I didn't do well in the fantasy league in the last 4-5 seasons, and I used to lose interest after a few weeks. This is the first time I'm doing so well (athough last 3 weeks have been pretty average)
PS. Thank you Luis Suarez for the 32 points yesterday http://www.pokecommunity.com/images/templates/smilies/cerulean/20.%20boogie.gif |
The odd thing is I've kept up to date with my other fantasy teams, I just forgot about ours.
I suppose I'll take the draw as long as we get a run of form when we appoint a manager. That was a very important 45 minutes for Hughton yesterday. And finally Southampton just look ridiculously good at the moment. |
West Ham game was a funny one. Snodgrass and Fer had awful games and then came up with goals. Hughton continues to start Howson in a ''restrained'' role where he's totally ineffective, he even seems to lose the ability to play simple passes when held back. We looked more solid and lively at the back without Bassong, might be down to his fitness I suppose.
Yet again Hoolahan and Becchio didn't get on the pitch, sad but I think both of those will shipped off soon. Hope they find good homes. |
Stupid international breaks again >:(
Atleast a derby win should make the wait worhtwhile. |
It does indeed feel better going into one on the back of a win.
I'm actually looking forward for this break though thanks to the Portugal vs Sweden playoff games. |
I mean there's the Merseyside derby to look forward to after the break.
Atleast there's Sachin Tendulkar's last match to watch meanwhile. I hope it lasts more than 3 days. |
I should've posted earlier about it, but yay new Boro manager. Could go right, could go wrong, I suppose we'll see.
Yeah international breaks are really annoying, but I'm interested to see what Iceland will do at least. |
Certainly an interesting appointment.
|
Apparently Mourinho recommended he go to Boro. I assume it's more to get him into England, rather than Jose's deep-seated love of Teeside?
Since I am new here, just going to throw out the teams I support: Manchester United, Bournemouth and Falkirk. (Also, want Wimbledon to do well.) |
Well we had a few good results against Chelsea in Jose's first spell including a 3-0 win over them so maybe he has built up an idea of us being a good team. I don't know, but just speculating.
I think we have a couple of Manchester United fans so you'll share something there. I'll probably have a fair clue on Bournemouth so long as they're in the Championship. |

Vincent Del Bosque and Chris Coleman have both signed contract extensions. One is not a suprise at all, slightly suprised by Coleman though. |
I'm surprised by Coleman...but at the same time not. If he were sacked, it would've been down to short-termism in football than any major wrongdoing - when you consider until August Bale was Wales only top-class player, and he missed most internationals, what do you expect the guy to do? Wales with Ramsey and Bale in attack...could be more interesting when trying to qualify for the Euros.
Also, Manchester United's injury crisis is apparently going to lead to the use of Anderson. We're screwed. I'd rather Moyes convinced Rooney to take one for the team, and played either Kagawa or Van Persie behind Hernandez up front to be honest. |

Put in an unfit Fletcher. Put in Cleverly. We have youth prospects. We have goalkeepers, put Lindegaard or Amos in instead of Anderson. But seriously, as you say, either play two strikers with Carrick and Rooney in midfield would be perfect for me. Rooney, although he does want to play there, was glorious against Aston Villa last season in that CM role. Then, I'd like to see Zaha and Nani or Valencia on the wings myself. |
Finally we've got some good owners at the club now. Luis Suarez was supposed to return late from international duty and might have even missed the derby but John Henry sent his private jet to pick him up so that he'd be back 2 days before the game.
|
So once again we're back to proper football. No more breaks until March yay.
You never know with players like Anderson at some point they may just finally surprise you and play well for a while. Surely his United contract should be up soon? |
James Anderson is a better footballer than him.
|
Really good first half. Hope Suarez's injury isn't anything serious. He now has as many goals as Spurs in the league. {XD}
|
Has been good. So glad Mirallas didn't get sent off.

Great game at Goodison. Allen should have scored, mind. Hoping for an Everton win, but it really could go either way. EDIT: 2-2 now! That must be why Mourinho loaned out Lukaku. |
All those set piece goals. Was like a game of Football Manager.
|
Really dissapointed with the result. The look on Mignolet's face after conceding the third goal says it all.
|
Norwich playing awfully. Only took 2 minutes for normal service to be resumed after the win a couple of weeks ago.
|
Is anyone following italian Serie A?
|
I don't really watch it. Follow the scores and results sometimes.
|
Wow Arsenal have a 7 point lead over everyone else.
Then there's a 3 point gap between 2nd and 8th positions. |
