Pokémon - The league stands strong IC (M)
Pokemon - The league stands strong - IC OOC thread - click here PLOT - This is a futurisitic roleplay set in the year 3013. In the year 2993, 20 years ago, pokémon battles became illegal, due to protests to protect pokémon from harm. Behind the law change was a group of people known as 'the proven' who manipulated people into believing that pokémon battles were bad, and later manipulated the government to take action. 'The proven' are based in Jhoto, but the law became international all across the world after many people were brainwashed into believing this. However, all is not lost, for the Jhoto league stood strong, and many pokémon trainers gathered their to protest from all across the world. Eventually, the demand for pokémon battles was so high, the Kanto region gave up ownership of the region and handed it to Cynthia, champion of Sinnoh, who declared that the region be their for all pokémon trainers strong enough. It was an ideal place for everyone, but due to the little amount of space, getting in isn't easy. The Jhoto league is the only way to gain entry, but just getting into the Jhoto league is hard enough. Entry - You are walking in the allyway between 2 houses, and in the darkness a man in a brown trench coat, sunglasses, a bowler cap, and a scarf covering his mouth asks you, "Do you wish to join the league. All the information is on the page." He hands you a small note, and with that, he wanders off behind the houses, and is never seen again. The note - The Jhoto league is for those who enjoy pokémon battling. The proven have messed with us too long. We will take action. Each trainer is given a battle token, which is enclosed within the envelope. You must challenge other trainers to a three on three battle, and the loser, must give the winner their tokens. The 8 winners will end up with 3 tokens each, as their are only 24 people alloud into the league. The system used is smarter than it may seem, cheating is no option. - Be careful of police fellow members, and remember, only one can win, and with that win, they can take themselves and their family to Kanto, where customs are the same. Why Kanto? - Truth to be told, Kanto is more scientifically developed than Jhoto. Pokemon in Jhoto are no longer alloud to use their moves, and therefore this caused a disturbance in people's chain of work, causing technology to drop by a level, and recourses became harder to collect. Pokemon are kept as pets here, so it's strange to have a pokemon such as geodude, and you can sometimes be arrested if seen with vicious pokemon, or large ones. Kanto's line of work is based around pokemon, and makes getting a job there much easier, plus large pokemon can get their food, without being stared at, or caught by the police. Pokemon alloud out in public - small pokémon that resemble those of pets, e.g poocheyena, skitty, etc. Human like pokémon are alloud out in public too, e.g jynx meditite, medicham, machop, etc. Other pokémon that resemble other animals, e.g arbok, are found in natural envirements, e.g Arbok or ekans may be found in the desert, and an ariados or spinarak may be found in a forest. (In other words, the rule is that pokémon resemble animals, and are treated as if animals.) You - You are a teenage boy/girl hoping to move your family or/and yourself to Kanto, in hope of achieving this, you were recently given the note, and a token. Soon after you find yourself in amongst Goldenrod city, struggling to smuggle your pokémon and family around the city. In this roleplay, the neccesary things you will need is shelter, money, and your pokémon. Now go, your adventure awaits! Boundaries - You can go pretty much anywhere within reason, but it would be best to stay in the vecinity of Goldenrod, as that is where most of the action happens. Points of interest - The Ruins Of Alph - jno surveillance goes on here, so having a battle is easy here. Department store - Good shopping experience, indeed, but many people are living in the basement of this building in order to protect their pokémon. Violet City Flying Gym - After the gym was shut down, it became a suitable place for trainers to battle against opponets in secret. It's also a good spot for training bird pokémon (obvs) Daycare Centre - The daycare centre for pokémon was soon turned into a daycare for children, and jobs are easy to get if the elder's psychic powers judges you well. Olivine city - here, you can get a boat to a resort island, free from monitisation, and many people wish it to stay that way. Many of the locals on this island may get angry if pokémon battles take place here incase they become monitised, and so 'The Proven' take advantage of this, and is their main source of income. (Btw the island is named Viso Island, and is close to the old Hoenn league, which is now a fitness gym.) Rules - No bunnying without permission No spamming. Be active as much as possible. During battles, work together to come up with a decent battle plan, and don't just rush in and say they are dead. I will decide who wins the battle by who has done the best post, and has used the best tactics. No godmodding. Have fun is always a nice rule, but you aren't here to have fun... Just Kidding!! Peeps playing ATM- Crimson0191 - Yuki Koopafan29 - Michael GenethepowerfulXD - Gene [absent] IceFyr1928 - Derek - [died and turns out her name now is deathofshadows] ElBurrito - Justin Sheraku - Tabris + Tsuya! |
Hey everyone, just another thing to note, you can reserve places, coz it is limited to 16 (i think)
|
dude wrong forum it is roleplay lounge. Just wanted to point that out and i am interested. :)
|
-.- I submitted it to the roleplay lounge, but the game moderaters must have put it here instead by accident. I noticed that the other day, so I'm gonna close this one and republish it in the ,lounge!
actually, I'll just edit this and make it the IC page :) Sure, I'm making the OOC page now, coz this is now going to be the IC page, (coz I'm an idiot) so bear with and post on the OOC page, which has the template on, when it's accepted. yes I'll reserve for you. Oh and I realise now that there are only 12 spaces, coz I want an equal number of npc's for ease of use, so the battles between the rp'ing charrectors can happen much later. |
Chapter 1 - Festival season As the festival draws close, the rebellious league have decided to make plans of their own for all the trainers. As dated on every 'dog tag' the date of the annual Summer festival will arrive in a week. The events will include friendly battling, training programs and delicious food, however, due to the police, we have had to move the location from the underground tunnels to the the underground caverns near the lake of rage. Meet us there, in seven days, and bring your family if you wish. Yuki - Festival Yuki stared at the back of his invitation, his back lay on the bed, and his invite held way in the air. He flipped it over, and then picked up his tag. So far he hadn't battled anyone, so he had no idea what type of people he was up against. Riolu poked his head round the bedroom door, holding an half eaten apple in his head, and launched himself into the air to land next to Yuki. Eevee closely followed and stared up at Yuki, her eyes beaming like crystals. Yuki turned to his pokémon, then a troubled expression came across his face. Wheres ampharos? Suddenyl, a yellow sheep pokémon pioked his head round the door and waved at Yuki. Dinner time then. Yuki shut his curtains and opened a cupboard in his room to reveal some fresh ham and a bottle of water, then gathered everyone up at his desk, where riolu and eevee sat on the floor, and ampharos stole Yuki's desk chair. Yuki served all three of them a slice of ham each, and a double serving for ampharos, due to it's larger stomach. He then walked out the room, and smiled at his pokémon beforen shutting the door. It wasn't necessary to close the door, but Yuki preferred that he knew his pokémon were definitely going to be safe, and Ampharos, being the responsible one, is the only one that can reach the door. Sometimes, Yuki ended up treating his pokémon like his own kids. Yuki sat at the table and awaited his mum to give him his plate. Mum: Did you feed those three trouble makers? Yuki: haha, yes mum. Don't worry, they're safe up there, nobody can find them. Mum: Mhmm, your just lucky your dad's a police officer so the guards don't come around. I've always wondered why the police only come to this area. Yuki: Possibly a higher crime rate? Mum: Possibly. Yuki sat at the table, patiently awaiting the clock to strike six. As it did, he lifted himself to his feet, and went to his room to return ampharos to his pokeball, and hid it deep in his bag, he then lifted riolu up onto his shoulder, and eevee walked freely on the ground. He then took himself to the door, where his dad then opened the door. Yuki: Sorry dad, can't stay, I got to go. Also, don't forget about our trip tomorrow. Dad: Where are you going? Yuki: To get some stuff from the shops. their holding a contest like those in sinnoh apparently, and I want to enter Eevee in one! Dad: okay, but don't stay out too late. Oh and I would never forget about tomorrow, don't you worry. Yuki left to roam the main street of Goldenrod city. As he passed the radio tower, he felt a great excitement come over him. |
Michael Sheranto
Chapter 1, Part 1 Michael got out of bed as his Manectric jumped on his bed. He doesn't usually like mornings because he has to do chores and stuff but today he got up really fast. He wasreally excited about the Jhoto League and wanted to battle. He ran downstairs with his manectric following and said "Mum! Dad! I got invited to the Jhoto league!" His mother sat down turned around and said "Wow! I heard if you win you get to go to Kanto! Now go out an do something for me. Please may you go outside and go shopping in a mart?" Michael wen outside to go to the mart when he saw a boy about his age in a street by the radio tower. He then carried on to go over to the pokemon mart As he walked in the woman said "Hey Michael what do you want today?" "Just the usual." The woman at the counter walked over to a cupboard and gave a big bag to Michael."There you go. Hope to see you soon!" Michael walked out and went back over to his house. He then went out with his pokemon and went over to this guy. Who is he? |
Yuki Someone aproached Scott from behind, an ordinary person, no different to the usual lot. They always stare at him. Why him. Yuki, who tried his best to be polite, turned around to the stranger, and nervously spoke. Yuki: Uh, hi there. I, have to move along to the shops, but your free to join me. Damn, why did he say that, now he's sure to join him. perhaps it was the pokémon that made people stare. Not that many people have such strong connections with pokémon, perhaps he was jealous. Yuki continued to walk. Riolu on the other hand, flipped himself around so he was facing backwards. He smiled at the male provokingly. Eevee continued to skip along, ignoring the stranger, as she had an attitude very much like her human friend. Yuki tried not to pay any attention to him, and continued to pass along the streets, hoping that the stranger wouldn't talk to him. |
Derek rolled out of bed at the usual time, shaken awake by Tetra, his Gardevoir. He quickly grabbed some clothes, and half-shuffled into the bathroom. He took a quick, hot shower, and got dressed. Coming out, Derek nodded to Tetra, slapping his worn baseball cap over his messy hair. When it came to stature, Derek was of a tall height of 6 foot 3, although his skinny frame made him appear taller. He had an extremely fast metabolism, something that he inherited from his mom.
