2012 Survivor's Party @ Drakow's House

Well, it is!

Also, someone put the DCC thingy in the title, since I have no idea how!

Also, I talk too much! K bye~

rules

• Try to go with the current topic! This isn't a thread where you just randomly post anything. Whatever others are talking about is what you should be talking about - let the topic make its own way rather than changing it randomly.
• This is not a welcome thread! We're happy for new users to contribute here, but if you want to post an intro thread, here is New Users / Welcome.
• Keep section-specific discussions to their own sections! Light chat about stuff which belongs elsewhere is ok, but don't go into a huge discussion about competitive battling, Pokémon Anime, etc. when they have their own sections elsewhere on PC.
• Keep up! Don't ask what the topic is. Look back over a page or two and figure it out for yourself.
• Don't flame, troll, or harass. This is a light-hearted thread but it still follows all PC rules.

_Dean_ September 22nd, 2012 4:43 PM

wait is this allowed...? XD;;

Thomas September 22nd, 2012 4:46 PM

omg. the randomness is back. I almost had a severe anxiety attack.

You referring to the thread, or the use of the word "crap"? Cause I was iffy on the latter. D;

Hah, ryhmes.

No, no. The thread. I didn't know if any user could make it or if it had to be a mod. I haven't been on a message board in years. -.-

Oh, well, I'm fairly certain it can be any person. I did take precaution anyways, though, and asked Razor Leaf if I could.

_Dean_ September 22nd, 2012 5:06 PM

Right on haha. So I deleted my facebook recently. Which is why I'm back on PC. :P I needed another social outlet.

Anybody else recently (or ever, I guess) delete their facebook? If so, why?

Oh boy, here we go.

I deleted my old account a while ago for two reasons.

One: mom was being a pain and at the time such media outlets were taboo in my house. I still had one anyway, since I'm a rebel like that, and she found a couple of times. The first two or three times, she told me to deactivate, which I did, only to reuse it literally within a couple of hours. Eventually, when she found out a fourth time, she got really pissed. I decided it wasn't worth it, so I wrote some random numbers on a piece of paper, and changed my password to that. Afterwards, I ripped the paper into pieces and threw it out, and then signed off. Like a dumbass, though, I forgot to deactivate it, so it still exists actually. In fact, it's a hacked account now, yippee.

Two: Creepy stalker girl who confessed undying love would NOT LEAVE ME ALONE.

I have another one now though, with my parents' okay. =D

I'm not afraid to say that I'm addicted to my social media accounts. But when I find myself getting too out of hand or checking them too much. I usually go dark for a week or two. I deactivate everything and take the apps off my phone and my bookmark list. Then after two weeks I feel refreshed and cleansed of the evil technology. XD

_Dean_ September 22nd, 2012 5:26 PM

@Bloodex: Ouch man, that sucks about the family. I feel you on the crazy stalker girls. -.- Dang weirdos.

@Thomas: That's what I'm sayin'! I was addicted to facebook. Literally got in trouble left and right at work for checking my phone. It became a habit to automatically check facebook when I unlocked my phone. @[email protected] I had to stop. hahaha

I have to say, I'm very at peace with it. I still have twitter, which I'm using a lot more than I was but not nearly as much as facebook. I kinda just use it for my thought output when I'm peeved. >:]

TCB September 22nd, 2012 6:16 PM

Uh.......hi?

I don't usually venture into these parts (hell, I haven't been on this site is small intervals) but I might as well see what other parts of this place has to offer.

Skip Class September 22nd, 2012 6:27 PM

I haven't been on PC much either these past few months (cause of school and my laptop crashing) and I've come back a bit for PCX this week.

As for facebook, quite recently a lot of my friends seem to be deleting their facebooks for some reason. But for myself, I can't say the same. Being school photographer my profile gets stalked a lot cause I chuck pretty much everything that happens up there... deleting my facebook would cause a riot... haha.

droomph September 22nd, 2012 6:34 PM

yay! New DCC!

Um...okay? Well that was sudden

Lately I've actually been instagram crazy. XD I feel like I'm constantly posting picture and then also going back and curating the ones I've taken already.

One a side obsession note...if anyone has instagram they should follow me XD *coughmyusernameisTEC2030soyeahfollowmecough*

droomph September 22nd, 2012 6:36 PM

I used to use Instagram, until I got my phone taken away :c Well then again it was never mine in the first place

I use twitter as a stream of thought, so that should count :3

TCB September 22nd, 2012 6:41 PM

I've been a Twitter guy since....May I believe? Yeah. Also a Skype person as well.

.....I've been addicted to Twitter........

droomph September 22nd, 2012 6:42 PM

ooh skype.

I really don't have much of a drive for it anymore, so that's why I've volunteered for the event! Get someone to actually talk to, you know

Skip Class September 22nd, 2012 6:45 PM

I love skype! I remember back at last years get2gether I was way to shy to talk much haha. But I love both twitter and instagram too :D

I never deleted my Facebook page, it's still standing (and in need of a facelift!).

I try to check my notifications on Facebook but PC and Twitter distract me too much.

droomph September 22nd, 2012 7:00 PM

I deleted my fb page for a couple months because people were really mean.

I think they got the point, or maybe I just backed off of the really stupid people's conversations lol.

droomph September 22nd, 2012 7:09 PM

aw don't worry! We don't bite! :3

Lol I did the same thing to everything too. I've found that just talking to people isn't that painful anymore, here and irl.

I wouldn't even dare to post in anything other than Emulation, but now I'm hosting a social event. What are the odds.

Well, I hope to see you around the skype event! Don't back out this time ;)

droomph September 22nd, 2012 7:19 PM

\o/ yay! I'm excited to hear everyone's voice!

