Hey Silais your thread was more DCC material, so I merged it. :)

Silais November 6th, 2013 5:09 PM

Anyone else maybe want to tackle the picture and see if they can improve it?

Emitwols November 20th, 2013 8:44 AM

Hello !

I am new at this forum, and I signed up so you can help me !
I'm a 21 years old Portuguese design student, and I am an old Pokemon series fan.

I'm doing a work for university, based on creating one character applicable in one game. I chose POKEMON!

This work is very funny and motivational. I needed to choose one Musical instrument and one animal, and then, create animal's form/body/parts based on the chosen instrument parts.
Most like creating an abstract animal that reminds you of that Musical instrument.
I chose the Violin as instrument and a peacock as animal. Pretty good results.

So, the question is...

I need to show my character for my university, as if I was one pokemon official designer and was demonstrating a new Pokemon character, so, all I need is one image/template that is typical (in old pokemon or new pokemon) for characters presentation. I thought about the Pokedex presentation , but didn't found anything, but maybe there's anything better for presenting new characters hm ?

I'm hoping you guys can help me please !
Best regards for all and thank you

I honestly have no idea whether or not you'll read this. Since it has literally been a month since you posted, lmao.

Well, if I understood your question correctly, you designed a pokémon and wished to showcase the said design to your university in an efficient manner? And you thought of pokédex but thought that others may have better ideas? Hmm, I'm not sure how anything would work better than a voiceover describing the pokemon as in a pokedex but...well, you can always try animation? Perhaps make a few short clips of the pokémon in wilderness and do a voiceover over it? Or better yet, maybe just make it a fully visual experience. With the animation of the pokémon speaking for itself - its action in the habitats and its interactions with humans/trainers showing off various features of the pokémon without actually spelling it out for people using a narrator. But I'd assume that'd be too much work. Still, you asked for ideas and this was what came to my mind first.

Anyway, new topic - any comic book/anime/manga whose art style you just fell in recently?

Weird you should mention that, I recently tried to branch out and draw a exaggerated / comic book style.
Usually I draw in a more realistic style/colouring method.

█▄ █▄█ ▄█▀ ▀█▀ December 22nd, 2013 10:08 AM

Dat ass hnnnnggggg

I have seen so much realistic stuff now that I crave exaggerated/out of the box/not the norm/different art styles now. That looks good. Although the leg she's standing on looks slightly awkward for some reason. Anyway, got any more examples? Working on some comic project, hmm?

I liked Gurren Lagann's art style. And the recent Kill la Kill's art style is so reminiscent of it. Would make sense since they're done by the same people I guess, haha. Either way, totally out of the norm, over the top art style from a regular anime. Which is why I loves it.

Yeah, I just felt like trying something I'd never done before and jumped right into it. No more examples of comic book styles [yet anyway]. I'll probably do some more drawing tonight. I'm actually working on a digital painting which I've put 3 hours or so into so far.

I want to make a gallery thread, but since my harddrive wipe I have very little in the way or artistic works to post. I'll churn out some stuff after the holidays hopefully and get something online.

I was always a fan of Code Geass's artstyle when it comes to anime.

█▄ █▄█ ▄█▀ ▀█▀ December 22nd, 2013 10:25 AM

Well, you can always post them here for us to see. Would like to see that painting once it is finished. :3 and yes, hopefully by the time you post a gallery the activity would rise a bit.

I liked that too. It wasn't really all THAT different from regular anime character styles, though. It looked beautiful either way.

What do you think of these?

There's certainly something nice about the flatter colours and artstyle. I've been meaning to watch kill la kill but my anime backlog is rather long at the moment.

█▄ █▄█ ▄█▀ ▀█▀ December 22nd, 2013 10:49 AM

Then just leave it all and watch this lmao. I've put a ****ton of anime on hold. Only watching 4 atm. One Piece, Kill la Kill, Yorazuka Quartet (actually putting on hold now) and Freezing.

