Chiisaki Mono - Asuca Hayashi
This OST of one of Pokemon movies is epic. |
"Arise Again" - Soulfly
I think I've found the perfect song to listen to after reading the American Politics thread. "People like you just fuel my hate." |
Weezer - Tired of sex
Reminds me of Friday I'm in love by The Cure mixed with a pixies song. |
As I Lay Dying - A Greater Foundation I'm beginning to like metal more and more. [: |
Nikola Tesla won this one. |
Ekotren - Blackened Sky There's no real reasoning. I'm listening to one of my playlists and it came on. My friend showed me this song the day it was released and I loved it. |
Illuvial - Chorcoal
Some more of the D&B that I've been discovering on HD Nexus' channel nowadays, listening to it at night just takes my mind into oblivion and I love it. |
"Strike Down" - Persuader
Wow, this rules. I need more of these guys. |
I love TDCC, although Tourist History is a lot better than Beacon imo. |
Augustana - Boston Alternative Rock. Also, the Fray. This song is kind of old, but that doesn't mean its not good. |
And now we head over to Death Cab for Cutie. :) |
"So what shall it be? Do you join the Unity...or do you die here? JOIN. DIE. JOIN. DIE." |
Foster The People - Houdini
Torches (2011) The first Foster the people song I heard and my most played song by them. |
Quote:
Right now, listening to some Day and Age by The Killers. One of the best songs from The Killers imo, I really love this song, even if the videos really odd. |
Linkin Park – Runaway
Hybrid Theory (2000) A pretty good song from their best album imo. |
Got myself a copy of Sakanaction's new album... sakanaction. They are probably my favorite band. So pretty, so energetic, so much fun.
I've been listening to the song "Aoi" a whole bunch, but sadly that doesn't seem to exist on the internet at the moment so here is another song from the album. |
"Resurrection Of The Wild" - Windir
Well, here's another black metal artist that's caught my ear. Too bad they broke up almost 10 years ago due to their vocalist dying. |
Radiohead - The Bends
The Bends (1995) Good guitar but bad lyrics (but I think they are meant to be bad). |
Ellie Goulding - Starry Eyed I was never a fan of her voice when I first heard this but it did grow on me. |
Right now it's Time Flies by Porcupine Tree. Even to this day I still can't get enough of this particular song.
|
Groove Armada - Paper Romance Some nice stuff from what turned out to be their final album, Black Light. |
The Classic Crime - Painted Dreams
I kind of stop listening to this album in the middle and I'm just now finishing it. Still really good though. |
Blur - Coffee & TV In my opinion, one of the better Blur songs out there that's a must-listen. And I love that animated milk guy too, it added some nice uniqueness to this song. |
"Pocketful of Sunshine" ─ Natasha Bedingfield
"Blah! Worst song ever," said Emma Stone in her role on Easy A. Of course, for anyone who saw that movie, she just couldn't stop playing it over and over and over again...until the card just died. Haha! It's definitely a great song and I love Natasha Bedingfield's voice. Come to think of it, I don't remember ever watching the music video for it. I think I'll do that now. |
"Everything Remains As It Never Was" - Eluveitie
Gotta love folk metal. "I'm in a metal band!" "That's cool! What instrument do you play?" "THE FLUTE!!!!!" |
Lindsey Stirling and Pentatonix's cover of Radioactive by Imagine Dragons I love this cover more than the actual song. :3 It's soooooo good, and Lindsey is brilliant with her violin. Pentatonix's harmonies are also amazing. :D |
Talking Heads - Once in a Lifetime
The first Talking Heads song I heard. |
Chromeo - Don't Turn The Lights On This not all that bad of a song, but I didn't really like the rest of their stuff other than this. |
The Devil's Contract by The Plot In You
Disclaimer! This band is extremely angry, many songs revolve around the thought of homicide and violence. Listen at own risk. |
Fall Out Boy - My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up) A really great and catchy song that I'm glad Fall Out Boy made a comeback with. |
"Metropolis Pt. 1: The Miracle and The Sleeper" - Dream Theater
Without a doubt the best song on Images and Words. And Myung's bass solo was just orgasmic. Lyric below: Spoiler:
|
You Don't Understand Me by The Raconteurs.
I love this song! Brendan Benson's singing and Jack White on the solo, They're just awesome. |
Ron Jarzombek is a musical mastermind. |
Radiohead - Airbag
One of his songs about how he hates cars and he is glad a airbag saved his life. |
Dance All Night by The Dirty Heads ft. Matisyahu.
