Who still has theirs?

I recently got a copy of Pokemon Silver, changed the battery, and started playing it again. I wanna know if anyone else still has a real cartridge version of gold, silver, or crystal. And why do you still have it?

Guardian March 12th, 2013 9:23 AM

I have Silver in German, useless cos I dont understand anything :L

Kikaito plush March 12th, 2013 9:51 AM

I have a copy of crystal sitting in my top drawer but I do not have copies of the others one though.

TheCartoonLoon March 12th, 2013 12:16 PM

I wish I could find them, the only one of the gameboy games I can seem to find is Blue, which is annoying as Red is the one with my original save data still on them. As for Gold and Silver I can't find them either...

SaniOKh March 12th, 2013 12:46 PM

I still have all the six carts from my early teens (all French versions) . A few months back I replaced their batteries, so now they are in perfect working condition :) .

Affliction March 12th, 2013 12:47 PM

Ah Gold. My first Pokémon Game. Yeah I still have that. Why do I have that? To see my first Umbreon! : )

B-L-A-Z-E March 12th, 2013 2:38 PM

Even though I haven't played them in ages, I still have silver and crystal on a shelf in my closet. I'm not sure if they still work but they're definitely there.

SoulSilver10112 March 12th, 2013 6:15 PM

I have Crystal, I bought it last year, it had new batteries and everything.

Brendino March 12th, 2013 7:59 PM

Yeah, I've still got my original Gold cartridge. I just turned it on, and my save's still there, so at least the battery's still working on it (for how much longer, though, is the question).

Sydian March 12th, 2013 8:43 PM

I have all three of mine. I collect the main series games, so if I was missing one, I'd throw a fit. I recently had my Silver's battery replaced since it died last year, and the other two are still in working order as well. :)

Necrum March 13th, 2013 1:46 PM

I recently bought a copy of Crystal version. So happy I did. Something about playing it on an emulator just never felt right. I did own a copy way back in the day, but I don't really remember what happened to it.

Bounsweet March 13th, 2013 1:56 PM

I have Crystal Version with a replaced battery, I had Gold Version with a replaced battery but I tried to replace the battery again to use that one for Crystal, and ended up breaking the tab that secures the battery because I was tinkering around changing the battery too much :\

I've had all three at some point, though.

pokem0nprincess March 16th, 2013 5:28 PM

I have Gold with a working save battery and Silver with...deadness. It originally had a dead battery and I tried to replace it but I somehow broke it and it does not work at all. I wish they lasted forever.

PokemonTrainerC.White March 17th, 2013 10:50 AM

I have Silver Version. It's a good game, and I want to play it on my SP.

orangeralts21 March 17th, 2013 11:56 PM

I only have the cartridge for Silver...
But i bet i have more games somewhere in my room.

Golden Warrior March 18th, 2013 7:49 AM

I have Gold and Silver both working completely fine. I've actually had them for years now. MANY years.
Dang, I should go play those again...

Struggler March 18th, 2013 2:47 PM

I have Silver but since I would not be great at replacing the internal battery, and don't know anyone who is, I can't play it right now but I will keep it in case the battery can get replaced safely

Itstoppedatumbreon March 18th, 2013 3:16 PM

still have, and regulaly play Yellow, Silver and Crystal. Trying to beat the stadiums on N64 atm, so lots of level 100 grinding. I forgot how much i hate batteries!

Tim! March 25th, 2013 7:55 AM

I still have my gold and my crystal game. Why? no idea, I can't get rid of them due for nostalgic reasons I guess. I don't play them anymore but can't throw them away yet either.

DRAGONxONE March 25th, 2013 9:59 AM

haha i have pokemon crystal, working perfectly fine ^-^

Olli March 30th, 2013 1:46 PM

Nope, I don't have my Silver anymore :( I let a friend borrow it, since it was one of the games he'd never tried, and I wouldn't deny him the opportunity to try it, even though he'd probably seen me play it like a million times, since Pokemon was all the craze back then. I still had the other 3 generations to play in, so I didn't really mind not being able to access Johto for a while. However, that turned out to be a grave mistake. Turned out he lost it shortly after, and it hasn't been found yet (if it was ever even lost at all). The second generation is probably my favourite generation, and the generation of games I've played the most of next to Kanto (only because I'm counting the remakes as well), so I was absolutely devastated. Oh well, I would've probably ended up giving it away anyways, since I'd done the same thing with the rest of my GBA games, including Blue.

Magykx March 30th, 2013 1:51 PM

I still have my original Silver cartridge, but unfortunately I think one of my siblings erased my save file on it...

Megan March 30th, 2013 1:58 PM

I still have my gold and crystal cardridges. I don't know if they are still working, but whatever. At least I got 250/251 in gold back in the days and also I have Soulsilver, so they can rest in peace. Yeah I don't want to fire them up to only realize, the battery has run dry xD

Well maybe some later time...

epidemix18 March 30th, 2013 3:13 PM

I still have my original cartriges of Gold, Silver, and Crystal, and still play Crystal (my first pokemon game ever) :3 It appeases my sentimental disposition.

sab March 30th, 2013 5:22 PM

I got crystal as a kid still have it. Heck, the original battery and my old save even work.
