You only get one sticker for saving the kid (i thought you would get 2 because you save him twice). :(

Can I get a more detailed guide to the sticker quests? I don't know what you mean.

Why did they make Corey so impossible? That crobat is the bane of my existence!
The team I have right now is:
Sleeper/ LV 30 Kadabra with the moves Psybeam, Confusion, Reflect, and Miracle Eye.
Flare/ LV 28 Growlithe with the moves Odor Sleuth, Fire Fang, Flame Burst, and Reversal.
Spike/ LV 28 Whirlipede with the moves Poison Tail, Bug Bite, Venoshock, and Iron Defense.
Gaurain/ LV 28 Kirlia with the moves Magical Leaf, Confusion, Charge Beam, and Teleport.
Ninja/ LV 29 Dewott with the moves Cut, Razor Shell, Water Pulse, and Fury Cutter.
and Feather/ LV 29 Tranquill with the moves Detect, Air Cutter, Roost, and Quick Attack. Some advice would be appreciated.

AmethystRain September 3rd, 2013 11:22 AM

He is far from impossible~ You can do it, just try different things. Go in with a specific strategy for it, even if that means picking up a new Pokemon or move somewhere. There's definitely options by that point.

Anyway... waiting for X and Y to come out is lame.
In fact, it's so lame, I would even say that it's...

this won't work on the iphone/touch bc it's for pc only which means it can only be played on the computer.

I really do enjoy this game from the characters, the story and graphics. Do you plan on adding mega evolutions by any chance?

I'd like to but it isn't a priority compared to other 6th gen content. In short, I wouldn't hold your breath.

Save file can be found that way!

YourFavorite October 6th, 2013 3:52 PM

Are you really going to add in 6th gen content? It seems more pertinent to get the 5th gen content hammered out first.
EDIT: I was also wondering if the simple swoobat issue had been fixed yet?

This isn't a .gba file, so it wouldn't work like a gba file.

If it was a matter of devoting energy to one or the other, then yeah, polishing existing content would come first. But the problem with 5th gen effects is just that they haven't been scripted in yet.
Now I do have a couple people who are helping me with scripting but it's not something I can do myself. By contrast, 6th gen things will be relatively easy to at least make exist (although they will suffer as 4th/5th gen does from incomplete scripting, for the time being)

AmethystRain November 8th, 2013 10:28 PM

Hello friends!

Episode 10 is a-go!

Now before you all run off silly-willy to the download page, allow me to caution you this:

If you did not play the 9.5 testing release then you need to do a thing before you load up in E10
let me esplain you the thing
In 9.5 I reworked the city and some other places (Spinel and Chrysolia) to reduce lag (and be pretty). However because of this, if you load an episode 9 save file there is a chance that you may have saved in a place that no longer technically exists.
Therefore, I strongly caution everyone before downloading to check their save files and make sure they are either away from the city, Spinel/Chrysolia, or indoors somewhere. If they are not, go inside, save, and then load Episode 10. Once you've successfully loaded your save in episode 10 there's no longer any risk of issue (although some things like trainers will reset in some places; this is unavoidable.)

Okay, that being made clear, I'll post the notable change-list below, and you're all good to go.

Spoiler:

* The city music is currently in the process of being re-done (5/8)...
* Some shiny Pokemon have been recoloured- this will be an ongoing process
Vulpix Growlithe Arcanine Vibrava Flygon Eevee
Vaporeon Jolteon Flareon Espeon Umbreon Leafeon
Glaceon Zubat Golbat Crobat Ghastly Haunter
Gengar
* The city has been restructured to reduce lag
IMPORTANT- LIKE REALLY REALLY IMPORTANT LIKE REALLY READ THIS BEFORE PLAYING!!!:
When you upgrade to this make sure you have not saved outdoors anywhere around the city or Spinel Town. Save INSIDE, then upgrade.
* Many visuals have been improved including tiles and some visual effects
This will almost certainly cause some visual inconsistencies and passability bugs-- tell me about them!
* As a result of the above things, some trainers and other events will be reset around the city and Spinel Town- this can't be prevented, but is not a bug for future save files.
* A new object has been added to many locations: Glowing yellow, the Light Shard will heal your party when touched, for one use only.
* A selection of trainers will now offer battles in the Grand Hall after a certain point in the game. Each trainer can be battled once per day, with different trainers appearing on different days of the week.
* Each salon can now only be used once per day
* Smack Down, Nature Power, Stored Power, Stealth Rocks and Twister have been fixed.
* Status and Intimidate effect animations now display on the proper targets.
* Charge now increases the power of the next move properly.
* Probopass and Magneton can no longer be evolved in the Abandoned Power Plant... at least not the front of it.
* The walking/run/bike speeds have been adjusted
* You can now use the S key to toggle walk/run
* The shiny ratio has been adjusted- it is now exactly 1% (previously 1.07%)
* Moxie and Magic Guard have been fixed.
* Battles have been slightly sped up (to the best of our ability)
* Trainers should now properly have random Pokemon with their dream world abilities
* Serra has been slightly weakened.
* Dream World abilities have been restored to Wild Pokemon with two natural abilities
* A Hidden Power checker has been added to the Apophyll Academy Dorms
* An IV and an EV judge have been added to a house in the Lapis Ward

