Ummm.....Pichu, maybe? or Ralts...

XtinaIsMeLuvinWWE January 21st, 2013 9:32 AM

Leaf Green: Spearow, Nidoran (F), Vulpix, Venonat, Eevee, Goldeen or a baby poké like Magby, Azurill, Cleffa, Tyrogue

Emerald: Wurmple, Taillow or Electrike (or happy with Treecko!)

Seth Rollins January 21st, 2013 9:36 AM

Haha, well I would go with Pikachu, Minun or Eevee...I guess...Pikachu. Yeah, Pikachu, cause I want to be like Red :) If I would be a completely different person, I guess Eevee is going to be my choice. But if I'm going to be a ranger, Minun, no doubt about it.

Bey-Heart January 21st, 2013 12:09 PM

I think it would be pretty cool to start with Clefairy. It's always been one of my favorite Pokémon, and if it weren't for some last minute changes, it would have been Ash's starter (Which means you would have had a Clefairy in Yellow Version.) Also, I like the whole thing about Clefable and Gengar.

Sweets Witch January 21st, 2013 12:10 PM

Abra in FR/LG, definitely. RSE's a little more difficult, but in the end I guess I'd go with Swablu.

Raczack January 21st, 2013 1:21 PM

Nidoran or Lileep would probably my ideal starters, but I'm not picky.

Whistler January 21st, 2013 9:29 PM

I'd choose Whismur as my starter, but my favorite starter is Bulbasaur, although I'm technically allergic to grass type because of my grass allergy.

...Dwebbles are nice, but isn't in these gens. Overall I'd like to start with Whismur AND Dwebble though. :)

Captain Gizmo January 22nd, 2013 5:51 AM

Either Pikachu, Ralts or Dratini. Pikachu, because we form an amazing duo together. Ralts for the awesome stats and speed. And Dratini, because Dragonite kicks butt!

Hikamaru January 22nd, 2013 6:15 AM

Mudkip for me, especially given it was my first and only female starter in any main playthrough of a Pokemon game.

Schwan January 22nd, 2013 9:34 AM

Eevee or Omanyte. Espeon, Umbreon, Omastar carry me through games hahaha.

Clonehunter January 23rd, 2013 5:27 PM

Even with a wide array to choose from, I think I'd still go with Treecko as a starter....

Or maybe Absol, because I really enjoy using him for, well, anything really.

Ephemeral Euphoria January 23rd, 2013 5:32 PM

I'd go with one of the Regis in all honesty, even though they're legendaries they're not exactly overpowered now when compared to beasts such as Kyogre and Groudon.

Non legendary wise I'd go with either Zangoose or Seviper since they were personal favorites back when I was younger.

Venitardus January 23rd, 2013 7:04 PM

Torchic, Eevee or Kyogre for me. either one would be fine for me

The Amazing Justin January 24th, 2013 8:50 PM

Back when FireRed and LeafGreen came out, I wanted Pikachu as my starter with the other three available down the line. Here's hoping Yellow is remade solely in Generation 7.

Shikai January 24th, 2013 11:19 PM

Well I would go for zorua because once it reaches level 60 and is very friendly to you it is strong. I used it against Zekrom in B2 and the first time I used foul play and the second one was always a critical hit for me. I had to keep on redoing it until it wasn't a critical hit. This same thing happened with kyuerm.

I would get zorua. After you eveolve it and it reaches lvl 60 and is friendly to you it is very strong. Even against types that would not be so affective

Clemstar January 25th, 2013 10:56 PM

Ralts, Seedot or Roselia .

annikaprue January 26th, 2013 3:22 AM

I feel safer with a Water and Ground type. Mudkip, Charmander, or Corsola.

Evey February 2nd, 2013 5:23 AM

FireRed-Chamander, you get to learn that exta special move *hint hint* and its evolved form can learn fly.
Leafgreen-Bulbasaur, you learn that move *cough cough* and its generally a good powerhouse.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Any starter in those two versions are good of course~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ruby-Alright, lets face it. In these three generations the creaters seemed heavily biased XD poor fire-types. In Ruby Treeko and Mudkip would be good against Team Magma. Torchic (fav) would do well....fine I guess.
Sapphire-Again Treeko, would own this game against Team Aqua and Wallace. Torchic would own Steven tho...
Emerald- Treeko, again. My baby Torchic wouldnt have a chance! *runs around screaming and crying* Fire would die against Juan and Wallace. Beware!
______________--If you wanna break the rules--_________________________________________________________________
For all games I always use Blaziken, Eevee, Espeon, and Ninetails. So that would be Torchic, Eevee, Eevee, and Vulpix. Blaziken does good against all them crazy bugs, grass, steel types and the general population of pokemon. Espeon is good against almost EVERYTHING and Eevee is a neutral HM-slave :) Ninetails is just cool to have along with you during the journey XP
Caelus February 2nd, 2013 11:45 AM
I'm fine with the starters in both games, but if I had to pick another pokemon I would pick either Spheal, Bagon, Eevee, or Beldum.
Isseubnida February 18th, 2013 1:09 PM
Psyduck would be my unofficial starter.
SoraTheTruth February 18th, 2013 4:42 PM
Eevee, Bagon, Beldum, Growlithe, or Pikachu would be my ideal unofficial starters
WishCookie February 18th, 2013 11:01 PM
I would choose Eevee. I mean think of the...the possibilites!
BENSJAM February 20th, 2013 1:32 PM
I would easily pick sandshrew, because its evolution is so cool, and before it did evolve it looks quite good to.
Connor96 February 21st, 2013 3:06 AM
That'd be Beldum, just because Metagross is pretty brilliant ;p
Elaitenstile February 21st, 2013 3:54 AM
I would pick a Pokémon which would evolve twice, and the first at an early stage. Nevertheless, Pokémon (other than the real starters) like that are impossible to find. Eevee would be the best choice then, except you wouldn't get stones that early, or you would want it to be Espeon or Umbreon (which then requires happiness). But suppose, you managed to hobble up to Celadon with Eevee then xD. Also, other than Eevee, I'd really love Mudkip (it's a generic starter already, how lucky!) to take. Very nice little thing, also helpful 'cause it evolves early (like other starters, except this guy is my fav). Also, an ideal starter would be a one who looks normal, and can cross any terrain (in other words, have legs). He shouldn't be terrifying and should be small and naive like you. Not some hurly burly Rhyhorn, or some spooky Gastly. Not that I hate them, i'm just saying why they aren't starter-friendly.
