wasn't. It was this.

You can't hide. You know. You will be found. We will find you.

Suddenly with a flash I was outside the boat. I didn't hesitate- I hit the ground running.

Because I knew.

The people were strange because they were under the control of the...thing and...myself? They did what they were told because of that screen, that mechanism...and the controllers of it had seen me. An anomaly. I was a problem, I knew and I could ruin it all.

So they were going to keep after me.
With everything they had.

Because it wasn't just Cinnibar. It was Saffron, Cerulean, Lavender, everywhere. It was theirs. Everything, everyone was theirs.

Except for me.

I was the only one. And I was able to keep running.

Until now.

And I'm standing on top of this mountain. I'm tired of running. I'm going to fight whatever they send at me. And I thought I'd write it down in case I wasn't the only one. In case there were others out there.

And I think I have to get this story out before---

Alright, MissingNo seems to have eaten my previous post, but I'm gonna post a new topic because this club is lonely.

What do you think of the Old Chateau?

This link here explains the mythology behind it a lot better than I can sooooo-
Http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=283349
Read that, and tell me what you think!

Mentalii September 5th, 2012 11:59 AM

It's fascinating. I wonder what happened in this Old Château. It's supposed to be very old, so it's difficult to explain the reason of the TV's presence, hence difficult to explain how Rotom appeared. I don't know what to think about that. And I love the ghosts. Which must have been killed by Rotom.

Dawn September 6th, 2012 6:31 AM

@Mentalii: I actually question the part about Rotom creating the ghosts, not because I don't think Rotom wouldn't kill, but because... ghosts generally eat souls! If one's soul is eaten, they're gone! Or at least trapped in a tummy~ *Sagenod*

Which raises the question of what /other/ plausible explanations there might be!

Judging by the architecture and condition of the chateau, I might suggest that it's probably very old, and hasn't been maintained in quite some time. Ghosts are drawn to spiritual energy. What could've happened to draw them to the chateau? More interestingly, human ghosts! What keeps their spirits bound to the ground? Why? Is it unfinished business? Did something tragic happen there? That would explain the presence of ghost pokemon. At first it was probably minor, but without proper treatment the population skyrocketed until the huge infestation we see now became.

Zayphora September 7th, 2012 4:34 PM

I've also heard that Charon apparently lived there as a child and is responsible for the deaths of the little girl and the butler...That's my favorite theory. It is weird that there should be a TV in such an old house, though...Yeah. That'a certainly interesting.

Also would like to point out that the "Old Gateau" status-healing item is supposed to be...a cake? It looks nothing like a cake...It was never a cake of any kind...*Insert Portal joke here*

And if anyone cares, I realized that my current sig sort of ruined the trivia question- it's Kcalb. Yes. YESSS---
So I changed the trivia question. Go look at it yourself, I'm too lazy to write it down twice :P

Also, gotta reccomend the Creepypasta known as Loss of Purpose. Very good :D

roosterman September 7th, 2012 7:13 PM

i'm not so sure about all these questions about creepypasta but my favorite theory is the wobbuffet missingno theory that says wobbuffet is protecting and hiding missingno
(aka his tail)and in return they give him psychic powers

Zayphora September 9th, 2012 3:57 PM

^That...is awesome. SERIOUSLY AWESOME. That has now replaced the previous theory I've heard, which is that Wobuffet's tail is the real Wobuffet and the giant blue part is an inflatable decoy. SO EPIC <3333

Are you saying you wanna join? I put you on the member list if so. Just checking :D

Olli September 10th, 2012 4:15 AM

I think the Wobbuffet theory that Zayphora mentioned is more likely. I mean, taking into account that Wobbuffet actually is mostly used as a decoy, or at least for protection purposes with Counter and all, it'd make sense that the main part of it was just a kind of shield to defend itself with, as its actual body is weak and defenseless.

That's not to say that the MissingNo theory isn't possibly, it just wouldn't be as likely to be the truth. There's just one really important thing you have to remember, and that is, that MissingNo isn't anything more than a glitch. Of course the fanbase has built on to the origin of MissingNo, but they're all fanmade theories or stories, and MissingNo doesn't really play as anything more in the Pokemon world than an, at the first time around, a widely spread rumour, which was later proven to be true, however just a glitch. The second generation came relatively close to the first generation, and there had probably been enough time to give MissingNo a lot of fame, however, the first thing the developers think about is probably the Pokemon. Backstories and such may not be thought out before late into the development, however the designs probably come early on, which would probably mean that Wobbuffet was designed before MissingNo got so famous, kinda overruling the theory.

But alas, it's just a theory. It could very well be true, but these are just my thoughts on it.

Zayphora September 15th, 2012 6:49 AM

This club needs ressurected.

What do you think of the Venomoth/Butterfree conspiracy?

Olli September 16th, 2012 8:29 AM

Ah, that old theory. I actually think it's very plausible. I can't say much for Venomoth being part of the Caterpie line, however Butterfree definitely looks like an evolution of Venonat. I mean, there are so many similarities, the colours, the eyes, it'd just make sense for Butterfree to be the evolution. As for Metapod to Venomoth, I don't actually see much similarity except for the eyes, however it could be possible either way. I've always believed that theory, solely based on the similarities between Venonat and Butterfree.

Favorite Pokemon: Gengar
Favorite creepy topic: Buried Alive and White Hand
Favorite creepy pasta character: I forget the kids name but the Cyndaquil who he has to save from dieing after he does the copy glitch.

Hello?

Name: Drgons90
Favorite Pokemon: Mismagius, pokedex says its cries can cause torment
Favorite Creepypasta Topic: Everything about Lavender Town and Pokemon Tower
Favorite Creepypasta Character: None atm. Does the Ghost count? The one where you need a Silph Scope or something to see.

I'm interested in learning more about lavender town. That thing changed my life. I can't go to toilet alone during 9:00 PM and later on.

As for the topic, I'm conviced. How can large red eyes and purple bodies on both pokemon be not convincing? I have nothing to say except that though.

Zayphora September 18th, 2012 2:56 PM

Welcome to le new members! Thanks for joining...

So, yeah, my answer is-

I think it's totally true! I mean, Butterfree is so puffy and large in its body type, and Venomoth is slim, with thinner wings, abdomen, even antennae. Add that to all the evidence, and we have a totally plausible theory!