Ame, I just wanted to let you know I had a problem unzipping Reborn part 10. I get a message that the Audio/BGM/Atmosphere- Light Realm mp3 is "invalid compressed data to extract".

I tried the download from both Mirrors on your site, so I was just wondering if there is a problem on my end, if this is normal, if it affects gameplay, etc.

Evil 4 Life November 13th, 2013 12:46 PM

Not sure if this is only me but would it be possible to raise the levels allowed per bade? Like I'm upto the poison leader in the wasteland and I'm having a hard time because I've had to delevel my pokemon because they kept breaking the level cap and wouldn't listen to me. The double battle is very interesting, and would it be possible to buy revives or even great balls after acquiring the 4th badge? Poke balls just don't cut it against level 30 and higher, plus against a poison leader you need revives!

About the levels, if you have a team of 6 (which you should considering the difficulty), you won't have any problem with the level caps. The caps are made so you can't overlevel your pokemon, the level is good to me.
You can't buy revive in the current release as far as I know, you can't buy revives even though you can get some with pick-up. You're not supposed to need revives anyway, try to find a strategy to beat Aya, for example, I beat her very easily thanks to Venomoth putting ennemies asleep. I'm not sure about great balls, I think you can buy them later in shops.

Good luck !

Sounds like it still didn't download correctly. You might try again; no one else has reported this issue so it could be your internet.

Aya tends to be difficult regardless but you actually can get a form of revive in the Candy Shop!

The vulpix you get at the barbershop, I thought it was supposed to have the draught ability? Mine doesn't :/

I initially had that same problem. If you re-download the game off of the main website, you will find that it has already been patched and this problem resolved.

Sad to say that Drought Vulpix is not a definite thing. It randomly is issued an ability when you get it. The way to fix this is to save before getting the vulpix, then check its ability/nature suit your needs. This might take a couple of tries. (Hint: Using the soft-reset button/F12 will speed up this process a lot.)

If you have already saved your game with your Vulpix, and want the Drought ability... the only way to get it is via breeding at the Daycare center. (If you are unlucky enough for your Vulpix to not be a female and therefore not usable in this instance, then you can find a Ditto at some point during the game that you can use to do create a new ickle baby Vulpix.)

Thanks for getting back to me Ame! Well the game works well without the file. Maybe it was a false alarm? It's not a matter of trying again either, as I've done so a lot on both mirrors. Who knows. Either way, the game works. I just wanted to take the time to thank you Ame. Such a marvellous game with so much depth in terms of gameplay/characters/storylines. You (and your team) have really done such a great job!

It doesn't erase your data. Your data is stored in a different location.

Nice tiles and images in the game
Great new trainers
And great that you can climb on their pokemon backs :)

-Thanks for the beldum.
BTW if you are going to make an army killer boss in episode 11, make sure that it doesn't fall to the sturdy+bulldoze+super effective combo

As you would expect of a "free" egg in the Pokemon games, it contains Togepi.

Lucario505 November 26th, 2013 1:43 AM

Just finished Episode 10... Omg, I really want to continue playing >.<"
What's going to happen to El? I get the guy was demented but I can't help and feel bad for him.
Adrienn is so awesome!! Xe's just adding more to the mystery of this whole story x)
Randomus is so creepy to me now... At first I thought he was pretty cool, but now he has this maniacal "puppet master" kind of vibe to him... Idk, I just don't feel like you can trust that guy no matter how awesome his outfits are!!
Besides his character he was relatively easy to beat, I didn't even know his team but surprisingly I had a Pokemon to combat his. I might have gotten a bit lucky with the critical hits though xD
I praise those of you who took the challenge and fought Arceus, personally he was just too powerful for me.
This game never fails to impress me :D
-that one side quest was pretty fun, luckily the puzzles weren't as difficult as the gym, can't wait to go test my theory on that key later xD
-Totally found Solosis by accident though :P

Team Used to take down Randomus:
-Simisage(Forrest) lvl. 58
-Magmar(Flame) lvl. 58
-Magnezone(Charge) lvl. 57
-Sharpedo(Cascada) lvl. 57
-Dusclops(Dusk) lvl. 58
-Scrafty(Punk) lvl. 59
[Had to grind up these guys, along with the others I've been raising, before I could even start the story... 3 hours of wild Buffalant ._."]