He took the stairs two at a time, sliding into the kitchen and dining room. His mom was cooking bacon and eggs; Tetra was busy reading the newspaper over a cup of Orange Juice and an English muffin. Derek sat down across from Tetra, and his mom brought him a plate of food soon after. He tore into his breakfast, Tetra taking it much slower. The Gardevoir was essentially a member of the family, and was treated as though she were Derek's sister. This was not entirely bad, as it gave Tetra a higher position than that of a pet. "Alright," his mother said, kissing the top of his head, "I've got to get going now." Derek nodded, his mouth crammed full of scrambled eggs. Tetra said a brief mental farewell, and in a moment, the front door slammed shut. Derek finished up his breakfast, and dropped his and Tetra's plates into the sink. He then returned to the dining room and asked, "So, whaddaya want to do today?" Tetra set down the newspaper, stood up, and replied, I was hoping that perhaps we could go down to the department store today, and then perhaps visit the Ruins. Derek nodded, and grinned. Tetra may be a Pokemon, but she often acted as a teenage girl would. There were all sorts of posters up in her room, yes, his Pokemon had her own room, and she had various movies and romance novels cramming her small bookshelf. Of course, then there was the difference. In one corner of the room, she kept a heavy bag, which she often trained with. A shelf full of restored Pokeballs lined the headboard of her bed. Of course, they didn't really work, by they looked as though they had been made yesterday. Derek threw this thought aside, and led the way out the door, he and Tetra walking the few blocks to the towering department store. |
This is my first RP, so i apologize if it's bad
Keith turned the corner, panting, his Growlithe not far behind. "Get back here you Thief!" yelled the slightly overweight Butcher. "You'll have to be faster than that if you want to catch me!" Keith replied tauntingly, "Growwwlithe!" the Growlithe yelped happily, a chain of sausage links trailing out of it's mouth. He sprinted down the street and turned into an alleyway, he ran down it and went through a side door that led to the abandoned warehouse he called home. Keith sat on a dirty mattress in the middle of the warehouse "Good job boy." He said to the Growlithe. "Growlithe." it responded happily, still overjoyed at it's capture of the sausages. Keith broke the sausages into uneven halves, and gave the larger part to the Growlithe. "Here you go boy, you earned it." The Growlithe cooked the sausages with it's breath, and chomped it down hungrily Keith took his part of the food and lay down on the mattress, tired and exhausted. He ate the sausages and soon drifted into sleep, his Growlithe resting on his chest. Keith Hale, as he likes to be called, is an averaged sized teenager of about sixteen. He has scruffy brown hair and a slightly muscular build. His parents died in a fatal Pokemon accident when he was twelve, leaving him with only his growlithe. Since then, he learned how to live out on the street, by stealing and tricking people out of their money. A rebel and a troublemaker, he's up for anything as long as it involves adventure, with his loyal growlithe always by his side. |
erm dude, you need to go to the OOC page and sign up first so we know what your charector is like and all that. You can't just start randomly. -ps, still waiting for koopafan to reply-

Chapter 1 Part 2
Michael Sheranto Michael looked at the guy. He looked quite anxious at the fact some random stanger walked up to him. He turned around and said " Uh, hi there. I, have to move along to the shops, but your free to join me". He then looked worried, anxious, scared of what hell Michael might be. The only reason Michael really approached the person was that he wanted to check out his pokemon. The person started walking, well more of a fast walk than a normal one. Michael's Manectric then emerged out of his pocket probably to have a bit of fun. It wasn't a good time so he went after the guy. He caught up and said "Hey can i check out your pokemon? They look cool." Things got worse, his Manectric scowled angrilly at a herdier a few metres away. The herdier turned around and started running at his Manectric. It jumped on it and started biting it. Manectric used crunch in anger and threw it away. Michael then realised that the Herdier was the polliceman's. Things are getting bad... P.S Sorry for the late reply Crimson. |
Yuki - Idiot
What an idiot this person was, having an uncontrollable manectric out of his pokéball, and then notifying a policeman of his slightly wild pokémon, what an idiot. A flock of people swarmed around curiously to watch the scene unfold, as the manectric and the policeman were standing face to face with each other. The guy's at riik of getting his pokémon taken off him, does he have any idea what he is doing. Yuki slipped away through the small croud and dashed towards the supermarket. He quickly returned eevee and riolu to there pokéballs, hopefully un-noticed, as pokémon weren't aloud in the department store. He then headed over to a certain clothes shop he liked, radiant reminder, and entered it gingerly. Three quarters of the store was womans clothes, so Yuki felt quite awkward here, but eevee was a girl, so he was at risk of being seen picking accessories. Yuki almost wished he was a girl, so that people wouldn't stare at him, thinking he was some kind of pervert when he picked up a ribbon or a set of bunny ears. He darted around the shop trying to select the perfect accessory, whilst looking the least bit suspicious. Yuki picked up a small golden cape from the babies isle, along with a bright blue novelty wizards hat, and took them to the till. In secret, he had wanted to get her something a bit more cute, but didn't want people thinking he was dirty. As he stepped out of the shop he breathed a sigh of relief and started to head down the corridors, passing several decent shops on the way. Something springed to Yuki's mind.... Since when do policemen keep pokémon? Was that a real policeman, or was he a pokémon trainer? If he was a trainer, surely it wouldn't go unnoticed, and maybe that kid might be able to slip away. yuki hated thinking about him, he was odd and that was that. He set his mind towards planning his route home. |
Chapter 1, Part 3- Trouble
Michael Sherranto Michael looked around to see loads of people gathering around him in a circle. Michael scanned the people watching to see the guy look at him like he was stupid. The walked off and that was when a guard appeared. He called to Michael holding handcuffs. Michael, as smart as he is, thought of a plan and said "Manectric! Spin around and use flamethrower!" Manectric span around as fast as he could and scorched the ground around him causing the flames to rise and people to run. Next he told his trustful hound to use iron tail to make a gap. The pokemon used iron tail on some fire and they ran out. Looking back he saw that men were putting out the fire. He then returned his Manectric and ran out over to the route nearest to him, Goldenrod isn't safe anymore. What next? |
Conflict In Ilex Forest
Justin felt a paw on his forehead and opened his eyes to see absol staring at him. Absol quietly growled then looked over at some bushes. "what is it?" Justin said, yawning as he sat up. "Haunter, go check it out, I'll wake up the others". Haunter nodded and faded away. "Spoink! Marowak! Wake up!". Spoink sat up on its tail and Marowak jumped down from a tree and leaned on its bone like a cane. Haunter reappeared and started talking and moving its hands trying to communicate. "Danger?" Haunter nodded, then started waving its hands like crazy. Justin's eyes opened wide as he realized some of The Proven were near. "Ok, how many and where are they" Haunter held up 3 fingers and pointed north. "Alright, here's the plan" Justin squatted down, grabbed a stick and started drawing in some dirt. "Haunter, you're going to appear infront of them, don't do anything, just scare them. Absol, I want you to sneak up behind and use razorwind. Marowak use bonemerang on the two guys to the side. Spoink use confuse ray on them as soon as Absol and Marowak strike." Justin grabbed a fallen branch and stood up. "I'll take care of the last guy". The Proven guards were walking along a trail when Haunter appeared in front of them, Haunter let out a screech and all three of the guards backed up in fear. Absol calmy walked up, the guards turned around as Absol's blade started glowing white, with a flick of it's head Absol sent three blades of air, knocking the guards down. Spoink hopped over and confused them all, they got back up, only for two of them to get clubbed in the head by Marowak. The last one dropped to his knees and put his hands on his head. Justin walked up and held the branch like a baseball bat. "You should tell whoever is in command not to patrol this forest anymore." Justin swung the branch and knocked out the guard with a blow to the head. "Good job guys, return!" returning Spoink, Haunter, and Marowak to their pokeballs Justin turned to Absol. "We better run, we've probably got an hour before they wake up." Justin and Absol took off running down the trail. Justin and Absol walked out of the Ilex Forest and looked at the route before them. Justin looked up and saw the radio tower in the distance. "Goldenrod City, let's see if it's really as good as people say it is." Jumping off a ledge Justin turned towards Absol. "I'll race ya". The two took off running down the path towards the city. |

Skylar yawned and stretched; light was peaking in through the musty window that led to the alley. Geez, how long have I been asleep? she thought, rubbing her eyes and turning toward her slumbering Pokemon. Per usual, Squirtle, Espeon, and Riolu were snuggled together under Flygon's wing. Skylar smiled at them and stood up, stretching with a yawn. At the sound of her owner stirring, Espeon opened her big purple eyes and glanced in Skylar's direction.
"Good morning!" Skylar laughed as Espeon left Flygon's cozy wing and jumped onto her shoulder. "Peon! Peon!" Espeon purred as Skylar scratched behind her ear. Riolu, who had been leaning on Espeon while asleep, tumbled on top of Squirtle now that his backrest was gone. The two awoke with a start and instantly began bickering. Flygon, who had been woken up by the noise, gave the two an angry stare, which quieted the much smaller Pokemon out of embarrassment. Skylar laughed, then turned toward the shattered window. "I figured we would go exploring the streets today," she mused, a sly smirk coming across her face, "and see what kind of mischief we can get into." She glanced back at her Pokemon as they walked up behind her. "Riolu, since you got to walk around yesterday, I think it's Squirtle's turn." Riolu whined complainingly while Squirtle grinned in excitement. Flygon looked away. "Flygon, honey," Skylar began, placing her hand on his head, "You know I wish I could walk around with you too. Once we get to Kanto, you won't ever have to be in your Pokeball again! Okay?" Flygon gave her a sad smile and nodded. With that, Skylar returned Riolu and Flygon to their Pokeballs, and placed them in her backpack, making sure to put Flygon's in it's special compartment. Espeon on her shoulder and Squirtle clutching to her hat, Skylar climbed carefully out of the broken window and into the streets of Goldenrod. |
Yuki - Daytrip
Yuki returned to his home, his parents waiting eagerly with bags packed, ready for the holiday. Yuki was very much surprised that his parents were this supportive to go all the way to the lake of rage, and there reasons varied. 'Better work,' dad said, 'Better shops,' mum said, but to Yuki, freedom. As Yuki finished packing he shoved is 3 pokéballs in the bottom of his bag before skidding towards the front door, where the coach was waiting for him. It was a large holiday coach, and cheap too, and was heading all around goldenrod picking up people for the road trip to the lake of rage. Perhaps more trainers were heading on this coach too for the festival. As Yuki and his mother hopped onto the bus his Dad, who at the last minute decided not to go, waved goodbye to the two as they headed off. Yuki settled himself into one of the most comfortable chairs he had ever felt. The coach was evenly spaced, and good for space. there were exactly 48 seats on the bus, and Yuki and his mum were the only one's on at the moment. Minutes past and soon the bus had 14 people on board, 2 came without company and therefore the seats next to them were presumably not going to be used. There were 10 seats left on the bus. As the bus parked itself in the allyways next to an abandoned factory of some sorts, everyone on the coach glared out the window, wondering what was going on. The coach driver got off his seat, and walked off the coach, presumably waiting for someone. What was going on? |
Skylar walked down the streets of Goldenrod, gazing at the shops that contained expensive items that she could only dream of someday obtaining. She chewed on a piece of stale bread from her pocket, daydreaming of a different life in Kanto. She'd be wealthy and own a glorious mansion with hundreds of different Pokemon playing outside in her spacious yard, free from their pokeballs forever...
"Squirtle!" the turtle-like Pokemon yelped from his place on her head, snapping Skylar back to reality. Both of her Pokemon were tugging on her hair. "Whaaa-" she swatted at them, confused, then felt the vibrations in the street beneath her. Her head turned and she saw a bus chugging down the street toward her. Skylar yelped and jumped to the sidewalk, cursing herself for being so ignorant. She watched the coach drive away, and a thought crossed her mind. "Hey guys..." Skylar glanced from Espeon to Squirtle. "How about we..." There was no need for her to finish. The two Pokemon knew her too well. "Espi!" "Squirt!" they shouted in agreement. Skylar grinned and turned to follow the bus down the road, as curiousity got the better of her. After Skylar had finally caught up, she saw that the bus had stopped at an abandoned factory. Those richies on board must be so creeped out right now, she thought with a snort, assuming the passengers were wealthy. She leaned up against a wall to the right of the bus, hoping not to draw attention to herself. Squirtle was tucked safely away in his pokeball, and Espeon was peaking out from under Skylar's beanie. Her curiousity began gnawing at her again when the driver hopped out and began walking away. |
Tabris-Intro
Tabris walked through the streets of Goldenrod his sister, Tsuya, close behind. He rolled the Battle Token he recieved from a stranger a couple days previous between his fingers. It wasn't too late in the day and the breeze that weaved through the buildings, whipped his already messy white hair. Also accompanied by his Pokemon friend Snease, which had an unusual green colored feather, while sporting a dark violet scarf, that matched her trainer's. The three weren't particularily heading in anywhere in general, as they didn't truely have much to accomplish today, being that the Johto League Competition was still aways off. Tsuya nibbled on a slice of pepper jack cheese that Tabris had stolen from the Departments Store sometime earlier in the morning. Tabris was gifted with the skills of a shinobi, silence, stealth, agility, and other useful talents. He cared deeply for his little sister, which is why he took the League Challenge to begin with. Tabris looked back to his sibling with a smile, hidden behind his over sized scarf. Then pulling out a dry slice of turkey, he had also swiped, from a small pouch that hung between his number of belts handing it off to the dark weasle that held pace at his feet. The Pokemon sqeaked a happy reply. Noticing a bus not far in the distance parked next to an abandoned factory, the driver exiting. He also noted a girl who stood close by. "Hey Tsuya, want to go on a trip? I've got bus fare curtosy of a couple from the Shop." He half lied to his sister, who knew it was just one of his dumb jokes he'd use to be a "better role model." She however nodded silently finishing up her breakfast. The two didn't know or really care where the bus would be heading as they were usually on the move reguardless. Once Tabris moved into the proximity of the bus he caught a glimps of a small purple Pokemon, peeking from under the girl's beanie. 'An Espeon?' Tabris noted mentally, 'perhaps this trip will be more interesting than I thought.' He continued. He didn't stop to say anything since he rarely did so, instead pressed onward to be at the bus' door which was left open by the driver. Avoiding the sight of the driver he allowed his sister and Pokemon to board first, then swiftly followed. The trio sat down across from a boy and a woman, Tabris presumed to be the boy's mother. He didn't have much other reason to start a conversation other than to know where the bus would be taking them so he staired, almost coldly to the boy. And out of pure curiosity he questioned in a rather deep voice considering his age. "Happen to know where we may be heading?" |
Yuki - Heading where?
