"Apparently you may be able to trade directly from your PC, without the Pokémon in your party."

Also, other Pokemon are ridable as Rhyhorn was seen being riden.

I don't understand this? Wasn't that feature (trading from PC) in gen 5?
But other rideable Pokémon is great!

"Another new Pokémon, Noivern, is being used to demo the awesome 3D modeling process used for Pokémon X and Pokémon Y."
Oh my GOSH I would LOVE to see their modeling process!! So jelly! *-*

That thing about Rhyhorn, that goes against the rumor about Gogoat being the only rideable Pokémon, hmm...

Here are the tweets that went up. I'll keep editing this if anything else appears this evening (videos, etc.). Later, I hope to have a link to a recording of the event since it's not being streamed. Some tweets are combined about the same topic back-to-back, and I'll add my own thoughts periodically.

I'm also not including the #PokemonXY tag on each quote.

Tweets:

Quote:

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y will refine the core aspects of Pokémon games: collecting, battling, and trading.
Quote:

Mr. Junichi Masuda, Director at GAME FREAK inc., is on stage now!

Quote:

Talonflame, a new Fire- and Flying-type Pokémon, has just been revealed in a Sky Battle demo against Noctowl!
LIKE! WANT!

Quote:

Talonflame has just been switched out for Haunter! But wait...Haunter isn't a Flying-type Pokémon...
(I'm guessing it's getting Levitate. So Levitate Pokémon might be allowed? Or is Haunter going to gain Flying type? Would kinda nerf it...

Quote:

That's it for the Nintendo Developer Roundtable! We'll be posting a recap video of the event tomorrow!
It's only 10 p.m. ET, so they chopped a half hour. Perhaps they didn't want to give away some of the other stuff yet; maybe Talonflame was an accidental show? Discuss!

"Pokemon sounds are more advanced. Some resemble growls but pikachu says pikachu"

Ooh now I wonder if other Pokémon will actually say their name, hopefully it's not JUST limited to Pikachu.

Edit: 5 Against 1 battles have been hinted at.

OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire June 11th, 2013 5:51 PM

Oh damn, five versus one battles!

Pancho0493 June 11th, 2013 5:51 PM

So I guess there's gonna be horde encounters that's gonna be tough. 5 vs 1

Xander Olivieri June 11th, 2013 5:51 PM

Horde encounters....WTF Gamefreak. Stop x_x

blue June 11th, 2013 5:52 PM

Triple and Rotational battles was tedious enough, but Five!? Jeez.

I know, at least with triple battles it's fair with 3 versus 3, but here they're beating up on your one Pokémon...

ricki13th June 11th, 2013 5:54 PM

Talonflame, a new Fire- and Flying-type Pokémon, has just been revealed in a Sky Battle demo against Noctowl!

Fletchling evolves into Talonflame.

Xander Olivieri June 11th, 2013 5:55 PM

Yep...super disappointement. Limitations? Not all Flying types? so lame.

blue June 11th, 2013 5:55 PM

"Talonflame, a new Fire- and Flying-type Pokémon, has just been revealed in a Sky Battle demo against Noctowl! " Just clocked on that this is probably Fletchling's evolution which is Fire/Flying! How cool.