The best strategy is to use a pokemon with sturdy and a rock type move like Boldore or Graveller. Beware that dwebble didn't set up hazards though, rock blast from any of the 2 previous examples can OHKO it.

I hope that helps :).

21Pilots November 27th, 2013 6:47 PM

This is one of the coolest fangames ive ever played. Just one problem...

My Pokemon are level 20-22 and ive only beaten the first gym. When my Pokemon reach lvl 25, they wont obey me anymore. Theres a lot of trainers in the Obsidia Slums, which will probably boost my Pokemon to lvl 25 in no time, so you see where I'm going? There's just way too many trainers and my Pokemon get too overleveled because of it. Idk what to do now

EDIT: I also really wanted to catch one of the Scraggy's :( how you come you had to make them a Pokemon Trainer instead of a wild Pokemon :(

EDIT2: OMG I FOUND A SHINY BELLSPROUT

Lucario505 November 28th, 2013 11:13 AM

If your Pokemon get over leveled you can always go to the Obsidia Ward Candy Shop and by some Common Candies to level them down or you could always try to catch and train more Pokemon so you don't get over leveled so fast.
-Scraggy is obtainable, you're just going to have to trust me on this, and go back and look for one in the Slums :P *he's an event Pokemon, so don't expect to find him in the wild*

Hey does anyone know if a Reaper Cloth is obtainable yet? *Hints??*
Also, since Fairy types are about to be added into this game, including the type changes, does that mean that Noel will be losing Cafabel as his signature Pokemon? :o

-looking for more sidequests :P
-found the place for the key, it pays off to read those "Readme"s, thanks for the hint x) it raised more questions about the storyline though xD what was going on in that video??

Ah, but I have 5 Pokes in my team, an upgrade from the 2 I had when I made my first post above, yet they are already nearing lvl 25 fast. And with the Common Candys, that will just make my Pokemon weaker against Florinia (since I'm at her gym) :/ ah well, thanks for the tip about Scraggy, he might help against her Cradily and such since I couldn't do anything to it on my first try DX

EDIT: forgot to say my burning hatred for Fern after just three encounters with him. Pisses me off the way he carries himself

EDIT2: Well after countless tries, I finally beat Florinia. Brick Break on my new Scrafty really helped :D I was also delighted to see that the Canopy Badge lets Pokemon up to lvl 35 obey you, Arceus was looking down on me on that moment XD

VerdeWare December 4th, 2013 1:41 PM

love this game a lot it has a very good story line:D

also btw, how did you sprite the overwolrds?, especially on shade (my fav) how did you make that?

sorry lastly, when are you going to add legendaries?, I would love to see rayquaza in this game, like you are climbing to a summit then BOOM! rayquaza :D :P

S-25 December 5th, 2013 9:14 PM

Srsly, I love this game. Usually I don't like demos and I don't like RMXP games with real pokémon in it (cause there's a bit more to explore with fakemon) but this hack was an exception 'cause it looked promising ("hmm, episode 10, so 10 gyms, let's try this out!").
And whoa, I wasn't disapponted once in the game. I have 4 badges now with 5 pokémon ~Lv45.

And the storyline is really great. 2nd visit at Pyrous Mountain....what the... ;_____;

Keep up the great work!

I had so much trouble taking Shade down, mainly because of his Chandelure, but I finally managed it. My current team is:
Blaziken L.41 (Double Kick, Peck, Focus Energy, Blaze Kick)
Gyarados L.30 (Rock Smash, Tackle, Bite, Twister)
Emolga L.40 (Spark, Acrobatics, Electro Ball, Charge Beam)
Gloom L.34 (Grass Knot, Cut, Acid, Stun Spore)
Noctowl (shiny) L.29 (Hypnosis, Echoed Voice, Uproar, Confusion)
Kirlia L.28 (Magical Leaf, Confusion, Charge Beam, Teleport)

Also, on the official website, it says that both Eevee and Riolu can be caught. Where can I find them?

They're found later in the game. You can trade a Luvdisc for a Riolu in the Academy and Eevee is found the forest east of reborn but it's quite complicated to get it. Search on Youtube, there's a guide vid for it.

The obtainable list doesn't show le Dusknoir, so that's negative on the reaper cloth, sorry
As for Noel, I had a brief discussion with this on my forum, and although I don't usually like this, gym leaders even in the main series do sometimes have Wild Cards. Because it's akin to his best-buddy Nomos and because it's understood it was formerly Normal type, I'm currently leaning towards letting him keep it. Open to feed back on this though.