Yuki turned his head to the trio on the seat across from him, and gazing in awe as the boy carelessly held out the tag indicating it was involved wit the league, therefore the guy must be a trainer. Yuki really wanted to tell the boy to put it away but he couldn't muster up enough courage to say so and instead answered the previous question. "The lake of rage, we are heading to the festival, which I presume you're part of." Yuki quickly glanced at the trainer's tag, before checking in front of his seats to check if anyone heard, instead a different face peered around the side. "I'm in it too, my name's Gina," a young girl said, overhearing Yuki speak. So there were tree trainers on the bus... Were there more on the bus, or more to come? |
Tabris-Back to the Lake
Completely ignoring the added comment of, "we are heading to the festival, which I presume you're part of." Tabris' eyes widened with shock at the ansewer being, "The Lake of Rage." He knew the place well being it was just north of his hometome of Mahogany, and hasn't been there since he and his sister began traveling. 'Of course we'd be heading there.' He monologued. Tsuya sat oblivious looking up to another girl that introduced herself as, Gina. Snease looked up at her trainer and knew exactly what he was poundering. "Sell, Snee" The Pokemon wispered cautiously. Tabris patted the weasle on the head. "It's alright" He assured his worried companion. Moving his focus to the girl Gina, Tabris flipped his tag with his thumb catching it before placing it in his pouch, he'd seen the boy flash an eye at it. He never cared about the laws and didn't see a reason of hiding the fact he was a trainer, being he was on a bus that seemed to already hold others. "So the Lake of Rage...Been awhile." He spoke more to himself than anybody. |
Reaching Goldenrod City
Justin and Absol ran along the dirt path on Route 34. "Ok, I think we're almost there..." Justin said, stopping to catch his breath. Absol gave a nob then looked around as Justin dropped his backpack off his shoulders and sat on a log. "Alright Absol, lets have a quick break before we get there". Justin reached into his bag, tossed some bread to Absol, then got some for himself. Halfway through eating Absol jerked his head up and looked back at the forest. "Sol!" Absol yelled, staring at the forest. "What are you-" Justin stopped when he started hearing voices. "This way! I think I see him!". Justin realized the guards had finally woken up. *throwing his backpack over his shoulder he took off running towards the city. "Comon Absol! We can't fight them here!". The two ran into Goldenrod, the proven members still on their tail. They dove into an alley next to the department store and watched as the proven ran by. "Well, we're here now". Justin leaned up against the wall and gave a sigh of relief. "I'm just glad they didn't catch us. Although I'm not sure how we're going to get out of here now." He looked over and saw a bus stop just on the other side of the alley. "Awesome, I think I just found our ticket out of here." Walking out of the alley Justin watched a guy and a Sneasel hop onto the bus then noticed a girl with an espeon staring at the bus. Justin shrugged then walked around to the front. "Where'd the driver go?" He looked at Absol, who tilted his head in confusion. "I'm not exactly sure if pokemon are aloud on this bus, so stay as close to me as possible." They stepped onto the bus and walked to the very back. Once Justin sat down Absol sat on the floor between Justin's legs, looking at everyone else on board. Justin put on his baseballcap and sunglasses and muttered to Absol "Let's hope this thing gets going soon, looks like our friends might be coming this way". Justin pointed out the window to a group Proven members down the road. |
Tabris-The boy with an Absol
"Sneeeh." Snease hissed, though non-threatenly, and rather quietly as an Absol with a male trainer passed by moving to the back of the bus. Tabris placed a hand over his Pokemon's chest in a gesture to stay put. "Sel, sneasel..." she complained, but didn't move from her place. Looking past Gina and the boy paired with his mother to the newcommer, who quickly placed a on cap and shades. Tabris seen the boy point out the window, and turned to face the direction. Outside he watched a few Proven Guards progressing from down the road. 'Definately more interesting than I had thought.' |
Yuki
The bus was quickly turned into a hazard area, as two trainers hopped onto the bus and were quickly in some sort of conversational conflict. Yuki wasn't paying attention, but stared at the girl outside the bus. the driver was still outside the bus, waiting for something and hadn't noticed te two people get on. Another ting to note was the large absol with one of the two, and a blue pokemon Yuki couldn't quite recognise. He then noticed the bus driver aproaching the girl. What kind of bus is this anyways? |
Skylar watched two trainers make their way onto the bus; one of them with a girl she guessed to be his sister. Her eyes travelled along the windows and she caught the gaze of a boy looking out the window at her. She smiled slightly at him, a plan forming in her head to get herself onto the bus. Lost in thought, she turned and walked straight into the bus driver, who seemed to have been heading toward her. "Wha-?" she mumbled, stumbling back in shock. Espeon clutched onto her head.
"Er..Sorry sir, I didn't see you there," Skylar flashed the bus driver a cunning smile. |
Bus driver - lol
"Come on now, you don't want to be late for the festival. keep this between you and me, but everyone on this bus is aware of the league. Hop on quickly." the bus driver showed a quick and sly smile before heading onto the bus, and awaiting skylar to follow him on and take her seat. |
Skylar's grin grew wider. "Wow! Really? Thanks!" She had to restrain jumping up and down like a little girl. She followed the driver up and onto the bus, surveying the people on board. It seemed that the bus driver was right; these people were just trainers, not rich folks like she'd thought. She spotted a seat in the back next to a boy with an Absol. He looked friendly enough, so she headed back and plopped down in the seat next to him.
"Hi! I'm Skylar," she smiled and stuck out her hand. Espeon jumped down onto her lap and looked around curiously. |
Bus Ride - Part 1
Absol growled at the window. "It's ok boy, I don't think they know we're here." Justin whispered to Absol. He heard someone land in the seat next to him, then some talk and turned around to see a girl talking to him. He reached out and shook her hand "I'm Justin." He looked away for a second to watch the guards then turned back to the girl. "So uh, you know where this bus is headed?" |
Tabris-A Bus Full of Trainers Part 1?
Tabris watched the girl he noted before boarding pass by, heading to the back of the bus to sit next to the shade wearing boy. He also smiled, though it was invisable behind his over-sized scarf, when his sister pointed with excitement to the Espeon that crawled onto the girl's lap, she enjoyed all the Eeveelutions. "Patience Tsuya, I'm sure we'll be introduced once we reach the lake." Tabris told his sister who began shaking with anticipation. Snease however glared at the psychic Pokemon from her seat, she definately wasn't fond of any psychic type. Maybe she was even a little jealous as she pulled the back of her violet scarf, which was large enough to fit over her head like a hood. "Snea-sel." She pouted to herself, crossing her arms. Tabris turned back to look out the window at the Proven members that seemed to have lost track of the boy with the Absol. It wasn't hard to realize that it was he they were searching for. With the bus driver on board as well Tabris figured they'd be on the move soon enough. |
"Nice to meet you Justin," Skylar glanced down at his Absol, who was growling at something. Her gaze shifted out the window to see what they were looking at. Just a couple guards, she thought, they aren't a rare sight..who cares?
Her attention returned to Justin as he spoke, inquiring about where they were going. "The bus driver said something about a festival," she said, then giggled with embarrassment. "I'm not exactly sure honestly. The driver must've thought I belonged on this bus... I don't even have a bus ticket!" Skylar shrugged sheepishly. Espeon looked up at Tsuya as she pointed at her. The purple Pokemon jumped out of Skylar's lap and ran over to the girl. "Espi! Espi!" she mewed with a smile. |
Tabris-A Bus Full of Trainers Part 2 (Tsuya and Espeon)
Tsuya giggled happily and egerly reached to scratch the stranger's Pokemon behind both of it's long ears, careful to avoid touching the shining red gem on it's forehead. "Eon!" Tsuya barked back, she wasn't too familiar with many Pokemon, but knew her stuff about Eevee. Tabris watched his sister and the Pokemon which seemed friendly enough not to pose a threat, while petting Snease through it's scarf who growled disapprovingly at the newcommer's Pokemon. |
Bus Ride - Part 2
Justin laughed abit, "I don't have a ticket either, I just walked on while the driver was distracted." He turned and looked out the window again and watched the Proven Guards turn around and walk the opposite direction. He sighed in relief and layed his head back. So, a festival eh?, Justin thought to himself, I'm guessing there's going to be trainers there. He rubbed Absol's head for a few seconds. And I can finally battle someone.... |
Skylar's gaze followed Espeon, but, seeing as the girl wasnt harming her Pokemon, she turned her attention back to Justin. "Yeah.. I wonder what kind of suff's gonna be there." Her gaze grew dreamy. "I've never been to a festival before. I've always wanted to though. They seem so exciting!"
Espeon grinned up at Tsuya in pleasure, and jumped up onto her lap. "Peon! Espi!" The purple Pokemon heard a growl of displeasure from another certain Pokemon behind her, and turned her attention to Sneasle. Sensing Snease's dislike, Espeon stuck out her tounge and turned back to Tsuya. |
Tabris-A Bus Full of Trainers Part 3 (Battle Quickly Adverted-Tsuya Speaks Pokemon?)
Snease's red eyes narrowed as the Espeon presented it's tongue, turning carelessly back to Tsuya who began gently playing with the tufts of fur just below it's ears. "Sneh!" Snease replied extending her two razor like claws from her left hand in a battle ready position. Tabris sternly locked eyes with his Pokemon shaking his head. "Not on the bus, remember we snuck on" He whispered. Immediately retracting her claws Snease crossed her arms again, and turned to face out the window. "Eeeon...eeeon...Espeon." Tsuya sang, admiring the purple cat-like Pokemon's split tail. Which she knew well not to mess with. Instead she just continued to stroke the Pokemon from ear to shoulder. |
Espeon purred. She really was enjoying this; irritating the Sneasle and being petted by Tsuya. Her ears flicked up as the girl began singing, and she swayed her tail to the rhythm. Sneasle seemed to be getting more irritated, as Espeon noticed it's now battle-ready claws, but she wasn't the least bit frightened. The weasel-like Pokemon wouldn't dare attack her now, while she was on it's trainer's sister's lap.

Derek Stonemason - Goldenrod City Derek finally fell onto his couch with a woosh, shopping with Tetra was pleasant, but hard on the legs. She had acted as a teenage girl would, lookin at clothing, talking about guys... Though she didn't say anything past their appearances, and she was moderate about that. She had ended up convincing Derek to buy her a pair of specially made black fingerless gloves, along with a short brimmed black fedora festooned with a red ribbon around its base. She looked quite cute in the outfit, however she insisted that they stop at the local coffee shop for a drink before heading home. Derek contemplated heading to the Ruins to train, but there wasn't many places he could go where he already wasn't too powerful to train much. He had to rely on trainr battles, and many of the usual trainers had learned to avoid his deadly trio of large Pokemon. As such, Derek was stuck sitting on the couch, waiting for the day to wind down and his mother to get back. His daydreams were interrupted by the sound of his vibrating PokeGear, which he picked u. He saw that an unknown number was calling, so he picked up, answering, "Hey, this is Derek." "We know who you are, Derek Stonemason," the man on the other end of the line said. It was a deep, ominous voice, and Derek could just imagine a scar-faced large man that wrestled Ursarang in his free time being the owner of it. "Go outside and get onto the bus that will arrive momentarily. Be sure to bring your token," the voice continued. Derek was about to ask who he was talking to, which he expected at least a dodgy answer to, but only got the dial tone in his ear, marking that the other line had hung up. Derek stood, many questions buzzing through his mind. How did they know his number? How did they know about him? Who in the hell were they?!? Whoever they were, they had been keeping close tabs on Derek. The embelem that had been given to him all those months ago weighed heavily from the pocket he had seen onto the inside of his shirt, and it felt deathly cold. However, Derek's thoughts were intererrupted by Tetra walking down the stairs, her attire that had been recently acquired being donned. Derek forgot everything he had been thinking about, and she smiled at him. He looked her up and down appraisingly- wait, was that eyeshadow? It turned out that yes, Tetra now wore a small bit of black eye shadow, framing her beautiful blue eyes. Tetra then broke the silence by saying, What? Is there something wrong? Derek began stammering, his brain locked in place, and Tetra chuckled. She looked over to the front door, behind quick the hissing sound of a parking brake could be heard. Looking back inquisitively to Derek, Tetra asked, Who do you think would be here? Derek's brain finally kick started again, and he replied, "Don't you remember that festival we were invited to? Apparently, they sent a bus to pick everyone up!" He grinned, and opened the door, walking out into the midday sun. Tetra was not far behind, and the both of them boarded the bus that awaited them. The bus was moderately full, and thankfully Derek was able to find a pair of seats that were unoccupied. He and Tetra sat, and the bus once again began moving. They were off to the Johto League's Trainer Festival! |
Yuki - Finnally
Yuki sat on the bus which was now in full motion with dim eyes half asleep. There were many people on this bus, on average about 30-40 and most came in pairs, some came alone. Yuki was too tired to notice this at first, but as he looked closely at the bus driver he noticed that the bus driver was not at the wheel... No-one was. Yuki stood up, wanting badly to say something, but was made to sit down by his mother, which was quite an embarrassing sight. The bus driver then walked through the isles. Yuki was unsure whether anyone else had noticed the missing driver, he wished they did. "Welcome all," the bus driver began, "to the league festival." A slight gasp came out of Yuki's mouth, shocked that everyone on this bus was part of it. "Indeed, I understand what you are thinking, how is it that we all ended up here? Well I planned it all!" And with that, the male fat bus driver pressed a button on the wheel, and the windows were suddenly turned dark, then he clenched the bottom of is face to start peeling it off... The person underneath the mask was... Alder, champion of Unova... "Yes yes, I understand, cheesy right? Well this was then only way to get you all here, if I hadn't done so, you would all have headed to the lake of rage on your own accord. You all got here in different ways, correct?" No sound could be heard from anyones mouth, only silence. "Hmph, usually that's when the chattering happens, nether the less, we will be stopping soon in Mahogony town, as we will actually be holding the festival in the old team rocket base!" Yuki couldn't believe what he was hearing, but him being Alder, he trusted the mans word and settled back into his chair, his mouth shut. (-Sorry was planning on making longer but I'm off for the weekend. See you sunday!-) |
Skylar's mouth hung open. Alder?! Champion of Unova?!
