Pokemon Breeders Unite!! ~~ Pokemon Breeders Fan Club

Pokémon Breeding Fan Club

Welcome Pokemon Breeders, one and all!

Welcome, good people! I am Maelstrom, owner of Chipmunk Gaming Inc. (I say my name is Maelstrom so that you may refer to me as Maelstrom, not Chipmunk or something like that.) Don't be afraid to come in, we don't bite here. Just watch out for my Absol, they nip a little. I am thoroughly excited to be here! I'm a Pokemon Breeder, as you may be able to tell from the club name. This is my first club, and I'm a little unsure of how to get started with it. Be sure to read the rules, because as much as I'm easy-going, we need to set some things straight. I'm just learning to RNG, so any help, tricks, tips, etc. (via VM or PM) are greatly appreciated! PLEASE, don't ask me questions on how to RNG. In my current knowlegde, I'm just as confused as you are! Once I'm good, I'll be able to RNG Shiny Pokemon through the use of eggs. If you don't approve of RNG'd Pokemon, I'm sorry you don't. It's pretty fun.

I also would like to say that if you have a Pokemon you've bred to amazing standards, don't be afraid to say you did!! If it's really awesome, I'll post it in the Trophy Case, along with your Username, their gender, it's moveset, it's parents/parents' nicknames if they had any, if it's Shiny, it's Nature, and it's stats. Also, you don't have to put the stats or Nature if you don't want to. I don't really care about stats being posted personally, but that's just me. I also will put a SHORT description of the Pokemon and how it hatched, or something like that.

I don't have all the time in the world, either, so I'm not always on. I'm currently looking for someone to be a Co-Owner for the club. If you aren't going to be on all that much, or can't actually take care of the thread, please don't ask to be the Co-Owner.

So, with that all being said, just try to have fun!

*~Maelstrom~*

Regulations

-Follow ALL of PC's rules.

-Follow ALL of PC's Pokemon Club Rules.

-I have a tendency to mean what I say, but I don't say what I mean. If you are confused with something I say, POLITELY ask what I mean. If you are offended with something I say, I'm terribly sorry. It's just my way.

-RNG'd Pokemon are 100% accepted as Trophy Pokemon, but only if they are hatched. I'm learning to RNG Pokemon Eggs myself.

-No flames. Only constructive critisism, please.

-BE NICE TO OTHERS!! (Arceus is watching you...)

Pokemon Group Breeding Projects

As a Pokemon Group Breeding Project, we as a club will work towards the same essential goal When the week is over, we compare how everyone's result is different.

This week's project: Breed a lovely Stunfisk with an Egg move. Just for fun, go for a Shiny!^^

If you're too lazy and need a Stunfisk to breed with, I might have one lurking at the bottom of my PC Boxes. Don't be afraid to ask me.

Love the look of this club, I'd love to be a member! Just want to say, there's a thread for RNG guides and discussion here if anyone needs it. :)

What is the Pokemon that you've bred that you are most proud of?: My first shiny, a female Drifloon named Floony in Unova which hatched on Marvellous Bridge. The IVs weren't exceptional which was a shame, but I was thrilled to have finally hatched a shiny haha.
Partner Pokemon: Floony the shiny Drifloon, Orange the Sandshrew & Hilda the Foongus
Trophy Pokemon: This is the best I've got and I'm proud of her, but up to you to decide if it's trophy-worthy :)

Moves: Calm Mind / Shadow Ball / Thunderbolt / Rest

I use her to hold a Chesto Berry, beef herself up with Calm Mind, then restore any taken damage with Rest before instantly waking up from the berry and gaining some Speed from Unburden - it works pretty well for a Pokémon like Drifblim but the speed becomes a bit of a pain whilst setting up haha.