I actually made a spriting tutorialish thing on my youtube. You can see me working on Luna's overworld here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qdxszsk-hSE
I'm afraid I don't have anything like that for Shade but it's honestly not that different for any character

She is not, just a similar hair colour/style (The protagonists were made from some of the most popular items in Reborn's sprite store at the time; Cynthia's hair happened to be the most popular girl's style)

However, times have changed.
And thus, so must the protagonists.

I've been a bit late on delivering this news post, but here it is.

Kuro and Lucia will be joining our existing protagonists on the train bound for Reborn City starting in Episode 11!

http://www.pokemonreborn.com/images/pr/kuropreview.pnghttp://www.pokemonreborn.com/images/pr/luciapreview.png

For current players who wish to switch over to these new protagonist appearances, I will probably include a temporary option to do so in the next release.

However! Not to be outdone by the newly drawn protagonists, our existing main characters, Vero and Alice have also received a sort of make-over. When I initially sprited the present protagonists I was attempting to keep to the old 3rd gen 8-bit style. Over the months I've moved away from that with a lot of the other sprites, so I figured it was time to bring the protagonists up to speed.

I just discovered this great game more than a week ago through Youtube.

I love the challenge it offers and played all the way to the most recent episode. This was my first fan made game and it didn't disappoint! The story is pretty damn good but sometimes stretches SoD, especially the young ages of some of the gym leaders. Though having researched the background the game more I realise its not something that can be changed. Nevertheless the story is managing to be cool and interesting and I look forward to where it goes next. I'm thinking of doing a text based Lets Play of Pokemon Reborn on a forum I frequent.

I tried signing into the forum on the official Reborn website (under the same username) several days ago but the admin still hasn't approved me so I can't post or reply.

BTW Amethyst, Reborn was the reason I found this website (and a bunch of other neat fan games) so I hope you don't mind me putting your username in the referral box. Since you technically led to me signing up here.

On one last note I choose my avatar as Pacharrissu in honour of the number of times it has saved my bacon in tough reborn gym battles. Its Charm attack shutting even the mightiest physical attackers down and its thunder wave paralyse hax was invaluable. All other stats apart from speed were garbage, but combined with hyper fang taking away 50% hp made this little rodent a trusted team member all the way up to Serra (who I lost all sympathy for after she beat me literally 50 times over and over -_- but thats another story).

Nekxen December 21st, 2013 1:37 PM

This game is amazing! Discovered it about a week ago and got my friends into it as well. I was wondering though, is there any way to make this game run on an emulator? I play a lot of roms on my phone and so I use a GBA emulator. I play Pokemon Reborn on PC but I can't use my PC everywhere but I can use my phone almost anywhere.

Slaying Moon December 22nd, 2013 11:28 AM

Anyone know a good strategy, using my current team, and without leaving Spinel Town, to defeat Serra? My current team is (the high levels are because of Aya. I was forced to buy a crap-ton of Rare Candies):

Blaziken L.55 @Quick Claw (Double Kick, Brave Bird, Slash, Blaze Kick)
Gyarados L.55 @Red Card (Hydro Pump, Hyper Beam, Strength, Rock Smash)
Gardevoir L.54 @Scope Lens (Magical Leaf, Psychic, Charge Beam, Shadow Ball)
Noctowl (shiny) L.55 @Silk Scarf (Shadow Ball, Air Slash, Uproar, Extrasensory)
Gloom L.55 @Miracle Seed (Petal Dance, Cut, Acid, Stun Spore)
Emolga L.55 (Discharge, Acrobatics, Electro Ball, Agility)

The game is only playable in a computer, you cannot play it with a GBA emulator since it is not a GBA rom.

Nekxen December 22nd, 2013 6:21 PM

But that's what I'm asking. Is there any way to convert the file so it can run as a gba rom? Or was the game completely made from scratch with no base? It seems as though the base is Pokemon Ruby/Saphire/Emerald.

Maruno December 23rd, 2013 3:14 AM

You had your answer. This is a PC game, as are all the games in this section. These are completely incompatible with ROMs and handheld consoles, and cannot be made to play on them. It may look like a GBA game, but that's the extent of it.

Nekxen December 23rd, 2013 6:49 AM

So I read up somewhere that this isn't a GBA rom hack. Also read some of the past posts (should of done that first XD) and saw somebody else wanting to do the same thing I wanted to do but unfortunately as Maruno and Elios has responded, it is PC only. Welp, sadly Reborn won't be portable, but I can always bring my laptop everywhere. :p

Errrrr..... Ten gyms....... That's so awesome! Could you tell me there're how many gyms before the Pokemon league? Or it is between the 8th and the 9th gym? I have supported your game. :)

A gym for each type so that's 17 gyms, maybe a 18th for the fairy type but this is not confirmed by the author afaik. The game is about half done but it's already awesome with lots of things to do already in it ;).

