Shiny Celebi September 20th, 2013 6:45 PM

I don't see many snakes around where I am. I hear they don't like being around where people are because it's loud and we have a loud dog that barks all the time. That's probably good considering some of them are poisonous.

Hikamaru September 20th, 2013 6:46 PM

I don't have snakes around where I live, given I'm in the city. But oh god they creep me out!

Sirfetch’d September 20th, 2013 6:47 PM

I live in Alabama so naturally we have an abundance of them. Its unfortunate though because everyone in my family except my dad, who oddly should be because he was bitten by one, is terrified of them.

Meganium September 20th, 2013 6:48 PM

Banana Spider:

They're supposed to be "harmless" and make large webs. There are a lot of them in my college campus, I see them on trees every night.

There are two types though: the pic above & a giant version of it that kills you in South America.

That is a Banana Spider. I may or may not have ruined the fruit for you. :b

Oh Megan beat me to it (and even used the same image ahahah that's great). They do sometimes make stupidly large webs though. I've lost count how many times I've almost ran into one of their webs.

The snakes I normally see are Black Racers who aren't poisonous. Which is good because my mom was bit by the snake my brother and sister helped when she tried to help it herself. As for not like being around people each house in the area I live in have like four acres or something so enough space between houses that they're fine with it I'm guessing.

Sirfetch’d September 20th, 2013 6:50 PM

Wow, that spider is definitely huge and scary even if it is harmless ;-; I do recognize it though and I am pretty sure that we have one that has a web close to our house.

Meganium September 20th, 2013 6:56 PM

They're actually pretty cool to watch. They're always walking around the web while they catch food like flies and all that stuff. Sadly due to the weather here, they do not last long in their homes.

alisaie September 20th, 2013 6:58 PM

I think they flourish here in Florida around this time of year. For a few years we didn't really see them because my brother killed them all off from the forest but they've made a comeback this year especially. There are at least... five females I can think of that live in my yard. I don't know how many males since they're smaller but if each female has one then five males as well.

Tsutarja September 20th, 2013 7:15 PM

I don't think my yard has too much of a problem with spiders, but I could be wrong about that. Usually if I see a spider it's the ones that are smaller than one's fingertips.

Hiatus September 20th, 2013 7:36 PM

Banana spiders aren't very common where we live. I think I've seen only one or two of them on a tree once, and that should be it. For us, the most common type of bugs are stink bugs. They could be found in the front lawn of our neighbors' houses almost every day. We also have a few stick bugs around. The scariest thing about them is their size. They could be pretty huge sometimes.

Elaitenstile September 20th, 2013 8:14 PM

I think spiders are cute, but that may be because there are not many poisonous ones in my town... that's when I feel that their webs around the house seen to be a good place to trap mosquitoes.

Nolafus September 20th, 2013 10:33 PM

I think spiders are awesome. I always thought they looked really cool, plus they kill mosquitoes. If you don't like spiders...

I haven't seen a banana spider, but there was this really big spider, about 8 inches long, that made its web on our back door once. It scared my mom about half to death every time she looked at it. Our dad had to eventually destroy the web and move the spider.

Sirfetch’d September 21st, 2013 12:20 AM

There is too much spider talk in this DCC for me. I am cringing at the pure thought of spiders and now I feel as of they are crawling on me :((

...ok I am being dramatic, but I liked it when we discussed food and puppies instead :D

Elaitenstile September 21st, 2013 12:25 AM

Don't be scared of arachnids... they're pretty cool anyway, with all this poisonous stories all over them.

But puppies beat spiders, so I'm sad I never had a puppy. But I played with my neighbour's puppy, though. I got licks all over my face.

Sirfetch’d September 21st, 2013 12:27 AM

I love puppies, but I don't want to have my face licked by one. I'm not sure why, but it's just a pet peeve of mine.

terrible pun

Elaitenstile September 21st, 2013 12:36 AM

I love getting licked on the face by my pets, but not after I find out what they've been eating. Especially since I'm vegetarian...