Because we brought this up, what about Psyduck and Golduck? It has been speculated that their names were switched, and it makes a TON of sense. Psyduck is YELLOW, and Golduck has PSYCHIC POWERS. I totally believe that.

Also, just thought I'd mention that to post your opinion, you need to join the club first. Basically, that means don't spam :D

And EQUALSGAMER- Are you referring to the Creepypasta known as "Quilava Is Mourning?" Because that's the only one that comes to mind when you say that.

Drgons90 September 22nd, 2012 12:26 PM

Club is dead(pun not intented)? May I start a topic?

Zayphora September 22nd, 2012 5:16 PM

Go ahead. Everyone is always welcome to start a topic :P

Drgons90 September 23rd, 2012 10:30 AM

Here goes then......

Have you listened to the original version of Lavender Town music? If so, how did you feel?

Well, I started with low volume, but gradually raised it. I almost freaked out at the part where the music kinda crashed. I felt something like where you hear a high pitch and pain lingers in your ears....

Zayphora September 29th, 2012 5:24 AM

I've never actually listened to it, mainly because I read the comments on the video and got freaked out...:P I have watched the video, and have seen the Missing Frequencies (you know, where it says "LEAVE NOW" in Unown letters, and has a sprite of the freaking GHOST!!! omg)...just with the sound off.

Psystar63 September 30th, 2012 1:36 PM

Yes! A club to satisfy my Pokemon Creepypasta needs!

Name: Psystar63
Pick a pokemon from the list: Eevee
What's your favorite Pokemon creepy topic?: Whitehand and BuriedAlive. A zombie in Pokemon games???? :P
Do you have a favorite character from a Pokemon Creepypasta?: LEAF and Lonliness the Eevee from Abandon Lonliness. Ghost from Creepy Black is cool too.

Have you listened to the original version of Lavender Town music? If so, how did you feel?
The first time I heard the Lavender Town theme music was back when I was little, playing Gold. I didn't think much of it- I actually kind of liked it. I never heard the original version of the Lavender Town music until now when I began playing Blue on my Laptop... My gosh, once you hear it, you never forget it.
Listening to it is rather unnerving for me. If I turn it up too loud or wear headphones, it actually starts to hurt my ears a bit.
And it gets REALLY CREEPY when you listen to it slowed down.

Zayphora October 4th, 2012 4:50 PM

Arright, welcome!

New Topic-

Have you heard of Violet and Ava?(if not look it up!)

Tman October 4th, 2012 7:13 PM

Name: Tman109ner (You can call me Tman)
Pick a pokemon from the list: Raticate (But I prefer Gary's to Joey's)
What's your favorite Pokemon creepy topic?:The theory that in Gen 1 you may have killed Gary's Raticate.
Do you have a favorite character from a Pokemon Creepypasta?: Probably the character from Lost Silver.

Anyone wanna spread some light on me as what the deal is with Joey-Raticate?

Zayphora October 5th, 2012 11:32 AM

Well, Joey's Raticate is the story in which Joey sews parts of other Pokemon onto his Raticate in order to make it more powerful, and when it dies, he does the same to himself. There's 2 versions of it. I think the gorier one is called Top Percentage.

Anyway, welcome to the club! I'll add you in a bit here :D

No, I haven't heard of Violet and Ava... what's it about?

Anyway, Tman, here's the link to the more gorier version of the Joey's Rattata/Raticate creepypasta... if you're interested in reading it:

http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/Top_Percentage

I hadn't actually read that version until now. It's definitely going into my top ten!

Zayphora October 5th, 2012 5:40 PM

Well, Violet is a purple Gardevoir, who is sometimes described as being a dead girl who got sucked into the game and now goes around bothering people. Ava is a black and purple glowing Eevee, and I din't know as much about her, but I do know that at times, Violet and Ava are said to torment a certain person, working together. Violet also often uses Attract and Scary Face on people to get attention. There are various creepypastas about them, and I was just wondering if anyone had heard of them or God forbid had an encounter with them...

Also, what do you guys think of my new Kcalb signature :D

Oo, they sound creepy. No, I've been fortunate enough not to have any such experiences with them, though I am interested... and I hope I never do, unless if it's in a hack... Have there been many encounters with them, cause I'd like to read some.

Love the Kcalb sig BTW! Awesome stuff!! XD

Zayphora October 6th, 2012 6:15 AM

There are quite a lot of Violet and/or Ava creepypastas on the blog "f yeah pokemon creepy-pasta". They have a lot of weird stuff there. Some of the stories on that blog are good, but some are just LAME. But it's definitely something to check out =D I've found some great Red stuff on there.

Also, have any of you guys read "Snow on Mount Silver?" That's a good one. Wonderful fanart :P

Tman October 10th, 2012 4:15 PM

Just read the Snow on Mount Silver story. Another one to give me the creeps at night. The more realistic ones always fascinate me more than the absolutely impossible (or not?) stories that you sometimes find. (ie; some of the overproduced Violet/Ava's)

Zayphora October 10th, 2012 6:10 PM

I agree with you, Snow on Mt Silver is definitely one of the most descriptive and believeable ones. Most of the Violet/Ava's are LAME. They are completely unrealistic...:P another good one to read is Loss of Purpose...that one is kind of depressing, though...but if you like Snow on Mt Silver you'll probably like it.

Alright, I was thinking about this recently, but WHY THE HECK ARE ALL THE CREEPYPASTAS ABOUT 1ST, 2ND, OR (rarely) 5TH GEN?! I mean, 4th and 3rd could use some love xP
I mean, don't get me wrong, I love Red, and the classic Lost Silver/Creepy Black/Glitchy Red/etc is pretty great, but I feel like 3rd through 5th gen gets frequently neglected. Seriously. I was thinking about the Internet's "profiles" of the Protags based on Creepypastas and the like, and this is what I came up with-

Red- Often portrayed as a deadly silent demon child who preys on Gold and other characters; also, typically, if a character is going to go sentient in a game, it's him. Sometimes is simply the unfortunate hero. TONS of fanart.

Gold- Typically "that kid from Lost Silver who got his arms ripped off" or the prey of another Ghost, Red, etc.