Do I think that breeding will be changed in X&Y? Simply put, no! Other than some potential new evolution methods via breeding I can't see them changing it - why would they after so many generations of it working perfectly? I can see the in-game mechanics being slightly different to make RNGing the Pokémon harder and they may well add in another step or mechanic for hatching, but I think it'll remain largely the same. Is this a common opinion?

I can't say whether I'll take part in the contest or not yet since Ralts is a somewhat difficult Pokémon to come by, but I'll give it a go if I manage to get my hands on one within the week!

Miau August 22nd, 2013 8:04 AM

I would love to join! I'm not that great a breeder, I'm actually quite inexperienced. I know the basics, how to pass down stats and natures, what items to use, how egg moves work, but I don't have much practice. I've experimented a few times with no specific ideas in mind, but it was a lot of fun, so I'd like to keep at it :)

Like I said, I don't have many Pokemon that I've bred. This guy was actually one of my first babies, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that he ended up with three perfect IVs; two were passed down from the parents, the other values were random. Yeah, I know his HP individual value couldn't be more awful, but how lucky can you get? At least he'll make a good father if I'm passing down the female's HP IV.

Partner Pokemon:
Purpure the Litwick http://sprites.pokecheck.org/icon/607.png
Howie the Ditto http://sprites.pokecheck.org/icon/132.png

Answer to the Current Topic: I don't think so, it works pretty well right now, and it actually makes sense. I like how it's not a completely random process, and you're able to pass down stats, natures, abilities and even moves. I can't really think of any possible changes in Gen 6, but maybe we'll be getting some new baby Pokemon?

Will you participate in the current Pokemon Group Breeding Project? I'd love to! As a matter of fact, I'm going to be getting a Ralts from Curtis in B2 today, so I'll make sure it'll be a female and start working on it soon. May I suggest adding the time limit in the projects section in the OP? Something like August 21st - August 28th would be great.

ChipmunkGamingInc. August 22nd, 2013 3:56 PM

Hello everyone:

You all are accepted!! I'm still working on the Userbars, but I'll get those up soon:) I'll update the main post soon, so hang tight!

AlexOzzyCake: I just HAD to say, I love the nickname of your Drifblim! It's a lot more creative than my first Drifloon, nicknamed Ballooon -- three O's included...-_-*facepalm* And thanks for the CSS fix!

chuckleslucifer: I have a Male Rufflet if you want him:) I can re-nickname him too. Also, are you participating in the Breeding Project? You didn't put anything there, and I was confused...~_~

Miau: Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it!! I'm really into breeding, and I'm willing to help you out at anytime!! No, seriously, don't hesitate to ask.

TheTorraRegion: Could you please fill out the sign-up form before saying you'll join? Thanks, and I'm happy to have you!!

Also, everyone participating in the Breeding Project: I have six Ralts, all with Hardy Nature. If you would like to use those Ralts to breed with, I'm willing to let you borrow them!! I do need them back, though. Thank you all for joining!!

One more thing, you see that string of text down in my signature? That leads to my Trade Shop, and it's kinda lacking attention, if you get my drift. If you would be so kind as to just click that link, and check out my shop, maybe even take one or two of those Pokemon, I'd be happier than a Stunfisk in the Hall of Fame.

I did the breeding assignment today, yay! I bred 5 Ralts in total, all hatched at the Nursery. Best one would be:

Mother was a female Ralts received from Curtis a few days ago, with her DW ability, Telepathy. Father was a Hardy Grimer holding an Everstone. The mother was holding a Power Weight to pass down her HP individual value. In the spoiler are all the babies, more than half have their Hidden Ability. I actually wanted to get a nice Justified Gallade out of this, hehe.

Hey great job guys! We're gonna have to wrap up this project soon, so does anyone have any ideas for the next Breeding Project? I'm trying to stay away from Shinies, just so you guys know.
Here are some thoughts:
Breed a pink Pokemon
Breed a baby Pokemon with a Hidden/Second Ability
Breed a Pokemon with a certain Ability (i.e., Honey Gather, Flash Fire, Stench, etc.)
Breed a Pokemon with a certain Egg Move

Lemme know what'ya think, and other ideas too!!