Oohhh and klk also has gems like these:

and talking of over-exaggerated expressive art:

damn i love eet

just curious, what does your backlog comprise of?

To keep this vaguely on related to A&D; have a picture of an elephant shrew i drew when I was drunk, completely forgot about, found on my desktop the next morning and was really confused about until I read the conversation which lead to my friend asking for a 'fancy shrew'.

seeker December 30th, 2013 8:04 PM

That must have been a pretty bizarre conversation. I try to draw drunk, all the time, but it's such a bad idea to be honest. I always either get bored or get too sloppy. Alcohol isn't an inspirational drug for me haha. While I was in Amsterdam however... well that's a whole other story. I tried to draw rainbows with a pencil. As in, a 2B lead pencil, does that even make sense? It seemed to at the time.

Ah I'm the polar opposite. I don't even try to draw drunk, it just happens. It's always with excited apprehension that I turn my PC on the morning after when I see my tablet is still plugged in.

The worst part is that when I'm drunk I don't consider naming files properly, and in the morning I'll find 14 images all named 'Untitled (1).png' 'Untitled (2).png and occasionally something along the lines of LolImAFiggit.png

I keep them all though, I have folder dedicated to them. It's like a scrapbook of photos taken by myself when I was a baby: I don't remember any of the photos being taken and don't understand what half of them are.

The quality generally ranges from amusing doodle absolutely undecipherable or vastly inappropriate.

On very rare occasions I come out with really surreal pictures that i'm actually glad I decided to draw whilst drunk.

Hello. I was referred to this part of the forums & moderator Strawberry about galleries because I do a little bit of graphic/digital design via Photoshop, some Pokemon themed stuff included. Upon further reading, I don't think I can start a gallery because I make the graphics for my Tumblr blog (images are watermarked with my username there). However, I thought that I'd still stop by & say hi while I was here. I usually can be found in TC's DCC. Thank you all. Hope everyone is well. :)

Hey there! :D Glad to see you made your way over here!

It's okay if you can't start a gallery yet; I'm sure you'll be able to in the future! I'm in the middle of remaking the Art Critique & Showcase thread (a thread where you can post one or two pieces. Consider it an "everybody gallery", even though it not up yet) for the new year,but hopefully you'll have a gallery's worth of art by then. Just remember that you only need three pieces to open one! n_n;

Anyway, enough with rules. What is your favorite kind of graphic art to do? Like make tags and stuff? Or bigger works?

Things like in my signature, iPhone wallpapers, just small things. I do requests for them on my blog, so just whatever people ask for I have the capability of doing.

My first tag since summer. It needs more work and kinda sucks, what would you guys suggest:

http://i.imgur.com/O0iTiZj.png

alisaie January 24th, 2014 9:39 AM

I'm probably not the biggest person to ask because I'm not all that great at tags but maybe something in the front and behind mawile (such as a c4d or something idk) to bring out the depth and make it less flat? Also maybe mess with colors a bit and more mawile to either the left or right to follow Rule of Thirds.

Though really Gavin or Dero would be able to suggest more.

I was finally updating the first post of my gallery so it's more up-to-date and it's pretty amazing going through your pictures and seeing how much they have changed, your highlight pieces, etc.

_Dean_ January 26th, 2014 1:37 PM

Hello all. I didn't see an "introduction" thread and I figured I'd just post here and introduce myself!

I wouldn't call myself an "artist" by any means. I'm more of a hobbyist and I really enjoy pixel art. I've not necessarily got the highest aspirations for making pixel art, but its fun so whatever haha.

Anyways. Hello. Just call me Dean.

TheFattestSnorlax January 26th, 2014 2:08 PM

Oh no, I am absolutely horrible at art. Once I tried to give a portrait of myself and it sucked big time. In fact, none of my other friends can draw. You see, I am really interested in these pieces of artwork here. They are really amazing, and I keep checking back to see some more drawings. Yes, you can like art even if you can't draw.

