okay... so there's a background for your banner! time to add a pic! now, take any pic you want... as long as you can erase all the white in it. then take out your magic eraser. (hold on the eraser button until the background eraser and magic eraser options show up) and then, click on the white. it disappears. there's still some white on the pic, so take out your normal eraser and erase.

Stevo-kun February 1st, 2005 5:14 PM

Ok I have done that XD.

How about you get a mod to change this to the Photoshop Academy and you will run it and I will start the PSP Acedemy? That way we dont get lessons mixed up in different programs.

Sawyer February 1st, 2005 5:27 PM

hmm... maybe, if you want, i'll see.
EDIT: oh, and as for Stevo, let's see... i'm sure you know how to do text XD now, wanna learn how to do grunges?

Stevo-kun February 1st, 2005 5:29 PM

Ok I am ready for the next step XD ^^;

EDIT: Do I do the grunge before I put the pic on the sig?

Pokemon_Veteran

Sawyer February 1st, 2005 5:31 PM

hmm... well, text is pretty easy. :\ do you wanna do grunges or celestials now?
EDIT: ****it Stevo, stop editting! XD okay, the grunge goes on BEFORE you put the pic on... so that the pic doesn't get brushed. OR, you can click on the layer that the bg's on, so that the pic isn't effected.

Stevo-kun February 1st, 2005 5:32 PM

Yeah sure ^^. But you might need to remind me about the text *forgets things easily half the time*

Stevo, i think i'll continue teaching you tomorrow... i'm kinda tired now, for some reason. btw, i'm thinking of adding a tuition fee... in rep. what do you guys think?

Stevo-kun February 1st, 2005 5:42 PM

Well it depends on the rate lol.

Pokemon_Veteran

Sawyer February 1st, 2005 5:44 PM

well i mean... you give me rep once a week per person... cause this is actually hard work, believe it or not.

Stevo-kun February 1st, 2005 5:46 PM

Well that shouldn't be that hard.

But it would be helpful if you post the next step tonight ^^;. But if you can't I will wait ^^.

Pokemon_Veteran

Sawyer February 1st, 2005 5:51 PM

i can post it tonight... so wait, did you do the text and stuff yet? well, if so, the basic banner is done. grungey time! now, create a new document, 400x110. set your colors to default, black for foreground, white for background. go to Filter>Render>Clouds. the next step is EASY. go to http://veredgf.fredfarm.com/vbrush/thearchives2.html and download any of their brushes. i suggest 3 of the Random Mess ones. to load them into PS, click the download button, open up PS, and where you see the Brushes thing, click it, and click the black arrow. scroll down until you see a Load Brushes button. then, load them. now, just brush everywhere until you think it looks like a grunge like mine. XD when you're done with that, go to your usual hosting site, and host the pic. (make sure the filetype is png, bmp, gif, or jpg. i wouldn't do a jpg tho, cause they make the pic blurry)

Stevo-kun February 1st, 2005 5:55 PM

But you forgot to say how I put the pic onto the sig XD. Sorry if I am irritating you ^^;

Pokemon_Veteran

Sawyer February 1st, 2005 5:58 PM

for the grunges, you don't really need a pic. a lot of mine don't. :\

Stevo-kun February 1st, 2005 5:59 PM

Well if you want a pic on it how do you put it on.

I would like to learn rendering anyone willing?

Sawyer February 1st, 2005 6:02 PM

if you want renders, katty and i are your men/women. XD as for Stevo, putting a pic on is easy. you download the pic to your desktop, and move the pic into PS. then, take out your rectangular marquee tool and select the whole document. then select the move tool and move it into your document. there's easier ways, but i use a mac, so i don't know.

WolfWood February 1st, 2005 7:51 PM

Hey AC I could be a teacher if you needed another one.

Sawyer February 1st, 2005 8:32 PM

sure WolfWood! you're really good at renders and stuff, so i'm sure you'll do well!

Stevo-kun February 1st, 2005 8:35 PM

Well I finished off that sig thing and I have new brushes so when you are ready you can teach me how to do Avatars if ya want ^^;

Pokemon_Veteran

Sawyer February 1st, 2005 8:38 PM

avatars? okay, avatars are pretty much the same thing, only it's a different size. i suggest 100x100 or 110x110. just do what you did on the banner, and for the pic, try to focus on the face.

WolfWood February 1st, 2005 8:45 PM

Ok so I can help out on pretty much anything my speciality is renders and brushing.