HeavyOctillery December 28th, 2013 1:13 PM

That's......quite the ******-up Region ya have there....I like it. :P

Slaying Moon January 2nd, 2014 6:34 PM

After far too many attempts, I finally managed to defeat Serra, after which I decided to go back and get some Common Candies, and I'm currently making my way through the Tanzan Meteor Base. My current team is (all are female):

Blaziken Lv.53 @Quick Claw (Double Kick, Brave Bird, Slash, Blaze Kick)
Gardevoir Lv. 53 @Scope Lens (Magical Leaf, Psychic, Charge Beam, Shadow Ball)
Gyarados Lv.53 @Red Card (Hydro Pump, Hyper Beam, Strength, Rock Smash)
Noctowl (shiny) Lv.53 @Silk Scarf (Shadow Ball, Air Slash, Uproar, Extrasensory)
Gloom Lv.53 @Miracle Seed (Petal Dance, Cut, Acid, Stun Spore)
Emolga Lv.53 (Discharge, Acrobatics, Electro Ball, Agility)

I think that before the game was updated to chapter 10, the woman in the Reborn League's Registration (in the first city where me get our first pokemon) said that in the reborn region there are 18 gyms, but when I updated my save to chapter 10, she said that there are 18 gyms, so I think that actually there will be a fairy type gym.

I got another computer so I'll have to restart this game and I have 2 questions: You can get Kalos starters in Ep. 10? Do they have their Hidden Ability?

Gen VI hasn't been introduced yet, so no, you can't get the Kalos starters yet.

Uzigunner January 8th, 2014 2:43 AM

Hey there Amethyst, I just wanna let you know that congratulations on making such a hard game. The story is perfect and the battles are as challenging as hell! This literally is helping me in developing as a competitive player when it comes down to Pokemon. But more importantly, this game literally has that mature factor which makes it equally AWESOME!! But I need to ask you this though? Sorry if this question has been asked before, I checked in the last 2 pages and since there is no question like that I feel the need to ask. Will there be any mega evolutions? Sorry if this question has been asked recently...

NeoSpeedFreak January 8th, 2014 1:51 PM

You can reset the game? (Not the save)

Lost Lore January 9th, 2014 8:45 AM

If you mean like a soft-reset? Then yeah, just push F12.

...Uh, while I'm here, can I just say how much I love this game? I've become addicted to it over the past, like... week or so, can't put it down. I adore the darker tones to the plot and all~ Currently I'm at 7 badges and I'm just farting around for a bit breeding a couple Pokemon before I go see if I can't defeat Radomus for my eighth.

...I am just really dreading that gosh darn chess puzzle...

Slaying Moon January 9th, 2014 6:01 PM

My Arceus, the battle against Radomus was difficult! After multiple attempts, it came down to a battle of Gardevoir vs. Gardevoir.
Gyarados took out Alakazam with two Strength attacks.
Starmie fell to an Acid/Stun Spore/Petal Dance combo via Gloom.
Gloom, Gyarados and Emolga were eliminated by Metagross.
Metagross was Flare Blitz'd by Blaziken.
Gallade and Reuniclus were weakened by Noctowl.
Noctowl fell to Reuniclus.
Gardevoir (mine) took down Reuniclus.
Gallade was felled by Blaziken's Brave Bird.
G.Gardevoir eliminated Blaziken.
Gardevoir (mine) took out G.Gardevoir.
I can't wait for Episode 11!

Lost Lore January 11th, 2014 11:59 PM

After the teaser? I'm dyin' for episode 11, too. Have I mentioned that I'm in love with this game? Even if I have, let me just reiterate it.

...As you can probably guess, I've just beaten Radomus, yeah. He's the third Gym leader I've beaten on the first try (the other two being Shelly and Serra), and I must say, that was a tense battle regardless. If Skuntank hadn't gotten that crit on Reuniclus, and Gardevoir hadn't taken down Gallade (I was going to use Gengar, but I got Psycho Cut'd on the switch in... darn it) I would've had a much harder time.

G. Gardevoir was the easiest out of 'em, actually. She fell victim to Imprison (yeah, that's a cheap strategy but it worked) and I just casually set up on her while she struggled to hurt me with Hidden Power before going for the KO with Shadow Ball~

Not in the current Episode 10, but all starters can/will spawn with their DW abilities

There will be more than just Mega evolutions...

And for the rest of you, glad you're all having fun~

In just a few days I'll be uploading a testing release 10.5 (much like the 9.5 visual update) that has no new story content, but is updated with 6th gen content (sans some scripting stuff). However, 10.5 is only for testing, so although it will be available on Reborn's site/forum it will not be posted here, nor will it replace the main downloads. Those who want to try it out are free to, but they do so at their own risk. It'll all be incorporated into the E11 release later though, so no worries for those who don't want it.