Hiatus September 21st, 2013 1:21 AM

I love it when my cat pushes her head against me, but I don't like it at all when she licks me. It's cute when she licks me, but she might have a lot of germs on her tongue, which may make me sick. d:

I've never had a puppy before, but we did have a dog once. Unfortunately, it had passed away when it was only eight years old. We may get ourselves a puppy at some point in the future though, but right now, we already have a cat to take care of that likes to cause a lot of trouble.

Elaitenstile September 21st, 2013 2:59 AM

Mmm tell me about it. Cats are never different in causing trouble. Especially when they have litters around the house. Disaster. My cat has given birth to nine kittens over three years, and all of them are female. God, horrifying.

Synerjee September 21st, 2013 3:02 AM

I've never had a cat before. I see cats as being a little too independent and one can never truly tell what state of mind they are in. Like, they can suddenly lash out at you for no apparent reason. That's why I prefer dogs instead! Dogs never hide their emotions and seem to be more loyal and loving than cats imo.

Elaitenstile September 21st, 2013 3:07 AM

Cats are very selfish and don't care about their owners, it is their unpredictable antics that we take interest in and get charmed and call it cute. Dogs are very loyal, and they have a very apparent conscience. See a dog happy after disobeying its owner? Nope. They go and lick up our face asking for forgiveness.

TY September 21st, 2013 3:09 AM

I have a pretty big hairy dog that just licks me everytime i lie down on the couch, its quite funny since he begs to get attention and i love my dog a lot. ^_^

Synerjee September 21st, 2013 3:19 AM

My aunt has recently adopted this new Golden from the animal shelter. I've never seen her yet, but I've seen her pictures and she is just so beautiful <3 My aunt got her to replace her other dog she also adopted from the animal shelter that's already very old. The first thing I'll do when visiting my aunt next time is to become that Golden's best friend. <3

Elaitenstile September 21st, 2013 3:33 AM

Wow, that's lucky for you... my relatives don't have dogs, but cats yes. I don't really see how I'm going to adopt one either, we don't buy pets since we'll have to stay in the house all the time over the year.

TY September 21st, 2013 3:39 AM

We also have a cat (forgot to mention that :S) and she can live with the dog perfectly without any fights. We did have another cat, but she died not so long ago by a car accident :'(

Elaitenstile September 21st, 2013 3:53 AM

It's interesting how a cat and a dog become very good friends when brought up together. I wish I had a dog, then I'll know how that goes.

Seki September 21st, 2013 4:31 AM

Speaking about cats, I stepped on a cat's poop yesterday, unlucky me.

Sableye~ September 21st, 2013 6:31 AM

I take care of four stray cats (three of which think they live with me). They're cute and all, but one of them picks on another feline, and it's annoying to have to stop him from killing her. He keeps chasing the other cats toward the street when cars are coming. T:

Somehow, none have gotten hit yet. Just an opossum that was sneaking the cats' food (which I was okay with...he was a cute little guy).

Meganium September 21st, 2013 1:43 PM

I'm willing to adopt a third cat for my home but we already have two and my mom doesn't approve. xD So much want though.. :S

blue September 21st, 2013 1:57 PM

I've got two cats atm but I reaaaally want a dog now, obviously it would be unconventional getting one given the circumstances but I would love a Golden Labrador or Retriever. n_n

Zero° September 21st, 2013 1:57 PM

Aww, I wish I had a kitty but everyone at home is allergic to cats except me so I'm thinking about getting a gecko instead.

Tsutarja September 21st, 2013 1:59 PM

I'm not allergic to cats at all, neither is anyone else in my family to my knowledge.. but the main reason my mother doesn't really want to have a cat in the house (let alone another animal) is because she's afraid they could trip the alarm sensor in our house when no one's home and the alarm system is armed to away.

countryemo September 21st, 2013 2:02 PM

The chats on Cats and Dogs and the title is Fastfood Inc. hmm lol.
I never had a cat but we got a dog, I like him, but I don't like being all touchy, licky with animals, or anything. I'm weird ok. D:
but apparently when I was young there was just some cats and kittens (that I guess belonged to no one at my grandparents. The mom loved me, the kittens hurt me.

