Laugh with Me

laugh
make the spontaneous sounds and movements of the face and body
that are the instinctive expressions of lively amusement and sometimes also of contempt or derision

Hi! I'm Hannah. Most of the people here call me Laugh, which I think is pretty weird because they're calling me a verb. I honestly prefer to go by my real name but you can call me whatever you want. Also, before you go on, I'd just like to say that I feel oddly out of place posting this. I'm not really an interesting person so I'm not sure if anyone will ask me something.

I originally joined PokéCommunity on March 29th, 2012 as Essentials, but I've been here longer than you think. In 2011, I was using my cousin Alice's account Perfection because she didn't post anything else after her first thread. Months after I became inactive on Perfection, I created Essentials using my real identity. I wasn't really a popular member back then, so I decided to go inactive again and make my final account, Laugh. On the 19th of November 2013, I switched my name to Hannah, after pondering over it for a very long time.

I'm twelve years old, and most people I know online don't believe it. My birthday is on February 26th, 2001 and I live in the Philippines, a somewhat infamous archipelago which has never experienced snow. I mainly post in Off-Topic Discussions forums, especially in Chit Chat & Polls and Fan Clubs & Groups. Sometimes you'll find me in General Entertainment,Technology & the Internet or in Art & Design. In rare events, I'll be lurking around The Welcome Center.

I have tons of hobbies and interests. I like to write stories, sing songs, draw cartoons, play volleyball, read books, dance to Psy, create games, socialize with people online and listen to the love of my life Justin Bieber's voice. I'm still a huge fan of the Biebs even though he's been caught with drugs and nothing you can say can change that. Okay?

I'm interested in Greek mythology, hence my love for the Percy Jackson series. Besides that, I'm also in love with J.K. Rowling's world of Muggles and wizards, plus the human-vampire-werewolf love triangle in Twilight. I've also recently read The Hunger Games, and I can proudly say that I have become a tribute. What can I say? I'm obsessed with fiction.

I'm not really picky when it comes to questions, so just ask away.

moments. May 21st, 2013 7:11 AM

What are your favourite aspects of Greek mythology? (gods, legends, heroes, any in particular?)

Sanguine May 21st, 2013 10:29 AM

Movie-wise, what is your favourite genre?
What aspect of your personality are you most embarrassed about?
Do you have any aspirations for the future?

Esper May 21st, 2013 11:41 AM

You seem really well-spoken and together for only being 12. Do you get along with people your age online or in real life?

What kinds of games do you create?

How important is popularity to you? To what lengths would you go to achieve the adoration of others?

Honestly, the Gods and Goddesses are the only parts of Greek mythology that I'm interested in. The heroes don't really amaze me as much as how Zeus does when I read about his many, many, many affairs.

I'd have to say fantasy. I love movies that are magic-related and have supernatural events, make-believe creatures and stuff like that. I guess that's why I fell in love with Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and Twilight.

I am very much embarrassed of my insecurity. I easily get jealous and that jealousy makes me say things that I shouldn't really say about other people.

Well, right now, I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. I have dreams -- big dreams -- of becoming a bestselling author, a successful interior designer, and probably even change the face of fashion.

Online, I get along with older people just fine. In real life, however, I'm pretty shy and quiet. I avoid conversations with people who are a) older than me and b) more popular than me.

I mostly create games similar to Harvest Moon. Admittedly, I've never finished a single project and probably never will.

To tell you the truth, popularity means everything to me. I love being in the center of attention, but I wouldn't do anything that might hurt other people physically. My friends and I had fought about popularity (which is pretty stupid, now that I look back on it) and now I'm trying to just be content of my social status.

Do you think people give your opinion less worth because of your age, offline and online?

I'm not gonna lie, but yeah. Offline and online, I don't think anyone cares much about what I say. I'm okay when people ignore my opinions on the web, but in real life, I'm not going to handle that well.

Treecko May 25th, 2013 6:45 AM

Favorite Harry Potter book? Favorite of the movies?

Sableye~ May 25th, 2013 7:15 AM

Now I'm curious. How would you react to someone obviously disregarding your opinion offline?
Have you always allowed your age to be known freely here?

I must say, you really remind me of a friend I had on a forum I was banned from. Same approximate age, interests, etc. I've been wondering if you two are the same person haha.

I'm going to have to say Goblet of Fire because

I love her dress.

It depends on who was disregarding my opinion. I don't just go around and sass random strangers just so they would pay attention to what I have to say. If he or she is a friend of mine, I'd probably repeat it, gradually getting louder, until they finally listen.