Does anyone know how to get Ralts in the new update of Reborn? also I think I found a glitch, when you attack a Bidoof or a Bunelbi( or however you spell it) with a Meouth's scratch or a Spinerack's poison sting the HP bar gets stuck in an endless loop.

To get Ralts, you need to give money to the man near the Electric Gym/Power Plant, until he moves out of the way. There is a house that he was blocking, that contains Ralts.

Suchanut02 January 23rd, 2014 10:01 AM

But in the new version the ralts dosent want to be touched and wont let me have it....

You need to buy some Pokesnax from the vendor in West Peridot Ward- he's a bit north of the Poke Mart. Then go back and talk to Ralts.

Suchanut02 January 23rd, 2014 12:30 PM

Bidoof glitch out the game in general...... and I want Litleo to....

AmethystRain January 24th, 2014 7:12 PM

I reuploaded the new version today to fix the HP glitch that was happening. After all, that one is only a testing release. xP Sorry about that though

Suchanut02 January 25th, 2014 9:20 AM

Are you sure that the pokesnax vendor is north of the pokemart? because I haven't found him/her

Right here, specifically.

I guess "just north of the Pokemart" was too vague? My bad. X'D

Also, nice to know that the HP glitch is fixed. Should probably continue playing that new game I just started. (Although after the nightmare that was Julia with the Charge Beam/Mud-Slap bug, I'm not looking forward to Florinia.)

Um, Episode 11 hasn't been released yet.

YacobMan7 February 5th, 2014 9:43 AM

Well I mean 10.5 then. I'm stuck in the Obsidia Slums because there's a hard puzzle that I can't figure out. I have a Braixen and a Swirlix so I know what I'm talking about. It's a great update btw

Daruda February 5th, 2014 11:58 AM

Well, I've found the game to be really laggy, so much that the script hanged and when I restarted the game I found myself freezed in the second gym.
Too bad, it's the second time that this happens, I won't restart it.

If you haven't already, I suggest removing the files for the animated sprites from the Battlers folder under Graphics. Don't delete the whole folder, just the files with the extension .gif, if that doesn't work, then I'm afraid I can't help you.

Daruda February 5th, 2014 2:24 PM

The folder is alright.
I was just starting a battle with a trainer and then the script hanged and when I restarted the game I can't do anything, I'm fixed with that trainer in front of me and I can't even move or use the menu.
If I could somehow have my pokemons, even if not at the same point of the story, would be awesome.

Nah, no EV items would just be prolonging things, considering most Pokemon are EV maxed around level 20. Plus, this game does use competitive battling tactics, so having the proper equipment would suffice.

AmethystRain March 10th, 2014 4:26 AM

HI! It's been a while. And guess what?

The first post has been updated with Episode 11's Release

A lot has changed!
If you're coming from a fresh Episode 10, this update features 6th Gen Pokemon, Fairies, New Protagonists, Field Effects, and a whole ton more! Check below for a full list of changes as listed in the Readme, but take care to note the important things (such as a note about updating, and controls) as listed on the game download page. Link is below the changelog

Notable Changes:
Spoiler:

