Favorite instant wins (YGO).

There are many instant win combos but what is your favorite. Examples are Machine Gun, Blutterfly Dagger Exodia combo, Fire Princess, Moral Bosst combo, Destiny Board, those are some examples. So post your favorite instant win combos. :D

MasterSimon January 30th, 2005 1:14 PM

Reverse World is a k00l FTK
I like Magical Scientist too
but my fav is Reversal Quiz ^_^

Pogiforce-14 January 30th, 2005 1:14 PM

My favorite is one I've performed rescently. Have my Mystic Swordsman level 4, my jinzo with my Baou on it, and hades. Then I basically stop anything that comes their way thanks to those three cards and the effects attached to them.

How is that an instant win combo? it isn't even a total lockdown combo =/

oh btw i though of another funny one! Victory Dragon :P
win the whole match in a single atk!

Mullet January 30th, 2005 1:28 PM

That is a nice one, but it isn't even out yet.

I like the Machine Gun, and the Last Will Magical Scientist combos.

Poji, that isn't an instant win. I'm taking like take there LPs in one turn combos, stuff like that.

Pogiforce-14 January 30th, 2005 1:41 PM

well it was kinda my version of yata. Lock them down so badly there is little they can do.

I never heard of machien gun before.

Mullet January 30th, 2005 1:53 PM

The Machine Gun combo consisits of DMoC, Mass Driver, Spell Economics, and Dimension Fusion, the rest should explain itself, just think about it.

Pogiforce-14 January 30th, 2005 2:04 PM

It would, except I haven't seen mass driver and therefore don't nkow what it does.

Vagabond Aeon January 30th, 2005 2:10 PM

MFC-088
Mass Driver
Continuous Magic
Offer 1 monster on your side of the field as a Tribute to inflict 400 points of Direct Damage to your opponent's Life Points.

that sounds monsterous!
i had a DMoC D-Fusion deck before DmoC got limited
this one sounds just as potent even with only 1 DMoC

Pogiforce-14 January 30th, 2005 2:15 PM

Ah. Thanks. Now I understand wht Mullet meant, but I'm not sure if that'e legal. :\

It's a fun combo to play, and it has a clever, and cool name to boot. It's legal. Why wouldn't it be?

I also like the Cannon Solider, 2 Last Wills, Catapult Turtle, Magical Scientist combo.
:D

Pogiforce-14 January 30th, 2005 2:17 PM

Though you'd ahve to scrape the monsters together pretty well and hope you have enough life points to pull that off.

thats y u do the combo on the first turn =/
can't worry about life if ur at 8000 :P
though the OTK deck is more flexible IMO i still like the FTK ^_^

Pogiforce-14 January 30th, 2005 2:21 PM

how do you do that combo on your first turn with three monters on the field, one of which is a tribute? Not to mention all the cards einvolved.

Mullet January 30th, 2005 2:22 PM

You do it by, sommoning Cannon Solider, lanching him off, and using 2 Last Will, to get out the Turtle, and the Scientist.

You just have to play it smart. If you get it on the first turn it's over, I did the math. Your fusion monsters have to have 2000+ attack for it to work, and you can have up to 20, if the fusion monsters you lanched don't kill them, then lanching off the Scientist and the Turtle should, depending on how you played it. :D

Pogiforce-14 January 30th, 2005 2:23 PM

But as I just said, to get all those monsters on the field on the first turn is impossible.

the whole deck is based on one thing =/
to get out MS and CT in one turn!
it is very easy =/
with only about 9 monsters at most there is a lot of speed
lil or no traps allow room for the spells that you need to get them quickly.
it works great if you build the deck right ^_^
(still think a lot of monsters and traps is a good thing?)