Kris, Lyra, Leaf- Barely used except sometimes as Ghost bait or a protag.

Brendan, May, Lucas, and Dawn--nothing. NOTHING.

Hilbert, aka Black- Rarely seen unless he's the hero. His other personality is also rarely featured, even though he attracts plenty of fanart.

Hilda, aka White- Even less featured, but will occasionally make a cameo.

What the heck?!

Ralaia October 11th, 2012 1:09 PM

Ohh I think I read Snow on Mt. Silver? :D I'm such a bad co-owner
I think it is time for a new Topic! :D

Have you ever believed a creepy pasta?

I admit I have, and the one I did believe was the Lavender Town music. (Which still creeps me out.)

If you look back on it though, the older gens had more to branch off from. The old dark pixels always provided an eerie look on things. Looking to Gen 3, most of the region, and the game itself, is more of a happier vibe. In Gen 4, besides Cyrus, everything, again, was more cheerful. Gen 5 brought a darker storyline, along with some creepier tales that allowed them to be made into creepypastas. Gen 1 and 2 will always have Red, and Gold often is seen as a victim. (I mean seriously, even in the hack I'm making, Gold dies, but shhhhhh thats spoiler. :P )

Mmm, yeah, I would like to see some 3rd/4th gen creepypastas. I mean, 3rd Gen did introduce Banette, which IMO has one of the most interesting Pokedex entries I've ever seen (a Pokemon that used to be an old doll, and haunts the one who abandoned it). And 4th gen has the Old Chateau, which has a really creepy vibe to it (and the music still gives me the chills). 4th Gen also has Giratina and the Distortion World, which I feel was pretty dark, especially in Platnium.
It's just a shame that the 4th gen games didn't do more with the Old Chateau.

Gen 5 has that weird girl on Marvelous Bridge that disappears as you approach her. For a long while I didn't know what was up with her or why she disappears (until I remembered that an old lady tells you that a girl and her Abra used to live in the area long ago).
But I've been playing White 2, and I visited that Strange House near Lentimas Town. Not nearly as dark or creepy as the Old Chateau, which is a shame. It does give a bit more insight into that ghost girl though.

As for the new topic, no I've never believed a creepypasta. But the Lavender Town music one came fairly close. If I had heard the original Lavender Town music when I was younger I might have believed the creepy pasta.

Zayphora October 17th, 2012 5:04 PM

Huh, so the Strange House has something to do with the Disappearing Girl? I thought it had to do with Darkrai. That's interesting. But remember, guys, SPOILERTAGS

Psystar63 October 19th, 2012 2:26 AM

Woops. Yeah, I need to be more considerate of people and spoilers :P Especially with B2W2.

On the topic of 5th Gen, are there any really good 5th gen creepypastas out there? Cause I haven't seen much.

Olli October 19th, 2012 6:35 AM

All 5th gen creepypasta's I've read haven't been that good, at least not anywhere near the level of creepypastas like the Laver Town ones and Snow on Mt. Silver. Although to say, I've still yet to find a good one for any of the other two generations as well, so 5th gen is not alone.

There was also a creepypasta competition here on PC back in the GT of 2010 I think, so we have a lot of creepypastas made from the members on here. First part of the thread is just a collection of creepypastas they've found, but around the later pages the creepypastas should all be gathered together in one post ^^

I saw Zayphora's comment on my latest story, Missing, where he mentioned a Lavender Town Club, and I was like "WHAAAAAAAAT?! THERE'S A LAVENDER TOWN CLUB?! WHY HAVE I NOT HEARD OF THIS BEFORE?! So here I am.

Name: SeekerOfDarkness (A.k.a. Seeker, Ansem, w/e)

What's you favorite creepy topic: I like the stuff that happens in game, with some mysterious backstory behind it.
Do you have a favorite character from a creepypasta?: Red, from "Glitchy Red". Also my favorite Creepypasta.

Anywho, I've never seen a good 5th Gen creepypasta. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen a 5th Gen Creepypasta at all. Hm. Wonder why. Other than the girl at marvelous bridge, there's nothing too creepy in BW at all. (I don't have B2W2 yet, so idk about those games). Even the Pokemon Tower replacement (I forget what they called it) wasn't creepy at all, despite being a grave site for Pokemon. If you ask me, though, the best Creepypastas come from the first 2 gens. There's just so much someone can do with those games. I just don't think there's enough strangeness to use in succeeding gens for a good creepypasta. (Course, i shouldn't say that, as I have plans for a story about the old lady at Snowpoint.)

Drgons90 October 19th, 2012 11:09 AM

Welcome, Seekerofdarkness.

I believe in lavender town syndrome, that "missing frequencies with the LEAVE NOW message", and that thing where they say red died and his ghost appears in Mt. silver.

Necrum October 19th, 2012 12:59 PM

After about 2 weeks of watching this thread, I finally caved and decided to join.

Name: NecrumWarrior
Pick a pokemon from the list: Unknown (A)
What's your favorite Pokemon creepy topic?: Theories regarding what could have been, like the Cubone/Kangaskhan Theory.
Do you have a favorite character from a Pokemon Creepypasta?: Ghost from Pokemon Black Version (not 5th gen, the Hack)

I regards to the question of whether or not I have ever believed a Pasta, I'll admit that I actually believe the story of Pokemon Black. It just seems more believable than most Pastas I've read.

It seems to me that 5th gen is probably too new to get any good Pastas, and also it hasn't been hacked quite as much as the older generations, so the likely hood of strange things being added to the game are pretty slim, though I know not all Pastas are about hacks necessarily...

You know, I'd have to disagree with you on that. There may not be any obviously creepy things around the region, in any areas or in the dialogue except for the thing with the girl at Marvelous Bridge, however all you need to do is take a look at the Pokedex entries for certain Pokemon, and you'll stumble upon some creepy or disturbing things, or in the very least, some things that don't really seem like they fit into Pokemon. To be honest, I think the fifth generation brought forth the most of these kind of entries of all the generations. I'll just list the ones I find the most disturbing below.

Litwick

Litwick shines a light that absorbs the life energy of people and Pokémon, which becomes the fuel that it burns.

While shining a light and pretending to be a guide, it leeches off the life force of any who follow it.

Its flame is usually out, but it starts shining when it absorbs life force from people or Pokémon.

