When you connect your DS to your ranch, you can just send pokemon you recieved from Hayley to your DS game the same way you withdraw pokemon from the ranch.

I'm considering getting Pokemon Battle Revolution (Despite mixed reviews I think I would really enjoy it) but the main appeal is the wi-fi battles. Do people still play it online or is it dead now? Thanks :)

is there a way of getting pokemon from pokemon ruby and sapphire pinball to soul silver?

curiousnathan May 19th, 2010 6:09 PM

I have a Pokemon Mystery Dunegon: Explorers of Darkness; and I am on a mission to recruit all of the possible legendary pokemon in the game. I journeyed through Aeigs Cave and recruited Regice - Registeel and Regigas. For some strange reason Regirock wont ask to be recruited which would usualy happen with most legendaries.

Another occasion is when I reached the end of Giant volcano and heatran did not ask to be recruited either, I have visited heatran several times but he never asks.

Is there areason why they don't ask, if so what is it? How do I get them to join my team? Thankyou.

Not at all. Pokemon from the actual Ruby and Sapphire games, yes, but not from Pinball.

Regirock has a 70% chance of being recruited so there is still that [stupidly small] chance it'll fail.
Just keep trying, it'll ask eventually. :3

As for Heatran.. you have Secret Rank right?
I've never tried to recruit Heatran myself so I dunno if you can only get it's mission if you have Secret Rank or whatever.. so I'm just making sure. XD;

I do have secret rank after resucing Scizor. Thanks for the tipe on Regirock I'll try again. Hrmm I wonder though why Heatran won't join. That is still a mystery for me anyway.

Well if I remember correctly after defeating Heatran you receive an item called Fire Drum that makes it easier to recruit fire types..
Maybe have your hero hold it while in the dungeon and then talk to Heatran?
I dunno, it might make it easier for you and it's worth a shot if nothing else.

If he still doesn't ask I really dunno what could be the problem..

Great idea! I'll be sure to try it.

Satoshi Ookami May 21st, 2010 10:55 PM

Do you battle him alone or only with partner?
I realized that bigger (in size) legendaries are easier to recruit when you have space in party so they can join and immediately go with you.
As for Fiery Drum... it might as well work but Golden Mask or Amber Tear raises the possibility of recruiting more then Fiery Drum.

Battle Revolution (Wii)

Ok. Please, don't try and talk me out of buying it. Because it won't work. I want 3D pokemon, so I'm buying 3D pokemon next week.

I just have a few questions:

1. Do you get given a Sinnoh Starter? Or something else? Or do you have to have D/P/Pt/Hg/Ss to play it? (I have D/Pt/Ss, so it isn't a problem, but.....)

2. What's the status on legendaries online? Apparently they've been banned and unbanned repeatedly by nintendo.....

O n e ; Actually I believe you are given a handful of Pokemon for rental if you don't have the games.
There's two passes in the beginning, one for a girl and one for a boy. Each have a specific selection of 6 Pokemon and I don't believe you have a choice on them. You may not wanna quote me on this because I haven't played PBR in a long time so my memory is a bit fuzzy.
:pink_tongue:

T w o ; I've seen many videos of PBR on Youtube and I see legendaries all the time.
I'm assuming either Nintendo doesn't reinforce the ban or they are simply unbanned.

Flare Riqueza May 25th, 2010 10:55 AM

Oh ok. Thanks.

I'll guess they're just not banned. As I thought it was simply you couldn't battle with legendaries in your party when they were banned.

Btw, bit of a lol: www.amazon.co.uk. search pokemon battle revolution. look for the most expensive one.

I think I'll go to play.com instead.....:P

Well this thread's over a month old, but it's a stickey so I suppose it would be all right to post a question....

I am trying to get an Adamant Zigzagoon with the move Extremespeed and the ability Gluttony. The only way to get a Zigzagoon with Extremespeed is from Pokemon Box: RS. Is the Zigzagoon with Extremespeed from Pokemon Box have a set nature in all the games or does the nature change? If it does not have the right nature or ability, can I somehow reset the game in order to get the right nature and ability? I would really appreciate it if someone would please answer my question, thanks!

Don't fret Ru! The Zigzagoon has a randomized nature... Although im pretty sure BOX will try to save instantly. Just pray that you're lucky.

Thanks for answering, Sir, but is there any way to check then turn off the game instantly? Also I looked on Serebii and it said you recieve the Pokemon as eggs, how do you hatch them in Pokemon Box, or do you have to trade over the egg? Ok so I checked Bulbapedia and it says you cannot breed Extremespeed onto another Zigzagoon and it says that the Zigzagoon's ability is Pickup, If I Palpark it over to DPPt or HGSS and evolve could the ability change because I really want it to?