I've been listening to this song since sunday, I can believe it, it's too catchy. |
Kaiser Chiefs – I Predict A Riot
Employment (2005) Their most catchy song to me. |
Soft Cell - Tainted Love This version totally trounces over Marilyn Manson anyday, originals are da best when it comes to songs that get covers. |
Mirrors - Justin Timberlake
Normally not my style of song. I'm much more into indie, rock and punk, but this song is just catchy and I love it. Never limit yourself to just one genre, eh? |
Owl City & Yuna - Shine Your Way
I heard form someone there was a new Owl City song so I had to listen to it. It's on the soundtrack for the movie The Croods apparently. Half way into listening to it (mainly since Youtube lagging >.> ) and it's not bad. Kind of what you expect form Owl City. I liked "When Can I See You Again" better though. I never heard of Yuna, but her voice really compliments the song well. Love some of the violin and keys in the song, those parts are beautiful. |
Muse - Starlight One of the few Muse songs that I did not get bored of too quickly. |
Twista - Overnight Celebrity I'm on Skype with my love interest and she asked me if people have the capacity to change overnight so now I've got this on repeat. |
Quote:
Dire Straits - The Man's Too Strong Brothers in Arms (1985) I love how the guitar changes style a bit. |
Ricky Martin - Livin' La Vida Loca He's joining The Voice Australia as a new coach, replacing Keith Urban. |
twenty one pilots- Car Radio
This band is so unique to me. I love how they combine pop with rap, indie , electronic and alternative cause it makes for an interesting combination that in my opinion. Tyler can really thrown down a great rap as shown in this song and it's really poetic. This song is rather beautiful in my opinion. Vessel is living up to be one of my favorite albums of 2013 so far and they're one of the best artists to make a major label debut this year. |
Martin Solveig - Big In Japan (feat. Dragonette & Idoling) I have a total addiction to dance music, and he certainly fits that genre! I also love the cute voice that is Dragonette, even I though I think she and Martin have collab'd too much. |
"Rio Grande Blood" - Ministry
Anything that lambasts George W. Bush gets props in my book. So does anything that lambasts Obama. |
Cut Copy - Far Away A dance-music outfit from Melbourne, I love most of their catchy tunes. |
Phoenix - Entertainment I heard this song on the radio today not knowing it was Phoenix until I checked the station's website. Makes me really excited for their new album. I feel in love with these guy's last album ,Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix , which has their biggest known song , "1901", on it back in 2009. I'm already in love with this song so their new album seems promising. |
Madonna - Die Another Day The song released alongside the James Bond film of the same name. |
The Strokes – Chances
Comedown Machine (2013) I'm not sure if CM is better then angels or not. |
Jonathan Boulet - A Community Service Announcement A guy from Sydney like I am, who you may have never heard unless if you're an Australian who regularly listens to triple j. |
The Velourium Camper II: Backend of Forever - Coheed and Cambria
This song is probably my favorite in their "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3" album to be honest. I don't know why I like it so much but I've been listening to it repeatedly. |
David Bowie – Ziggy Stardust
The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars (1972) A song about how Ziggy played guitar in the band. |
Canyons - My Rescue Another one you may not know unless if you are Australian and listen to triple j. I loved the nice vocals and the clip. And they're from Perth/Sydney btw. |
"Explosia" - Gojira
I now have something else besides Rémi Gaillard to make me forgive France. |
Janet Jackson - All For You Some old-school Janet I used to love back when I heard it. |
New Order - Blue Monday
I'm not sure if I like NO or Joy Division more. |
Architecture In Helsinki - W.O.W. More Australian stuff, and the dolphin is a neat touch. This is a bit different to most of their songs since they usually tend to do upbeat stuff as opposed to slow songs like this. |
My Chemical Romance - "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)
Recently yesterday, they announced they were breaking up. This band has impacted me a ton and gave me a second family (as explained in my blog.) so they really meant a lot to me. Thought I go through and listen to their songs tonight. |
Linkin Park - In The End One of my fave songs from them, along with What I've Done. |
My Chemical Romance - SING Still Marathoning MCR cause of the news of the break-up. They will be missed by me so much. |
The Spice Girls - Viva Forever I was a big fan of their music, and I loved how they were depicted as fairies in this clip. |
Talking Heads - Once in a lifetime Been stuck in my head for most of this week. |
The Streets - Without Thinking He may have retired from music after the album this song came off (Computers and Blues) but he has a very unique voice compared to most hip-hoppers. I didn't even know he was a single person and not a band. |
Gorillaz – Feel Good Inc.