Hey Dean! Welcome to A&D. :) I'm Strawberry, aka Alexial, and the moderator of this humble little section. Pixel art is such fun. I, like you, just started as a pixel hobbyist, with my primary talents being dedicated to traditional art. However, at some point along the road, I really fell in love with it. It's always great having something that you can apply to your day; something fun and as easy as you want it to be.

Anyway! It's nice meeting you Dean. I'm currently running a fakemon contest, maybe you'd like to give that a shot to play around a little more with your pixeling/drawing skills?

Nakala Pri January 29th, 2014 9:57 PM

No worries! ^^

I'll ferret around for one and find a totes stunning one like usual, haha. xD

My current avatar, for example, single-handedly cropped by moi. xD

derozio January 31st, 2014 2:00 AM

My current one has been single handedly cropped by moi as well. :p

anyway, ya guys came across some piece of art lately that made you go 'woaaahhh'?!

Sheep January 31st, 2014 9:07 AM

So I'm drawing again! Can't believe how long it's been. Feelin' a little rusty but this is what I have so far:

http://i.imgur.com/BU6BtFq.png

http://i.imgur.com/GRKMjYJ.png

http://i.imgur.com/TGdzSIi.png

The last one I timed myself on to see how fast I could sketch Gengar, haha. Only took a few minutes!

derozio January 31st, 2014 9:11 AM

Holy.

I didn't know you were THIS good, janna! Omg.

Nakala Pri January 31st, 2014 9:37 PM

JANNA! HOLY FRIGGIN MILTANK MAN THIS IS GOLD!!! :O

Holy cur-ap! O.O

And I thought I was good, haha.

Tsutarja January 31st, 2014 9:51 PM

Holy cow Janna, those are really good :D I really love the Zorua one <3

TwilightBlade January 31st, 2014 9:54 PM

I love your sketches of Pumpkaboo, Gourgeist, and Phantump. They're so cute and pout-y. <3

bobandbill January 31st, 2014 10:05 PM

Gotta agree, those sketches are really great. Evidence that you should draw more stuff. =p

Fairy January 31st, 2014 10:24 PM

I second/third/fourth/fifth all of the above. Also that Meowstic in the first picture really makes me happy for some reason. It just seems like it has a huge personality and I love that in art. Please keep drawing~~~!

Nakala Pri January 31st, 2014 11:58 PM

Janna, if you don't keep this up then we'll threaten you with chopsticks! :O

Honestly, what do you use to make such magnificence? :O

Puddle February 1st, 2014 4:48 AM

Uhm. If you wanna draw me something, like, you can :)

derozio February 1st, 2014 4:58 AM

Haha, what ^ they said. :p

also, i think janna reads/watches magi? Anyone else here does? Its character designs are amazing. Easily the coolest character transformations after they undergo full djinn equip. ;______; also character art is so detailed in those that it'd take me hours do draw a single panel

Aashutosh Kumar February 1st, 2014 7:26 AM

This one was the best :-

Sheep February 1st, 2014 9:21 AM

Whoa I didn't expect so many replies! Thank you guys, it means a lot. <3 I.. definitely need to draw more. Glad I finally have a tablet that isn't painstakingly small and hard to use, haha.

And yes! The Magi character designs are amazing. I've always really been inspired by those designs but haven't done much with that yet.

Mhmm, yeah, definitely have to agree with everyone here; these artwork are amazing! Especially the first and last. If these two were colored, they'd look even more awesome. I understand that coloring could take a lot of time and all, but yeah... my point still stands. xD" I suck at drawing. Regardless of how I try, I could never make anything like those. Ever.

derozio February 4th, 2014 8:47 AM

A bad coloring job can ruin stuff, tbh. Especially if you're doing trad art. But janna isn't and her coloring work is top notch anyway so yeah maybe she should've done it lol

also since she's already seen this:

drew for jo, my bestie. <3

Nakala Pri February 6th, 2014 11:06 PM

I wish I could upload photo's here since I draw a rather awesome protagonist buuuuut the camera is broken and stuff. ;-;

derozio February 7th, 2014 6:27 AM

Nakala Pri February 7th, 2014 9:53 PM

Nah, don't have a mobile. xD

Not really a use of it, since my social life is online. :3

but yeah, as soon as i get my own camera i'll totes make a gallery. ^^

alisaie February 11th, 2014 1:53 PM

I'm not even sure if this is a case for any of you but--

What do you do when you've updated several times and haven't gotten any comments? Just keep pushing and keep updating? Or what. I'm kind of in a slump because I have done a few things since but it's almost as if I'm going through of phase of 'who caaaares' and not updating anymore.