She'd heard of him before, and could only dream of someday actually meeting him. Her gaze wandered around the bus. So these were her...opponents? Friends? Only time would tell. Her eyes fell on the couple that had just entered the bus: a boy and his Gardevoir that looked more human than Pokemon. She was decked out in stylish clothes, and was even wearing makeup! Skylar frowned slightly, feeling a twinge of jealousy. Even this Pokemon had it better than her! She shook her head and concentrated on the festival again. Flygon was stuck in her mind. Hopefully she'd finally be able to reveal him...let him walk around with her.. Her hand touched his pokeball, which was deep within her bag. "Don't worry," she murmured, "Soon.." |
Bus Ride - Part 3
Justin opened his eyes to see the bus driver close the windows. The driver said something about being Alder and mentioned the league. So these are all trainers, he thought to himself, well this should be interesting. He looked around at the trainers and their pokemon, Gardevoir and Espeon should be no match for Absol and Haunter, his gaze switched to sneasel, although that'll be a problem for my whole team.... He pulled the battle coin out of his pocket and flipped it around in his hand to get a good look at it. He picked up his backpack, checked his pokeballs, then put his cap and shades in it. Let the battles begin... |
Tabris- A Bus Full of Trainers Part 4 (Heading off)
Soon after the bus started moving, it again stopped at the driveway of a random house. From the front door exited another boy, follwed by a attire sporting Gardevoir. Snease slapped her head at the sight of yet another psychic Pokemon. Tabris watched the boy and his Female companion find their empty seats, but didn't say anything. As he soon heared a voice comming from the aisles. Witnessing the absance of the bus driver behind the wheel he watched the "fat man" peel off his own face, which endded up being a desguise to hide his true identity, Alder the Unova Champion. The spikey orange haired man welcomed all the trainers on the bus, and announced that they'd be heading to an abandoned Team Rocket hideout in Mahogany. Tsuya was still preoccupied with the purple Pokemon on her lap and laughed as Espeon's tail followed the rhythm of her song, not much said involved her attention anyway. Tabris, however not knowing Alder still listened to the rather towering man intently. 'Mahogany,' He repeated in his mind. A wave of saddness flowed past him, but it was sub-contious, as he suddenly felt a rush of excitement hearing that the Festival involved the League. His chance to win a new life for his sister as well as himself was underway. |
Derek Stonemason - Goldenrod City > Mahogany town Derek looked up as the portly bus driver announced that the trainers currently on the bus were all a part of the Jhoto league. He looked around a bit before being drawn back to the bus driver, who turned out to be none other than the legendary Alder, Unova region's champion. People began muttering, mainly excitedly. Derek, however, chuckled as he recognized the deep voice from his PokeGear not ten minutes earlier. This warranted a questioning look from Tetra, but Derek was too caught up in what the Champion was saying. They would be traveling to Mahogany town, as the invitation stated, but they would actually be having the festival inside of the remaining Team Rocket base there. Derek was ecstatic, and he couldn't wait to get going. They were going to meet so many trainers...and crush them all. He patted where his three gargantuan Pokemon lay in their Pokeballs around his waist, and beamed with excitement. |
Espeon curled up on Tsuya's lap with a yawn and closer her eyes. Her tail still flicked to the same beat. She'd noticed the physic-type Gardevoir come onto the bus, but didnt think much of it.
Skylar sighed and leaned back against her seat. "I've never been to Mahogany Town," she said, looking at Justin. "Have you?" |
Tabris- A Bus Full of League Trainers Part 1
Sneasel removed her gaze from out the window toward Alder for a moment and snorted, then turned her focus to the boy and his Gardivoir. Seeing that the Espeon had moved from her spot and was comforatbly hogging her companion's attention. While knowing that the bus was truly safe for Pokemon she lept down from her seat and progressed over to the two. She didn't like psychic type Pokemon, but staired at the Gardevoir's gloves, hat, and especially the black eye liner, to Snease this made her look more dark, and she rather enjoyed it. Snease then motioned to her scarf, which was still up like a hood. "Sehs. Sneasel." She complimented the Gardevoir on her human outfit. Snease could also sense that this Pokemon's trainer in particular was of a seemingly different level from the rest, and glared at him suspiciously. Tabris thought a moment on scoulding his Pokemon, but as long as she wasn't causing trouble she seemed to be fine. Closing his eyes listening to his sister press on, singing softly as an Espeon would, he figured a nap would pass a majority of the time it would take to get to Mahogany Town. |
Bus Ride - Part 4
"Nope, I've never made it this far into Johto" Justin said closing his pack and looking up at Skylar, "Honestly, Goldenrod is the farthest I've ever been from Cherrygrove". Absol finally woke up and looked around. "Sol?" Absol said as it tilted its head when it saw the human-like Gardevoir. The bus hit a bump causing Absol to lose it's balance and stumble. Growling, Absol sat back down and stared at the window. Justin looked down at Absol then back to Skylar, "Although Mahogany has interested me, seeing as how it has an old criminal base and it's near the Lake of Rage". |
Espeon jolted at the bump, almost flying out of Tsuya's lap. Her ear twitched in annoyance; she'd been sleeping peacefully until then. But soon she was over it, and began resting once more.
Skylar bit back a smile as Absol stumbled at the bump. She looked back up at Justin. "I've been in Goldenrod..." she paused and coughed, "...as long as I can remember. I pretty much grew up on my own, so I didn't travel much." She shrugged and looked out the window. "I've heard many legends about the Lake of Rage though. Hopefully we'll still be able to see it." She didn't know why she was talking so much to this boy. Heck, she barely even knew him. But it felt...nice. Nice to finally be able to talk to someone. She had lived alone for a long time, and before then, her protective grandparents hardly ever let her see the light of day. She never really had any friends. But now that she was around people just like her, she finally felt accepted. |
Derek Stonemason - Goldenrod City > Mahogany Town Tetra glanced down as she noticed the Sneasel at her feet, and grinned at the compliment. She knew from experience that the species had an uneven disposition towards psychic Pokemon, which made this act slightly surprising. Still smiling, Tetra replied, Why thank you, little one. You too look quite nice. The green really compliments your eyes. She ruffled the small weasel Pokemon's head, and sat back up. Derek was slightly sidetracked as he realized that he had forgotten to tell his mom that he was going to be gone for what might be an entire day. He quickly flipped open his PokeGear, not even noticing the glare he warranted from the small Sneasel on the far side of Tetra. Opening the first quick dial on his list of contacts, Derek held the phone up to his ear, waiting for it to connect him. After a few rings, an annoying computerized voice told him that the number was unavailable. He tried a few more times, with similar results. "Don't worry, we've contacted your family. They know where you are, and that you will be perfectly safe." said Alder, who had noticed Derek's distress. The champion clapped a heavy hand on Derek's shoulder and added, "Now smile and be happy! You're off to the Johto League!" |
Yuki - The base
The bus swerved onto the street just next to the daycare, and Alder then opened a hole in the bottom of the bus. He then instructed everyone to go down the hole one by one to avoid anyone getting suspicious. As everyone entered the base the view was amazing. The place looked more like a party room than anything, and was about 20 metres below the earth, therefore moderately loud sounds couldn't be heard from above. It was large and slightly domed, and decorated with banners of pink and green from all around. In the centre was a large rounded table with plenty of food and refreshments on offer, and to the right was a large double door. "Right guys, the rules! No battling in this room, pokémon taller than the average male hight plus 50cm please contain in pokéballs in this room, however I doubt any of you will have pokémon that tall... Unless you have a wailord." He laughed but no-one laughed with him. "Ah right. the room to the right is the battle room but we'll save that untill later. Also through there are your bunks, as you'll stay here for the night. Any of you who were not aware of this, like I said earlier to one young man, your families have been told and are happy for this. Along side these rules, please do not make too much noise, wouldn't want the pokémon in the daycare being disturbed now would we." With that he dismissed everyone to go and do there own thing whilst he catted to several people who had entered the room, one of them being the previous gym leader of this city whitney, who was apparently one of the combatants in this league. Yuki and his mother both went to view the bunks. Every room had 4 bunks, and there were 48 bunks in total making 12 rooms altogether. i guess they thought more people were coming with family. Yuki and is mother nabbed the room closest to the battle room meaning less walking to the main room, and Yuki secretly hoped no-one else would join them. The rooms were quite luxurious, and spacious, and weren't actually bunks. In each room there were four, white sheeted memory foam beds with two beds at one end and two at the other. Both pairs of beds that were on opposite sides from each other were both equidistant from each other, and all the wardrobes and storage units were all symmetrically placed. It was perfect. Yuki lay on the comfortable bed with his bag on the bed next to him ready for tonight's show. |
Tabris- The Base of the Festival
With a confused expression that lasted only a moment, Snease tilted her head to the Gardevoir. The Pokemon had replied kindly, but had even more of a human's way of doing so. Pulling back her hood, to fully reveil her complimented green feather Snease blushed a little as Gardevoir ruffled her head. She was caught off guard by the psychic Pokemon's human like actions, so she was making more than just a fashion statement with her outfit. She then had to question the stranger Gardevoir. "Why do you act like a human?" Of course the question was in Poketalk, and she asked while heading off the bus, and down the hole looking back to be sure that her Trainer was close behind. The bump awhile back had snapped Tabris from his sleep so he was fully prepared to head down to where the festival would be held. "Tsuya, c'mon it's time to get off the bus. Give the girl her Espeon back." He told his sister who promptly did so waving her temporary good bye to the purple Pokemon and it's trainer as she closely followed her brother into the large open room of the Festival. Alder had explained the lay out of the base, and advised against immediate battles. |
The Base - Part 1
"Alright, looks like we're here." Justin stood up, threw his bag over his shoulder and motioned for Absol to get up and follow him. The two walked down the aisle and went down the hole. Absol wandered off to look around as Justin leaned up against a wall, looking at all the trainers and their pokemon. He stood there listening to Alder talk about the rules then pushed off the wall and began walking. He snapped his fingers and Absol came running out of the crowd and looked up at him. "Comon, let's go find a room." The two walked around for a few minutes when Justin stopped and motioned to a room far from the battle room. "This should be good, it's further away from the battlefield so less likely that people will pick it." As they walked into the room, Justin slid his backpack off his shoulder and tossed it onto a bed. "Pretty nice place, you think the others will like this?" He turned to Absol who nodded in agreement. "I thought so too. Come on out guys!" Justin released his 3 other pokemon, who were happy to finally get some fresh air. Haunter found a dark corner and flew to it, spoink decided to start bouncing on the bed, and marowak leaned up against a wall and fell asleep. "Looks like you were right Absol", Justin said laying down on the bed, "Let me know when things start getting interesting" He put his cap on and slid it down over his eyes. |
Skylar waved to the little girl that had finally released her Espeon as she got off the bus. With the purple Pokemon in her arms, Skylar herself got off the bus and looked around the huge area that she would be staying in. "Well, I guess we should find a room," she said, looking down at Espeon. Her Pokemon nodded in agreement, and they looked around curiously. Skylar noticed a room about 4 places away from the battle area that hadn't been claimed yet, and briskly walked over. Her mouth dropped in awe at the sheer elegance of the room. It was luxury to her.
She set down her bag on one of the beds, and pulled out her pokeballs. "C'mon out guys!" she tossed the balls into the air, and one by one Squirtle, Riolu, and Flygon all appeared. "Take a look around, but don't go outside of the room. Okay?" Her four Pokemon yelped in agreement and went about exploring. Skylar sat on the bed, and wondered if anyone would room with her. I wouldn't mind, really, she thought as she watched her Pokemon play. Flygon looked happiest of all. |
Michael Sheranto- Base?
Michael was walking a bit in the forest when he remembered some thing. He needs to go get on the bus! He sprinted through the forest with loads of branches brushing his face when he finally got to a clearing. He hopped onto the bus to get ready for an adventure he has been waiting for. As he came in the bus driver said "Hello there, quick get a seat and lets get going!" Michael looked around and found a seat by a girl and he sat there. He suddenly from being tired, fell asleep for most of the trip. Micheal woke up at Mahogany town to see Alder, Unova champion there. He realised that Alder was by a hole that had a ladder by it so Michael walked over there and like everyone else, went down. Alder turned around and said "Right guys, the rules! No battling in this room, pokémon taller than the average male hight plus 50cm please contain in pokéballs in this room, however I doubt any of you will have pokémon that tall... Unless you have a wailord." He chuckled but nobody laughed with him. "Ah right. the room to the right is the battle room but we'll save that untill later. Also through there are your bunks, as you'll stay here for the night. Any of you who were not aware of this, like I said earlier to one young man, your families have been told and are happy for this. Along side these rules, please do not make too much noise, wouldn't want the pokémon in the daycare being disturbed now would we." Michael looked down the hallway of doors and went in to see a girl with an espeon. She seemed to also have a flygon which made Michael happy. "Hi, my name is Michael what's yours? I like your flygon by the way." Michael looked around the room whilst waiting for an answer. |
Skylar looked up at the boy that had introduced himself as Michael. "Hi! I'm Skylar, nice to meet you," she smiled at him.
Flygon glanced over as he heard his name, then grinned at the compliment. He turned back around and continued chasing Riolu and Squirtle around the suite. Espeon, who had been sitting with Skylar on the bed, lept down and ran after them. Skylar watched her Pokemon with a wary eye. "You guys be careful!" she yelled after them, but there was no response. She sighed and turned back to Michael. "Sorry about them," she shrugged, "Flygon hasn't been out of his pokeball in a while and he's going kinda crazy with his 'newfound freedom'," she snorted, then continued, "So, on a different subject, you're going to be my roommate then?" |
Tabris-Found a Room
Tabris looked over his shoulder and seen that Snease was still following the Gardevoir. It was rare to see her interact with other Pokemon, and since the battles were yet to take place he didn't see the harm in letting her be, for now. Placing a hand on his sister's shoulder he lead her over to the corridor of rooms. Many of which had already been swiped by other trainers. However it didn't really bring a bother about the duo, as they managed to find an empty room just fine. The room itself was far more luxourious than Tabris had imagined. 'Damn, those Rockets sure knew how to live.' He stated mentally moving throughout the room to examine it fully before heading back to the door. Turning back to lock eyes with his sister, "Well Tsuya, I'm going to go scope out the competition. You should be fine here, right?" He questioned getting a silent nod from Tsuya. Reaching to a necklace under his scarf which held his Pokemon convinently he tossed a beat-up yet opporational Great Ball to his sibling. "Take Lighter, just to be sure." He added before exiting the room moving back into the wide open main entry way. |
Flygon arched his wings; it felt so great to finally be able to stretch them. He looked at Squritle, Riolu, and Espeon, who were wrestling on the floor. With a sad sort of sigh, he turned away. He'd always felt somewhat left out due to his size. The three smaller Pokemon could easily play together, and could be released from their pokeballs whenever they wanted. Jealousy pierced his heart. He was abandoned in the beginning from his previous trainer because of the threat his size posed...Why wouldn't Skylar do the same?