The second Damon song I heard and the first Gorillaz song I heard. |
Delphic - Doubt These guys are from Manchester, in the UK and this clip just looks so stunning! |
Gorillaz - Fire Coming Out of the Monkey's Head
Demon Days (2005) Mostly just some talking about a monkey and some singing. |
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Zero I know how famous they are but I actually haven't listened to much of their music lol. |
Coheed and Cambria - The Running Free Coheed and Cambria is one of my favorite bands to be honest. |
Metronomy - A Thing For Me I had no idea who these guys were when I first heard this. |
Goo Goo Dolls - Iris
Their most played song but I always forget the lyrics and end up getting slide in my head. |
The Pussycat Dolls - Stickwitu I wasn't really a fan of this girl group but this song is alright though. |
Nobody knew who fired the first missile that triggered the apocalypse. At the end of the day...no one cared. |
Savage Garden - I Want You
Savage Garden (1997) I have always found this song kinda weird and pointless. |
The Cure - Friday I'm In Love Until someone at school told me about them, I had absolutely no idea who The Cure were. I even used to hate lead singer Robert Smith at one point because of his "emo" look. |
Walk The Moon - I Can Lift A car
Walk The Moon (2012) Seems a bit slow compared to the rest for most of the song. |
ABBA - Mamma Mia Definitely one of most successful Eurovision winners to date, I still adore their music and all. |
My favourite classical music, Pachelbel's canon. And I am not that musical kind of person, but I am in love with this song/piece of music/whateveryoucallit. |
Groove Armada - My Friend One of my fave old-school GA songs. |
The Way - Ariana Grande feat. Mac Miller
I got a bad boy, just admit it. You got my heart, don't know how you did it. New on iTunes today! <3 Everyone should get out and enjoy it. :) Explains my recent avatar change, I'm sure haha. |
"Thowin' Down" - Psychostick
If this song reminds you of your girlfriend, dump her. |
Atm it's Big O - Brick Ballades (Rainy Mood Mix) that I'm listening to. Pretty relaxing especially after getting out of the shower in the night.
|
I've been getting into Rudimental after hearing 'Not giving in' on the radio. 'Feel the love' was also a good track, their recent release 'Waiting all night' also impressed me. I'm eagerly awaiting their new album 'Home' which launches sometime around the end of April on the Itunes store.
Not Giving In - Rudimental feat. John Newman & Alex Clare |
Family Force 5- Cray Button (Feat. Lecrae. ) I prefer the version without Lecrae more, but I still love this version and just this band as a whole. Though I love the music video cause it has Meekakitty in it. :D |
Blur - Bugman
13 (1999) Really shocking from a band which relesed a really poppy song about a house in the country 4 years before this. |
Blur- Girls and Boys
Since Tyler suggested I should listen to Blur more and such. >.< I thought "Song 2" was the only song of theirs I knew. But this happens to be one I know cause the alternative station here plays it during their "Way back at 5" feature they have every weekday at 5pm have which is where they play songs from the 90s and 80s. |
Man, if there is any album that gets me in an incredible mood it's On Letting Go. When I hear this song, among most of the rest, I just can't help but get dancing and singing. Needless to say I've been listening to this album all morning and soon the entire day. This happens a lot. Such a powerful record.
|
Basement Jaxx - My Turn One of the more unnoticed songs by BJ you'd forget it even existed. The clip is very bright and beautiful to make up for that. |
The Avalanches - Frontier Psychiatrist Since I Left You (2000) The best song by this aussie band and the song the album leads up to. |
Netsky- Come Alive
I got some new earbuds today, so what better way to break them in and test them out but with some drum and bass/dubstep. |
Coldplay - God Put A Smile Upon Your Face I admit I liked their old stuff better, basically anything from their last two albums (Viva La Vida and Mylo Xyloto) never piqued my interest. |
The Cave - Mumford and Sons (Sigh No More)
It's empty in the valley of your heart, the sun it rises slowly as you walk Awesome song from an awesome band. If you haven't heard it, you need to change that. And I love to sing it. Songs are infinitely better when I can sing them and just can't stop. |
Novaspace - Time After Time One of many covers of the song made famous by Cyndi Lauper. |
Walk The Moon - Anna Sun
This was one of the songs I was gonna put on my top 10 songs of 2012 list but forgot to. It's one of those really songs that just got to me in early 2012 and is now convincing me to listen to more Walk The Moon. |
Five Little Rooms - Menomena (Mines)
All this could be yours...someday. A very dark, ambient song, but it's really, really good. There's even a baritone sax in there, which is awesome. I'm a bit biased cause the bari is my ish. lol The piano is also lovely in this song too. If you like dark toned songs and different lyrics, then this is for you. I didn't quote the weird lyrics from the song, but just listen and you'll know what I mean. |
DJ Otzi - Hey Baby Some old-school stuff from 2001. |
Coldplay - Cemeteries of London
Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008) A song about witches drownings in London. |
Anberlin - Closer
Anberlin's is definitely one of my favorite bands. Thy make good, clean and genuine rock. |
Sam And The Womp - Bom Bom This song is now even being used in the latest K-Mart commercials in Australia. |
"Kind Hearted Light" - Masterplan
Another stand out band I've discovered with Spotify. Awesome power metal. |