Hiatus February 11th, 2014 3:19 PM

I sort of experienced this in my previous gallery, which caused me to abandon it. After I did, it immediately started receiving comments, but… I just couldn't bother responding to them, unfortunately. XD" Anyway, if your gallery's not receiving any comments, you should just keep updating it. People would do it, eventually.

Nakala Pri February 12th, 2014 11:22 PM

i'm always flooded with requests, but when i don't i just usually post something worthless but just brings it back up to the surface. xD i dunno if i can update it everytime no one asks for an avatar. xD

Nolafus February 12th, 2014 11:38 PM

I don't receive a lot of comments, but that's okay. If you're looking for more, post more in your gallery and then comment in others. Getting your name out there is the best way to do it.

I should update my gallery soon, but I'm in a creative slump right now. I'm getting out of it, but having trouble shaking it off completely.

derozio February 13th, 2014 12:05 AM

I can understand how lack of comments can make you feel dejected. Really, really well. But there's really no way out of it. Apart from, maybe, commenting in other galleries yourself and putting out content whenever you can. But things have become better recently. Most galleries do get comments. Since A&D as a whole has become much more active than before. Really happy to see that. <3;

I do not like seeing dejected artists. So I always feel like I have an obligation to post in all galleries I see - some words can mean a lot. But time. Time is such a scarce quantity that it gets in my way. :< I'll probably be able to go on a spamming posting spree after my exams are done in May.

Hiatus February 13th, 2014 12:30 AM

Been planning to take requests in my gallery, but not completely sure if I should; if I get too many requests, I'm afraid of not being able to get to them all. I'm also scared that I might be rushed by others—another thing to worry about. I'll probably open up requests for some limited time and see how it goes. If I like it, though, then I may keep it that way. :P

Sheep February 26th, 2014 6:19 PM

It's always really sad when you don't get a lot of comments.. I remember being crushed each time I uploaded art to dA but they ended up with one or two comments at most years back, hah. :( But like Sakazuki said, a lot of the lack of comments biz can be alleviated if people thought to comment on others' galleries rather than just awaiting replies in their own threads.

Fairy February 26th, 2014 6:57 PM

Please I can go months without getting a single comment, and update 5 - 7 times without receiving so much as a sentence. The problem is that people just want feedback, they don't want to give feedback. I do the best I can with it, and I always try to post in new galleries.. but it gets cumbersome after a while. :<

Still, A&D is buzzing, and way more active than its ever been. It's my baby and I love it no matter how much it hurts me. <33

Hey, if I ran a signature contest, who would be in? Or maybe another icontest? Thoughts? :)

Sheep February 26th, 2014 7:04 PM

I was a sensitive little bunny years ago so if I got no comments I assumed my art was unloved and just hid in a hole. Thankfully that's waaaay in the past, though. ~o~

And as for contests I'm much more on board with iContest. They're a lot of fun to make and I absolutely adore them.. signatures take me a lot longer and given how picky I am I probably wouldn't ever finish, hah. Especially since I'm going to be busy for the next few weeks.