Zero° September 21st, 2013 2:03 PM

You could just put the cat in the bathroom/someone's bedroom and close the door when the house is going to be empty.

Sir Codin September 21st, 2013 2:12 PM

I've now decided to never expect decent political discussions on a video game forum.

Go me.

As good of an idea that is, me and the rest of my family don't really support the idea of having to confine a pet to one room like that ;/

Absolutely nothing! Just sitting around and watching TV while waiting for bed.

Kanzler September 21st, 2013 4:14 PM

Making a new sig! Hopefully will be done in half an hour or so.

Sir Codin September 21st, 2013 4:15 PM

Making characters for Dungeons and Dragons games. And playing Grand Theft Auto 5. All while I should be studying. Yay.

Hiatus September 21st, 2013 5:15 PM

I haven't gotten Grand Theft Auto V yet, unfortunately. It costs sixty dollars, which I currently don't have. I'll buy it later this week, though, when I finally get my hands on my paycheck. Can't wait.

I'm just sitting here and chatting with a few people, since there's nothing else to do. I'm also drinking a cup of coffee. I would go play some video games, but I'm just not in the mood right now. D:

Sir Codin September 21st, 2013 5:23 PM

It's everything GTA IV should've been, I'll say that much.

Meganium September 21st, 2013 5:38 PM

Right now I am on the server and watching NASCAR in the background, whereas I should be reading. :S

Tsutarja September 21st, 2013 5:39 PM

I'm just bored of my mind staring at my computer hoping I can fall asleep, to make up for going to bed late last night.

alisaie September 21st, 2013 5:44 PM

I'm currently listening to my sister and her friend gossip about things. It's interesting to say the least what happens at my old high school. Like two african american "gangs" who tend to fight near a snack machine.

Shiny Celebi September 21st, 2013 6:57 PM

Im currently browsing websites such as this one while watching a movie. It's kind of hard to pay attention to both but it's a habit.

There's often times I browse here, Tumblr and Pokemon Showdown at the same time. Talk about multi-tasking!

Nolafus September 21st, 2013 7:27 PM

I browse here while listening to music. Oh well, it's something.

Hahahaha I do the same thing as well, so no surprise here.

TwilightBlade September 21st, 2013 7:43 PM

I'm eating Mcdonalds Big Mac and fries for dinner, so I thought about this thread!

Kanzler September 21st, 2013 7:59 PM

I love when we talk about this thread in this thread. So meta.

Hiatus September 21st, 2013 8:03 PM

I don't listen to music when browsing or doing... anything. xD They just distract me and keep me away from what I'm trying to get accomplished. I listen to music only when traveling or laying around in my bed.

I haven't had McDonald's in a very long time. Last time I've eaten something from McDonald's was about three-four months ago. If I remember correctly, I think ate a McChicken and drank one of their strawberry fruit smoothies. They were delicious, but their food are usually stuffed with hundreds of calories though, which is scary. D:

Shiny Celebi September 21st, 2013 8:12 PM

I only like to eat chicken nuggets and fries from Mc Donalds. Im really not a fast food fan but that is probably good honestly.

Hikamaru September 21st, 2013 8:16 PM

I have a fair share of times where I'm forced to have McDonald's for dinner because my mother doesn't have time to cook. And then again I remember when I used to collect Happy Meal toys when I was younger, such memories back then. Sadly my mother gave most of them away but thanks to a secret box in my room I did preserve my clip-on plushies of the Beijing 2008 Olympic mascots, known collectively as the Fuwa. I remember when they had a Neopets Happy Meal toy set in 2005 or something and I wanted to collect all the different color variants, even if it meant getting the same species more than once.

Zero° September 21st, 2013 8:24 PM

This thread is living up to its current title right now lol

I love McDonald's chicken nuggets, that's what I always get from there. 10-20 piece with sweet and sour sauce, large fries, and a large Sprite. I also love Doritos Locos Tacos from Taco Bell, I usually get 4-5 with mild sauce. omf I just finished satisfying my 2 day long craving for chocolate now I'm craving taco bell and mcdonalds.