OK thanks anyway. I'm going to go ahead and buy it and cross my fingures, If I don't get the right nature or something, I'll just erase the data or something.....I hope you can do that.

Edit: I checked around on Youtube and I got most of my questions answered.

Weavile05 July 27th, 2010 8:39 PM

I'm buying another copy of Platinum soon to eventuall replace my R4.
I want to know how to import them to battle revolution. The connect to wii option is not available on my rom, but my friend says it shows up on his game.
How do I get it to show up.

ger345 August 6th, 2010 5:17 AM

You have to have a wii emulator im pretty sure, but I dont use DS Roms much because there slow, it to me about 30 minuetes just to get my starter in diamond!

Dose anyone think my battle revolution team could be beter? here it is:
Garchomp Lv.100
Gyrardos lv.100
Lucario Lv.100
Mewtwo Lv.100
Darkrai Lv.100
Celebi Lv.100
Should I add some pokemon? Take some out? But what I am going to do is give them all the best TMs Because I used a cheat to give me all tms.
So what do you think?

Weavile05 August 6th, 2010 10:21 AM

I was asking how to get it to show up in the real game, which I will be buying a copy of soon, not the rom, the option should show up on the ROM, I already know I won't be able to connect to battle revolution on my R4. I was just asking how to make it show up in the real game. I know it's possible, I saw the back of the game in the store and it said it could connect to battle rev., I just want to know how to get the option to show up.

I'm sure it won't work on the rom,but if you use the actual game it will work.
  1. What you do is go on your wii and turn on your Pokémon Battle Revolution(PBR).
  2. You go to your 'Storage.'
  3. Press 'Copy Pokémon' and then click it again.
  4. Now while it's loading open your DS with your Pokémon cartridge.
  5. On the menu screen where you can set your wi-fi settings and continue your save file,a new window should pop up that says 'Connect to Wii.'
  6. Press 'Connect to Wii' then wait for it to connect and load and it should work fine.
What things you should remember is:
  • You are unable to use R4's or anything related.
  • You do not need Wi-Fi for this.
  • This copies Pokémon. You will not lose the Pokémon in your DS.
  • It completely copies all of your Pokémon in your storage.
  • You can do this as many times as you want.
  • Both games need to be in the same language.
  • I'm certain that this is fully compatible with DPPt and HGSS.

Weavile05 August 12th, 2010 10:45 AM

That's fine, and I know that copying the pokes won't work on the rom, but the option should still show up on the rom, right? Also it doesn't show up on my legit copy of SS either. what about that?

EDIT: Never mind, I didn't know that the option would only show up when it knows that there is a wii to connect to.

Weavile05 August 21st, 2010 3:11 PM

I understand the above 31 thing. however, if no cheating device was used, it should still allow you to use all 31 IVs.

A couple of questions about Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia

1. Is your starter pokemon able to evolve?

i.e. if I choose Munchlax, Sneasel or Gible, can I end up with Snorlax, Weavile or Garchomp?

2. Is Manaphy available like in Pokemon Ranger?

I know it was available, but is it through a password like in the original, or was it only available as a wi-fi download?

No there aren't evolutions in SoA =)

If I remember it was through Wi-Fi but I'm not sure it's still available.

With that new Pokemon Ranger game (Shadows of Almia) is it connectable to the Pokemon games such as Diamon/Pearl/Plaitnum/Soul Silver/Heart Gold? If so, is that for items and Pokemon or just items?

Also, is it any good? I've not played it before it looked crazy at first.

I wouldn't call SoA as a new Ranger xD
But to answer it. I don't know about HG/SS but it can be connected to D/P/Pt but only to transfer Aura Sphere Riolu, Manaphy egg and Dakrai to D/P/Pt games.

Transferring pokemon between games

Heyyy so I'm just curious how compatible all the console games are with all the gameboy game generations. Correct me where I'm wrong please:

Stadium 1: Gen 1
Stadium 2: Gen 1-2
Colosseum: Gen 1-3?
XD: Gen 1-3?
Box: Gen 3
Ranch: Gen 4
Battle Revolution: Gen 4

Timbjerr October 12th, 2010 3:42 AM

Colosseum and XD are only compatible with GenIII games. The rest you've got right. :P

RockHardSemi October 16th, 2010 1:11 PM

I almost bought a Wii today for the sole reason of playing that Pokemon Battle Revolution. However, is it similar to Pokemon Colosseum, where it has a story? Or is it only Pokemon Stadium battles that take place?