I'm definitely a-OK with icontest. As for signature, I probably won't be able to participate, as my access to Photoshop is very limited at the moment. Things like tags, banners, and large pieces take extremely long time to make (for me, anyway), since you have to put a lot of thought into them when creating. In addition to that, I'm lacking motivation, too, kind of. :(

Fairy February 27th, 2014 5:38 PM

hey kids. :)

awesome I'll gauge more interest and get moving on icontest #2 I'll think of a cool theme for everyone to work with [s]honestly thinking of making it Cilan omg[s/]

Dero I'll think less of you if you don't join. Draw a damn icon bby

TwilightBlade February 27th, 2014 5:49 PM

Icontests are fun because icons take no time at all to make. If you plan on hosting any future signature contests, give me like 2-3 weeks to enter, heh. I couldn't compete against Dero anyway. :<

derozio February 27th, 2014 6:36 PM

Like I said, I don't really have any choice. XD; I'll be leaving home from March 4 onwards - no PC access. Can't really do anything about it. :( I shall participate in any contests that take place from June-July onwards, though! And go on a posting/commenting spree in A&D too. Because that is when I'll be free of a lot of ♥♥♥♥ and be back home. n_n;

^ ALSO SHUT UP SISTER. YOU'RE AMAZING AND I SUCK. :<

Puddle February 27th, 2014 6:46 PM

I'm down for anything. Got my laptop with Photoshop back and I'm ready to go :3

Nakala Pri February 28th, 2014 1:06 AM

Oooooooh, I'll participate in the iContest! <3

I've only ever competed in one contest back in liek... early 2013? I can't be sure but this sounds like a real treat! C:

I want to get more social, helpful and just be more competitive here on PC! ^^

Aquacorde March 4th, 2014 9:04 PM

Any prospective themes for a contest in mind yet?

Hiatus March 4th, 2014 9:26 PM

I think it'd be pretty cool if it were "vintage" (or something along the lines). Basically, we'd take a stock image, make it into an icon, and add effects to have it look like an old picture of sorts.

Nakala Pri March 4th, 2014 9:40 PM

Viiiiiintage, eh? xD Not really my thing but I gotta compete anyway so... hell yeah... I guess? :P

Aquacorde March 4th, 2014 10:41 PM

Oh that sounds pretty cool. I could get on board with that~ trying to think of things that would take to being made vintage though, hmm.

Somniac March 5th, 2014 9:44 AM

Sounds pretty neat, Although i can see if we go for vintage pretty much every image is going to have some sort of greyscale of sepia overlay and some damage filters...

Aquacorde March 5th, 2014 2:43 PM

Well that's where it gets challenging, right? Making your own stand out with that going on.

Fairy March 5th, 2014 7:20 PM

I LIKE IT

Next Icontest's gonna be vintage. Any subject, any material, any whatever; it just has to look vintage, either by way of what the icon is of or how it looks. Based on who's icon best captures the theme of "vintage".

o wait that means I have be a mod

Aquacorde March 5th, 2014 7:40 PM

Do you tho? Can't you just give it to popular vote etc?

Hiatus March 5th, 2014 7:55 PM

I really like the idea of voting, because, well, that's our traditional way. XD" Personally wouldn't mind with Jo being the judge either, though.

Fairy March 5th, 2014 8:23 PM

Oh no, I just meant I have to make the thread lol. Yeah no I never want to judge a contest myself if I can help it. xD

Aquacorde March 5th, 2014 9:59 PM

judging sucks butt lbr

So what would be the timeframe for submissions & voting? As in, how many days etc. I forgot what we used to do. :x

Nakala Pri March 6th, 2014 3:28 AM

Oooooh, I'd like to be a judge! :D

Buuuuuuuuut i'm not even that fond of voting so... xD I'm not sure. :P

Aquacorde March 6th, 2014 3:56 AM

Icontest procedure was generally submission, then all submitters had to vote (for someone other than themselves ofc) or else disqualified, plus everyone else could vote, and winner gets an emblem (I have one :D) and then was disqualified from competing in the next Icontest.

Hiatus March 6th, 2014 4:28 AM

Maybe we could go with one week for entries, and one week for voting? Two weeks, sounds a little too long, though. If this is a one-week event, then three days for entries and three days for voting should be fine. :] Also, I'm really looking forward to (possibly) getting a hold of that emblem. Yay!