These demonic, dark thoughts ate at Flygon's mind as he trudged out the door past a bewildered Skylar. "Y-You'll have to excuse me a moment," she stammered to Michael, and followed her dragon-like Pokemon out the door. "Flygon? Where are you going?" she asked, speed walking to catch up. But he simply ignored her, spread his wings, and flew high up into the air. He landed on a beam high up in the main room, yawned, and dozed off. Skylar stared in disbelief at her stubborn Pokemon. He'd never acted this way before. "Flygon! Get down here now!" she called, annoyed, at the green dragon, but he flicked his tail in dismissal at her. Skylar was fuming; smoke practically billowing out of her ears. |
Tabris-Espeon Girl with Problems.
Hearing a commotion Tabris turned and watched a dragon pokemon fly up to rest on a beam. It's obviously ferious trainer called out to it, but with no reaction from the Pokemon. Easily recognizing the trainer as the girl with the Espeon from the bus, Tabris sighed. Pressing over to her side he looked up at the stubborn Pokemon. "Having troubles?" He questioned in his deep quiet voice. Moving his almost seemingly glowing lime eyes to be looking into her's he awaited a reply. Tabris was intionally planning to just simply thank her for letting his sister play with her Espeon, but could tell that it would be a bad time to do so. 'So this girl has a Flygon as well. Wonder what else she'll have up her sleeve.' He pondered. |
Skylar groaned. Flygon's making a scene...Great. she thought with a huff. Someone came up next to her and she jumped in surprise. "Oh god, you scared me," she laughed nervously, as the stranger's lime-colored eyes lookied into hers. She stood there, mesmerized, then tore her gaze away and looked back up at Flygon. "Yeah... I don't know what's going on with him. Flygon's never acted up like this before." She bit the inside of her cheek, which she often did when she was thinking hard. I don't wanna look weak if I can't think of some way to get Flygon down... she thought, and sighed in frustration. She looked back at the boy, a plan forming in her head. "Hey...You wouldn't mind helping me out, would you?"
|
Michael Sheranto- The flygon
The girls name was skylar and she had a well, very naughty flygon. Michael was about to talk when person walked in who looked familiar as he saw him on the bus. Michael then turned around to hear Skylar say "Hey...You wouldn't mind helping me out, would you?" Michael as he heard that sent out his Metagross and said "Is it alright if i use a move on your flygon? I can get it down." Waiting for a reply Michael got ready for whatever will happen. His metagross looked rather pumped. |
Tabris-Mind helping me out?
Ignoring her startled reaction, Tabris had a nack for appearing along side people unnoticed. "What needs to be done?" He asked, his gaze still holding. He didn't really have any Pokemon that could reach the Flygon, but the expression on the stranger's face said that she had already started contemplating a plan. Tabris though seemingly withdrawn and malicious, was actually just untrusting and observant. He didn't truly have problems with helping people out, but rather didn't have much opportunity. Especially in a predicament such as this. Then a stranger appeared from the trainer's room, sending out a Metagross. 'Whoa!? That could prove a challenge.' He thought waiting to see what the boy had planned. Tabris was sceptical that the girl would allow the boy to use a technique on her Pokemon, but being a psychic type, he also figured he'd just have his Pokemon telepathically force the Flygon from it's perch. |
Skylar looked from Michael to the stranger with the green eyes. Michael had sent out his Metagross, and suggested using a move on Flygon. Skylar frowned slightly. "What move were you thinking? I don't want to provoke Flygon by hurting him..."
Gosh, this is chaotic, she thought, looking up at her now snoozing Pokemon. "Espeon, bring me my bag," she called back down the corridor leading to their room. The purple pokemon soon appeared, yellow backpack in tow. "Thanks." Skylar reached down and fished out Flygon's pokeball, then turned back to the stanger. "I just need to get Espeon up close enough to Flygon so she can use Psychic on him long enough to move him down towards us so I can get him back in his pokeball. Do you have a flying Pokemon, or perhaps a one that knows vine whip?" |
Derek Stonemason - Inside Rocket HQ Tetra, not one to be left behind, quickly stood and led Derek to the hole in the bottom of the bus. They dropped down into a passageway, which led to an elevator. Once everyone was successfully inside, the elevator began to descend into the earth. Tetra mentally located the Sneasel from earlier, and replied, To answer your question from earlier, the Gardevoir species evolved some time ago to directly link with humans. It's a part of our genetics to bond with our human trainer further than most, which is most likely the reason for my species more humanoid appearance and nature. So, really, I'm actually acting like a Gardevoir, which is just quite similar to human behavior. By the time she had finished her brief history lesson, the elevator doors were opening, revealing the large common room. Derek gasped at the immense size of the structure, but was dismayed that his Titan team would have to remain in their Pokeballs. The three gargantuan Pokemon that mad up his main battling team were much larger than the average male human. Besides, Tyranitar angered easily, and he might squish one of the small Pokemon that seemed so common. He then noticed that Tetra had struck up conversation with a small Sneasel, which had an interesting discoloration to its feather-like appendage. He shrugged, and told Tetra, "I'm going to go find us a place to sleep. You know how to find me." He wasn't lying. A part of a Gardevoir's link to their human trainer is an internal compass, always pointing to their human's position. Tetra nodded, and turned back to the Sneasel as Derek walked away. She then said, I never got a name from you. I am called Tetra, what about you? |
Michael Sheranto- Thinking ahead
The girl was very clever, she got her espeon to bring her bag and got out flygon's pokeball. "Very clever" Michael said to himself. The girl then said "I just need to get Espeon up close enough to Flygon so she can use Psychic on him long enough to move him down towards us so I can get him back in his pokeball. Do you have a flying Pokemon, or perhaps a one that knows vine whip?" No sorry but your are thinking ahead of me Michael chuckled. "Go on do your thing." Michael said to give her some encouragement. |
Tabris-Plot to Retrieve
Tabris narrowed his eyes, at the suggestion of a flying Pokemon or more so one with Vine Whip. Putting his hand under his scarf he felt the Pokeball that held his Ivysaur. He didn't really want to reviel his own Pokemon, rather see what everyone else had in store. "I'm sure that Metagross knows Psychic as well. You think your Pokemon will appreciate you forcefully returning it? Flygon seems rather peaceful." Tabris added looking back up to the sleeping dragon. "My name is Snease," She replied to Tetra watching her trainer and a small group of others trying to come up with a plan to bring down a Flygon, she knew she couldn't play a part so continued to conversate with the Gardevoir. "Truly? I had no idea your connection to humans was that adept." |
"I don't want to just leave him there," Skylar frowned, "But I don't really know what to do." She sighed and rubbed her head. This was really stressing her out.
Flygon glanced down at the group below him. He snickered; now he was finally getting some attention compared to the smaller Pokemon that seemed to always have the spotlight. He stood up and stretched, then casually jumped off the beam and hovered over the group's head. Skylar's eyes narrowed. "Come here Espeon," she murmured, picking up the psychic type. "Use Psychic on Flygon so he can't get away, but don't hurt him." Espeon nodded to her trainer, and the orb on her forehead began to glow. Flygon was engulfed in a blueish-purple light. He panicked and tried to escape, but to no avail, and Skylar held out his pokeball. "Flygon, return!" she commanded, and soon the large Pokemon was tucked safely away in his pokeball. She sighed and slumped her shoulders. "Sorry everybody." |
Tabris-Question on Flygon
Tabris removed his hand back out from his scarf to again be at his side. "Don't appologize, you took the matter into your own hands and accomplished your goal." He spoke glancing at Snease across the room then back to the girl. "You said your Flygon had never acted like this before?" He questioned. "We are in a competition, and I'm sure you want your Pokemon to be in top shape. Physically and mentally. Maybe you should try to figure out what got into it." He suggested. "Oh, and I am sorry for not lending my assistance." Tabris was a little caught off guard by the last statment that just blurted out, being he usually never said much to anyone. |
Michael Sheranto- Back to normal
Michael watched as the girl made her espeon use psychic on the flygon and then return him. She apoligised for all her troubles and then he stranger said "Don't appologize, you took the matter into your own hands and accomplished your goal." He looked at a sneasel and said "You said your Flygon had never acted like this before? We are in a competition, and I'm sure you want your Pokemon to be in top shape. Physically and mentally. Maybe you should try to figure out what got into it." Michael then spoke up "Wise observation, Your flygon seemed very stressed so i think it needs something that can calm it down. Maybe give it a game to play, it cheers mine up." |
The Base - Part 2
"Sol!" Absol jumped onto the bed and landed on Justin. "What is it?" Justin sat up and rubbed his eyes. Absol lifted a paw at the door. "Hmm.....", Justin grabbed his pokeballs "Return! All of you!" After returning his pokemon he put the pokeballs in his pocket then walked out of the room with Absol. Justin and Absol stood outside the door watching the commotion. So this girl also has a Flygon, and another trainer has a Metagross.... there's a lot of psychic types here... Absol started to run out to the group when Justin called it back "Let them be Absol, I want to see what kind of strategies they come up with". The girl finally got her Flygon put away. Justin looked down at Absol "Go scout the area, see if you can find a secluded space where we can train, I'll get some food for the other 3." Absol ran off and Justin walked over to the food table and started tossing stuff in his bag. |
Yuki
What was all the comnmotion in the main room. Yuki who was now curious, stood on his feet and trunged out of the room, through the battle hall and into the main room where he noticed quite the scene going on... and the boy from earlier was there too. What the hell was he doing here the reckless... wrench? Yuki couldn't really think of an insult as that was the most mad he had ever been at someone, and never really had use for insults. Now he knew what was happening he thought it would be awkward to just leave, so he passed the small crowd and sat on a bench near to the food table and picked off a strawberry, ans started slowly chewing. Out of the corner of Yuki's eye he noticed something yellow at the door to the room, it was ampharos! Ampharos sensibly walked over to Yuki after he had acknowledged he was at the door, and was closely followed by eevee and riolu, which tended to be quite a popular pokémon among this group. The two younger pokémon were both clinging to ampharos's side as they ingored everything beside them and walked over to Yuki, who gretted them all with a smile. The ampharos ten went about gathering bits of food for the younger pokémon to eat since they couldn't reach the high table, yet. Yuki had though about this a lot actually, considering Lucario will be tall, and all of eevee's evolutions are small, but perhaps an umbreon or an espion will be able to use it's psychic powers instead, which gave Yuki a base on what he wanted eevee to evolve into, but he still wanted to know what eevee wanted, he was just clueless as to how to retrieve that information... picture cards? Yes that was an idea, but not now, maybe later when there's less going on. Yuki sat watching the Flygon commotion with great interest as to why the pokémon was being so arogant. I mean it was quite big after all, so if it was angry it would have crushed something by now. No this pokémon was feeling sadness or even jealousy, but what reason would it have to be jealous. Yuki had always wanted to train a flygon after he saw how they looked in an old magazine, he never dreamed of seeing one up close. |
Skylar put Flygon's pokeball into her bag, and lifted it onto her shoulders. Espeon lept up into her trainers arms. She looked at the boy with the lime eyes, and smiled slightly. "Yeah, you're right. Thanks for the advice And it's fine, we got the situation worked out," she shrugged then turned to listen to Michael, who had suggested playing games with Flygon to put him at ease. She nodded, then said, "That's a good idea, I've never really thought of that. Flygon never really spent much time out of his pokeball, so maybe he would like to have some fun."