«Chuckles» August 26th, 2013 11:51 PM

Breed a Pokemon with a certain Egg Move.

Sounds good because it not only requires us to breed but it requires us to train a pokemon to get the move :D

Miau August 27th, 2013 8:20 AM

Thank you for no shinies, it would take waaay too long to achieve that, and these are supposed to be for fun ^_^

I'm on board for any of those suggestions, I like that most of them give us various choices as to what Pokemon to breed, and everyone can chose exactly how tough a challenge to set for himself. For example for the pink Pokemon, you can go the easy way with a Munna or Audino, make it harder with Hidden Ability Munna or Audino, or go crazy hatching a Happiny, hehe.

As for other suggestions, I think you have everything that can be influenced through breeding (except stats, but I'm not sure if you want that), so that leaves other criteria, like:
  • breed a X-type Pokemon
  • breed a starter (fossil) Pokemon
  • breed a fast Pokemon (Speed is the highest stat) - same for any other stat
  • breed a female Combee (or other Pokemon with a low female:male ratio)

Answer to the Current Topic: From what I've seen in the trailer, I don't think breeding will be changed whatsoever. Maybe the Pokemon Amie will give us some help towards breeding or something but breeding being changed? No. Getting help from breeding? Maybe.
Will you participate in the current Pokemon Group Breeding Project? Sure, breed a Pink Pokemon. Pink Pokemon are always nice.

ChipmunkGamingInc. August 28th, 2013 4:56 PM

Sorry I've not been on for a while. Anyways, welcome to the club, LilJz1234!

As for that, I think we should do breed an egg move. Any egg move, any Pokemon, any stats, gender, etc.

Squirrel August 28th, 2013 9:10 PM

Just breed any Pokémon that has an egg move? Sounds easy enough for a lot of people to get involved with but I'm not sure I see the challenge in it haha. I'll get in on this one though - when're we starting! I think I'll breed a Sandshrew this time around, and the egg move will be a surprise hehe. I think we should base it on the most interesting egg move rather than the best, what do you guys think?

«Chuckles» August 28th, 2013 10:26 PM

Egg move: Flamethrower
Level: 87, currently a charizard
Father: Charizard
Mother: Ditto
Gender: Male

It can't be a Pokemon you've bred in the past. You have to breed it now.

Actually I think it's the kind of challenge where you decide how, uhm, challenging it'll be. You can just go for any egg move, or you can go for an egg move that you can only get through chain breeding. Or you can choose to pass down an egg move from a father that could only learn it in previous generations. Or breed a Pokemon that has four egg moves. You just kinda choose your own rules, so anyone can join in. And I'm totally on board with the idea of an interesting egg move, though "interesting" is kind of subjective, but then again, so is "the best", maybe more so :)

Okay, I had this idea for a Pineco for a future event for the Trainers club, but I've been really lazy to think it through until now, so here it is, and I had so much fun coming up with this set! This was actually supposed to be only the first step of my breeding project, as I was going to chain breed for Stealth Rock, but after five females in a row, I'm gonna pass on that for now. Plus, it's already very fitting to go with the whole poison theme for a ninja, hehe.

And oh my gosh, Dylan, your cat eating ice cream, aaah, I love it! You can have all the cookiez in the world, yesss ^_^

Oh I really like that Pineco! It's really creative. I'm going to try to breed it sometime

*sniff, sniff* What happened here?

Sorry I've been busy with University and GTA V :( I'm less busy now though :)
Here's an Absol to cheer you up!

When is the next breeding project by the way?

Squirrel September 28th, 2013 5:30 AM

We should get a new challenge/project going in here, but until then - has anyone been breeding anything interesting lately?