Lampent

This ominous Pokémon is feared. Through cities it wanders, searching for the spirits of the fallen.

It arrives near the moment of death and steals spirit from the body.

Chandelure

It absorbs a spirit, which it then burns. By waving the flames on its arms, it puts its foes into a hypnotic trance.

Being consumed in Chandelure's flame burns up the spirit, leaving the body behind.

Yamask

Each of them carries a mask that used to be its face when it was human. Sometimes they look at it and cry.

These Pokémon arose from the spirits of people interred in graves in past ages. Each retains memories of its former life.

These Pokémon arose from the spirits of people interred in graves. Each retains memories of its former life.

Cofagrigus

It has been said that they swallow those who get too close and turn them into mummies. They like to eat gold nuggets.

Grave robbers who mistake them for real coffins and get too close end up trapped inside their bodies.

Heatmor

Using their very hot, flame-covered tongues, they burn through Durant's steel bodies and consume their insides.

There are more, but these were just the ones I felt to be the most dark or unnatural for such bright games as Pokemon to include, and while some from earleir generations may have been worse, this generation sure had the most.

Zayphora October 20th, 2012 4:34 AM

Agreed, Olli97. I also saw this on Memebase. Got some funny creepy Dex illustrations.

I was thinking about this yesterday- Another reason that 1st and 2nd Gen hog all the pasta is that they focus more on the fantasy aspect of Pokemon. 3rd, 4th, and 5th are more sci-fi oriented, what with Team Galactic, Opelucid, Black City, Akuroma, Deoxys...the list goes on. Fantasy seems more easily creepified in general.

By the way, have any of you guys read Door's Open? It's awesome. Very weird but quite interesting. It's based on Strangled Red. But it's got a twist at the end. A very nice one.

Not to say that there aren't ANY good 5th gen pastas out there. N's Rage is a great one. It's a hack-based pasta, but it's excellent. And if I could actually freaking FIND the Kcalb creepypasta, then I bet that would be great.

Oh, welcome, NecrumWarrior and SeekerOfDarkness! Hope you like it here. Seeker's pasta is really good, guys. You should read it.

I think I gotta disagree with you there. Gen 1 had HEAVY sci-fi influence. So much of it was inspired by the theme of science, including genetic experimentation, the creation of a digital Pokemon, cloning etc. The fantasy elements are really much more prevalent in Gen 2 when the game took on a theme of traditionalism and folklore/legends.

I think it's just the fact that old games, no matter how up beat, are always a little bit creepy due to their lower quality. Plus there were so many more bugs and glitches back then and a fair degree of unknown since the game was in development for so long.

Actually, this is true. I hadn't thought of Pokedex entries. Just to add one of my personal favorites to the list:

Duskull - If it finds bad children who won't listen to their parents, it will spirit them away--or so it's said. It loves the crying of children.

Oh yes this, the Pokemon games, despite being targetted at a younger audience, really can get quite creepy at times. So since we've already narrowed ourselves in on this, I guess this would make a good topic?

Which is your favourite creepy Pokedex entry? Which Pokedex entry do you find the creepiest?

As for me, I'd say Kadabra's Pokedex entry for Firered.

It happened one morning - a boy with extrasensory powers awoke in bed transformed into Kadabra.

It isn't my favourite for being significantly creepy or very well thought out, but more because it's just so weird and raises so many questions. Like, why was the boy transformed into a Kadabra rather than an Abra or Alakazam? Why suddenly go into the middle of an evolutionary line? Was the boy an Abra that evolved? whatwhatwhat. It just makes no sense, and GAH.

Zayphora October 21st, 2012 4:15 PM

Mine? Mew, the mythical Pokemon--- from SOUTH AMERICA. What what what WHAT? This makes me think the Mutant Future pasta is actually what GAME FREAK had in mind. I love stuff like that.

Zayphora October 25th, 2012 3:27 AM

Alright, no one's biting. New question time!!

...Strangled Red? Have you read it? What'd you think of it?

Synerjee October 25th, 2012 5:33 AM

I've heard of other creepy/weird Pokedex entries. Here are some:

This is one of the creepy entries of pokemon that like hurting children.
Duskull: "It loves the crying of children. It startles bad kids by passing through walls and making them cry." (Platinum)
It loves the Crying of Children. Come on, why would they put so much hate on children in a children's video game? O.O There are more such as Drifloon and Hypno (child kidnappers) and Banette, perhaps you could check them out if you want.

This one is about a pokemon mourning over its own Death.
Yamask: "Each of them carries a mask that used to be its face when it was human. Sometimes they look at it and cry." (Black) D:

There's also
Gorebyss (an enourmous swimming mosquito),
Shedninja (steals your spirit when you peer into the hole in its back (which you do EVERY time you send it out into battle)),
Cacturne (follows people at night and waits for them to tire out. why? what will they do to those people? kill them?? eat them??)

Olli October 25th, 2012 5:54 AM

Zayphora, just a reminder, you can't double post as a owner untill the club has been inactive for at least a month, but I'm gonna let it slide for now.

As for your question, I do recall reading it, but I can hardly even remember what it was like. If it was the one about your rival, with the hidden room in the back of the Viridian gym, taking place during the time of GSC, then sure, I remember it, but gonna read through it shortly, so that I can answer properly. Now, the title did remind me of another creepypasta called "Axe, Candle, Rope". I'm guessing the idea for it came off the surfboard item, which appears to originally have been a replacement for the HM move, where the author probably thought up other items for this.

Spoiler:
Basically the axe was supposed to be an earlier version of Cut, the candle was supposed to be an earlier version of Flash, and the rope was just the Escape rope, which should've been replaced by Dig, but apparently didn't. Initially they all had the same function as their current counterparts, however a bit into the development, the programmers apparently edited the effects of the items a bit, which led to some really morbid jokes. Using the axe on NPC's would trigger a high-pitched screaming effect which was all that the original Gameboy could handle, flash a dark screen for a second, and then return to normal, however the NPC would be gone, and what would resemble a dark puddle in its place.
The candle, if used in a building, would trigger the smoke screen animation, which would go all around the building, whereafter a message would tell the player to leave the building, in which it isn't informed what would happen if they didn't. That aside, once the player exited the building, the OW of the building would be completely black, and the player would be unable to enter the building.
The escape rope, which people can probably guess, would show the player hang himself, if the item was used in front of a doorway. One of the beta testers, who were the victims of these cruel jokes apparently left the team after discovering this, because they thought it was just too far, where in which case they all seem pretty much too far in this case.