Fairy March 6th, 2014 8:18 PM

Honestly, I want to start up weekly icontests again. :x With the winner picking the icon size and theme for the next one. o/

Aquacorde March 6th, 2014 8:46 PM

That'd be lovely. :D I miss Icontests a lot tbh. And then would there be some other contest like once a month as well? Tags or pixel art or something?

For sure! n.n; Probably alternate between tags, pixel art (which doesn't always have to be just pokemon related), fakemon contests, and definitely more traditional/digital contests. Like, I've always wanted to run a POPdraw contest, in which you'd have, idk, an hour to draw on this day, at this time. Then just before the contest, I'd release the theme. Draw a bird, GO! Or something like that, something a little more fun and exciting and challenging!

Anyway, good news!

gogogo fly my artists

Aquacorde March 6th, 2014 9:54 PM

Oh I like that POPdraw idea. :D Even though I suck at drawing lmao.

Also I made a vintage icon already but it sucks bleah im try again tomorrow.

Hiatus March 7th, 2014 2:21 AM

I'm really not happy with my entry; like Anna, I'll probably swap it tomorrow. Don't have access to Photoshop at the moment, so GIMP and Pixlr are my only options, which I'm not very good at using. :( Pixlr is okay, but doesn't have many tools available. As for GIMP, well, I find that to be way too complicated; wish it were more simple.

Aquacorde March 7th, 2014 7:25 PM

tbh I can only sort-of use Phtotoshop; I never had access to it so GIMP was my go-to program and I learned on that. So I think it's easy lol.

I think the icon i edited in there is better but ugh I've been searching for this one image that I know exists because my mom used to have a print of it and it was like, bold colours but a painting of some ladies in 20's fashions at a waterfront café or something and it would have been perfect to play with but I CANT FIND IT ;;

Hiatus March 7th, 2014 8:07 PM

I started off graphic-designing with GIMP, but was growing sort of tired of its loading, which soon caused me to move over to Photoshop. I fell in love with it instantly, and haven't looked back ever since.

Ughh, yeah, it's always tough when it comes to looking for something specific. ;o; Unless the picture is well-known and has its own title, chances are, you will never find it. I never search for things when making icons; I just visit some site, and use whatever I could manage to get my hands on. Haha.

Aquacorde March 7th, 2014 8:59 PM

GIMP got like 8x better when I upgraded from 2.6 to 2.8 two weeks ago because i didnt bother for years

I usually just use whatever strikes me as nice but I was googling variations on "1920s posters" for hours yesterday because that style was so good and I have no idea what it actually IS ugh

Entermaid March 8th, 2014 11:47 AM

I was excited to see a Fakemon Contest last month, and it went over very well! Lots of people and great art!

Ideas for special Fakemon Contest Themes to throw in the mix from time to time.

Silhouette Challenge.

Don't we all love the excitement of newly "revealed" pokemon via silhouettes? Well, I did. Gen 5 starters and Slyveon are a few examples of pokemon that were first revealed in this form. I loved looking at all of the artist interpretations of the unknown shapes in diverse ways.

Essentially a silhouette(s) is given for everyone to interpret. (Not of an existing pokemon)

Pokedex-Description Challenge:

Artists are provided an entry from a fan-based pokedex entry and then must imagine what the pokemon looks like in through their designs.

Not sure how I feel about these. But, it was interesting see someone try to invision those crazy pokemon plus and minus descriptions.
Spoiler:
Quote:

evolves into Water/Steel and is a squat, teardrop shaped humanoid that has a jar filled with on its head as it evolves it grows taller and the jar bigger until it needs another set of arms to hold it on it’s head. Fire evolves into Fire/Fairy and is a tiny cute goat with fire blowing out of its horns, it’s horns and look evolves more menacing until it has curly ram like horns and a motorcycle hot-rod-like look. Grass evolves into a Grass/Electric and starts with a leap for a face with a nubby root as a body and evolves until it grows into an electric producing palm tree with each flower petal having a different face.