Everyone that I meet on the internet knows my age. Most of them actually like the fact that I'm surprisingly mature for a twelve-year-old. It's quite flattering, honestly.

Oh, really? Well, it's a small world after all. Wink wink.

Favourite revenge story, go!
Bonus points if you can tell me your favourite stories about the wrath of Hera!

I honestly like Hephaestus' revenge on Hera best, not because of what Hephaestus did, but because I think it's funny that he got rejected by his own mother.

I'm not really a huge fan of Hera so I'm not quite familiar with stories about her. I'd have to say I like the story where Hera tried to make Heracles' life a living hell by sending snakes to kill him in his crib. Do I still get bonus points for that?

Treecko May 28th, 2013 2:27 AM

Seeing you like dancing to Psy, have you ever done the Gangnam Style dance before? If so, are you any good at it?

What do you think of "Gentlemen"? Do you think it's gonna be bigger than "Gangnam Style"?

I can answer that for you already and say no, it won't be, lol.

Speaking of PSY, how do you feel about this video?

moon May 28th, 2013 5:43 AM

Hi Hannah! You say you like writing. What kind of things have you written? Fanfiction or original work or something else?

I'm interested in writing too, you see :> I just have a bit of trouble staying dedicated to something that I'm writing alone.

Kura June 1st, 2013 2:01 AM

What would you do if someone declared to you that they didn't like you? (Face to face, that is.)

For the first question, yes. I've gone Gangnam millions of times before. For the second, I'm absolutely horrible at it. I'm the exact opposite of the back-up dancers of Psy.

I don't think Gentleman is going to be bigger than Gangnam. Gentleman is very similar to Gangnam, in my opinion, but nothing can beat his first hit.

I love Green Day, but I'm also a fan of Psy, so I don't really know what to say about this video.

I'm better at writing fan fiction than doing original work because when it comes to fan fiction, there are already characters that you can use. Original work means you have to come up with your own characters and your own plot. Right now, I'm working on three stories, all original.

I know that feeling. I never get anything done, honestly, because I'm way too lazy and I always get a case of writer's block.

It depends. If it's someone I like, then it would really hurt me a lot and I'd ask, "Why?" with big, fat tears streaming down my face. If it's someone I hate, then I wouldn't really care. I'd tell him or her that I don't like them, too.

Kura June 9th, 2013 7:35 AM

Have you ever been bullied?

No. In my previous school, no one dares to cross me. Not that I'm mean or anything. It's just that they don't want their reputation ruined by Hannah, that somewhat popular big-toothed girl with the messy hair who blogs about things that can totally make your life miserable.

In a way, I can be a bully. I'm currently trying my best to change that about me.

Wow so many contradictions in that last answer.. but anyways,

You said you wanted to change that aspect of you. What would your IDEAL self be like in ALL aspects?

Overlord Drakow June 12th, 2013 6:39 AM

Where are the contradictions, I don't see any?

So Laugh, would you rather be popular and have loads of people who you hang out with but they're not particularly close with you or anything like that OR would you rather not be all that popular but have a few cherished friends who hangout with you because they like you for who you are rather than potentially associating themselves with you due to your popularity / status etc.

Sableye~ June 12th, 2013 7:21 AM

I finished reading your reply and my reaction was something like

...okay maybe that's an exaggeration haha.
Can't tell if you're joking with me or if you're actually her.

Uh I probably should ask a question so this isn't just spammy.
Quote:

^ Would you say you're a sensitive person, then?

Are you bothered easily, but just pretend you don't care?

Kura June 12th, 2013 9:05 AM

Writing this just to clarify: Says she's not mean however, is willing to ruin people's reputation by writing gossip and/or stories about them and posting them online as a form of revenge. Also, stated before, that she held a dairy in which she wrote bad things about other people in it- so perhaps only mean to selective people.

Change is always nice, but this is not about me. This is not about us being judgmental, either. I thought it was a contradicting answer was all for the reason I just posted, but let's move forward. The point of these threads isn't to judge, or scrutinize, but to learn more about our memberbase. :3 I like finding out the little quirks of other people.
I say, if someone is going to say something truthful, that not everyone else may agree with, but it is the truth nonetheless, more power to them. I like how honest Hannah is; It is refreshing to see.

Overlord Drakow June 12th, 2013 9:16 AM

Oh right I see what you mean now, haha.