Anyways, the items were all removed for the final game and replaced with their HM counterpart of course, but the programmers found them very hard to completely delete from the code, so instead they made the "extra functions" inacessible, and hid them somewhere else in the code. Hacker apparently found these bits of code years later, with two tragic incidents following these discoveries. Apparently a girl had brought an axe to school, and murdered her fellow classmates with it, only to be locked somewhere secure afterwards. Another incident was of a man burning down his office building, just to be the only survivor, and where, following an investigation, there was a burned cartridge found in his house. None of the incidents were confirmed to be a cause of the games, but it was assumed so by the narrator, since they were both hackers (dunno where he got that from), and both owned the Pokemon games, in which these things were hidden in the code.

It was never heard of anything regarding the rope in the story by the narrator though, however he ends it off with a line saying "my escape rope is waiting", so it can only be assumed that he was the third victim of these items.

Welcome NecrumWarrior.

I just read Strangled Red, it's so damn creepy. Like goosebumps every 10 seconds! How can such simple games be turned to creepy stuff?

We had a similar topic back in the Haunted House Club. Yamask's and Cofagrigus' entries were just so interesting and creepy and the same time. Cofagrigus' was more creepy, just because the thought of going near one and being turned into a mummy creeps me out. But I was so interested in Yamask's because of the fact that it says they were once human. What happened to them in order for them to become Pokemon? Considering that Yamask is a Ghost-type, I'd say that something involving death happened. But who knows...

I've never seen that entry for Kadabra before. But that is interesting, and it does raise lots of questions. It doesn't really sound like a pokedex entry, does it? Kinda presents a premise for a creepypasta in my opinion.

I don't know why I like Strangled Red so much. It's just so interesting, and I really like the story. It's a tragedy that takes a really creepy end, which I like :P
I have been wanting to play a ROM version of Strangled Red for ages now!

Zayphora October 25th, 2012 3:58 PM

Alright, up and running again! Just thought I'd remind you guys, PLEASE join before posting your opinion!! Otherwise it's spam. Like, seriously.

I personally loved Strangled Red. The new character of Steven($!3V3N) is very interesting. And I personally sort of use the Door's Open fic as my headcanon in this situation. Meaning I believe that
Spoiler:
Strangled Red is the predecessor to the mysterious events of Lost Silver...0.o actually, I think Red and Ghost killed Gold after Lyra beat Red, and Gold came back to haunt Red...sortof...

Spoiler:
Also, my favorite line from Strangled Red is-
Quote:

Steven-
In a world that's cheated me...
Why should I play fair?

It's right before Steven takes the Missingno item. It just...captures the insanity and determination of Steven/$!3V3N to get Miki back. I just loved it in general. Personally, I don't think that the author needed the whole strangling thing. It's just unnecessary. It's creepy enough without it. It should be called something else because the strangling thing isnt the main part of the story.

I have an idea, we should make our own creepypasta, and maybe fill this thread with it. Anyone agrees with the idea?

Olli October 26th, 2012 12:42 PM

It's a good idea, but I don't think it should be the main focus. I like the discussion of very creepypastas and rumours and such, which I honestly think is the best to bring discussion in here, but if you guys write your own creepypastas and such, I would be all for you posting them here for others to enjoy and possibly critique. It's a thing I actually did expect to come from this club when it was made, and something I'd still want to see, but alas, not the main focus. One thing though, if the owner wants to, a creepy pasta writing event could possibly be arranged. People would probably be more likely to actually get around to writing creepy pastas, if they have something to get out of it, and with events, an emblem is already designed for such stuff.

But yeah, I'd love to see some creepypastas in here, just remember to stay to the other topics too.

Necrum October 26th, 2012 2:35 PM

I think it would be fun to do some CreepyPasta writing for Halloween, but I don't think it should be a regular thing to post Pastas directly on this thread, since this is mostly a place to discuss. If we did a Halloween Pasta contest, the Pastas in question should be housed in Spoiler tags to prevent crowding. Thoughts?

Zayphora October 26th, 2012 5:27 PM

OMG, you guys read my mind! So, as you guys seem to want to do this, I'm just going to set it up!!!

Quote:

Welcome to Lavender Town's first Halloween Creepypasta Contest! (Well, actually you don't really win anything so it's just a writing groupy thing.

Be creative...blah blah blah. This is for FUN, so don't get super competitive or anything!!

The contest will end on NOVEMBER 5TH. After that, no more pastas can be posted and they have to go in Fanfics instead!! On November 6th, anyone who wants to vote on the best submission should PM me with their choice. I'll tally it up, and announce the winner the next day! Maybe I can even get someone to make them an emblem.

So when you post your pasta, put it in a spoiler like NecrumWarrior suggested, to save space. Make sure it has a title, so we can vote on it!

HAVE FUN!!!!

Drgons90 October 27th, 2012 6:47 AM

I'll start then....

Banette's Curse

Spoiler:
There are a lot of creepypasta that involves an old abandoned cartridge suddenly turning into something like a cursed game. Why? Who'd be behind this? Curiously, I began searching for details. It took me some days, but I finally formed my theories. Here they are:

1) It is a hacker's doing.
2) The game itself is cursed.
3) It could be a Banette's doing.

1st one could make sense, but why would they do that? They don't earn money. As for the 2nd, it is quite silly of me to think of it, but I believe in witches and stuff. What bothers me the most is The 3rd. It makes a lot of sense. Banettes are abandoned dolls who seek revenge from their owner. However, it's a cartridge, and pokemons are just fictional(or are they?

I researched further(which I regret) and tried to know the cause of these madness. As I know more, my 3rd theory is starting to make more sense. It could really be a Banette's doing! Believing that, I started searching for old cartridges, and luckily I found an old Pokemon Sapphire, Emerald, and Platinum. Excited, I played Platinum first. No. Broken. I kept it in a junk box. I tried Emerald next. No save file, I clicked New Game. It was normal, I got a Mudkip, and went on my way to Petalburg city. I saved upon arrival and put it on my desk.

