Who still has theirs?
I recently got a copy of Pokemon Silver, changed the battery, and started playing it again. I wanna know if anyone else still has a real cartridge version of gold, silver, or crystal. And why do you still have it?
I have Silver in German, useless cos I dont understand anything :L
I have a copy of crystal sitting in my top drawer but I do not have copies of the others one though.
I wish I could find them, the only one of the gameboy games I can seem to find is Blue, which is annoying as Red is the one with my original save data still on them. As for Gold and Silver I can't find them either...
I still have all the six carts from my early teens (all French versions) . A few months back I replaced their batteries, so now they are in perfect working condition :) .
Ah Gold. My first Pokémon Game. Yeah I still have that. Why do I have that? To see my first Umbreon! : )
Even though I haven't played them in ages, I still have silver and crystal on a shelf in my closet. I'm not sure if they still work but they're definitely there.
I have Crystal, I bought it last year, it had new batteries and everything.
Yeah, I've still got my original Gold cartridge. I just turned it on, and my save's still there, so at least the battery's still working on it (for how much longer, though, is the question).
I have all three of mine. I collect the main series games, so if I was missing one, I'd throw a fit. I recently had my Silver's battery replaced since it died last year, and the other two are still in working order as well. :)
I recently bought a copy of Crystal version. So happy I did. Something about playing it on an emulator just never felt right. I did own a copy way back in the day, but I don't really remember what happened to it.
I have Crystal Version with a replaced battery, I had Gold Version with a replaced battery but I tried to replace the battery again to use that one for Crystal, and ended up breaking the tab that secures the battery because I was tinkering around changing the battery too much :\ |
I have Gold with a working save battery and Silver with...deadness. It originally had a dead battery and I tried to replace it but I somehow broke it and it does not work at all. I wish they lasted forever.
I have Silver Version. It's a good game, and I want to play it on my SP.
I only have the cartridge for Silver...
But i bet i have more games somewhere in my room. |
I have Gold and Silver both working completely fine. I've actually had them for years now. MANY years.
Dang, I should go play those again... |
I have Silver but since I would not be great at replacing the internal battery, and don't know anyone who is, I can't play it right now but I will keep it in case the battery can get replaced safely
still have, and regulaly play Yellow, Silver and Crystal. Trying to beat the stadiums on N64 atm, so lots of level 100 grinding. I forgot how much i hate batteries!
I still have my gold and my crystal game. Why? no idea, I can't get rid of them due for nostalgic reasons I guess. I don't play them anymore but can't throw them away yet either.
haha i have pokemon crystal, working perfectly fine ^-^
Nope, I don't have my Silver anymore :( I let a friend borrow it, since it was one of the games he'd never tried, and I wouldn't deny him the opportunity to try it, even though he'd probably seen me play it like a million times, since Pokemon was all the craze back then. I still had the other 3 generations to play in, so I didn't really mind not being able to access Johto for a while. However, that turned out to be a grave mistake. Turned out he lost it shortly after, and it hasn't been found yet (if it was ever even lost at all). The second generation is probably my favourite generation, and the generation of games I've played the most of next to Kanto (only because I'm counting the remakes as well), so I was absolutely devastated. Oh well, I would've probably ended up giving it away anyways, since I'd done the same thing with the rest of my GBA games, including Blue.
I still have my original Silver cartridge, but unfortunately I think one of my siblings erased my save file on it...
I still have my gold and crystal cardridges. I don't know if they are still working, but whatever. At least I got 250/251 in gold back in the days and also I have Soulsilver, so they can rest in peace. Yeah I don't want to fire them up to only realize, the battery has run dry xD
Well maybe some later time... |
I still have my original cartriges of Gold, Silver, and Crystal, and still play Crystal (my first pokemon game ever) :3 It appeases my sentimental disposition.
I got crystal as a kid still have it. Heck, the original battery and my old save even work.
I still have my Pokemon Crystal cartridge. Although I don't play it since I emulate it instead, I still try to keep the game in good condition because it has given me many memories during elementary school (in college now). I have, in the form of an actual cartridge, at least 1 version of each generation. I'm not a collector or anything but these are what I bought when they first came out and afterwords I just keep them in a memory box thingy under my bed lol.
I've still got all my original R,Y,B and G,S,C games. I'm now buying the boxes, inserts and manuals off ebay to complete them. I love my collection :)
i still have my crystal version(First one ever played)! best one by far because it has most adventure, in my opinion.
and i got mew :3 legitimately caught thanks to Nintendo events. |
Yes, I still have them all. Gold, Silver and Crystal.
When the battery died in them, I bought new ones because I thought they were faulty. I know own two versions of each one. I don't regret it though. I shall take them to the grave! |
I have sapphire. Any game before that, I never played.
