I also swept E4, Lance, and Red with Feraligatr, taught it Surf, Ice Punch, Earthquake, and Bite.
Almost the same Moveset as myself. I gave it Surf, Ice Beam, Crunch, Strength. Of course, I had to have a few extras solely for Cut, Fly, Whirlpool and Waterfall.
I used a Lv74 Polywrath with Waterfall, Ice Punch, Submission, and Dynamicpunch and swept them.
I did in Crystal! With Shuckle as a kid, actually. :) I don't remember how I did it but I know it was a huge pain in the butt lmao.
Yeah. Most recently in Black 2 I trained up my Starmie to like level 70 and taught it Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Hydro Pump, and Surf. That knocked out not only the E4 but also Iris all by itself!
I only ever did this once... In Pokemon yellow... With Butterfree :D
Oh yeah I did do it a couple of weeks ago when I was playing crystal(with Feraligatr).I also beat the crap outta Red with the same Feraligatr.
I was able to defeat them using only my Feraligatr due to some intense level grinding and the fact that he was over 20 levels stronger.
Couple years ago, I did the Celebi Glitch to get Mewtwo (It's a good thing that Splash is the move needed), raised it to 100, and it ****s up everything that stands on its way.
Yes, my starting pokemon - that is just how I always have played pokemon.
I didn't know you were supposed to level up multiple Pokemon, so I defeated the E4+Lance in Crystal with just a level 64 Typhlosion (and my Lvl 24 Spinarak, in case Fire Dude (my Typhlosion) fainted, so I could Revive him.
I did a run through of Crystal once with only a shiny Scyther. Other than that one time though, I have more fun with a full party.
I once swept the E4 and the Champion with my level 69 Feraligatr.
When I was first into pokemon, I thought metronome was the best move of all time, so I made my togepi extremely overpowered without evolving it because, ew, wings. I pumped everything I had into it, it was poisoned? Holy sh*t get that pokemon a pecha berry asap! It was down by one hp? Use the hyper potion! Seriously, togepi is #3 on my top ten list of pokemon.
XD I was stupid as a kid so I trained Charizard to level 100 to challenge everything head on. I was stupid to have Fly, Blast Burn, Flamethrower and Ember I Blast Burned everything to death.
In my first run, I beat the Pokémon league only with my Typhlosion. I was required to use a lot of recovery items, though, such as full heal and super potion. xD During my second shot, I was able to defeat the Elite Four and champion with my Gengar. I still had five additional Pokémon on my team (who weren't fully-evolved), though, just so that I could withdraw my Gengar every now and then and give him a rest.
As a matter of fact, I did!
On Crystal, I used Typhlosian to stomp the Elite 4 and Champion easily. |
Did it with a Feraligatr once in Crystal and tried it with a Meganium but, to put it nicely, I didn't have decent moves.
I did it many times in Gen 1, and at least one time in Gen 2... in Gen 1, I did it with the 3 starters, and later with other pokemon that I trained, and got to high levels so the only relatively quick way to keep training them was the E4, like Dragonite, Rhydon, Gyarados, Magmar, Gengar, Alakazam, The legendarys, eeveelutions, lapras, fossils, and maybe some more... in Gen 2 I'm positive that I beat them with a Thyplosion at least once
I usually go though with just one Pokemon in my party, but I never managed to beat the E4 until I got a Dragonite.
I don't remember if I did it with just my Feraligatr or not. But I do remember only training my Feraligatr (and a Pidgey I suppose) the first time I played Silver. So when I went into the Elite Four I simply went it with Feraligatr and like.. back ups in case it fainted. Which I don't recall ever happening so in that case I would say I did in some shape.
I've beaten the Elite Four in GSC with only one Pokémon plenty of times. Before my Gold died, I soloed it with each member of my five-Pokémon team (so Totodile, Blastoise, Quagsire, Pikachu, and Noctowl--yes, my team was incredibly unbalanced). For each of them, I soloed the Elite Four without using any items (so no hyper potions, full heals, etc.). I have to admit, beating some of those Onixes with my Pikachu (which only knew Electric and Normal-type moves) was a pain, but the end result was satisfying. I may have soloed the Elite Four with some other Pokémon as well, but I can't quite remember.
In Red, I know I did it with Blastoise plenty of times (since that was the only Pokémon I bothered training the first time I played), and I think I later did it with other Pokémon as well. |
My first time playing Crystal I ended up sweeping them with a Suicune. I did it again at one point with my Typhlosion. Can't remember the levels though.
Back in the days of GSC era, I filled up my party for story mode.
After it Espeon's my main powerhouse, and arsenal -- the only Pokemon I used for battling E4. |
I beat the E4 on Silver version with just a Dragonite. I didn't wanna level up my team so I asked my friend to trade me his lv 70 Dragonite and I beat the E4 and Lance with that.
