Might be getting relegated and losing our best players but at least we aren't Charlton. http://www.cafc.co.uk/news/article/statement-3009419.aspx

KorpiklaaniVodka March 18th, 2016 5:23 AM

This just in.

UCL Quarter-Finals:
Wolfsburg v Real Madrid
Bayern Munchen v Benfica
Barcelona v Atletico Madrid
PSG v Manchester City

UEL Quarter-Finals:
Braga v Shakhtar Donetsk
Villareal v Sparta Praha
Athletic Bilbao v Sevilla
Dortmund v Liverpool

If we beat Charlton and Hull which are our next two games then I'll be very confident we can do it whoever is in charge. Lose either of them and we will be looking very shaky.

Only you could lose to Charlton and then go and beat Hull....

Lipstick Vogue March 19th, 2016 6:44 AM

We've gone 442 today. Pretty spooky.

The phrase 'typical boro' exists amongst our supporters for this exact reason. Thank god we did beat them though, if we can beat QPR then we have some favourable fixtures but obviously it's us so we will somehow make them difficult.

Not looking too good for your lot, but at least it's against one of the better teams. Hopefully you don't give up two Kane hattricks in one season.

That Tyne-Wear draw might help us become the main force in North East football next year. I'm sure you're pretty happy with it too, LV.

Charlton's owners really have no PR ability whatsoever. I can see it all going the way of Blackpool.

Lipstick Vogue March 20th, 2016 9:06 AM

Weekend couldn't have gone much better for us. Can we end the season now?

Xherdan March 21st, 2016 7:38 AM

Alright, so uh Champions League... stuff.

Bayern vs. Benfica - I love both teams, but i want Bayern to win this one.
Barcelona vs. Atletico Madrid - I really hate Barcelona. I really do. I want Atletico to get the win.
Real vs. Wolfsburg - Real, obviously.
PSG vs. Man City - I really don't know, but i'm rooting for PSG.

Now for the Europa League things.

Dortmund vs. Liverklopp - I want Dortmund to win the Europa League, and that's it.
Villareal vs. Sparta Stronk - I want Sparta to win. I dislike almost all spanish teams.
Brah-gah vs. Shakhtar - I kind of want Braga in the semis. Dunno why.
This Team Should End vs. Sevilla - Sevilla all the way.

Lipstick Vogue March 23rd, 2016 3:53 AM

Looks like Lafferty is finally on his way to Sheffield Wednesday. Loan with a 1.5 million pound transfer in the summer apparently. If we go down I can't see Mbokani or Bamford staying so we'll only have 1 first team forward.

Eruption March 23rd, 2016 11:21 AM

That seems overly generous on Sheff Wed's part.

I don't think I care about European competitions this year. My only hope is Barcelona don't win the Champions League.

Lipstick Vogue March 23rd, 2016 11:27 AM

They took Hooper and a year of Turner's wages too. Hooper's not bad at that level but still. Probably pocket change for Chansiri.

Edit - Oh, he went to Brum.

Also, Adam Johnson to jail confirmed.

ojordi March 27th, 2016 5:54 AM

Just can't wait for UCL Quarter Finals , wish Barca will face Bayern in Semi Finals it will be amazing

Lipstick Vogue March 31st, 2016 5:20 AM

I'll care more about European competition in a few years when we're involved in them.

Already a bit nervous about Saturday's game. Haven't been like that since the playoff final. Newcastle are down their third choice keeper but we've usually been terrible at exploiting these kind of lifelines.

We do not speak of that game. :( Oh well, one more step towards making up for last year tonight.

Maybe Newcastle's third choice will be a surprise success like Elliot. They will get out of this relegation battle in an annoying lucky way soon enough.

Lipstick Vogue April 2nd, 2016 8:19 AM

Bloody hell.

Eruption April 2nd, 2016 11:45 AM

I've seen that phrase a lot from your fans today. First time I'll believe Newcastle are dead & buried.

KorpiklaaniVodka April 2nd, 2016 10:22 PM

Barcelona - Real Madrid 1-2.

School will be a laugh tomorrow, 99% of my students are Barça fans XD

In other news, Leicester won again 1-0! How I wish the season would just end now :D

Lipstick Vogue April 3rd, 2016 9:54 AM

That push for the Leicester goal though. Good to see they aren't letting the rules get in the way of a good fairytale.

Also everybody taking drugs. Bet Norwich aren't, that's why we're so shit.

Eruption April 6th, 2016 5:10 PM

Good result for City tonight despite that absolute gift from Fernando for PSG's first.

We're yet another step closer to promotion. Hopefully we can keep a run together so we can still make it without winning the two big games.

It'd be funny if Leicester were done for doping after winning the title. I do like the fairytale, but that would an even better story.

Banz April 7th, 2016 8:39 AM

Don't want to miss tonight's match vs Dortmund but I have to wake up early tomorrow.

Xherdan April 7th, 2016 9:39 AM

If Wolfsburg or Man City go to the semis, it'll be a blast. It probably will be easy for Real to overcome Wolfsburg's score at the Bernabeu, but let's see if Wolfsburg will play the same way they did on the 1st game. Also, Benfica is beastly. They were hindered by Vidal's early goal, but they kept on and played really well.

Kostas April 7th, 2016 9:57 AM

I don't think that Real is going to overcome wolfsburg's score.
This actually reminds me the game vs dortmund at the semi-finals of UCL.
I think that Real is going to win with a score of 1-0.
Also, Barcelona will have a difficult time at vicente calderon.
I really hope that Benfica will win because I don't like Bayern at all.
And last, About Paris saint germain VS Manchester city. I hope that Ibrahimovic or Cavani can do something in England because I hate Manchester city.

Banz April 7th, 2016 7:49 PM

Saw only the first half. Had Origi scored off the last chance, the match would have been sealed then and there. Anyways 1-1 is still a good return. If we can stop Dortmund from scoring or win outright, we will go through.

Lipstick Vogue April 8th, 2016 3:28 AM

>one of the best German teams can't even beat a mid-table English team on home turf

People honestly have the gall to to say The Bundesliga is superior.