I've not had much time for it myself with uni/work starting so I don't have much of interest to show off, but I have managed to get Floony to level 85ish so that's a good thing? :D

ChipmunkGamingInc. September 29th, 2013 3:26 PM

Totally sorry guys, I've been busy with school and my aunt died in a car crash on the highway two days ago. I'll be away for awhile because of that, and if I'm lucky, I'll be able to do stuff from over in Germany.

Any suggestions for a new breeding project?

Also, let's have a quick lesson in breeding.

Target Pokemon: Shiny Dratini with perfect IV's in Attack, Special Attack, and Speed, a Careful Nature, and the ability Marvel Scale.

Mother: Shiny Japanese Dragonite with ability Shed Skin and Careful Nature, holding Eviolite.

Father: French Milotic with ability Marvel Scales, with moves Iron Tail, Water Pulse, Hyper Beam, and Toxic.

Result: Shiny Dratini with ability Shed Skin, Careful Nature, perfect IV's in Attack, Special Attack, and Speed, and moves Iron Tail, Water Pulse, Wrap, and Leer.

Okay, who can tell me what I did wrong? The first correct answer gets a cookie.

Zebz213 October 5th, 2013 4:11 PM

The mistake was that the mother had it's dream world ability which had a 50% chance to be passed down. Now where's mah cookiez!?

I think you meant she didn't have the DW Ability, but I'll take that^^

And right now I'm over in Germany and my uncle has horrid internet connection, but still I can prevail! And I'm updating the project section now, too.

USERNAME: YZN (it's pronounced "why-zen")

PROUD OF: My Brave Trapinch PATRIARCH. He has 31 HP IV and 31 Speed IVs. Once he hits Lv. 89, he and my Adamant Trapinch BROODMAMA (31 HP IVs) will produce a slew of baby Adamant Trapinch that know Fissure, Dig, Quick Attack, and either Faint Attack or Rock Slide.

PARTNERS: Sassy Kingler ICEBREAKER, 31 Sp. Defense IVs, 252 Sp. Defense EVs, knows Rock Smash, Cut, Surf, Whirlpool. Naive Xatu BRAHMAN, knows Light Screen, Reflect, Confuse Ray, and Tailwind.

TROPHY POKEMON: None yet, except maybe PATRIARCH I guess.

TOPIC ANSWER: I don't expect any big changes, but who knows? With a new type and a new type of evolution, Nintendo is clearly shaking things up a bit.

BREEDING PROJECT: I will participate when I can. I only have HeartGold. First thing is to get a Ralts from GTS.

ChipmunkGamingInc. October 11th, 2013 9:09 AM

Welcome to the club, YZN! We're glad to have you!

I've finally updated the breeding section, if I didn't mention that. And! Another little bugger has come along! Disclaimer: I didn't breed him. I found him in the wild. But he will be one of the best Pokemon to breed with! That I've ever had!

Allow me to introduce you all to my prized possession, Hermy!
http://www.serebii.net/Shiny/BW/558.png

He's the very Crustle that blocks your path in Black and White 2. And he just so happened to be Shiny.
To be honest I don't know wether or not this particular Crustle CAN be Shiny or not. I tried looking up this Crustle being Shiny on YouTube, Google, etc. Can't find any instance of it.

Anyways, I'm still in Germany. With my uncle's crappy internet. I'm leaving today, though. I'll be back on in no time!

ChipmunkGamingInc. October 21st, 2013 4:53 PM

Hello, once again.

I'm actually here to say that my computer (being the marvelous piece of machinery it is) has unfortunately bit the dust. It needs to be wiped, and it gets the Blue Screen of Death every time I so much as look at it the wrong way.

I am currently typing this on my 3DS, using PC's wonderful Mobile Skin. Oh, and my twin brother is being a jerk, and won't let me use his computer.