I hate mine tbh, so listening to others while I listen to mine should be less awful for me :3

Skip Class September 22nd, 2012 7:21 PM

I remember last year I felt like a creep just listening in the conversations cause I was so scared to talk... now I've gotten used to talking to online peoples on a regular basis.

droomph September 22nd, 2012 7:25 PM

hah lol don't worry I wouldn't want to talk if I wasn't the host :P

and no, you won't be creepy as long as Overlord is still around x]

Hikamaru September 22nd, 2012 7:27 PM

I love looking through my archived VM conversations, it's makes me laugh to still look at them.

But then in recent days, I got a VM notification every few seconds when I was posting something. I mean, everyone must love my profile or something.

Oh Droomph, you made me lol again.

droomph September 22nd, 2012 7:29 PM

Lol yeah I got 6 VMs in five minutes and they were all from one person.

So disappointing :P

Thomas September 22nd, 2012 7:30 PM

I would do that, but I don't VM very often...I might have like 20 pages?

droomph September 22nd, 2012 7:32 PM

THOMAS HAVING ONLY TWENTY PAGES OF VMS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR A WINNINGEST PERSON LIKE YOU.

COME TALK TO ME MASTER

Hikamaru September 22nd, 2012 7:44 PM

MidnightShine and Diab_Low spammed VMs a lot on me.

One time Mid sent so many VMs it took up an entire page.

I don't who sent the most in total to me though.

droomph September 22nd, 2012 7:47 PM

Lol, there should be a cool little statistic bar for that :P

Though Audy is probably doing more important admin things, like eating cake and installing a huge stereo for Steve.

Thomas September 22nd, 2012 8:06 PM

Audy needs to come and install our cool DDC icon and sticky this thing. XD

And with that cool DCC icon it would look even cooler.

But I see Livewire added the DCC tag while we were talking.

Cat parkour or anti-gravity cats.

discuss.

Skip Class September 23rd, 2012 1:54 AM

THAT CAT IS HAXING A mix of both? haha. The cat is adorable and I want it nao :3

Mr Cat Dog September 23rd, 2012 1:57 AM

2 pages in and we're talking about cats? I consider this new DCC a:

http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd448/HannahLynnLove/GIF%20Photos/Success.gif

(All we need is the weather and it's pretty much complete!)

But, to answer the question, anti-gravity cat. No question! Surely you need opposable thumbs to do parkour properly what with all the climbing and grasping and stuff like that? Anti-gravity is the ONLY logical explanation for that picture. Well... that or Photoshop!

Please and thank you :3

That's quite unlucky then, public schools insist on redundant practise. I'm feeling confident about exams why do I need to practise. And it's school holidays so it's eating into my spare time :(

This is the cat I live with, followed by my friend's dog:

Palkia September 23rd, 2012 9:35 AM

I've never had a pet in my life at all, although I know a few people who own a cat.

In fact, two of my realtives used to own a cat, although they went away. (One of them was sold as it was misbehaving and another died of age.)

Thomas September 23rd, 2012 9:53 AM

Owning a pet is a great thing. I've had many pets in my lifetime. Even if it's just a fish or a hermit crab or something it worth getting one!

Shiny Celebi September 23rd, 2012 10:56 AM

I love having pets. They're wonderful, they never get mad at you, etc. My cat looks like Scarf's, a small, brown tabby cat.

Skip Class September 23rd, 2012 12:01 PM

I have the best pets in the world... A TANK OF GOLDFISH HELL YEAH!
My house has always been too small and cramp for a dog and my mum's allergic to any other pet with with fur so I've gone through hundreds of pet fishies throughout my life :pp

droomph September 23rd, 2012 1:05 PM

I used to have a pair of parakeets.

Put the bird in a cage or the fish in a bag and proceed to hug said cage/fish respectively. Problem solved.

Also, rabbits kick and scratch too much.

Rabbits are cute but they're nasty to keep as pets. We had two of them as class pets when I was in school and they smell awful and the cages are horrible to clean.

Kura September 23rd, 2012 2:44 PM

We found a baby rabbit in our garage so we decided to raise it a bit and let it go.

That thing is a poop-machine. It is disgusting >_> I'd only want rabbits as food now.. not as a pet lol. Not even joking.

Ferrets are cute but I've never ventured to grab one as a pet.

Unknown# September 23rd, 2012 5:57 PM

When I was little I wanted a ferret as a pet. Nowadays, I have a mini-beagle that might as well be an overgrown hamster and an overly hyper jack russell terrier. Seriously, I'm sometimes woken up at 3 in the morning just because he wants to play ball.

Treecko September 23rd, 2012 7:18 PM

Sweet new DCC

I wanted a dog as kid, and still want one to this day.

Plumpyfoof September 23rd, 2012 7:37 PM

My mate has a rabbit, it's like 16 years old and has survived 6 months of neglect at least twice when they went on holidays and forgot about it. Poor thing.
Can you say indestructobunny?

Oryx September 23rd, 2012 7:43 PM

Lmao, my cat is useless because it has to be visited and stuff like a dog does when we go away. Supposed to be the good thing about cats, that you don't have to coddle them when you leave :(

TRIFORCE89 September 23rd, 2012 9:17 PM

I had two goldfish. They were unexpected gifts from the same Christmas. Pets were not on my radar. I wanted Donkey Kong Country on the SuperNES. Didn't happen.

Anyway, one fish died by the next morning. The other fish lasted a very long time. Found it dead after coming home from the second Pokemon movie. It got caught it the little plastic tree decoration. Lasted... seven years?

Treecko September 23rd, 2012 9:21 PM

^^^^ I forgot I also had a goldfish. Got from my school's parish picnic when I was in first grade. Though I really don't count it as a pet cause it died the day after I got it. :(

I love watching them swim.