Next is Sapphire. It had a continue option. But it's kinda glitched, no time, no money, and the name is glitched(just a black bar). Jackpot, i said to myself. I clicked continue, and it's a complete glitchfest. The Pokemon Center theme quietly plays as I walk around in what would seem to be Dewford hit by a tornado. I checked my Pokemons, and I was greeted by a weird collection of Pokemon.

3 Missigno, with the same glitched name as the character. A Yanma named Ou, a Wailmer named Ill, and Dusclops named Ie. What the hell is with the names? I exited. I wanted to get out of this glitch town, so I tried to use surf, and luckily Wailmer has. But when Wailmer appeared, it showed a picture which gave me goosebumps. Glitch. Red and black dots, and then a message appeared. "GO BACK TO YOUR POKEMONS". I checked them, and it was the same. Except for something. I finally noticed it.

If you take the first letter of all pokemons that are not missigno, and then attach it to their names, it reads: YOU WILL DIE. I tried to turn off my Gameboy, but it doesn't work. I hurried for my screwdriver, opened up the place where the battery is, and took it out. It's still working! Why? I looked back on the screen, and it says "OVER SO SOON?", then a Yes or No appeared. I didn't know what I pressed out of fear, but I must've pressed no and now it says "I SEE. YOU HAD THE BRAVERY AT FIRST AND I HOPE YOU ARE ABLE TO MAINTAIN IT NOW, HEHEHE"

Finally. It turned off. I took out sapphire and broke it. I threw it in a fire, gathered its ashes and threw again in a river. As soon as I got home, I was greeted by the worst.

Everything was a mess. Overturned table, bed that seemed to be ripped out by a hungry tiger, broken cabinet with its contents lying about, but I found only 1 thing that is not a mess. Pokemon Emerald. It had a note beside it. "PLAY ME". I tried to steel myself for what I'll see, insert the cartridge in my gameboy sp, and played.....

The lavender town theme was playing, and my character is slightly glitched(I don't remember him having black dot in the chest), and I'm walking in the dark. I pressed start, and there were only these options:

GIVE UP
AAAA
POKEMON
DIE

The first and last options don't look good, so I checked my pokemon first. All missignos with all of their names glitched. I checked their moves, but it was only Curse. Nothing else. I checked AAAA and it showed my trainer card. Money was 0, play time is glitched, badges are complete but stained with blood. I saw my character. It was horrible. I can hardly describe him in words. His hair was black, his eyes are something like desperate, and his face is almost covered with blood. I exited upon seeing, and a message appeared.

"ENJOYED BRENDAN? YOU'LL LOOK MUCH WORSE WHEN I'M THROUGH WITH YOU."

I felt sick upon seeing that. Nonetheless, I must continue. Another message appeared. "STILL WANT MORE? I CAN END IT ALL QUICKLY, YOU KNOW." And a Yes or No appeared. I selected Yes, fearing my life might end. "VERY CLEVER. YOU ARE THE FIRST TO STOMACH DOWN MY... GAMES." The tune turned into something worse than lavender town's music. I believe it's the beta version playing. Another message appeared. "I TORTURED YOUR POKEMON. NOW THEY HATE YOU." What was that all about? I checked my pokemons, and it's all missigno, but each of them at 1 HP. I tried selecting one, but all it says is "close". I exited, and a message pops up. "LET'S KILL THEM." And i entered a battle.

It was me VS Banette. I knew it, he finally showed himself. "HAPPY TO SEE ME? I'LL MAKE IT WORTH YOUR TIME." Banette wiped all my pokemons with shadow ball. When my last pokemon fainted, my character appeared. "HAD ENOUGH?" And a Yes or No appeared. I clicked Yes. "I SEE. HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT BANETTE'S CURSE?", and I clicked No. "YOU'LL LEARN IT."

I began to feel dizzy. My vision was blurring. I tried to look at my gameboy, and it said Banette used Curse! Before I completely lost my consciousness, I saw Banette.

I woke up, and realized I was unconscious for 2 days. I was in a hospital. No one, except the nurse who just entered, was there. "Sir, someone wanted to give this letter to you." And she handed me a paper that seems to be old. I read it.

HAD ENOUGH?

Done, and it's horrible.

Freddy Fazbear October 28th, 2012 12:09 PM

Hey, you know I'm gonna join this. Just gotta think of some characters... alright got it. Best keep the lights on as you read this XD just kidding this is gonna suck. I'll call it...

My Home
Spoiler:
Just keep walking. You'll make it there eventually. Don't stop. Just keep going. On and on, through the snow, climbing higher and higher. Just a little more. Just a little higher.

I couldn't even feel the cold bite away at my skin, at my eyes, anymore. I barely even noticed the deafening silence as I trudged on through the thick snow. I've been here before. Once before. I can't say I enjoyed it last time, but here I was again. To finish what I started. To clean up my dark red mess. To clear the snow on Mt. Silver.

I didn't really remember the last time I was here too well. I just knew I've been here, up on this peak, and that something terrible happened here. Something horrifying. Something I still dream about, only to wake up screaming. Something...

With each step the snow grew darker, redder. Like something died here. Did something die here? Did he die here? Did his pokemon die here? Did we all die here? Yes, I'm sure of it: someone --or something-- died here. A long time ago. Too long ago. It was too late.

I didn't even react when I saw the bodies. A Meganium, a Pidgeot, and what once was a young boy in a gold hat. Dead. All dead. Did I do this? Yes, I must have. This is what my nightmares were like, this is why I scream in the darkness. This is why I destroyed that blasted pokemon... the pokemon that drove me to this... I can't even say its name. I won't say it. I hate it. I'm glad it's gone. To destroy my fears, that malicious and insane grin, coupled with that decaying yellow body. It killed me inside. It made me into a ghost. The ghost on Mt. Silver.

I walked up to the rock I used to sit on. It, too, was covered in blood; this time, it was my blood. Dried up and blackened, it was as if it had always been there. I sat down, like I used to, my hat pulled down over my eyes so I couldn't see the world I destroyed. The world I killed -- no, that it killed. It did this, not me. It possessed me... Yes, that was it. It made me do it. It took over my dear Pikachu, made me destroy everything I saw around me.

It was GHOST.