So, in order to make my 3DS run as fast as possible without having any issues, I humbly ask that you do not use:

1. Large images
2.Animated images (GIFs, animated sprites, etc.)
3.Spoiler tags if you would like me to read something. Currently, I cannot get spoiler tags to work on my 3DS. :P

I thank you all in advance. You can use images such as static sprites, conquest artwork, and small stuff like that. I'm really very sorry about all this. I'll try to sort this out.

In the meantime, who's enjoying X and Y? I know I am thoroughly enjoying X. (")>

Zebz213 October 28th, 2013 2:09 PM

I'm really enjoying both right now (hence why I haven't been on PokeCommunity in a while) on a different topic, has anyone noticed a change in X & Y breeding because I haven't (other than the perfect IV changes). Oh, and sorry about your PC Maelstrom.

What is the Pokemon that you've bred that you are most proud of?: My Scizor, Blade. I hatched him as a Scyther from an egg and traded him into a new game. He bacame my go-to pokémon and was the first pokémon I ever leveled to 100 (Pokémon Crystal Version).
Partner Pokemon (Up to three, nicknames permitted): Blade (Scizor), Cindaquil, Zorua
Trophy Pokemon (Read introduction for details): I don't have any pokémon I believe are trophy-worthy at the moment.
Answer to the Current Topic: I believe that X/Y has introduced some game-changing improvements to pokémon breeding.
Will you participate in the current Pokemon Group Breeding Project? If so, give details if details for project are required: I don't think I will participate. I am trying to breed a 'perfect' Scyther, so right now all my breeding resources are pooled into that.

Sotani November 3rd, 2013 8:12 PM

Yey! A club!

What is the Pokemon that you've bred that you are most proud of?: I suppose my female shinx with intimidate, someone requested one and I didn't expect it to take that long to get.

Partner Pokemon (Up to three, nicknames permitted): Shiny Eevee to defend and raise the babies and my Talonflame to warm the eggs. Axew likes to try and warm them too but hes too rough.

Trophy Pokemon (Read introduction for details): I don't have one at this point. I've bred a LOT of pokemon, but none of them out of the ordinary or worth mentioning. I'm working on an Axew with excellent stats or a shiny.

Will you participate in the current Pokemon Group Breeding Project? If so, give details if details for project are required: I would love to! but since this is a Sunday and it says "week" project, I think I'll wait till the next one to participate. I'm a breeder-in-training so I don't have tons of professional knowledge; I usually just breed to duplicate pokemon rather than to get anything special so it'll be new for me.

Miau November 4th, 2013 2:01 PM

Welcome to the club, Pilkie and Sotani!

Pilkie, good luck with getting your perfect Scyther, IV breeding is not an easy job, but with patience you'll definitely get it!

Sotani, I have a Talonflame to warm up the eggs as well, he's always on my team nowadays, not just for breeding, but also to fly me around, plus he's a reliable battler as well. Good luck with getting your Axew, and I have to say that Shiny Haxorus looks amazing!

I have a new breeding project planned actually too, I want to try out the Masuda Method, but for that I need a foreign Ditto first, so I'll be stalking the GTS in search for one for the moment.

Pilkie November 4th, 2013 4:48 PM

I picked up a foreign ditto on wonder trade a few days back. The IVs on it are pretty bad, but it can certainly be useful for Masuda Method shiny breeding.

Sotani November 5th, 2013 4:13 AM

I have a question about perfect IVs. I was releasing my plethora of eevees not too long ago and I realized that one of them had all his stats at 6 unlike a lot of my others who have at least one 5. Does that mean his stats are 'perfect'? If not, what's considered perfect?

ChipmunkGamingInc. November 5th, 2013 4:55 AM

I'm so sorry! My computer had to be wiped, and so... yeah.

Anywho, welcome to the club, both of you! I'll update the members section soon, don't worry.

And I also managed to get a German Frogadier, and an English Braixen for whoever would like one.

As for IV breeding, you can go to Pokecheck.org and follow the instructions there to upload your Pokemon in order to check it's IVs. It ain't fun, IV breeding. It ain't fun.

