I'll like to see a MegaExploud. It could have an ability like the one someone mentioned in another thread, one in which sound moves get the same incease as stab. Of course that would make it's Hypervoice quite powerful.

If Mawile didn't lose significant Attack to make up for the increased Defense.

Wouldn't Huge Power mean it's got...well huge power? I doubt they'd decrease its attack and give it that ability...kinda doesn't make sense.

Southueki August 11th, 2013 8:03 PM

I can't really form an opinion until we know everything about them.

As for designs, I like them. At first it didn't seem very "pokémon-ish", and it still feels a little weird, but I guess new ideas are welcome, and this seems rather interesting.

I will wait and see

Well they could still give it a drastic boost. I mean Mawile wasn't powerful before but now it has better defenses, a great ability and a new type.

It makes perfect sense; if they did decrease its attack then giving it Huge Power is their way of compensating for the lowered attack.

Just because a Pokemon has Huge Power it doesn't mean that it has a great attack stat. Azumarill has a base attack stat of 50 and it has HP.

Entermaid August 11th, 2013 8:28 PM

I have an inkling that our regional starters will each have a megalution.

Do you guys think that the Kalos Pokemon will have megalutions available, if so, do you speculate that they will be as abundant as the megalutions added to the pokemon released from Gen 1-5?

MarinoKadame August 11th, 2013 9:20 PM

Let's see if Fennekin get a Sakuyamon like Megalution.

What he's saying is it would be really pointless to lower an already established stat, only to give it an ability to boost the same stat... they could just boost the stat a bit and have it keep it's original ability if that was a concern...

Thank you....
That's what I meant by it. Why would they set up a self-contradicting pokemon? I mean that entirely destroys the point of abilities in the first place. They're supposed to make them better, not make them remain neutral. Aside from abilities that have either no empowering effect or no effect in battle.
They'll most likely keep attack the same or maybe slightly increase it. Mawile isn't exactly fast, and I highly doubt it's mega form is going to be any faster...so they have to do something to take care of that and make it useful.

Favorite Mega Pokemon so far...

I uncluded the IMO most epic Mega Pokemon...

Altair August 11th, 2013 11:46 PM

It's a toss up between Blaziken, Mawile and Lucario, they just all look so fierce!

KurtCobain August 11th, 2013 11:54 PM

What about Mega Mewtwo? I think it's in the top with Lucario and Blaziken!

SolarAbusoru August 12th, 2013 12:03 AM

Guys, more new footage!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BftrqE2CQiQ
And we finally get previews of new music.
And it's very reminiscent of Shin Megami Tensei, no seriously, the second tune that pops up basically sounds just like a Shine Megami Tensei battle theme.

Altair August 12th, 2013 12:05 AM

I prefer Mewtwo's original look actually, it's just my opinion though.

Ω Ruby and α Sapphire August 12th, 2013 12:26 AM

Mega Absol wins hands down for me. Its so cute ^^. It's amazing. That being said all the Mega's have been pretty darn cool.

SylosisXatu August 12th, 2013 12:28 AM

Currently digging Mega Absol alot! I can't wait to see how the other MegaMons will be like. Hehe, imagine Mega Meganium...

Augenis August 12th, 2013 12:40 AM

The concept of Mega Pokemon and the use of them pretty much reminds me of SSJ forms in Dragon Ball Z, so I am definitely picking Mega Mewtwo.

Andrew August 12th, 2013 12:41 AM

It's hard to choose, but I think I like Mega Absol the best. It looks awesome, but then again so do the others. I can't wait to see future Mega Pokemon. *cough* Mega Gardevoir *cough*

Palkia August 12th, 2013 12:48 AM

The only one I like so far is Mega Mawile and Mega Kangaskan. The rest seem to be horribly overdesigned.

halcyonic August 12th, 2013 12:49 AM

well for me it has to be mega mawile cuz its so cute <3 and it has potential to become a dragon buster :O dont forget huge power and the raised def and sp def ;D

Therizinosaurus August 12th, 2013 12:50 AM

mega mawile or mega blaziken.

tho mega Kangaskan looks hilariously broken.

Entermaid August 12th, 2013 1:25 AM

Mawile, since I can pretend it's a normal evolution. Blaziken, Lucario, and Absol are rather convoluted like the Tao Trio fusions. Those were awful. There is just too much going on; they look like total messes lacking a clear design.

SolarAbusoru August 12th, 2013 1:26 AM

My fave is uhhh, All of them, but if a Mega Luxray happens, then I'm totally singling that one out as my fave.

DamienHelvian August 12th, 2013 1:32 AM

I think Megalucario should've had an ability to make it similar to the other counterparts (anime/side-games) Getting stronger as it takes damage.
Although Adaptability is very good, it actually makes up for the hold-item loss. Especially since Lucario/Megalucario will most likely be my prime, and its essentially signature move, Aura Sphere, is the most powerful guaranteed-hit attack...

Oh gawd...Megalucario + Adaptability + Black/Expert Belt....that would be ungodly powerful....

PokemonOrangeedition August 12th, 2013 1:38 AM

I actually am not a fan of any of them. I am not entirely sure how I feel about the idea of megas at all.
