Movie - "Pokemon: Lucario et le Mystere de Mew" (Lucario and the Mystery of Mew) the French dub.
(DVD on my laptop - and my cat had to sit on the chair the entire time, so I had to sit on my bed, luckily for me I'm able to pet my feline throughout most of the movie)

La Grande Belleza

The title says it all.

10/10

E.T. The Extra Terrestrial

Still fresh after 1982.

Just got back from seeing Nonstop. Good flick.

Orogenes March 3rd, 2014 12:06 AM

"The Cat Returns" by studio Ghibli. The movie is enjoyable enough but it lacked that superb animation that is the Ghibli trademark. It's a shame since I really love "Whisper of the Heart" and would have liked to see a good pseudo sequel...

Date night

Seriously the only thing that made me watch this movie is Steve Carrell. And omg, Mila Kunis was in it too! ♥

Oh, and Tina Fey is gorgeous for her age too :3

Saw Nebraska the other day. It was nominated for a couple Academy Awards I believe, but I didn't think it was that good. Interesting concept and I can understand why it was critically acclaimed, it was just more of a journey than entertaining.

The Passion of the Christ

10/10

The Lion King

Overused but some great animation and music.

Just finished watching How to Train Your Dragon yesterday. People said it is an amazing movie, and it really was; I loved it. :p Hopefully, I might watch it again at some point in the future.

antemortem March 8th, 2014 4:22 PM

I actually just watched How to Train Your Dragon, too, and am watching Brothers right now. It's that one with Jake Gyllenhaal and Toby McGuire in which McGuire is presumed dead in Afghanistan and his wife and brother grieve. Or something. I'm only a few minutes into it.

Police Academy 3 - Back in Training

all the Police Academy movies I love, it's my 4th favorite from the franchise. Hours of laughter, and Bobcat Goldwaith (played Zed), Steve Guttenberg (played Carey Mahoney), Tim Kazurinsky (played Sweetchuck) and Bubba Smith (played Moses Hightower) just make me laugh the most.

Fight Club

Haven't watched it in forever, figured I needed a dose tonight.

Saw Pompeii in theater. Not too bad of a movie, although as one can imagine, the ending was quite predictable. Lots of sword fighting and combat, which was unexpected.

Nolafus March 8th, 2014 10:17 PM

I just got done watching "Gravity".

It was an interesting concept, but I felt like it was poorly written. I don't think there was enough content to create a full-fledged movie, so to make up for it, they dragged out every scene for as long as they could. I almost walked out on it halfway through I got so bored. I wasn't very attached to any of the characters, and I found Ryan to be annoying.

I can see why people liked it, the visuals and acting were fantastic, but it's just not the movie for me.

Independance Day

Very awesome movie and nice performance by Jeff Goldblum and Will Smith. One of my favorite alien invasion and summer blockbuster movie :)

Non Stop

Suuuuch a great thriller, mystery and action! Definitely a recommended movie to watch! The plot twist are amazing and the movie will always keep you guessing until the end!

Talon March 11th, 2014 6:50 PM

Evil Dead. The new one. 11/10. 6 stars. It was great. The only problem I had with it was that it was scary af. It mixed in all of the elements that make great horror movies. It had slasher, psychological, and visual elements that made it horrifying.

mikey March 11th, 2014 7:09 PM

I recently watched Side Effects on Netflix. I've been interested in watching it for awhile now.

It was alright. A little confusing, a movie you kind of should watch more than once because you will most likely miss something when you first watch it. Overall, it was a nice psychological film. I'd give it a 8/10.

spazgod March 12th, 2014 7:53 AM

Had a movie day recently. Watched 300, MIB and MIB2, Captian America, and a few others that I cant recall.

Bellsprout March 12th, 2014 11:39 AM

I saw The Monuments Men and for most of the movie I wasn't really paying attention for various reasons, but for what I did pay attention to I didn't really like. It was corny to me and the person I went with thought so too and I'm pretty sure he paid more attention so it's a def corny movie

pyx March 12th, 2014 12:09 PM

mr.nobody was the last movie I watched. I´m more into the "omg my whole perception of reality has changed!"-type of movies and mr.nobody really managed to do just that. I really do recommend it! ;D

Raine March 12th, 2014 6:21 PM

Since most of my friends either don't like the Hunger Games franchise or have already watched it, I unfortunately had to stream it OTL Felt bad for doing that, but I really wanted to watch Catching Fire D:

Karma Police March 13th, 2014 5:41 AM

I actually watched a bunch of movies altogether. Last one I watched was Ferris Bueller's Day Off. It was good, a bit along the lines of something like Home Alone, and it had plenty of funny moments to keep it going. 7.5/10.

Also saw Black Swan, and it was definitely one of the most f***ed up movies I've ever seen. It had a very creepy atmosphere, but also felt disjointed at times. I'd give it 8.5/10/

Watched a movie in class, which is rare because, college.

It was called Big Shot's Funeral (大腕, "Da Wan"). It was half in Chinese, half in English. Donald Sutherland was in it (President Snow from Hunger Games), and it was the funniest "foreign" film I've ever seen. The acting was a bit stale, but the content was pretty interesting and comedic.

Hikamaru March 14th, 2014 3:17 AM

Jumper

One of those "stereotypical" time-travel themed movies, this one's got Hayden Christensen in it. Still, it looks kinda generic for one of those kinds of movies in my opinion.