Some other non-fakemon ideas:
Design a Gym Layout (might be non-practical if no interest exists. It would be cool though!)
Create a Trainer/Badge

derozio March 8th, 2014 11:57 AM

OKAY CONFESSION TIME - the only two requests i couldnt finish in my shop were jo's and peitharchia's. Because I didnt know what to do with text in Jo's and Nymph's as I HAD NEVER DONE A VINTAGE THINGY BEFORE OTL. So sorry about that, both of you!

Also i didnt know icontest was up. I shall go check out. Me jelly i cant participate in anything till may end.

Hiatus March 8th, 2014 4:27 PM

That's okay; don't worry about it. Yeah, doing vintage-themed graphics could be sort of tough, as you'd have to use a lot of gradient maps, color selections, textures, etc. If you don't take your time and rush, though, your result wouldn't turn out too good, like my entry in icontest. ;; Wish I had put more effort into that.

Also, I'm really liking those Pokémon, Fenneking! Though, I think it would have been even nicer if the water-type one wasn't so vivid in terms of color.

I probably could have found a better example online, but I think the water one was actually the cutest interpretation of the silhouette, though I am not big on the red and white scarf color either, or that it is even wearing a scarf for that matter.

I like these silhouette predictions too:

I remember loathing this prediction since I happen to run into it on Google:

Fairy March 8th, 2014 8:36 PM

Okay, first, holy ♥♥♥♥ tDA, you're awesome. Honestly, I'd like to make a game out of predictions; where someone, like a GM, would draw a silhouette and then it's up to people to fill it in. The winner (based on the GM's word) goes on to become a GM themselves, and so on and so forth.

Second, I'd love to bring back the old One Line Drawing PA game, where fakemons were created be people adding one line (or color) at a time.

Eeeee I have so many fun things I can do omg! We just need MORE PEOPLE TO PARTICIPATE IN ICONTEST DAMMIT. щ(ಥДಥщ)

Third, Dero, I'm so disappointed in you wtf.
Just kidding ilu babe and I only requested text because I wanted to push you, not because I actually wanted it for myself; so you're all good. Promise! <33

Ooh, I like your idea with the silhouettes in which the winner becomes the GM.

Also, I miss this the add-a-line game. so long as people don't god mod!
You should definitely do it :)

PS: I am terrible with photo editing, so I can enter the icontest, if you are not concerned with going blind from my atrocity!

Aquacorde March 9th, 2014 7:15 PM

bro just enter for real i won with like the worst thing ever like even objectively it wasn't good i had no idea what i was doing lmao you can not be any worse than that

Your entry's great. I really love how soft it is, and its sharpness is just perfect. Though, I think it would have looked even better if it were actually colored. It's just my personal preference, so no worries; it's still good. :]

Thanks! I wasn't sure. I had a colored one, and I couldn't pick :(

Here was my color one ( I kind of like this one better come to think of it)

Aquacorde March 10th, 2014 8:50 PM

o that one is hella. I like it much better. :D really good job with that coloring~

Fairy March 12th, 2014 3:45 PM

Everyone should enter icontest js.

Aquacorde March 12th, 2014 3:48 PM

everyone should always enter icontest no matter what because it's a good way to practice and think a little differently than what you normally would when making something

Hiatus March 12th, 2014 5:09 PM

It's not that tough to make icons either, really. XD" Even if you're not good at graphics, all you have to do is crop an image and maybe alter its color a bit. After that, you should be all set.

derozio March 14th, 2014 1:13 PM

That is true. Although I personally follow that route whenever I'm doing requests or being lazy. :p Serious icons, those that I actually bother to put effort in, are actually as hard to make as tags and take just as much time if not more than any regular tag of mine does.

But bleh, I'm always lazy so most of my icons are simple color enhancements and nothing more lol.

P.S - an average lazy icon of my contains at least 2-3 gradient maps, 8+ selective color adjustment layers and maybe one or two levels/curves adjustment layers and so on lol
