When I noticed I was automatically subscribed to this thread... I was afraid for my inbox.

Was a prophet really needed to know that it was BS? I kinda figured that out myself. :P

Do not scorn the name of the Prophetess Hikari.

What is even more amusing is that there's actually sufficient amount of inquiries by the American public to NASA about the Mayan doomsday... According to the news, NASA has made some documentary video ready for release on the 22nd about the Mayan doomsday and so on.

Probably to rub it in people's face who believe it will happen.

We already knew that, but I plan on doing more for New Years.

Logiedan December 15th, 2012 11:21 PM

That's more days than I can count..

Mr Cat Dog December 16th, 2012 6:57 AM

To be fair, if you can count up to 9, that's pretty impressive for a 1-year-old.

Ho-Oh December 16th, 2012 7:48 AM

A one-year old shouldn't even be using the Internet. BE GONE.

Correspondence December 16th, 2012 8:01 AM

Come now just because someone is one year old doesn't mean they can't use the internet.

Esper December 16th, 2012 8:50 AM

But it's bad for tiny kids to use things like computers and tablets because of the screens, even if little kids are amazingly adept at using them.

Pinkie-Dawn December 16th, 2012 9:09 AM

It's the 21st century; kids grow up so fast when we have computers and tablets.

Kura December 16th, 2012 9:10 AM

I don't get how these people can afford all these expensive gadgets for these children who are just gonna wreck it. My first gadget was a gameboy pocket and that was a huge deal.. my bro and I had to share it and we weren't allowed to bring it to school. my first cellphone was a cheap blacktextgreenscreen one in highschool and only had like $5 credit on it a month just in case I needed to call my mom after school. I had it for 4 years. I don't even think it had texting capabilities, or very basic ones if it even did.

Actually I think my first gadget was a tomogotchi.. haha.

Esper December 16th, 2012 9:16 AM

I didn't even have a cell phone until college.

Excuse me while I head back to the old folk's home for my nap.

Pinkie-Dawn December 16th, 2012 9:46 AM

I never had a cellphone until my first semester in college. I never wanted a cell phone because of the reports of the raditation it produces that can cause cancer if you catch it by placing your cell phones next to your head. It was even reported to mess with bees' coordinations and ended up killing them.

Cosmotone8 December 16th, 2012 10:32 AM

I still don't have a phone, though I do have an iPad that I share with my brother.

I didn't have one until I was in college either, and even then it wasn't all that great. Though now I has a one of the Galaxy phones and it's my new best friend.

Nakuzami December 16th, 2012 3:16 PM

I got my first phone around twelve . . . and even then everyone in my grade had already had their phones for a year or two. ._. Well, not everyone, but still.
I never really used it, and I still don't use my current one all that often. I use it to call/text my parents, my boyfriend*, and sometimes one of my friends**. I used to text my sister, and sometimes Skymin (lol) but . . . I dunno, I stopped.
*he has a crappy phone that I try not to text often since it uses minutes //pfft
**also my boyfriend's cousin, so I mainly only text him on the weekends when we all hang out on occasion. Otherwise I use Facebook.

Yeah, sure, hate me now. xD

Christmas is coming soon. Just after I end the world, so it'll all work out, don't worry.
I kind of really want to get Soulcalibur V, lol. I rented it from Gamefly a few months ago, and after playing with Link on my bf's Gamecube, I got into the Soulcal mood so I've been playing Soulcalibur IV. I want V though, because that's more versatile. lol
GOTTA START DA FIGHT, SO SEE Y'ALL LATER.

Honest December 16th, 2012 3:19 PM

Ugh, all these little kids getting phones and gadgets. Meanwhile, I can't afford to by a really awesome $10 scarf from H&M. The thing was a thing of beauty... =(

Patrick December 16th, 2012 4:53 PM

Don't remember when I got my first cellphone, don't even care. I'm always behind on the current technology when it comes to phones anyway. By the time I get my first iPhone, Android or whatever, everyone'll have moved on to microchip implants (actually, if they start doing that, I seriously hope people take a stand against it).

I've only just started getting mileage out of the current phone I have ever since I've moved, because the only people I spoke with were my family and neighborhood friends. I saw them daily anyway, so the phone was nigh but an emergency gadget. If I didn't recognize the number, even if I gave it to employers, hiring agents, etc, I never answered. And that's if the phone was even on (most of the time, it wasn't).

I can barely remember my cell phone number, and when people text me, even after I gave them my phone number, I still don't respond thinking "who is this"? So, phone communication + me = bad. Something I'll need to work on, and will probably get accustomed to.

Back in my day, we'd actually communicate with each other face to face blah blah blah social deterioration blah blah blah. Sign me up for the old folks home as well.

Ultraviolence December 16th, 2012 4:57 PM

My first phone was one of these little beauties.

Basically in the range of those third ones there.. Haha

Ultraviolence December 16th, 2012 5:19 PM

Haha, I've never ever seen an older phone like that in person. I'm too young I suppose.

Kura December 16th, 2012 5:23 PM

Yeah I need to set up accounts to post directly to image hosting websites.. it'd be handy! I don't like when the phone doesn't close my apps and stuff though! Advanced Task Killer seems to help but sometimes they all pop up because once you log into gmail it decides to log into your google account for everything else and is mega annoying!

Or maybe I'm just n00b

Her December 16th, 2012 6:14 PM

God bless Nokia....truly indestructible....planes should be made out of Nokia phones....