Last Will + Cannon Soldier is just one way to do it in the deck =/

I edited my post. Why else would Last Will be mentioned. :D

if they build a deck all around that then they would be in for a huge dissapointment if the opponent suddenly activates hollowed life barrier and then ring od destruction on Turtle or scientist. :p

how could they do that if they didn't get a turn?
and if they did get a turn there is still control aspects in the deck just in case of such an horrible act like playing cards =/

Three Turtles, and three Cannon Soliders are supposed to go in this deck. A nice Jenny would stop those trap cards if it was latter in the game, I've seen one of these, in fact it got second a tourny last Sunday, the point is to have multipule of the cards that are in danger if the opponet catches on to you stratagy.

I could post a deck like this, as a sample, on another thread.

I didn't hink that this thread would be this successful, and it is getting a lot of posts in a short amout of time.
:D

Pogiforce-14 January 30th, 2005 2:44 PM

Because Simon doesn't like traps and likes to push taht, so naturally I ahve to argue him in the defense of trap cards.

and it's still quite impossible to get all those cards out on the first turn. Teh probabilty of getting what you need on the first turn when three of them are monsters and two are magics is like 1 out of 1200 possibel hand combinations, maybe more, supposing it's only a 40 card deck.

did u not listen there is more then 1 way to do it =/

Mullet i think you should post a sample deck to show em =/

Pogiforce-14 January 30th, 2005 2:55 PM

I'm aware of Legendary Ocean, pot of greed, etc, but it doesn't change the fact that your chances of getting exactly what you need on the first turn are incredibly low.

I'm no idiot, I'm no ammature, and if you keep treating me as such, then you're going to find me a very inhospitable character.

no really i can't remember the exact number but once i got it running i had an FTK deck that more than 75% was ftk(but if it wasn't ftk it lost =/)
OTK has less First turn kills but just cuz there was no win on first turn doesn't mean t lost...

Mullet January 30th, 2005 2:58 PM

Duel the person that made it Poji, then you'll see the power of that combo.

I'll post it, but our veiws on the cards might be different, and it might be a little trap heavy, and it will be mostly stall control cards.
:D

Pogiforce-14 January 30th, 2005 3:00 PM

I'm not saying it's bad. I'm saying the probability of pulling it exactly when you want it isn't that high. You have to develope it over time and play it carefully to prevent screwing it up.

u haven't calculated in the fact that the deck ususes mostly 3 copies of ever support card it needs..ands even if you don't get what you need there is a way to get what you need =/
that is why the deck works =/

Pogiforce-14 January 30th, 2005 3:30 PM

three copies merely means your chances of getting three of the same card are jsut as equal as getting what you need.

You look to much on the positive side. You need to be less idealistic and more realistic so you can prepare yourself, or your sure to lose.

Mullet January 30th, 2005 3:41 PM

The gut that used that combo in the tourny, got it almost every time, and I watched him, and he didn't cheat.

Anyway, I posted the deck to anyone who wants to take a look at it, that is my Catapult Lanch deck, and all of the other cards other than the main ones, are my ideas, I have two Solem Wishes insted of the one copy I saw used the deck the guy used, because 2 will build up your LPs faster. Feel free to copy it, and try it out, but just know that it was my idea.
:P

Pogiforce-14 January 30th, 2005 3:52 PM

some is hungry for attention, isn't he? :\ Then that guy knew how to build it apparently. Completely around that one strategy. But looking at how you built it, it woudl take some time before you get what you want.

Mullet January 30th, 2005 4:00 PM

I built it to stall, and I have just the same chance as he did to draw it on the first turn, I was being original, and had a lot of cards to gain LPs, so I could make sure I had enough points to use the Scientist's effect enough times.

Plus my name is cool, clever, and original.
:P

MasterSimon January 30th, 2005 4:05 PM

sorry to say it but i think my version of the deck would work a lot better than yours...mine is the kind that gets FTK a lot =/
Poji as u saw in mine it would use the less useful cards to exchange for an effect of a more useful card so it was like i had multipule copties of each card =/
that is how the deck works it uses the most benificial effect at the right time inorder to case the combo for the win (the combo being MS and CT)

Pogiforce-14 January 30th, 2005 4:08 PM

I get ya. Though it is still a good idea to have some defensive traps incase they play a counter measure.