I've nabbed myself a Gamecube again (for £3 off eBay FTW) and will hopefully buy a copy of XD: Gale of Darkness to keep my Pokemon 3D needs at bay.

Just like Spirit mentioned there's 50% chance that you will lose them.
And to get them again... well you have to go back to the dungeon and beat the boss again =D But I'm not sure if you'll get it once you recruited boss of dungeon... maybe you get it once you climb to boss's room...

Xebelleon October 23rd, 2010 11:14 PM

Pokemon Battle Revolution is almost like being stuck in Mt. Battle for ever. Not the best reason to buy a Wii as the online community is there, if in a lacking sense when compared to things like Pokemon Online servers or taking your DS onto Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
Pokemon Battle Revolution has a Surf Pikachu, Magmortar, Electivire, various items for battle/evolution, and a variety of berries to save your in-game winnings on.
NO "shadow" Pokemon are in PBR. No mini-games are in PBR.

Shadows of Almia is Sinnoh compatable as far as I know. HGSS doubtful, as they had not been released yet (2008).

The Ranger games are a severely underrated and underappreciated spinoff series as they have in my opinion one of the best stories if the Dungeon games sick a person out.
-Should be aware that for a game reliant ENTIRELY on drawing circles, loops, and odd symbols, the game play is rather good.
-Replay value of the games is minimal sadly.
-One good thing may rest in THE FIRST Ranger game when purchased used as not every buyer knew/knows the password entry to use for the Ranger Net Manaphy mission (password is region dependent, with Japan, Europe, America have their own. I think Australia does, too).
-The first Ranger takes maybe ten hours to finish. The second Ranger, Shadows of Almia, is much improved over the first as you can ride a Torkoal to "lava surf", ride Drifloon over steam jets, ride Mantine through underwater currents, and do Safari Zone style challenges on a Doduo or Lapras.
-The NEW Ranger game, Guardian Signs, is rather unique in that it almost
"forces" a person to buy a second copy if they want the Deoxys from its available "wireless" mission (NOTE: wireless in this case is LOCAL). This totally blows. Like, royally. As going out to find someone that actually HAS this game is about as challenging as a wi-fi battle with you not having evolved Pokemon. This Guardian Signs is also quite long but has a rather lengthy "wireless" mode that grants the Ranger a separate stat range for his Styler and skills when choosing to "go back" by calling Celebi.

Each Ranger game has a single player mission for Manaphy to send to a Gen IV game, though the first two are only Sinnoh. The events for the second Ranger game are over I think. They "were" for a Manaphy and Darkrai. Manaphy is always an Egg.
This new Ranger game offers: a Manaphy egg, Heatran, Deoxys form dependant on capture time OR form when mission cleared, and a Shaymin.

Celebi and Arceus are in the new Ranger game, but probably not in a transfer capacity.

There is a Browser feature that is like a PokeDex. Complete it unlocks some extra skill stuff like taking Pokemon partners anywhere.

I got a secondhand copy of Pokemon Pinball today which already had high scores and pokedex data on it but I want start from the beginning. I managed delete all the high scores but how do I delete the pokedex data?

Edit: I have another question, this one is about Ranger: Guardian Signs. I'm getting this game for my birthday (December 13th) and I'm wondering if I can receive the Wifi missions as soon as I get the game or do I have to finish the main storyline before I can receive them?

You could start a new game.. I'll write the ways to for both games, just in case.

Pokemon Pinball ;
When you start up the fame and the Nintendo sign will come up. Press A + B + R + L all at the same time when it does.
It should ask "Are you really sure you want to delete this game file?" or something like that.

Pokemon Pinball Ruby & Sapphire ; Hold down left on the control pad and push down L and R at the same time 3 times in a row. Be sure to hold on the left button the whole time.

For the Ruby & Sapphire I had to google it, so I'm sorry for the vagueness, but I dunno it myself..

However, I've also heard that if you use a different PBR save file to obtain the item, you can still transfer the item to the same main series game with the same save file. Has anyone tried it here?

Thanks. (Hope everyone understood the question.)

I kinda understood the question >> XD; I believe this only counts for the Pokemon not items, since I transfered over quite a few TM's. So they work the same right? :/ So items shouldn't be any different.

Basically what I heard was that if you transferred, say a TM92 to a (e.g.) Diamond Version save file, you couldn't transfer another TM92 from the same PBR save file to the same Diamond save file. Then there was a not-completely-confirmed rumour that if you used a different PBR save file, then you could transfer a TM92 to the same Diamond save file.

, I remember transferring over Countless Flamethrowers, Thunderbolts and Ice beams.

I remember at least 2 of each so, it should work, and Serebii doesn't say anything about this.