It banished me to this place. It forced me to come here, twice now. GHOST. I knew it still existed. It had to. It wouldn't be destroyed so easily. Having already sucked out the lives of hundreds of pokemon and people, it would be strong. Stronger than I am, at least. And it was still out there. It was probably after me.

And it knew where to find me.

I sat there on Mt. Silver for what seemed like days, months, years. A lifetime spent sitting on Mt. Silver, with all the bodies and the blood and the snow. Always the snow. Once, there was no snow on Mt. Silver. Once, this mountain was green, and pokemon could live happily here. Even Moltres used to come here on occasion, spreading its warmth to all living thigs here. But then GHOST came. It came to me. And I killed with it. I killed so many people, so many pokemon. And it had used me, made me stronger. It even disguised itself once, possessing my beloved Pikachu and turning it into a demon with dead eyes and a grin so wide and unnatural, so purely evil, even I was afraid, even I was destroyed. And when the boy came, with his pokemon to the summit of Mt. Silver, when he found me sitting on this rock with hat pulled over my eyes so I couldn't see the havoc and sadness I caused, GHOST killed him.

So now I sit here on Mt. Silver, the last place I can call home, hoping that someday, GHOST will find me, so that this endless nightmare will end.

Muhaha well there ya go. Sorry it's so short.

Zayphora October 28th, 2012 4:08 PM

Alright, I know it's weird that I'm entering my own contest, but as it's a voting thing it's okay, right?

Anyway, here's my (oddly short) pasta-

~In Pursuit of Happiness~
Spoiler:

I had the urge to walk in the woods one day. It was just an ordinary day, blue-skied and fresh-aired, the Pidoves chirping quietly in the bushes. In all, a lovely day for a walk.

I'm not sure what prompted me to do it, but I just got up, opened the door, and left Accumula Town's city limits. I silently walked through the woods and along the path, into a clearing.

I had no intention of doing it, but I think that even if I hadn't particularly wanted to take a walk that day, I wouldn't have been able to stop myself. There was a particular sense in me, a sense that something wonderful would happen if I walked into the woods, and that thing, however vague, was the only thing I wanted.

I stood at the corner of the path, looking into the trees. I didn't have the slightest idea why, but I knew that if I waited long enough, that something wonderful would happen. The Pidoves continued chirping in the bushes, the clouds high above blew by, and night fell and rose again, uncounted times, and yet I stood, stiff, staring out across the path, my eyes focused on a tree and my mind focused solely on one thing- the truly remarkable thing that my intuition told me was yet to come.

I do not know how much time passed since when I first walked into the forest, but the only thing that mattered was one day when I was overcome with a strange premonition.

Someone is coming.

It was someone important, I could sense it, someone who would help me in my pursuit of happiness. I stood at attention, staring intently ahead.

Someone walked by.

It was a boy, about sixteen years old, with brown hair, wearing a blue hat and jacket, his hand clutching a large blue bag. As soon as I saw him, I was immediatly sure that everything was in perfect balance. I had never seen this child before, but I could instantly tell of his importance. Joy filled my mind as I stepped forward.

I said something. I'm not sure what it was, but it must have been an expression of my pure satisfaction at the boy's presence. He, I was sure, was what would fill my empty longing for fulfillment. I reached into my pocket, pulled out two round objects I didn't recall ever putting there, and threw one out.

The boy reached for his belt, and threw his own round ball out. From mine emerged a little mouse, chittering happily. I was almost comatose, not fully aware of my own motions, wishing only that these moments would continue on eternally. I was in a state so seemingly perfect, I could not tell if I had died and gone to some sort of heaven.

I was only faintly aware of the huge otter-like creature commanded by the boy. I was floating on a cloud, feeling only peace. Words, commands formed in the back of my mind, and I said them aloud, the chittering mouse following them. The battle passed quickly; the wonderful boy was much, much stronger than me. Without really feeling the motion, I handed him some money, saying something else I can't recall. I then watched him walk away, feeling only joy as he left my line of sight.

I had no other ideas but to stay in my spot, focusing on the tree across the path. What would I do, anyway?

My true purpose in life had been served.

~just a note, the narrator is NOT on drugs. I know some troll will still say that.

Necrum October 29th, 2012 4:26 PM

Absolutely inspired Zayphora! I never really thought about that kind of thing before, but I suppose that is one very interesting take on NPCs. I had an idea that's similar, though different enough to not be seen as copying you, which it shouldn't anyway since I thought of it before you posted your story. I'll get to writing soon, maybe...

Zayphora October 29th, 2012 5:41 PM

Thanks! Lol, that's not the only weird thing I think about NPC's. If you read my fanfic, I have a whole different take on it. But, yeah... I just have always thought they were kind of funny, saying the same thing all the time, staring blankly ahead...and then I started wondering, in a realistic setting, what the heck would the explanation for that be? This idea has been floating around in my brain for a while, and I thought I'd write it up. :D

Also, just forget about that prompt xD I'm going to use it for something else.

Drgons90 October 31st, 2012 12:04 AM

Right now my vote goes to SeekerofDarkness(unless a new and an even scarier one comes). I guess it's about Red on Mt. Silver right(correct me if I am wrong)? Btw, honestly, I really thought that the narrator was kinda drunk or on drugs, but the author himself says he's not :P so I guess I can believe it.

Anymore? I can't wait to see what is in everyone's mind!

Thank you! Mine entry is indeed about Red from Snow on Mt. Silver, but with GHOST from Creepy Black as the driving force and primary antagonist.

I must admit, I have yet to read any fics yet but my own, unfortunately. However, I do look forward to reading all entries submitted!

Zayphora November 3rd, 2012 12:37 PM

I guess I should post my opinion...

Well, Drgons, I think yours is a very cool premise, but I think it needs fleshed out a little more. Yes, the more I think about it, Bannetes do fit in very well with the world of AbandonPasta, as I like to call it, but I think you could have gone into more detail about how exactly a Bannete got into our world. Funny, your pasta reminded me of this other pasta that I've seen, called "The Bannete Killer" in which Looker gets murdered by a Banette...lol.

Yeah, I would most likely vote for Seeker. I really have a thing about Creepy Black, and it fits in nicely with my own canon for my fanfic. (Make what spoiler out of that you will.). Also, very well written. :D
*just noticed* Is the demonic Pikachu described in your pasta the one from "Snow on Mount Silver?" it certainly sounds like it.