* The city music is currently in the process of being re-done (8/9)...
* Field Effects have been added to the game! Field effects are location-specific and can change the flow or power of battles in various ways. More on this below!
* The following abilities have been 'fixed', added, altered for sixth gen, or technically improved in some way:
Stance Change Protean Mega Launcher Pixilate Refrigerate
Aerilate Synchronize Moxie Magic Guard Mold Breaker
Competitive Gooey Magician Grass Pelt Fur Coat
* The following moves have been 'fixed', added, altered for sixth gen, or technically improved in some way:
Sucker Punch Sleep Powder Poison Powder Stun Spore Spore
Freeze Dry Flying Press Trick Room King's Shield Cotton Spore
* IV and EV Values can now be viewed by pressing the Z key in the Pokemon stat Summary screen.
* You can now press D to Quick-Save.
* Many new animations exist, however many animations are currently displaying in strange places.
* Accordingly, the IV and EV judges in the Lapis Ward have perished in a terrible accident involving liquid nitrogen, a banana, and one or more unfortunately-placed rubber duckletts.
* The game's text speed has been given illegal amounts of performance-enhancing steroids.
This may have adverse affects. Weak computers should save often until it's confirmed to be stable.
* Sleep now lasts a maximum of 3 turns (Gen 5/6 mech) -- formerly was 6 turns (Gen 3 mech)
* Status moves once again properly hit targets when attacks would otherwise be ineffective (i.e Confuse Ray against a Normal type)
This reverts a previous change which attempted to fix the interaction of status moves with Lightning Rod and other absorption abilities. As a result, that error has returned.
* The trainer card has (finally) been updated to make room for all 18 badges. Accordingly, full size badges are now being used.
Season 1 leaders' badges have been retired in favour of their season 2 counterparts' designs. The given names of the badges have not changed.
* A pass has been made at fixing the random Apophyll Beach crash. Did it work? We'll find out...
* The Ability Capsule and Assault Vest (partial) have been implemented.
* Julia's Gym has been redecorated, including a new Electric Arena. Her team has been adjusted to compensate.
* Radomus now has a new team, fights in doubles, and awards the Trick Room TM (previously Calm Mind).
* Rivals now only use potions available to the player at that time.
* Battles that can or must be lost no longer cause the player to lose money
* The Lower Peridot Ward has been adjusted to reduce lag. When updating, make sure you are not saved outside in that ward.
This has the side effect of resetting some trainers in the Ward. Bear with it, sorry.
#-------------------------------- 10.5 changes --------------------------------#
* Some shiny Pokemon have been recoloured- this will be an ongoing process
Vulpix Growlithe Arcanine Vibrava Flygon Eevee
Vaporeon Jolteon Flareon Espeon Umbreon Leafeon
Glaceon Zubat Golbat Crobat Ghastly Haunter
Gengar Elekid Electabuzz Electivire
All 6th gen Pokemon
* Back sprites have been updated to a Gen 5 style and unified. However, non-6th-gen shiny back sprites have not been updated.
* The following abilities have been 'fixed', added, altered for sixth gen, or technically improved in some way:
Drizzle Snow Warning Drought Sand Stream Static
Water Absorb Oblivious Color Change Flash Fire Shield Dust
Suction Cups Sticky Hold Shadow Tag Arena Trap Effect Spore
Synchronize Magic Bounce Lightningrod Keen Eye Pickup
Magnet Pull Cute Charm Pressure Hustle Vital Spirit
Unburden Sheer Force Stall Contrary Defiant
Friend Guard Imposter Tinted Lens Tough Claws Volt Absorb
* The following moves have been 'fixed', added, altered for sixth gen, or technically improved in some way:
Fling Pursuit Transform Simple Beam
* In battles, the cursor will now always default to the FIGHT command after a move.
* The double battle item-use glitch has been fixed. >:c
* All DW abilities should now spawn properly on all pokemon including Trainers', Wild, Event and Eggs
* Mega Evolution has been added (although not yet implemented in-game)
* Many new animations have been added (however some of them display in the wrong place)
* A 'Large' screen size option has been added (however it seems to cause some issues, moving from Large mode into Full Screen mode)
* 6th gen Pokemon now exist~~~
* 6th gen starters have been added to the beginning of the game
* Soft-resetting for starters has been made easier
* TMs have been updated to Gen 6 and existing TMs have been reset (can be found again)
* Electric Types can no longer be paralyzed
* Ghost types can no longer be trapped
* Appropriate pokemon have received Gen 6 stat buffs
* FAIRIES!!!!!
* Steel type resistances have been updated
* Abilities, moves, types and stats of old Pokemon have been updated. However, Egg moves have not.
* A flower shop has been added to the Lapis Ward
* Several Pokesnax vendors have been added throughout the city. Many event Pokemon are now newly based around these (some other events have been changed too).
* Trainers and story battles have been updated to include Gen 6 Pokemon
* Florinia and Aya have had their overall power reduced. Aya has been given a new Ace. Serra now has a new team entirely and will fight in singles. Other leaders have changed slightly
* Several TMs can now be won as Arcade prizes
* Two new potential protagonists have been added to the game. Existing players may switch over to the new protagonists in the Grand Hall (top left). The option to switch will exist only until the E12 release.
* Teleport (and Fly) can no longer be used while riding a Tauros.
* HP bars now animate faster at higher levels.

As I mentioned in the massive changelog, we're also adding Field Effects to Reborn. What are those? This page has all the answers!

Our download page is right here!

Lost Lore March 11th, 2014 5:48 PM

Holy crap Luna was hard.

...Oh wait, this is Sparta Reborn.

On the plus side of things, 7th Street is awesome. Pure awesome. And I love the field effects, although they haven't been very helpful on my end as of yet...

Also, Iolia Valley is beautiful. Breathtakingly so. I really liked that crystal puzzle (minus the necessity for Rock Smash), will there maybe be anything like that in the future?

The other puzzle (I won't specify which because that's a spoiler, but) however... Pokemon Ranger war flashbacks ensued. There was much rage had. But stubborn Espy is stubborn and pressed onwards.