And, one more thing, totally unrelated, if someone could tell me why the heck I have a massive Gourgeist, I'd be appreciative. It's about twice as big, and I got her as a Pumpkaboo and she evolved, which was pretty neat. But I'd gotten two Pumpkaboo that day, and I have no idea why she's so much bigger.

Serebii says the size of pumpkaboo is based on /how/ you found it, but i don't know what that means. The form can't be changed though so you'll always have big pumpkaboo! I got all the sizes from wonder trade

An untrained Pokemon's stats are comprised of two components:
  • base stats - these are set per species, i.e. all Pikachu have the same base stats, all Axew have the same base stats, etc. You can find these online, on sites like bulbapedia or serebii. They can't be changed.
  • individual values - known as IVs. These are set per Pokemon, i.e. my Pikachu will have different IVs from your Pikachu or any other Pikachu. Each Pokemon has an IV of 0 to 31 in each of its six stats, HP, Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense and Speed. These are randomly generated when you catch or breed your Pokemon, and also can't be changed once the Pokemon was caught or bred. They are then scaled to the Pokemon's level and added to the base stats, that's how my Pikachu will have different stats that other Pikachu, even though they are the same species.

For example, here are two Munna I caught in the Dream Radar: https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=6111649 and https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=6111646. If you look at the Stats box, you can see that the Base stats are exactly the same, but the IVs are different. This is how those two Munna, even though they are at the same level, have different stats (those are in the Stat column). The higher the IVs, the higher stats of course, and what people refer to as perfect Pokemon are those who have IVs of 31 all around.

For reference, https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=6510761 is a perfect Eevee, while https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=6620124 has average IVs. As you can see, they both only have one stat at 5, and it's the stat that is lowered because of their Natures. My guess is that your Eevee who has 6 all around has a neutral Nature, such as Hardy, Docile, Bashful, Quirky or Serious, doesn't it?

Bottom line is, the higher the level, the easier it is to calculate a Pokemon's IVs, because they are more noticeable. For a level 1 Pokemon, you can either upload them to pokecheck like Maelstrom said, but since you can't do that with X/Y yet, your best bet is to go to the Battle Institute in Lumiose with those Pokemon. They will be automatically level to level 50, and while in battle, go to their summary page and input the species, Nature, characteristic and stats in an IV calculator, like http://www.metalkid.info/Pokemon/Calculators/IV.aspx.

Hope I helped :)

You did help! Thank you; i'm just not quite sure I get the idea behind 'perfect' but that's my fault, I need to do more research. I appreciate it.

Tek November 6th, 2013 7:54 PM

There are a couple of guides on gamefaqs that have to do with EV training hotspots. They go into great detail about natures and IVs as well as breeding methods. The EV training hotspot guide for pokemon black/white version actually has a diagram showing how to get an 'ideal' poke through breeding. Just thought I'd share since I have found them to be so useful :]

What is the Pokemon that you've bred that you are most proud of?: All perfect/penta/quadra flawless IV pokemons i've bred so far. Either through RNG-ing or the normal method. But I love Electivire. He's my treasure.

Partner Pokemon (Up to three, nicknames permitted): Electavire, Raichu, Jolteon

Trophy Pokemon (Read introduction for details):
Electavire "ThunderFur" Lv.100 Male (Shiny)
Ability: Motor Drive
Item: Life Orb
Nature: Adamant
Moveset: Thunder Punch/Ice Punch/Cross Chop/Earthquake
IV: 31/31/31/31/31/31
EV: 4 HP / 252 ATK / 252 Speed
Description: This guy is my most loved and prized possession back on my Platinum days. I used ThunderFur (sorry his nick) in every battle I engaged in. Got him through RNG abuse and raised him to battle E4 and online battles. I really love this guy, sadly he's gone now cause needed funds for Pokemon Y game so I cleared my save and sold the game... I miss him now that I think about him. Maybe someday I will get him reincarnated.