Kanzler September 21st, 2013 8:25 PM

I've got a couple of nuggets with spicy sauce on the side if you're craving some ;D

Fiery, Cool Ranch or Nacho Cheese?

Hiatus September 21st, 2013 9:20 PM

I've tasted their Cool Ranch taco once. It has a lot of seasoning on the outer part of the shell, so you could feel a kick of salt as soon as you put your tongue onto it. The rest of the taco seems to taste exactly the same as their regular tacos, which is kind of disappointing. If it tasted slightly different, then maybe I would have liked it a little better. I'll try their Nacho Cheese taco one day and see how that tastes. d:

Meganium September 21st, 2013 9:37 PM

Doritos Locos Tacos are godly awesome. I canNOT choose a favorite taco. I love them all.

I had In N Out on Thursday though! Great way to ruin my diet for the 93729370th time xD

Nathan September 21st, 2013 9:55 PM

And here I am, craving for food at 2AM. Thanks a lot DCC.

Xaldin September 21st, 2013 10:35 PM

I've been eating a combination of stuff in the apartment, and Subway for the past week.

Synerjee September 21st, 2013 10:49 PM

Why, here we are, back at food again. So predictable lol.

I LOVE Doritos! Which cheese is mine and not yours? NACHO CHEESE.
Lol yeah. One of the best snacks I've ever tasted.

Oh, and have you ever noticed that most of those packet snacks are not really a bag of chips, but more a bag of air? I always question their motives of making such huge packaging when all the space the chips are going to fill ends up taking less than 1/4 of the entire bag. :|

...oh wait, are we talking about a certain food from Taco Bell? Oh well nvm lol

Legendary Silke September 21st, 2013 11:31 PM

I'm a total sucker for food even though I'm supposed to cut down on some of them...

Hikamaru September 21st, 2013 11:40 PM

I've always got that craving for food, it becomes a delicacy for me.

alisaie September 21st, 2013 11:44 PM

Foooooooooood

has actually been sort of a hit and miss to me lately. sometimes i would feel ill looking at food but at the same time want food because i'm hungry so in the end i'll eat something i can look at and not feel ill doing so. idk it's strange but hey as long as i'm still eating and not starving myself or something.

Elaitenstile September 22nd, 2013 12:03 AM

I don't like to eat food when I'm multi-tasking. I've just had my lunch a few mins ago sooooooo

Multi-tasking is really hard when you are on a computer and you can't leave a trace you used it, nevermind store cookies (COOKIES = FOOD = GOOD). I have to type in my password every 10 minutes on two to three different forums.

TY September 22nd, 2013 12:08 AM

Im always eating food, whether it be chips or fries or whatever there is near me.

Legendary Silke September 22nd, 2013 12:27 AM

When I'm offered free food, I tend to just, like, gobble it up like there's no tomorrow. I really should try to fix that... though it does seem like I'm improving.

Nolafus September 22nd, 2013 12:31 AM

I always call Taco Bell, Toxic Hell. XD

I eat when I want to. Some days I'll eat a lot, others I can go almost the entire day without eating. Except for breakfast, I need my breakfast. One day in my foods and nutrition class, we were watching a movie about anorexia. During the class period, I ate a bag of popcorn, three granola bars, some cheese its, and a cookie. I don't think I have to worry if I have anorexia or not. The teacher laughed when I dumped out all my snacks, I offered to share, but nobody took me up on it.

Hiatus September 22nd, 2013 12:50 AM

I eat food whenever I feel hungry, but I try not to eat anything when I'm multi-tasking. They just make my mind wander off to somewhere and make it harder for me to get my work done. xD I never eat or drink anything (other than water, of course) three hours before bed, though. If you do eat before going to bed, then you'll be gaining fat rather quickly, because your body burn very little calories while it's at rest.

Elaitenstile September 22nd, 2013 1:45 AM

Gurgle gurgle unless you're sleepwalking that is gurgle gurgle
I don't like eating extra food because meh, let somebody else buy it for me XD

Shining Raichu September 22nd, 2013 1:56 AM

In case you haven't noticed, it's not Summer anymore, so we're moving on!