And obligatory team used to beat Luna, I guess:
Spiggy/Emboar (Lv. 63) @Quick Claw - Heat Crash, Hammer Arm, Flare Blitz, Head Smash
Sir Vale/Gardevoir (Lv. 60) @Brightpowder - Psychic, Calm Mind, Shadow Ball, Moonblast
Ruri/Azumarill (Lv. 60) @Mystic Water - Aqua Tail, Bounce, Superpower, Play Rough
Bayou/Swampert (Lv. 62) @Leftovers - Waterfall, Earthquake, Protect, Ice Beam
Fern/Roserade (Lv. 62) @Big Root - Sleep Powder, Giga Drain, Extrasensory, Leaf Storm
Blair/Skuntank (Lv. 62) @Black Sludge - Night Slash, Flamethrower, Rock Smash, Explosion

AmethystRain March 11th, 2014 9:27 PM

Field Effects might end up to be more useful once they're in more casual places. That'll come with time since the few we have now are a sort of 'test drive'.

Glad you liked the crystal puzzle! When you mean, will there be more like it, in what sense exactly do you mean? Using that theme, those items, the blacklight caves, or--?

Slaying Moon March 11th, 2014 11:39 PM

Ame-chan, I have a question about the new episode. Why can't I get off of the Tauros anymore?

abdi987 March 12th, 2014 12:04 AM

A buton is the new button to get of the Tauros

abdi987 March 12th, 2014 12:07 AM

Oh yeah i will absolutely love if there was a fire field (fire s my absolute favorite type)

Slaying Moon March 12th, 2014 3:10 AM

Oh my Helix/Arceus, Luna's team was tough! I ended up going back and buying more Rare Candies and leveling up Blaziken far past the point where it stopped obeying me, then using some Common Candies to get it back to normal after the battle. I also gave Noctowl and Gloom (still looking for a Leaf or Sun Stone for it to evolve) new nicknames, taught Gardevoir a new move via the Move Reminder/Tutor, and fought against the former Aqua Leader again (that was a tough battle too).
My current team is:

RyujinJaka/Blaziken (F, Lv.65) @Quick Claw (Sky Uppercut, Brave Bird, Slash, Flare Blitz)
Nejibana/Gyarados (F, Lv.65) @Red Card (Hydro Pump, Hyper Beam, Strength, Rock Smash)
Gonryomaru/Emolga (F, Lv.65) (Discharge, Acrobatics, Electro Ball, Agility)
Kageyoshi/Gloom (F, Lv.65) @Miracle Seed (Petal Dance, Cut, Acid, Stun Spore)
Minazuki/Gardevoir (F, Lv.65) @Scope Lens (Moonblast, Psychic, Charge Beam, Shadow Ball)
Tachikaze/Noctowl (F, Lv.65, shiny) @Silk Scarf (Shadow Ball, Air Slash, Uproar, Extrasensory)

I meant using those items, although I liked the blacklight caves quite a bit too. Took a while to figure out where to go once I'd solved pretty much all of the puzzle, though.

You have no idea how overjoyed I was to see the Pitch Black (was that what it was called, I think?) field, since Dark is mine. I didn't get much use out of it myself, but... maybe in a future mono-type?

Oh, there will be, don't worry~ Waiting on a bit of tech to get that going though, since one way to get a Burning Field will be to set fire to the Grassy Field

With the items-- I wasn't planning on it but I do recognize there's not a whole lot of reason not to include some things here or there. It won't be nearly as in-depth as in the valley though. So, just maybe. We'll see.

As for the field, increasing Dark/Ghost moves against a Dark leader is not quite so helpful. But there are a few moves that it powers up that could potentially decimate Luna, should one choose to abuse them... Bennett certainly did.

One of my goals for E12 is to make the existing field effects more readable with their bonuses and such, so hopefully that'll become more clear.

abdi987 March 13th, 2014 9:34 AM

Cool i have been wondering
What inspired you to make the server and this game

abdi987 March 13th, 2014 9:36 AM

oh yeah to make florinia harder give her the grass field that will make people scream

abdi987 March 14th, 2014 9:56 AM

Hey i have an idea The Royal field
1.5 x for all dragon type moves
Dragon dance gets its boost to 2x
Fairy type moves do 0.5x damage
Moonlights healing = 25%
Draco meteor does not make the user lose special attack instead the target loses speciall attack

Wanted to say I love your game!
What inspired you to make this?cause it's awesome!
I'm still on episode 9 I'll update eventually when I'm indoors but I've been stuck on the ghost gym leaders gym for a while I just can't get past it but that's the point it's supposed to be challenging!

I love this game, so much, though with the new control changes, is there any way to for someone to change them BACK to c - confirm/talk x - cancel, etc? I've been playing reborn for quite a long time so the new controls are to put simply are seriously messing with me.
