Pokemon expedition
Well when I was sick coughing blood I came up with this new idea for a game, totally unlike most fan games (its my style) where you have to study newly-discovered wild pokemon behaviour and take photos, Ill tell you more later =D
I will be making the graphics COMPLETELY by myself...here is a short section of a map in hoenn http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v470/kyledove/bigmap.png and the camera feature! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v470/kyledove/tuatriasnapshot.png there will be a lot of wild pokemon running around the maps as you try and take good photos, but I am unsure wether I should try to implement pokemon battling to make it more fun. sorry for the size and credit to cobalt for the new pokemon designs |
YOU MADE ALL THAT,Im impressed!!!!!!!!
|
Finally you posted this. Yay. I love the camera idea. I don't think you need battles if you have enough photos.
|
Wow, thats incredible. What A keen idea for a game! i like it....
|
very creative!! Chipset grafx r unbelievable! Very nice, like an updated pokemon game, i give u my props.
|
Game sounds awesome and the new graphics are Amazing!!! Good luck!
|
Exactly what I expected, Awesome graphics! Well I'm looking forward to see more!
|
Very nice trees and I like the flowers, will the camera be moveable?
Edit: Will it be based on dinos? |
looks great. I love the graphics.
|
Well, I have the same opinion as everyone else! Great game.
---Writing from Daejeon--- |
thanks everyone!
no the camera isnt moveable and no its not based on dino, that is just one of the new pokemon called tuatria based on a tuatara (its like an ancient lizard) made by my friend cobalt, there will be other new pokemon too. EDIT: no one has noticed the lotad swimming in the water hidden XD |
Expedition? Snap 2005! XD
Great tiles, but won't you work out a better template for the camera feature? |
Yeah I was thinking of making it better...Ill try make it movable if It can be coded,
right now the idea is that you have to go after certain photos. I didnt call it snap because the game is more about studying pokemon and treating them like wild animals and going on a mission to take some photos as a part of it, and the title is subject to change. With this game Im really trying to make them seem more realistic |

Great game kyledove |
this graphics is GOD.
Cant wait for more screenshot and for demo!!! u r good graphic , can u help me with graphics? :( |
Utter. Pwnage. Completely. Pwn'd. Me.
OK, you're.. like... too good at custom graphics, it's not fair! =P Excellence is clearly your field of expertise, sheck. |
Lol I hate that word but thanks I guess XD
I cant raelly help other people much because I cant have favourites, and Im really quite busy with this, my johto thing, my other game and helping projects |
great map!
i like the lotad hidden in the water ;) |
I noticed the Lotad. I just didn't know it's name. Most Pokemon past 251 I recognize but can't call it by name. Only the select ten or so past the first 251. Can't wait to see the hanging Metapods or Kakuna in the trees. That will rock. I've always wanted to include that in one of my own games.
Even if it was based completly on photos, Pokemon Snap (just that alone) would be a stolen copyrighted name. I look foreward to your future work. |
Im using copyrighted pokemon in it though anyway =\
sadly I had to take away the hanging metapods and kakunas because this is a newly discovered forest is in the hoenn region and it only includes hoenn pokemon and some new rare ones =D but there is hanging seedots.. |
This looks amazing, albeit it might take you awhile.
|
I dont think its gonna take that long, Im gonna try keep it VERY simple, and release a demo when the first mission is finished, I just want to make sure Im not gonna make it for people to play it and get bored and finished it quickly. Hopefully I might have weather and day/night system =\
Ive been working on the forest map lately and all I can say is that its looking very attractive to the eyes =D I cant really release it cos its REALLY big and if you saw it then you'd know how to run around in it, while in-game Im making it so big you could even get lost =D Oh and instead of kakunas and metapods I have silcoons and cacoons Ok I might update as to how I think it will be so far. Mission: "Forest mission 1" (there will be choices in later version and depending what pokemon you study it will unlock and branch out into different missions) Location: A forest discovered and situated in hoenn. Pokemon to study: Tuatria the psychic tuatara. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v62/cobaltdragon/tuatria-closed.jpg Photos required: Apperance, Diet (what it eats) Behaviour, Habitat, Eggcare and Mating(more like relationship with other pokemon of the same not what youre thinking...) Bonus Photos: Events and relationship with other pokemon Pokemon missions unlocked: Pokemon "Forest mission 2 and 3" |
HOLY....! I can't believe I totally missed this thread. You are godly Kyle!!!
Tuatria looks so official... it should be! I'm really excited about this game, it is so unlike any other, it is very unique and original. I hope you don't stop spoiling us with these graphics, cause I think I'm addicted to them now. :) LOL |
I cannot help but be excited.