She blinked. Flygon never really spent much time out of his pokeball... "Well, er-" Skylar coughed, then looked away embarrassingly. She'd finally realized how many people were watching, and she didn't particularily like the spotlight. "I-um-I think I'll be going back to my room now, if anybody needs me. If not, I'll see you all later." With that, she turned and walked swiftly down the corridor to her room, her face burning red. When she arrived at the door, Skylar stumbled inside, and promptly returned Squirtle and Riolu to their pokeballs, and ran to the bathroom. After locking the door, she stared at herself in the mirror. Her eyes had dark circles underneath them, her hair was messy, and she just looked like an overall...mess. For the first time in a long time, a lump stuck in her throat. What if I'm not ready for this...Heck, I couldn't even realize that Flygon was angry at me for not being out of his pokeball enough...I never gave him the attention he deserved. Everyone else here is so much more experienced. I don't know what I'm doing. I'm just some poor homeless kid from the streets of Goldenrod...I don't deserve this...This chance should've been given to someone more qualified... Thoughts like these kept rambling through Skylar's mind. She sunk to the floor and rubbed her eyes. Espeon put her paws on her trainer's knees and stared into her eyes, and concerned look on her face. "Oh Espeon! I'm not ready for this!" she cried, and grabbed her purple Pokemon. She sat on the floor of that bathroom, hugging her first Pokemon, and broke down for the first time since she'd left her home three years ago. |
Derek Stonemason - Inside Rocket HQ Tetra nodded to Snease, and said, A nice name for you. It fits. Anyways, I must be going. Perhaps I shall meet you sometime later. Until then, farewell! She gave a slight nod to the Sneasel, and began walking to where Derek had found a room. The room was quite nice, not exquisite, but still much more decorative and organized than Derek's own room. The beds were extremely comfortable, and Derek would have fallen asleep right then and there had Tetra not arrived. Derek brushed a bit of hair out of his face, and grinned up at her. He then asked, "What do you think? Pretty nice, right? Of course, we might have to share with someone, but it's not that bad, really." Tetra nodded her consent, and was about to sit down when Derek's stomach rumbled. He looked suprised, and said, "Cripes! I forgot about food!" He then dashed out the doorway, Tetra following at a much slower pace. The table before him was glorious. Laden with all sorts of food, half of which Derek didn't even know the name of, it stretched around ten feet long. He spotted plates, and went down the line, grabbing a good portion of whatever appealed to his eye. Then, plate covered with food, he found a place to sit, and wet his food down on the table. Tetra, on the other hand, was much more conservative, only grabbing a salad and a bowl of Clam Chowder. Of course, there was food for Pokemon too, but Tetra had taken quite fondly to the human palette. It was true, her allergies to cashews got in the way, but other than that, human food was quite enjoyable to her. [Oi, Sheraku. You should have Snease lead Tabris over to meet Derek. I think she's taken quite a liking to Tetra.] |
The Base - Part 3
Justin finished putting food for himself and the pokemon in his bag, closed it, and threw it over his shoulder. Absol came running up to him. "Find a good spot?" Absol shook his head, then looked over to the room with the battlefield. "Well, not surprising. Wasn't sure there would be a good place to train without being seen, but it was worth a shot." Justin took a bite of an apple he grabbed then tossed it to Absol, who gladly took it. "Alright then, we can do some training on the field." The two walked over to the entrance of the battle hall and glanced over the field. "Seems a bit plain... but maybe it's one of those changing fields." Justin found a bench and sat down, setting the bag beside him. "Ok, it's been a few days since our last run, what do you say we warm up?" Justin jumped up and stretched his arms and legs. "One lap oughta be good, race ya", Justin took off running, Absol close behind. Absol sprinted past Justin then lept to the finish, landing next to the bench. "Ok, good warm up" Justin reached into his bag and pulled out two metal bars. "You know the drill." Justin took a few steps back, Absol mimicking it's trainer. "Sol!" Absol's crest began glowing white and it shook it's head, sending bursts of air at it's trainer. Justin quickly blocked them with the metal bars, "C'mon Absol, if you want to win you're gonna need to move faster than that". Absol growled then launched five more bursts of air, Justin blocked the first one, deflected the next two, barely dodged the fourth, then got hit in the chest by the fifth. Justin dropped to one knee holding his chest. Absol ran up and put a paw on Justin. "Good job, you've definitely gotten a lot better." Justin pulled some pokemon food out of his pocket and handed it to Absol. |
Tabris-Dinner Time
Now that the commotion had ended Snease ran along side her trainer and clawed gently at his leg directing her other towards the table filled with food. "Hungry Snease?" Tabris asked looking up to the table, where one boy had filled a bag before heading toward the battle hall. There was also the male trainer and his Gardevoir, and the first boy that Tabris had spoken to on the bus already sitting there getting food for themselves. The girl with the Flygon had already said her temporary goodbyes and headed back to her room. Snease tugged on Tabris' orange colored shorts once more persisting that they go and join the group. It has been awhile since he had a full on decent meal, knowing that he pressed over to the dinner table, Snease sat across from Tetra, motioned Tabris to sit next to her. Doing so Tabris locked eyes with the boy across from him. "So, it seems as though Snease has been tagging along with your Gardevoir since the bus. Gotta say it's pretty rare for her to open up to any Pokemon especially one of the psychic type." He informed looking over to Tetra, "No offense." he added as he started to fill up a plate of his own. |
Yuki
Yuki currently had very mixed emotions, the fact that he was un-noticed, and the fact that he was... un-noticed. He very much preferred not to be noticed but deep inside he desperately wanted to be unique, to stand out of the crowd and be someone different, but he never had the guts, and these next days would probably be his only chance to prove his worth. He wanted to go last in the battle scheme so no-one would know his tactic, but he wasn't too bothered if he went first, they would still be surprised right? After nibbling on a roll and watching the girl leave he could tell she was going trough some emotional pain. Perhaps she hadn't noticed her Flygon's jealousy, or perhaps she noticed and then got teary about it, either way, for once, Yuki wanted to help, to say something. He could always think of a million things to say in situations like these, but not once had he ever said anything. If there's any time to lose his dignity, it's now, in a small private area where no word of this event will be spread if something went wrong. He stood up and tapped Ampharos on the shoulder then gazed into it's eyes. It nodded back, knowing it's responsibility and gathered Riolu and Eevee and started to head in the direction Yuki was heading in. They all passed the several trainers at the buffet and the ones a little bit off centre just standing there talking and heading into the battle hall, were he ignored the boy training is absol there. He then realised perhaps now was a good time to train too, but first... As Ampharos led the other two into Yuki's room, Yuki trotted down the coridoor. The doors were all previously closed, and not all the trainers had a room yet, so I guess one of the ones with an open door... Yuki spotted a door wide open and stood outside the door. "Er hello?" He called there was no answer, but there was a faint noise of, crying. Yuki entered the room and slightly closed the door. He walked up to the door that lead to the bathroom which he'd failed to notice in his room, and knocked on the door. "Erm, sorry to er, intrude on you like this... miss... but... erm, you seem a bit, well upset. I just wanted to see, if erm, you were, a-alright?" he almost wished that the words came out quicker and more fluently, but he was so nervous. he hadn't talked like that to anyone before and felt like he had just been shot by lightning, but he felt proud that he'd done it, that hopefully his words might make her feel, not alone? |
Michael Sheranto- Helping out
Michael watched as the girl ran off into his and her room in such a sad way. Michael felt sorry for her and decided to go talk to her. He ran in the main room and said "Hello? Skylar? It is me Michael please talk." Michael walked into the bathroom to see the girl sobbing while holding her Espeon. "Skylar, don't worry, I will help you out with your pokemon as they are really cool." Michael said in a comforting voice "You and your Flygon was like me and my Kingdra. They have a mind for their own and they need to trust. That is what all dragon pokemon are like. Look, I will help you because you will do well but need a bit more play time and then you will win. Please Come out." Michael watched as the girl sobbed. He then realised another person was there too trying to talk so he waited for her answers. |
Skylar looked up as the two entered the bathroom, and stood up quickly, rubbing her puffy red eyes. She cleared her throat, and listened to what each of them had to say. "Guys, it's fine. I'm okay," she gave them a halfhearted smile. "I just...I don't know if I'm ready for this yet, you know? If I can't even get my Flygon to trust me...I don't know." Her words were becoming a jumbled mess. She took a deep breath. "Don't worry about me. We all need to focus on the future ahead of us." She looked over at Michael. "I'll take your advice and give more attention to Flygon, thanks."
She bit her lip, and attempted to change the subject. "So, er..." her face turned bright red, "If you guys wouldn't mind...I uh...was gonna get ready so we could go eat?" |
Yuki
Yuki stared at the boy who had ignorantly barged in to check if the girl was alright. It was the same annoying boy again... Yuki was going to have some fun with this guy in battle, if he even makes it. Yuki was laughing in is mind at his comment. He took a step back and was slightly embarrassed, was she asking him to dinner? No, she was asking two boys to dinner, more of a friendly compromise than anything close to romance. Yuki didn't really want to go, with his mother being around and all, she'd probably think it wasn't him at a table with a girl and a boy, making friends... Yuki sighed lightly and tried making it unnoticeable with a slight breath through the nose. Making friends... Yuki felt like he had gotten himself into this question so he'd have to accept. Who declines a crying girls plea for company in her time of need. Saying that almost sounded like some stupid fairytale to Yuki. Once he had figured out the consequences of his actions for both scenarios he responded with something he wished he hadn't said. "Sure, whatever!" Why did he say 'whatever?' although his voice sounded as cheery as he could make it he was still self cautious over if she would hate him for saying that, or wouldn't notice. He hoped for the second idea. He didn't want to answer back and plea for her to reconsider his answer and say sorry for saying that and make himself look weak. He tried to forgot and hoped it didn't sound rude to the girl that is too focused on the replies of the two strangers to hopefully not notice small remarks, or hopefully she's clever enough to know what he meant... Oh for love of Arceus! |
Michael Sheranto- Dinner?
The guy he saw was the guy that he wanted to talk to but he shuffled off. Michael despised that guy because he knew what he was thinking 'That guy will, if he battles me lose because my pokemon trust me.' Michael thought. "So, er..." she looked rather bright red, "If you guys wouldn't mind...I uh...was gonna get ready so we could go eat?" Michael thought for a while 'Wow, she wants to make friends with us alright. Well, as she is my roommate i think we should have a friendly talk at dinner.' The guy then said "Sure, whatever!" The guy then looked a bit stupid for saying whatever as it does sound a bit rude. Michael then said "Sure, it will be good for all of us. We can relax and actually have something to eat. I am quite hungry so maybe i will meet you there... yeah i will see you there." Michael walked out of his room and went through the corridor leading to all the food, Michael was quite satisfied. |
Skylar's nervousness melted away as they both agreed. She took no note of Yuki's 'sure, whatever,' and instead just turned around and closed the bathroom door. After returning Espeon to her pokeball, she began running hot water in the shower to clean the tangled mess that was her hair. Fancy shampoo and conditioner bottles lined the walls of the bath. She picked out a pair of matching scents - they smelled like strawberry, her favorite! - and began working through her knotty hair. Once the tangles were gone and a brush could be pulled through without hitting a knot, Skylar turned on the blowdryer and got to work.
It didn't take long to dry; her hair wasn't that thick initially. But she smiled as she pulled her fingers through it; for once it was actually soft and clean, and the blow drying did add some volume. So now, it fell naturally in lose waves down her back. Next, Skylar had noticed a bag on the counter. She unzipped it carefully, unsure of the contents. Is that...Makeup? she thought curiously. Sure enough, the bag contained all the beauty products a girl could dream of. There was mascara, eye liner, eye shadow, concealer, foundation, blush, lipstick, lip gloss...Skylar was mesmerized. She'd never really worn makeup before, but what was the harm in trying it out today? She picked out a sparkly peach eyeshadow, and applied it to her eyelids. Next, she fished out a black eyeliner, and carefully drew a line above her lashes that thickened as it swept toward the outside of her eyes. She topped off the look with mascara on her lashes, lip gloss on her lips, and a bit of concealer to cover any blemishes, then inspected herself in the mirror. Skylar stared at herself in disbelief. She looked like a completely different person, not the ratty homeless girl she used to know. Now she seemed...elegant. Like she had a place in society. And she liked it. Skylar pulled off her oversized red sweatshirt and replaced it with a tighter-fitting white sweater, then swapped her black shorts for black leggings. She'd taken both of these from the department store back in Goldenrod just in case she needed to actually look good for something. It was a joke at first...But hey, they actually came in handy, Skylar thought with a smirk. She pulled her bag onto her back and pulled the door open with a flourish of confidence. "Okay...One final 'accessory'," she murmured, and pulled out a pokeball. "C'mon out, Flygon!" she called, and the dragon-type popped out next to her. "Ready to eat?" she grinned at him. Flygon stared at his trainer in disbelief, then noted that he was the only Pokemon with her, even Espeon was in her pokeball. His face lit up. "Flygon, Fly!" he answered in agreement, and the two made their way to the main room. |
The Base - Part 4
Justin got up off the ground and walked over to the bench. He sat down, grabbed his pokeballs, and released the rest of his pokemon. "Eat up guys" He said as he reached into his bag and tossed food to the pokemon. "Ok guys, we have a big day tomorrow" Justin took a bite of a sandwich, "Our first battle is coming up, we need to be ready. Absol, I want you to attack Spoink who will do his best to dodge your attacks. Haunter, launch shadow balls into the air, I want Marowak to destroy them with his bonemerang." The pokemon nodded then went back to eating. Justin looked out the door and saw three trainers and a flygon at a table. Is it really a good idea to be making friends with the people that you'll most likely be sending home, while you move on to a better life? Justin thought as he finished eating. "Ok, you start training, I'll be back". Justin got up and left the battle hall as his pokemon began training again. He walked into his room and looked around. "Where did I put it.... aha!" He pulled a notebook and a pencil out from under a pillow. "Don't know why I took this out of my bag." He walked back to the battle hall while looking at the notebook. |
Skylar watched Justin holding something that looked vaguely like a notebook as he walked back to the Battle Hall. She frowned slightly. There's such a distinction of trainers here... I don't know why some of them won't just loosen up. Sure, we're here to battle, but what's wrong with making friends? Flygon seemed to be watching the other trainer too. "Say Flygon, how about we go train after we eat?" Skylar looked up at her Pokemon. "We need to work on your accuracy. You're speedy, but how many of your moves are gonna hit with you moving that fast?"