Hey. Despite the type advantage I have, Primal Dialga is proving a tough enemy. I have my team here and please give me a strategy.

(Leader) Riolu Lv34 (35 after Spire)
- Brick Break +3
- Force Palm
- Quick Attack
- Poison Jab

(Partner) Mudkip Lv34
- Mud-Slap
- Water Gun
- Water Pulse
- Tackle (Shame, I know.)

I usually start by a Violent Seed, then I throw a Sleep Seed. Dialga usually brushes it off or wakes quickly. I also have an X-Eye Seed. I got three Reviver Seeds, but 2 of them just get 'wasted' on the way to F10.

Here are items I find useful:

* Pure Seed
* 3x Reviver Seed
* X-Eye Seed
* Sleep Seed

I don't have anything else but a Max Elixir and Food Items. And some "magically useless" orbs.

So, I'd appreciate any help. Should I get Mudkip to Stay Away and Deal with Dialga solely with Riolu (He wastes Reviver Seeds)? Or should I stick to another strategy? Please reply.

I would leave the place. Go to places like Brine cave and other places that have Pokemon with High EXP. The Marowak training place has Pokemon on the 5th floor at Lv35. X-Eye & Stun seeds are your best bet. Use a Stun seed then use all the stat raising moves/items you can. Once your done, just basically smash Dialga with Brick Break, or try Force Palm. It may be weaker but has a paralysis chance.

Sydian February 3rd, 2011 2:15 PM

This probably won't help much, but yeah...really, consider leaving and grinding levels. I went in there at level 35 for both my team members and when I was done, I was level 45. It took me that long to beat Primal Dialga. The only problem with leaving though, if memory serves, is that if you use the save point, you're pretty much stuck there. Then again, this was in Darkness. I don't know if you're playing Sky and they changed that, but in Darkness, I couldn't leave. Either way, grind someway, somehow.

To leave; Once beaten my Dialga u.u You'll be in the safe zone thingy. Go south and it'll ask do you want to return to Temporal tower. Select Yes and keep going south. You'll end up back at Lapras who will take you back to the beach. (:

It could be better but I think you can beat it somehow... Now on to the strategy.

Have you saved on save point? If yes then restart and do those 10 floors again and try to be careful not to use any Reviver Seeds.

Well this isn't... huge amount... but I suppose you can make use of those.
So start with X-Eye Seed, Dialga might start with Roar of Time which will probably kill both of you :D Then try to move with Riolu the way Riolu and Mudkip can face Dialga (I suppose it could be by moving Riolu to north-east but I'm not sure :D) then turn off Mudkip's attacks beside Mud-Slap and try to kill Dialga with the combo of Brick Break and use of Sleep Seed.

It wouldn't work ;) Dialga would pwn both of you by spamming Roar of Time.

NatureKeeper February 4th, 2011 3:11 PM

Thanks Ash, Sydian and Mega.

Spoiler:

But I am sorry, although I do this extremely rarely, I action replayed infinite revives. I just had to, Dialga was a BRUTAL enemy. So please forgive me all of you. This is the only time I've done this in the whole game. :\

P.S. @Ash493: By the way, not waste revival seeds? That's easy for you to say when I get cornored by three Salamence.

Now, I need another one, sadly. This time I got 8 Reviver Seeds, so it would be easier I figure. I am graduating and the "Grand Master of all things" (aka Wigglytuff) is following the same path as Dialga. I can cause some damage, but they outnumber Costali and Carrick, that's for sure. I am , idk, two level ups? Whatsoever, here are the threats in order of damage:

1- Sunflora
Two Words. Petal Dance. I usually start by sweeping her off but threat number two is shielding.

2- Guildmaster Wigglytuff
Shielding and Sing. These are the only things beside bulky Boss HP of course.

3- Dugtrio
Earth Power is like Roar of Time.

4- Diglett
Magnitude, which also hits his allies.

The others aren't much of a hassle. Also, is there a way to make Mudkip attack certain Pokémon? He is spamming it on Croagunk which is immune. So, this time I really do need help. I just spent a whopping 9 hours asking for strategy helps and putting Phail attempts on Dialga so I just had to. I am not planning to do this again, so please help.

P.S. This time I can grind, so you can offer that.
P.P.S. I can teach Riolu Earthquake by a Wondermail S mission I just found.

I would teach Riolu Earthquake, can it even learn it?lmfao

If Mudkip knows Protect, just disable all other moves except Protect. Use a move that isn't earthquake on one of the Pokemon, Mudkip follows with Protect, then spam E-Quake.

Throw a seed at Wigglywuff; He's the main Pokemon and hardest to beat.