Answer to the Current Topic:
Will you participate in the current Pokemon Group Breeding Project? If so, give details if details for project are required:
Yes

Miau November 9th, 2013 4:55 AM

Welcome to the club, Marionz! You should definitely try and bring back your Electivire, with the changes to breeding mechanics in gen 6, it'll be a lot easier to breed it, even without abusing the RNG ;)

Thought I'd share my progress in my current breeding project: 5V Staryu, optional Shiny.

I started with an average Staryu that I fished up in my game, and a Japanese Ditto with perfect Sp. Attack and Speed. As soon as I got a 3V Staryu, I changed the parents, so now I'm using Staryu CDS* and another foreign Ditto HB. After breeding a full box, I ended up with four 4V Staryu, and I'll be swapping the parents again to increase my chances to get a 5V baby.

Not sure if I should insist to get a Shiny, since the odds are still very low, even with the Masuda Method. By the way, I noticed that getting good foreign Ditto is quite easy with the new GTS. You can filter out the people asking for legendaries, so no more crazy requests for Xerneas or Yveltal pop up + you can only choose to display Pokemon from a different region than yours, and only those requests for Pokemon you have.

* - I'm using the HABCDS notation, where H - perfect HP, A - perfect Attack and so on. Basically, Staryu HBCS means a 31/x/31/31/x/31, i.e. a Staryu with perfect HP, Defense, Special Attack and Speed. Oh, and nV means a Pokemon with n perfect IVs.

Tek November 9th, 2013 12:35 PM

Go for the shiny! Shiny Staryu are neat. Although it's already pretty good at 4V. I would've stopped at CDS Staryu lol, I generally go for 3V unless it's something really special.

Marionz November 9th, 2013 9:10 PM

yes i always see that "nV" thing whenever i go to GTS. But I don't trust what other people says yet, unless gamefreak decided to put an additional feature in the GTS wherein you can get a summary of the pokemon they're trading so as to at least calculate it for ourselves.

I just might go for shiny! And actually, it is really special, since it's going to be a gift for a friend ^_^

Yeah, I'd like to be able to see a better summary of the Pokemon on the GTS as well, right now we only have name, gender and level, that doesn't say much. At least they gave us those notes you can write in gen 6, and while I trust people and think the vast majority won't try to scam others, it only takes one bad experience until you can't trust anybody on the GTS anymore.

Marionz November 11th, 2013 4:59 AM

There is this one japanese guy who's claiming that his ditto has 6v and is trading it for a Yveltal... fortunately for me i got an extra from the GTS so i traded it away only to find out that his ditto was a trash.. i released it but i never remembered his name cause its japanese so now i don't trust anyone in the GTS anymore..

What is the Pokemon that you've bred that you are most proud of?: My near perfect Charmander! It has an amazing Modest nature <3

Partner Pokemon (Up to three, nicknames permitted): Flare the Marcargo (Helps with my daily breeding ^_^)

Trophy Pokemon (Read introduction for details):

Charmander Lv.1 / Male
Nature: Modest
Ability: Blaze
Move set: Scratch, Growl
IVs: 31 | X | 31 | 31 | 31 | 31 | 31

Answer to the Current Topic: Do you think breeding will change in X/Y? From what I've played, breeding hasn't changed much. If at all, I think it's gotten easier! <3 But before yeah, I was sure they were gonna do something to change the breeding mechanic and they've changed a few small things. :)

Will you participate in the current Pokemon Group Breeding Project? If so, give details if details for project are required:
I'll be participating! <3 I'll have a lovely pancake soon with an egg move! ~

Miau November 11th, 2013 1:15 PM

Welcome to the club, Typhon! Your Charmander is amazing! The perfect nature too, that's great! Is it RNGed, or did you breed it the standard way?