Flygon narrowed his eyes and nodded in agreement. The pair walked up to the table that the boys were at. "Hey guys," Skylar grinned, "I'd like to formally introduce you to Flygon." "Gon! Gon!" the said Pokemon smiled. He seemed much happier now that Skylar was giving him attention, and he held back his aftermath of bitter feelings as his trainer promised some one-on-one training. |
Yuki
Yuki and co (pokémon) gathered in the main room and sat at a round table. Michael had obviously came first, and then Yuki and his pokémon. Yuki felt a bit more confident with Ampharos around, as if he could tell it something or share his secrets with it, which he knew was stupid since pokémon can't talk anyways, but Ampharos was learning... slowly. Truth is, Ampharos had been learning to talk a whole year, and only got the hang of pronouncing sylables nearer the end due to his differently shaped tongue. Yuki had to learn about Ampharos's tongue in order to teach it the actions necessary to perform these vowels, but it took some time... Eevee jumped onto Yuki's lap, and Riolu sat on it's own chair whilst Ampharos sat on the floor in between Riolu and Yuki. Skylar, at least that's what he thought her name was, entered the room with quite a bit of glamour. Before she looked kind of scruffy, almost homeless, but he would never say that out loud, but she had definitely made an effort to impress. Yuki didn't speak a word to Michael, there was too much tension between the two that Yuki couldn't even be bothered to argue with him, not with Skylar needing some company. Yuki thought about that for a bit. It was a friday evening one night, Yuki's mother and father were divorced back then, but had a good friend that enjoyed meeting them both, and was unaware of the breakup, yet both my mother and my father went and didn't want to ruin the night so they acted like a married couple to impress and realized that they were still in love, and re-married. Obviously him and Michael were probably never going to become married or even friends, but that fact that he had to pretend brought a slight shiver down his spine, but if his mum could do it so could he... No he couldn't, Yuki had never even had any friends, he didn't have any idea how to treat them, how close they were, what they were supposed to do for one another. This was all one big crazy get-up, a stupid idea, why did he ever get himself into this... As Yuki was having doubts, a friendly face popped up with pink hair. It was a young girl, about the same age as Yuki, perhaps older who hovered over to the table. "Hello, my name's Whitney, and I'm the gym leader of Goldenrod city!" Se said in a cheery voice. Yuki had to reply before anyone else, he didn't want any more fuss. "We, are, um, having dinner, please excuse us." Yuki looked down knowing that someone was going to interveen and welcome her to the table, making Yuki sound more ignorant than he already sounded. He hated being shy for some reason, and he looked up to those people who were unique and different, and wished he had the guts to do something different. He thought about this again before quickly shaking his head once and looking up. "I-I'm sorry, you, I, just, erm." "So that's a yes then! Yeay! Partaaay!" She sat down and swiveld on her seat. Wait these chairs were swively? Since when? And since when was swively a word. Riolu wich was next to Yuki done a quick facepalm, resulting in force palm, yet he didn't even care. It looked like it hurt. |
The Base - Part 5
Justin walked into the battle hall and stood there for a second watching his pokemon train. Absol slashed and bit at Spoink, as Spoink hopped around on it's tail dodging Absol's attacks. Haunter and Marowak were right next to eachother, Haunter shot shadow balls in various directions while Marowak quickly aimed and destroyed each one with it's bone. Justin sat down, wrote some stuff in the notebook then looked up. "Ok guys, change of plans." The pokemon stopped and came to him. "Haunter, make yourself invisible. Absol, I want you to work on taking down unseen opponents. Spoink, work on your deflecting skills, Marowak will do his best to beat you." The pokemon ran out and began training again. Justin grabbed the notebook and a pencil and looked around the room. He made a sketch of the battlefield and the room around it. This might be a good place for Marowak's bonemerang. He looked up and saw Marowak throw it's bone at Spoink, who jumped up and pushed off it with it's tail. He then looked over and saw Absol turn around and duck as Haunter appeared and tried a shadow punch. Justin drew a few pictures of his pokemon battling eachother then stood up. "Alright spoink, go help Absol." Spoink hopped over to Absol, barely dodging a shadow ball. "Marowak, I want you to work on throwing that bone as fast as you can, the last thing you want is the enemy catching it." Marowak, turned it's back to it's trainer and got ready to throw. "No, at me." "Maro?" Marowak lowered it's arm and turned around confused. "Just do it, if I can catch it, you're throwing to slow". Marowak shrugged and chucked the bone at it's trainer as hard as it could. Justin leaned back and caught it just before it would have hit his face. "Faster next time" he said, tossing the bone back to the pokemon. "Mar, marowak!" Marowak threw the bone with as much force as it could, Justin ducked just in time "Wow... that was definitely a lot faster" he turned around and caught the bone as it came back, "But not fast enough" he tossed the bone to Marowak for another try. |
Skylar pulled up a chair for Flygon and sat down in one next to it. She noticed Yuki speaking to a girl with pink hair and a friendly face. She looked vaguely farmilliar, but she couldn't figure out where she'd seen that face before. The girl introduced herself as Whitney, and Skylar almost facepalmed. The Goldenrod City gym leader was right in front of her face, and she hadn't even noticed! She could be so clueless sometimes.
Her eyes wandered over to Yuki, who seemed to be having a bit of trouble speaking to the bubbly girl. She felt a little sorry for him; the boy always seemed to be nervous. It's not like he's choosing to be like that, Skylar mentally scolded herself, You should try and befriend him. He seems sweet. After all, he did come and check on you after the incident with Flygon earlier. Skylar's face burned slightly, but she brushed the feeling away without much thought. Whitney had now seated herself at their table. She gave Yuki, who seemed to be having a tough time, a small smile of encouragement. After all, the gym leader had kinda popped up out of nowhere, and she was beginning so sense a rivalry between him and Michael. |
Derek Stonemason - Inside Rocket HQ Derek looked up, a suprised expression on his face and a spoonful of mashed potatoes in his mouth. He looked at the boy who must have spoken to him, seeing as there were no other trainers in the current vicinity that also had a Gardevoir sitting next to them. He quickly swallowed, and replied, "That would explain things. It seemed to me that Tetra was a bit distracted. I don't see any problem with it tough." He then took a large gulp of the lemonade in front of him, and began eating once again. Tetra nodded towards the trainer, and said, None taken. I enjoy company. |
Tabris-Dinner Time Part 2
"Glad to hear it," Tabris replied to Tetra. "I enjoy seeing her be more expressive, as well." He added turning to look at his Pokemon who was shoveling food into her mouth with her large claws. 'Perhaps not too expressive,' he thought giving the weasle a slight slap on the back of the head. "Manners Snease, we're not on the streets here." Tabris scoulded. Snease swallowed the massive amount of eatables that was already in her mouth, then slowed down substantually. Putting his focus back to the boy Tabris smiled, of course it couldn't be noticed. "Sorry about her, we haven't really been eatting well lately." |
Yuki - The big, big, big day (Hunger Games referance!)
A voice could be hear booming all over the building, well underground resort, or perhaps a small decorated cave. Who cared. It was Alder, but he wasn't in sight, perhaps a small room with a microphone. Again who cared. The voice spoke in Alders usual tone with that traditional microphone screeching noise at the end. "Fello' battlers. Tomorrow is the big day where round one will be held. Also, for your personal training I have opened up 3 sound proof and dark stained windowed rooms that connect to the battle hall. Please share these rooms and don't take too long with your tactics. Along with that I have sorted out the battle arrangements for who shall be battling who. They are on screen now." At the top of the room the rounded wall opened to form a large screen on the opposite side of the room to the door leading towards the battle hall where it showed all the results as for who shall be battling who tomorrow. Yuki vs Gale - Michael vs Cinna - Derek vs Effie - Justin vs Haymitch - Tabris vs Katniss There were several more battle segments but Yuki couldn't care less about them. There were 12 battles in total therefore next round there will be six battles, then 3 battles? ow would that work? Perhaps there some kind of trick to it... Boom! A loud metallic boom could be heard in the distance followed by Alders astonished voice. "Oh dear." A door opened in the side of the wall that looked almost as if it was the wall, and out popped Alder staring at the wall. No one moved, most of them had no clue what was going on, few looked slightly astonished but prepared. Yuki got out of his seat and prepared the most outrageous comment that Alder could hear. "They've found us haven't they." Alder looked at Yuki as if to say, keep it down, we don't want anyone to worry, and Yuki knew he was thinking that, but he had to say something. The wall began to crumble. The wall collapsed and in flowed a dozen troops tat quickly organised themselves around the perimeter of the room. "On behalf of the Jhoto council and The proven, we are placing you all under arrest, nobody move!" The large guns and weapons put Yuki in his place. He couldn't move or they'd shoot. A voice could be heard down the coridoor... Mum?! A nosy figure ran through the doors that led to battle hall and stopped at the sight of the several soldiers. Everything seemed to be going in slow motion. The troops turned and glared at Yuki's mum and aimed their sites at the helpless women. She tried to turn quickly, frantically racing back for cover. Yuki stood up and ran for his mum pushing over the table in his way and Ampharos raced behind him to help. There was a sudden click before Yuki closed his eyes and fell flat on the floor. He felt his head land on something soft. He couldn't bare to open his eyes, the sight would be too painful. Instead he sobbed, crying on the floor with his head rested up against his mothers chest. He could feel her exasperated breath slow down every time she tried before the breathing stopped. She was dead. |
The Proven Strike
Marowak reached his arm back to throw the bone when Justin stopped him. "Hold on a sec, I think Alder's making an announcement." Justin and his pokemon looked around while listening to Alder's voice. "Ok guys, we've done our training, time to go rest." He threw his pack over his shoulder then heard a loud boom. "What the heck...?" He motioned for his pokemon to get out of sight, then crouched down behind the doorway. I thought this place was safe from them... He looked out the door just in time to see a wall collapse. Great, just when I thought I'd gotten rid of 'em. He motioned for his pokemon to group up behind him. "Here's the plan." Justin whispered as quietly as he could so only his pokemon could hear him. "there's 12 of them, 5 of us, luckily they don't know we're here...yet." He looked back out the door and saw the Proven Guards pointing guns at everybody. "And it appears they have guns now. So, Haunter turn invisible, watch from the ceiling. When I give the signal let shadow balls rain down on them. Marowak, you see those beams supporting the walls?" He turned to marowak who nodded. "I want you to use bonemerang on those, hopefully it should bounce around enough that it can hit most of them, if not distract them." Justin heard yelling and turned to look out the door. Oh no.... Justin couldn't see everything that was going on, he just heard a loud noise and then two bodies laying on the ground. "Ok, change in plans for Absol and I." He looked at the ground and shook his head. "Spoink" He said looking up. "When Haunter and Marowak strike, use psywave on the Guards." Justin stood up and leaned against the wall. "Absol, use faint attack so they don't see you, I'm going to need your backup more than ever." His heart started racing, "Sol?" Absol sensed nervousness in his trainer. "Look, most likely they're going to handcuff me, hit that guard. As of now, I'm going in solo." His pokemon looked at him confused. "Get to your positions, now" He leaned over and looked out the door again. I can't believe I'm doing this.... |
Michael Sheranto- Taking down
Michael was eating dinner when he saw a beautiful girl which looked like Skylar, it is Skylar. Then he saw whitney the gym leader of Goldenrod City who looked rather happy. She then sat down as Alder announced the first round of the Jhoto League. Michael then heard "Michael vs Cinna" when he heard that he thought to himself Cinna? BOOM! Something loud was heard and then loads of people with guns came trickling in. It was the Proven! they found them with a woman who was thrown on the ground by the boy. She was shot and the boy was there looking at the woman who was clearly dead. Michael responded first by sending out Manectric, Metagross and Houndoom. He made Manectric attack them with thunderbolt, Houndoom attack with bite and Metagross get the guy out of there. Michael ran over to Metagross while hiding behind the table and asked him to stop what he was doing. |
((OOC-Wait, who am I battling?))