If Mudkip doesn't know Protect, relearn it.

Yup, Riolu can learn it via TM. That little Pokémon is amazing.

Nice Strategy. :D

I'll Poison-Jab Sunflora. Then I will do the EQ spam. Thx.

Mudkip ain't got protect in square one anyway..

I'll fetch a TM.

EDIT 2: I did it. I value your advice wholeheartedly.

On PMD: Explorers of Sky, If I have a Blaze Torc (Recovers Hp when hit by a water move) and a Fiery Globe (Protects damage from Water moves) Which effect will happen? Will the Torchic/Combusken/Blaziken regain some health or not take any damage?

My guess:
In fact both of them... Fiery Globe will happen first so water attack will be blocked and then Blaze Torc will recover 0HP.
So in other words... Fiery Globe should happen before Blaze Torc.

Capture a Dusclops and get its slate, fail the mission, level up Dusclops' everything and go for it.

As you progress through the game you'll realize it become a lot better trust me. By the end you can recruit legends, have up to 4 Pokemon travel with you. The game does go slow at the start which makes it unappealing, but it's worth it. n__n;

Satoshi Ookami June 5th, 2011 10:13 PM

It's expected =)
PMDs always have slow start =)
You should understand that you are just a little pokémon in the HUGE world and you must improve yourself, that's why it's so slow, but once you become famous, it'll surely be very enjoyable for you =)

Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2: I was wondering is there a region block on the Gameboy Tower, on these games preventing me from connecting the japanese version games to the tower? Someone told me the handhelds don't have region blocks, but I wanna make sure before I try this. I don't wanna mess up my GB/GBC games where I can no longer play them. I am asking about the actual games by the way, not the Roms.

Sydian June 6th, 2011 3:27 PM

The N64 is region locked, from what I understand. And since you have to use the N64 to use the GB Tower, I would assume the same thing. However, upon reading about GB Tower, there is no mention of it being region locked. Sorry I don't have a definite answer. :( I personally just wouldn't risk it, and would try GB Tower with my English games, but I'm just overly cautious. You can read more about it here, maybe I might have missed something. But yeah. Sorry if this didn't really help, lol.

PMD games have a slow start, both story-wise and literally: There is an option for faster walking speed that always begins off :P

And, at the Spoink mission, the awesome story of PMD 2 has not even started yet (The Drowzee and waterfall missions are even just the little sound that begins the avalanche on my opinion :D)

Either because it was made for Japan only, or it didn't do that well in Japan, the Wii version I mean.

Apple Woods is good for finding Green/Grass Gummies.
But if you always explore the whole dungeon floor you can find at least one or two gummies =D

You cannot recruit legends until you've unlocked Marine Resort. Groudon isn't the easiest to recruit. Try bringing the Amber Tear or the Golden Mask. Good luck with recruiting the legend.

Pokemon Rangers GS multilanguage. But it's only in english!

My girl has bought a pre-owned Pokèmon Ranger Guardian Signs in UK. On the cover there is the multi 5in1 language badge, but the game is only in english (we need to play in italian).
Maybe it's due to the old save game that is in english, but we don't know how to delete it. And if we simply try to make a New Game, it start in english.
How can I delete the old save? I try with hold L+R+START+SELECT but don't work.

It is not possible to erase the date completely. The only way to actually get rid of it, is to Start a new game and save over the old data. \: If you bought the game off somewhere like Ebay, the game could be different to the cover. Idk.

It only supports DPPt and HGSS as it is a Gen IV battle simulator. However, the alternate formes introduced in Platinum and HGSS (Rotom, Giratina, Pichu, Shaymin) will not apear. The Pokémon will still be usable, just in their "normal" forms.

Okay, just two other things, and I'll hopefully be done here.

First off, for whatever reason, I can't bring more than three pokes into any dungeon, no matter what their body size. I can still recruit other pokemon to bring my team up to four, but once the day's over, I'm limited to three again.

Also, if that problem can be fixed, who would be a good final team mate for a team of Blaziken, Swampert, and Celebi?

I'm pretty sure in the first two MD games, you can only have a maximum of 3 Pokemon in a dungeon. (Barring new recruits, escorts etc)

): None unfortunately. ;-; Although Blaziken/Swampert/Celebi gives you an almost perfect defensive core. C:

Yeah, Four are allowed, but your party cannot exceed a "Size Total" of 6. Basically, each Pokemon in PMD have a size assigned to them, and you aren't able to have 4 Pokemon on your Squad because Celebi, Blaziken and Swampert's sizes collectively add up to 6, or the Pokemon you're trying to add causes your team's size total to excited 6.