Necrum November 3rd, 2012 5:14 PM

Red's Tragedy
Spoiler:
Perhaps it was all leading up to this...

It all started three years ago. I was so full of hope. So pure, so innocent. But nothing stays the same for long. Prof. Oak gave me the tools I needed to explore. And as I did, my world expanded far beyond that small town they call Pallet. My mom said something to me before I left, but I can't remember what it was. How long has it been since I saw her...

My journey was simple at first. I met wondrous new creatures, and visited great cities. I challenged the strongest trainers and braved the darkest caves. But then, I met Team Rocket. They were an interesting bunch to say the least. At first, they were nothing more than petty thieves, taking whatever they could. But as I traveled, it became clear that their cruelty knew no bounds...

All evidence of purity was lost the day I entered Pokemon Tower in Lavender Town. A grave revelation had become clear to me. I had killed. Blue was my childhood rival. We met on the S.S. Anne during our journeys. And in our struggle to prove who is the strongest, a life was taken. When I found him in Pokemon Tower, he was grieving. I felt so bad, but I had to continue. As I reached the top floor, it was revealed to me that Team Rocket, in their haste to earn money, had slain a Marowack. Was I any better than them...?

I pressed on, despite my new found knowledge. I became among the strongest in the region. And when it came time, I proved myself stronger than Team Rocket. The rest went by so quickly. The Elite Four were no match for me. With every victory, I took another step closer to being the best...

Blue was waiting for me. He said I had become corrupt. That I was no longer a trainer. He said I was just like Giovanni. I tried to ignore his words as our final battle commenced, but his words pierced through the veil, filling me with anger. In the end, Blue lost the battle. And in his loss, I had gained the favor of his grandfather, the very same man who had helped me start my journey. Prof. Oak...

Perhaps it was all leading up to this. I stand at the edge of Mount Silver, looking down at the boundless white snow. A boy, only a few year younger than me at my rear. When he approached me, I was surprised. No one had been here since I arrived. I said nothing to him as we battled. I had never felt that level of fear before. Is that what Blue felt that day on the S.S. Anne? I have never lost a single battle, until now...

Perhaps this is what Prof. Oak intended all along, when he sent me to this place. There's nothing left for me down there. The snow looks so nice. It's a shame. This is goodbye I suppose. I wish this boy the best. There is only one way off this mountain...

Perhaps it was all leading up to this...

I feel very depressed now. Not sure this came out the way I hoped, but oh well. Not really scary, but then again, scaring isn't the only thing a creepypasta is meant to do. I was going for something unnerving and sad. Hope you like!

OMG. THAT WAS...beautiful! <3 I love dat ending. ASDFGHJKL HE COMMITTED SUICIDE WHAAAAAAAAAT?!? PLOT FREAKING TWIST!!!!!

Lol, sorry, I'm currently full of sugar xD lol :D don't get me wrong, that was seriously creepy...and sad. I thought Loss of Purpose was sad. God, you should post that somewhere. The world needs to see that. ASDFGHJKL YOU JUST FREAKING MADE IT HARD FOR ME TO DECIDE WHO TO VOTE FOR

Necrum November 4th, 2012 4:42 AM

Thanks. I'm always really critical of my own writing, and yet everyone seems to like everything I write. I'm always pleasantly surprized.

Yeah, you don't actually see Red leave, so I figured, maybe he jumped. Though B2W2 would contradict this...

*just noticed* Is the demonic Pikachu described in your pasta the one from "Snow on Mount Silver?" it certainly sounds like it.

Thanks! For the record, yes, the demonic Pikachu is indeed the one from Snow on Mount Silver. I just added a twist onto the reason it was so demonic. As I have said before, mine was a combination of Creepy Black and Snow on Mount Silver, two of my personal favorite Creepypastas.

Anywho, i read all existing pastas just now. To lavender town music. I'll give you guys a brief review of those that aren't mine:

Spoiler:
@Drgons90: I thought yours was the creepiest overall. I don't know if your grammar was shaky intentionally, but it worked with the style you were going with. I personally never though about a Banette doing all the haunting in those creepy little cartridges, honestly. Well played, well played.

@Zayphora: I was slightly surprised to see a 5th gen pasta, actually, but I like what you did with it. I love that the whole thing is about those trainers that just stand there endlessly on the routes, never leaving after you defeat them once, and since there's no Vs seeker in the 5th gen, they just remain there uselessly forever. I don't think it was as creepy as the others, but it was definitly a good story.

@NecrumWarrior: I love your rendition on the story of Red. It's like the ramblings of a dying man, regretful for everything he's done, the monster he's become. I especially like how you have it so that Prof. Oak sends Red to Mt. Silver, because he's too powerful. Very eerie, very sad, very well done.

Well, now that that's out of the way, I'm going to say that for now my vote goes out to Zayphora, for just having a really good story. Now if you'll all excuse me, I'm going to go sit in a corner and rock back and forth out of fear.

Zayphora November 4th, 2012 6:48 PM

^Wow, with lavender town in the background too? Wow. That's brave of you.

Also, welcome Urugamosu-ASDFGHJKL ANOTHER KCALB FAN YAAAAAAAAY!!! *cough* Excuse me. XD

Anyway, thanks, Seeker. :D I really didn't start out to write a 5th gen pasta, as there are creepy NPC's in all the gens, but yeah. I like 5th gen stuff, because it hasn't existed for as long so all the good ideas aren't already taken.

Also, you know what really annoys me? LAME REVENGE-PASTA.
I mean, the story has been done so many times. Kid has a favorite Pokemon in the game, but he accidentally deletes it/loses his game/forgets about it and one day, he gets a new game and finds his old pokemon on that game, at which point Lavender Town Theme plays, the Pokemon addresses the kid by his real name, kills his character, and leaves a mark (I.e. a handprint, blood, note, etc.) in the real world. I see so many of them it's not even funny. :P

And on a completely unrelated topic, I find it ironic that BW2 has a location known as "Reversal Mountain". And it's a continuation of BW....well let's just say I'm on the lookout for anything...strangely colored in there. :P AHAHAHAHAHAHA