I have two Gold cartridges and a Crystal. I had Silver, but I lost it somewhere! :(
I do believe I still have my Crystal's cartridge somewhere in my house. It's gotten quite wonky since the last time I played it - my bag's key items always got corrupted and everything will disappear everytime I get to Goldenrod City, and then my save file will get corrupted soon after. :c I haven't seen that thing for quite a long time.. I doubt it even works anymore.
I still have my Gold version though it's all glitchy and the battery's dead. :( Technically I never had Crystal but in a way I used to. My friend let me borrow his copy just so I could get him past Burnt Tower and Ruins of Alph. He was terrified of the music in those place...for some reason. Then when I got past those point in the game he just told me I can keep it for a bit longer until I beat the Elite Four. I ended up giving it back to him four years later with a glitch where it was always Wednesday at 12:37pm. XD So I never had a copy of my own but hopefully I eventually buy one of my own. :)
I know where my Silver and my Crystal still are. As for my Gold version I had last saw it under my dresser but has disappeared since. Alas, I can be completely certain that it is not there anymore or anywhere in my room due to recent changes so I suppose it's gone forever.
I don't have these anymore. When my cousin gave me a cartridge of Silver(i think), i was busy with Leaf Green and lost it. Which remembers me that i should emulate it.
I have Silver and Crystal. I never got Gold but i would rather have Gold than Silver. Just like how I have Blue and Yellow but i would rather have Red than Blue. Yellow and Crystal are my faves. :t245: :t025:
I still have my Silver! I'm sure it still works because the last time I tried it, it still worked. I'm still keeping it for nostalgia, and collection purposes. :)
I have all. Crystal, Gold, and 2 Silver (the original one and new one)
Well I kept them because one day I might be bored and take an adventure and stuff ;3 |
I still have both my Gold and Silver, although neither of them work anymore :c
I had a Crystal version, but I lost it! I can't find it anywhere. Hopefully it is in my house somewhere, but I have been looking for years. If I really did lose it forever, I would be really upset. |
I have always had two Gold for like forever and I managed to track down all the others too. They remain some of my favourite games today.
I still have Pokemon Silver, and yes, it still works perfectly fine in terms of it's internal battery. I just hope it won't die out one day. Like what happened with my Red T_T
Now, why would I part with one of my pokemon games? Especially gold, silver or crystal?
EDIT: I recently had to change the battery in gold and crystal, and almost 2 years ago I had to change my silver battery. I have another copy of silver with the battery still working. |
I don't have ANY of my old games except for TWO Crystal cartridges.
... I seriously have no idea where the second one came from. |
I still have my Gold, Silver, and Crystal. I've already checked the first two and their batteries have died. I had junk Pokemon there since I traded my good Pokemon to the Stadium 2 game pak or to Crystal. I am reluctant to check Crystal because I kinda want the memories to go on forever. I know I would be devastated if I confirm that the battery died. Crystal has its original save file - never did a new game on it.
My Gold and Crystal have corrupted save files - Gold won't even start to play and I'm pretty sure Crystal's save file deleted itself. I haven't checked because it's pretty sad, I really loved those games. :P
I have Yellow still, but I've never gotten past Brock. By the time it takes me to catch something and grind it up to be able to beat him, I'd have to put the game down to go do something else, and I've learned that the save file only actually saves about half the time. The game freezes every time I bump the DS. Yikes. Oh well. =/ |
I ahve my Gold.
Found it lost in the attic, got it, started new game and started playing, then the Battery died. I was too late. But hey, my Girlfriend is trying to fix it, and then I'll do it all again. :I |
I still have my Crystal Version, working perfectly fine with the same file I had when I first played it :)
Yup.
My Crystal even saves. |
I was lucky to have found my catridge of Silver about a week ago. I'm sure the battery must need changing though lol.
I still have my original cartridge of Crystal somewhere. I think my sister is using it now. I recently bought a Silver version and I'm really happy, because I lost my original when I moved about 4 years or so ago.
well this is most of my old games me and my bro always get dif versions =P

I still have my Blue, Yellow, and Gold cartridges. We use to have a Crystal version until my brother traded it for Silver version.
I had Gold until one of my friends stole it a few years ago. I would like to get another one, but they have gone up in price a lot in the last few years.
I still have all of my original Pokemon games except for Pokemon Crystal version because a bunch of bubbles ruined the cartridge while I was in the 5th grade and I had to wait all summer to buy a new one :(
I was thinking of taking my friend's advice by buying the original boxes of the games, but that cost too much money and I will do that when I make a lot of money. :t354:TG |