Skylar listned as Alder announced further details of the battle tomorrow, and the presence of the battling rooms. She watched as the matches popped up on the big screen, and could feel her stomach doing somersaults in excitement. Flygon and I will have to snag one of those training rooms... This was her last thought before the underground complex began rumbling from the explosion. "What the-?" Skylar grabbed Flygon's arm, as if it would keep the two of them together. She heard Alder's distressed 'They've found us, haven't they' as the Proven guards marched into the room. Skylar felt her breath quicken. She tightened her backpack to her shoulders as Flygon spread his wings in a defensive stance. "No Flygon...Calm down. Not yet..." she whispered to her Pokemon, petting his arm to calm him. Flygon retracted his wings, but kept his eyes narrowed. Suddenly, a women that somewhat resembled Yuki came running down the corridor in confusion. Skylar's heart almost stopped as the Proven guards whipped around with their guns pointed. The sound of the gunshot hung in the air. She began shaking uncontrollably, watching Yuki collapse on his mother's corpse. There was a buzz as Pokemon were being sent out. Michael began attacking in all directions, and Skylar fished out Espeon's pokeball. "Espeon, we need your help," Skylar said in a low voice, and the purple Pokemon appeared, hidden behind Flygon's bulk. |
Derek Stonemason - Invaders Derek was about to answer when Alder's voice can over the intercom. He explained that the battling would begin the next day, and the rosters were posted. Derek looked over these, and noted that he would be battling someone named Effie. He made a mental note to find (her?) after dinner, but was interrupted by a loud boom. He instinctually grabbed Tabris and pulled him over the table before kicking it over for cover as a group of guards burst through the wall. The next few moments passed by in a blur. Tetra was urgently trying to tell him to run, but Derek couldn't hear a word she was saying. His mind was blank as he watched one of the guards shoot an adult female, and a boy was clinging to the corpse. They had shot a kid's mother? That was going too far. He slowly stood, and through the silence calmly said, "You sick *******" One of the guards turned their gun to quickly dispatch the young rebellious soul that was Derek Stonemason, and pulled the trigger. Another pop sounded across the expansive hall, and the small bullet went zooming directly for its target. It never hit. Tetra had stood up next to him, and mentally deflected the projectile. Derek nodded to her, and pulled out a great ball from where it was hidden on his belt. He tossed it into the air, and moments later, a giant Aggron stood before Derek, letting out a deep and menacing roar that sounded like the grinding of large boulders. "Techtrix," Derek commanded, "Dispose of them." The Aggron nodded, and began powering up the most powerful move it knew, waiting for the order to release the deadly Hyper Beam. Tech tried shouted, "Down in front!" In his gravelly voice before unleashing the powerful attack, carving holes in the already wrecked wall and vaporizing quite a few of the proven guards. Derek returned him, and sent out Blaze to finish the rest of them off. |
The Proven Strike - Part 2
Justin saw the chaos break out before him. Well, now's the time. Justin pulled a knife out of his pocket and ran into the chaos. He slid on the ground to dodge a thunderbolt from a Manectric, then crashed into a Guard, knocking him down. The Guard locked eyes with Justin and pulled his gun, Justin reacted by slashing his knife at the Guard's throat, killing him. "Now!" Justin yelled as he stood up. Haunter started launching shadow balls down from the ceiling. Absol lept in and tackled a guard. A bone came flying out of nowhere and started bouncing around the room. Spoink stood at the doorway of the battle hall sending out psywave in random directions. 'least I'm not the only one who thinks these Proven need a good butt kickin, he thought as he dove behind a table. "Now what to do..." He muttered looking around the room. |
Chapter 2 - The Battle The guards pushed away the pokemon attacking them with a shrug, jolting them with tasers and sending them reeling to the floor. They seemed almost invincible with their heavy body armor and weaponry. Yuki opened is eyes and gazed into his mother's motionless eyes. Sorrow filled his heart, and anger. All he wanted was to give her a chance to live a better life, now all that work was in vain. He gritted his teeth. Anger was what often stimulated power and Ampharos was feeling the same kind of power too with his anger and pity building up too. Eevee sat their crying her eyes out before being swept up by a large net. Yuki Stodd up and quickly turned around at Eevee's cry. "NO MORE SHALL DIE TODAY!" Yuki yelled at the guards who quickly aimed their guns at their 'feeble' opponent. Without a word and a jolt of anger, Ampharos charged up his thunderbolt attack and launched at the center of the group. A quick flash of light and a small explosion caused no damaged but some form of power surge, hopefully disabling their tasers allowing close range attacks. The guards quickly recovered and aimed their guns at Yuki and a quick round of firing proved Yuki that these bullets were not ordinary bullets but were some form of energy. But what kind. Riolu quickly jumped in the way of the bullet taking the hit. Yuki scremed, yet riolu landed on is feet, as if being hit by a regular attack. Then it struck Yuki. This energy had to be pokémon energy. Now Yuki was angered, and the guards seemed to realise that they're secret had been found. He knew know tat everyone would probably join in, but even if they won, how many more would come. What if a whole reinforcement team is up there. Whatever, this was Yuki's only chance of getting somewhere, to avenge his mother's death, to destroy the Proven. Yuki skidded to Skylar and her Flygon to offer is assistance. Perhaps a good tactic could ensure their win. "Take Ampharos in the air, and allow him to use discharge from above, they don't have good head protection, and your Flygon can finish him off." He skidded away leaving the rest to Ampharos before scooping up Riolu in his arms. He wandered if anyone had noticed the change in his attitude, hopefully not, as that gave them all an unfair disadvantage when battling him. Tirelessly he saw all the trainers, including Alder, throw attacks at the guards who repelled and pushed away the pokémon almost imediately. they were very quick and agile using riot shields as barriers for physical attacks, and a good eye for dodging special attacks. The body armor preventing psychic energy from reaching they're bodies, but the rest of there body were vulnerable to all attcks. they had too much to defend that they could not attack very well. The battle's on! |
Skylar glanced at Derek, then followed his lead. "Flygon, help out Aggron and use Hyper Beam too!" Flygon began charging the move. She turned to Espeon. "Use Psychic to keep the guards from running, or worse yet, firing their guns."
"Peon!" Espeon narrowed her eyes and a group of guards was held in place by a blueish-purple substance. "Now Flygon, go!" At the command, Flygon unleased his Hyper Beam alongside Aggron's. The white light shot across the room, destroying more of the Proven guards that were immobile due to Espeon's Psychic. She turned to Yuki, who'd appeared at her side asking for assistance. "Good idea," she nodded, then turned to Flygon. "Take Ampharos up into the air!" she commanded, and Flygon flew over to the yellow Pokemon while he recharged from Hyper Beam. The pair then flew up above the Proven guards. Espeon immobilized more of them with her Psychic. |
Tabris-Proven Assult
It wasn't long that Tabris got to examine the screen of up comming battles, he did note that he was one of the last ones listed. An bone shaking crash could be heard as the Rocket Hideout shook vigorously. Suddenly the perimeter was surrounded by a number of Proven guards. Tabris was pulled behind a the table by Derek. He peeked over the top to see a female woman get shot down her son now crying over her dead body. Placing a hand into his pouch he pulled out a short shinobi blade that was much like a flattend kunai knife. After Derek had sent out an Aggron that managed to take care of a few of the guards. Spiraling around Tabris drove his blade into the leg of one of the Proven who tried to approach from behind then quickly brought it upward under the man's chin, Snease knocked over the guard with a drop kick while scaling the table to be next to her trainer. Tabris then looked frantically over to the trainer rooms, and prepared what had to be done should the guards head down to investigate. He wouldn't let the Proven to the same to his sister as they did to Yuki's mother. Now Yuki was up and had a sort of enraged power surging through him, it was obvious his adrenaline would be off the charts. He moved quickly to be along side Skylar who had her Flygon also join in with a Hyper Beam while lifting Yuki's Ampharos into the air to unleash a Discharge. That seemed to be weakening the guard's armour. Leaving them vunerable to Pokemon attacks, but for how long? |
An idea popped into Skylar's head. She turned to Espeon, who seemed to be struggling. "It's okay Espeon, you can stop using Psychic now."
The red orb on the purple Pokemon's forehead stopped glowing, and she slouched over, panting. Skylar picked up her exhausted Pokemon. Her Psychic is really getting strong. She targeted a lot of guards, and she held them still for quite a while! the trainer thought with praise. She looked down at Espeon, who seemed to be recovering. "Ready for round two?" "Espi! Peon!" she yelped in determination. "Alright," Skylar grinned, and Espeon jumped onto her shoulder. "Use Confusion!" Espeon's eyes and orb glowed an eerie white, and Skylar could tell when the moves hit their mark. The Proven guards would clutch their heads in pain; Confusion caused quite a headache. With the guards distracted, other trainers could target their moves more efficiently. |
The Proven Strike - Part 3
A guard stepped infront of Justin as he shot at pokemon. Justin quickly jumped up and grabbed the Guard, slit his throat then dropped down quickly as a Hyper Beam came by at Justin's eye level. "Sol!" Absol came running up. "Ok, new plan" Justin looked up and saw Flygon taking an Ampharos with it into the air. "Haunter! Direct your shadow balls with Ampharos' attacks! That should give them added effect!" Absol turned around and bite the arm of a Guard, who dropped in pain. Justin grabbed the gun from him and shot the Guard. Looking up he saw Skylar with her Espeon. "Absol, run up and help Skylar, she's gonna need some backup to keep that confusion attack going." Absol nodded then ran and stood by Skylar, using Razor Wind on any Guards that came near, or aimed at Skylar. "Now where did Spoink and Marowak go..." |
Tabris-Proven Assult Part 2
With a small window of opportunity admist the chaotic happenings within the main room of the Festival Tabris began rushing low to the ground through a clearing of the battle, narrowly avoiding the bolts of discharged energy unleashed by the airborn Ampharos and falling Shadow Balls due to a Haunter. A single guard stood in the hallway that lead to the trainer rooms. Tabris preformed a neat front flip over the guard's riot sheild landing on the man's shoulders, he drove his ninja weapon down into the top of the Proven's skull. Snease was close behind already having seen what Tabris was heading for, with her sharp extended claws she raked at the unprotected portion behind the Proven's knees. As the guard fell Tabris tumbled backwards upon hitting the ground to loosen his own landing. Facing the main room, but being in the entrance to the hall he could see just how the battle was going. They seemed to be holding their own, but would it be enough. Not a moment after a loud shot rang out, and a searing pain flooded through Tabris' right shoulder, he'd been shot by a normal bullet. It wasn't a fatal wound, but Tabris hadn't been actually shot before, and really never expected he would. On his back he called out in agony, holding his shoulder tightly. "Sneeease!" his Pokemon friend cried pressing over to cover him. |
Skylar looked down at Absol, and gave him a nod of thanks. With discharge and shadow balls raining down around them, they had to be careful. Shots were still being fired though, and one whizzed past Skylar. A moment later there was a cry of pain. She whipped around to see Tabris fall to the ground clutching his shoulder. Her mind was frantic. What do I do what do I do what do I do...
"C'mon!" Skylar pulled Espeon and Absol, who were still attacking, behind her towards Tabris. They arrived at his side, and she crouched behind the two Pokemon. "Sneasel," she looked at the Pokemon crouching over her trainer. "I need you to move. We need to check Tabris' wound." Her words were soft in the midst of the roaring battle. |
Tabris-Proven Assult Part 3
Snease slowly backed away as Skylar along with two Pokemon, only one being her own came to lend a hand to her trainer. "Ahh! Damn it, no! I'm fine!" Tabris obviously lied, loosening the shinobi bandage from his right elbow with his left hand. The pain was constant, and throbbed progressivly worse each passing second. "My sister..." He added through gritted teeth moving his head to be looking toward his room. Snease turned around as well and fantically informed (in Poketalk) her trainer and the girl who came to help that she'd go check. Regreatably she left her trainer's side, but she knew it's what he really wanted. She was also aware that the Espeon and Absol would be able to give cover. Tabris handed Skylar his bandage with a burning mixure of appreciation, anger, and pain in his lime eyes. |
"You're obviously not fine," Skylar gave him a hard look. She watched as Snease left to go check on Tabris' sister. The Pokemon obviously didn't want to leave, but it was for the best. She turned back to the boy on the ground.
"I'm sorry. This is probably going to hurt." Skylar grabbed a pokeball from her bag. "Squirtle, I need a little water to clean the wound," she said as the turtle-like Pokemon appeared. "Take my hand and squeeze it when the pain comes. Don't yell out." She took Tabris' hand in hers and nodded to Squirtle. "Squirtle!" He sprayed a bit of water on the bullet wound. With her free hand, Skylar took the bandage Tabris had previously given her and tied it around the now-clean wound. She looked down at the trainer. "How does that feel? The bullet went straight through, so we don't have to cut it out or anything." Skylar grimaced. |
Tabris-Proven Assult Part 4
Trying hard not to scream as the water from the turtle Pokemon washed over the hole. Tabris gripped Skylar's hand with almost crushing force. Escaped grunts of pain Tabris slammed his eyes closed tightly. Soon the wound was cleaned out and a puddle of blood and water pooled around his right side. The pain was still excruceating but started to lift gently, Tabris' head started to feel a little light and his eyes grew heavy. Bandaged up, Skylar asked "how it felt?" Having half a mind to exclaim, "I got shot! How do you think it feels?!" Instead he turned toward the girl. "Much like a bullet wound..." He answered in a rough voice. Not the time to notice, but the girl hovering over him looked different, was she wearing...makeup? Tabris didn't take his gaze off her, as he started to feel delirious, he smiled. "You look...pretty..." he mummbled. "Thank you..." His words were smoother and quieter he fought with himself to stay concious. ----------------------------- Unable to use the door nob cause of her claws, Snease instead used her X-Scissor attack to slice through the door leading into their room. Tsuya was hiding in the far left corner with Flareon growling infront of her. Snease quickly informed her fire type companion of the happenings. Lighter spat out a bit of flame and charged the door way. Snease put her claw out to stop him shaking her head. "Tabris wants us to watch over Tsuya." Snease spoke and turned to cover the now exposed room. Lighter ran back to Tsuya who was getting up to follow, and gently knocked her back down, before throwing a blanket from the bed over her. |
