Step right up!

My name is...

David, though most people online call me Dave and I am a student who lives in the United States, Texas to be specific. I have very many interests, most specifically in computers/software which is why I hope to study software engineering once I make my way to college in a year or two. On the side I'm a huge listener of music, watcher of movies, and a player of games and sports! Other than that, there might not be much to me unless you remind me about it, haha. Don't worry, though, ask whatever; I won't bite.

You've probably answered this somewhere before, but what's your favorite band and song by them? And favorite solo artists, male and female?

What made you decide to play the trombone? I know that's not listed here, but I'm going with prior knowledge, haha.

My favorite band is probably Mogwai, and my favorite song by them is absolutely I Love You, I'm Going to Blow Up Your School. As for solo artist, it pains me to try and pick, but I think I'd have to go with someone safe like P!nk because as I think about it, there's not a single song of hers I don't like and I listen to her quite regularly! Just Give Me a Reason or Glitter in the Air is my favorite song by her.

At first I wanted to play it because I thought it looked cool, and when I wanted to switch to percussion, I was denied my request, thus keeping me on the instrument. I've never tried to look back again. :P

Let's say I've decided to take you with me to a country of your choice. Where would you want to go, and why? ^^

droomph May 4th, 2013 1:41 PM

What's the thing you're most sensitive about?

Germany; no ifs, ands, or buts! From what I know, they're one of the most advanced in clean energy production in the world, among other fantastic things (like traffic control) that I want to experience just once in my life if at all possible. Also, I don't care where I'd go with you because you'd make it an adventure regardless. :3

That's a hard one, but I think it might be my appearance. Now, don't think I have an inflated ego about my appearance, but I feel really defeated when someone tells me I'm dressing bad or something about me looks bad. I don't know, there's just something about not wanting how I look to be insulted that really irks me.

Ooh, a fellow aspiring software engineer! Any specific section of this field you're interested in? There are many different kinds among software engineer too, if I'm not wrong. When did you realize that "yeah, imma be a software engineer"?

Yes, most specifically software construction, of the nine or ten different subdisciplines there are. I'm into coding and fixing things that are broken (in this sense, other code) and that kind of thing so I'm hoping that it could be my profession. As for 'when,' it was probably when I decided that things like chemistry would be somewhat vital for a chemical engineering field and... well, chemistry and I don't click.

What do you think of me, good buddy ol' pal chum friend mate? One paragraph at least, thank you.

What do you think about the great state of Texas?
Secondly, where do you want to live one day?

Who is your favorite Clinton, Bill or Hil'? This is a very important question.

If you can change your voice to any accent in the world, which would it be?

That's another toughie. I think I'd like to have an Australian accent for a decent length of time, because I feel like my voice would support it well. You know, like there are some people whose voices are all too guttural for gentle accents (Swedish for example!) or too thin for bold, strong accents, like Russian, if that makes sense. :P

I think you are a dime a dozen, a diamond in the rough, a gem amongst granite, and all those other cliche idioms that sound nice. But realistically, I think you are a really, really unique and all the while incredibly fun to be around in every sense of the statement. When we talk there's probably not a time I don't smile because you're just that 'you're going to laugh and smile the entire time we talk' kind of person and that's an undeniable truth!

Texas is a pitiful state with mudslinging, ignorant, hypocritical politicians and mudslinging, ignorant, hypocritical school systems and mudslinging, ignorant, hypocritical local establishments. The weather is also some of the worst bipolar weather I've ever experienced. Just last night it was nearly 42 degrees (or something like that) in the spring, so I turned the heat on before I went to bed and woke up to it being nearly 80 outside (or something like that) and a 78 degree house and a sweaty pillow cover. :( It's a terrible state.

I've probably said this somewhere before, but I truly want to live in Germany at some point in my life, whether it be into retirement or stationed for a couple of weeks on some secret Mission Impossible-based government mission. Germany just seems like such a fantastic place.

You can't honestly expect me to choose between the ever bold and powerful Bill and Hil' duo!

Why do you change your avatar six times a day?

I change my avatar, at most, once a day. I just happened to change it twice today because what I changed it to didn't look as good as I thought it would. As for why I change it often, I'm just never satisfied with it or I find something else I think would look nice or I make something I really like so I slap it on.

If you could only pick one website to go to for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

Definitely Youtube, because it's chocked full of entertainment (from TV [sort of] to music to other assorted varieties of stupid things) and would hold me over for the rest of my life better than anything else, most likely.

Why won't you bite? What do you think the majority of PC members would taste like? What's your favourite food?

How do you calm yourself down when faced with a stressful situation?
What do you love most about yourself and what do you hate the most?

Sydian May 10th, 2013 10:34 PM

What made you choose to use Antemortem instead of Minzy? Those names are so different compared to each other, now that I'm looking at them together.

I don't bite because it's rude to eat and run, and of course if I were to chew up on a member of PC, I'd have to run for fear of the law catching up with me... naturally! As for my favorite food, it'd have to be beef tips and rice in brown and white gravy. It was a childhood favorite of mine that's carried over into my later years and it's something I enjoy soooo much.

I tend to think about the situation and what I could do to help/improve/otherwise mend the problem (if there is one) and if I can't do any of the previous, I try to stay away and not think about it if at all possible because if I can't fix it, thinking about it furthers my rage/stress.

I don't really like much about myself, but I guess if I had to choose it'd be my apparent natural leadership ability, because I've oftentimes been faced with having to take a stand as a leader in a situation in which one wasn't present. That happened a lot in middle school, and I quite enjoyed being trusted with a position I stood up to. Made me feel like my peers enjoyed me being in charge of them!! Could have been resentment, too, but...

As for what I hate; I hate my inability to know when to say something and when not to. My mouth often thinks two or three seconds faster than my brain, which results in me saying things I either didn't want to say yet or altogether. That sounds like something a ten-year-old would say, yes, but that's honestly what I feel.

I chose Minzy when I was on a 2NE1 fix, not really considering how I'd like the name in the future. When I came up with Antemortem (one of my first original names ever!!) I instantly thought 'Minzy's out the window' and proceeded to do just that with it. Of course, sometimes I regret it and think 'wow Minzy's not that bad of a name...' so.

I am assuming by your Avatar, that you are a fan of Bioshock Infinite. Did you ever play Bioshock, or Bioshock 2? Do you think Columbia or Rapture is better?

I'll be honest, I've played Bioshock: Infinite very little. This was just an avatar I found so I decided to theme it. xD I'll get back to you once I get into the game a little more, as I've never played any of the other Bioshock games.

Where did the name Antemortem come from, what's it's origins?

It came to me last summer when I was trying to think of a username for another website I frequent(ed). I wanted an original name that also sounded like it was unoriginal somehow. I was thinking about crime shows (don't ask!!) at the time and the term 'post-mortem' came to mind, so I slapped 'ante' (before) at the beginning instead of 'post' (after) and I used it! I quickly realized I was naive in thinking it was an original word, but I'd never seen anyone else use it, so.

You currently hold staff positions on two forums I'm active on, including PC, and you were once staff on one other forum. How did you handle all those roles so well?

Only six months late. :D

It's not that hard, really. I just know how to divide my responsibilities well.

Questions, go! <3