Breeding has gotten easier in gen 6, thanks to Destiny Knot, that ensures that 5 IVs from either parent will be passed down. Here's a list of changes to the breeding mechanics BTW :)

I was really excited about being able to pass down the mother's ball for the offspring, but sadly it doesn't work in a genderless x Ditto pairing, so all my Staryu were hatched in standard Poke Balls.

ChipmunkGamingInc. November 12th, 2013 5:37 AM

Wow. Just wow.

3 new members. I didn't think this club would get all this attention, seeing as I can't find anybody on the internet who does as much breeding as I do.

Well, I'm off to update the members section!

Oh, that was lucky, congrats!

I like to use the Everstone as soon as I get a baby with the nature I want, right now I'm breeding a Timid Staryu holding an Everstone and Ditto with Destiny Knot.

Savant November 14th, 2013 8:42 AM

Current Topic: What is the Pokemon that you've bred that took the longest time/most effort?

Uhh, I bred a shiny Eevee in X for no reason. I just had a JPN male and bred it with my female Eevee and in 20 eggs, boom! Shiny Eevee. Also last night I had to hatch 16 eggs to get a single female Meditite and then bred her with my male Kadabra so that her offspring could get Psycho Cut. One of the babies came out with a perfect 31 IVs in attack so woo!

Miau November 14th, 2013 10:02 AM

What is the Pokemon that you've bred that took the longest time/most effort?

Definitely my current project, since this is the first time that I actually have a goal in mind, and I have a bit of experience from the casual breeding I did in B2/W2. I'm currently at 3+ boxes of Staryu, so 100ish I'd say, and so far I have 6 babies with four perfect IVs and a bunch with three perfect IVs, thanks to Destiny Knot ^^

Savant, congrats on your Shiny Eevee! That's some twisted luck you got there though, it took you 20 eggs to get a shiny (odds being 1/1365) and 16 eggs to get a female (odds being 1/2)!

I've been trying to get a Run Away Oddish from the Friend Safari so I can breed it but I haven't encountered a single one so far! >_<

Miau November 15th, 2013 9:00 AM

So what eeveelution are you going for?

And were you ever online at the same time as your friend? Because hidden abilities only show up in the friend safari if you and your friend were online at the same time at some point.

Sotani November 15th, 2013 9:03 AM

This is off topic but I have another question about breeding perfect Ivs. Say I was going for 5 out of the 6 stats, is the goal to compensate for the stat that has the least base power, or is the goal to further develop the highest? Like.. Axew has base stats of

HP 46
Attack 87
Defense 60
Sp. Atk 30
Sp. Def 40
Speed 57

So is my goal to get a Axew that has pefect stats except for attack? Since clearly the attack is the highest regardless, or is my goal to try and get perfect attack and leave out special attack so that I can just kill whatever comes out with duel chop?

Miau November 15th, 2013 12:58 PM

Usually you should try to improve a Pokemon's best stats. In this case, Axew/Haxorus is an offensive Pokemon, and its Attack stat is much higher that its Sp. Attack, and its best moves are Physical moves, so it makes sense to invest in Attack and just ignore Sp. Attack.

If you check Haxorus's stats on bulbapedia, you can see that the maximum Sp. Attack (considering max IV, EVs and favorable nature) at level 100 is 240, while the minimum Attack stat (considering 0 IV, EVs and unfavorable nature) is 269. Why waste all the effort on Sp. Attack then, especially since if you invest in Attack, it can get as high as 432. So instead of good stats on both Attack and Sp. Attack, you get an average Sp. Attack (that will never be used anyway) and a killer Attack stat, that will help you defeat other 'mon in fewer moves.

Tek November 15th, 2013 3:14 PM

Miau put it well, you generally want to maximize a pokemon's better stats. Another thing to consider is what the poke's role in your party will be. For example, will a pokemon learn moves that use sp. atk or atk?

I actually ended up sacrificing my Kingler's speed stat (which is decent) to maximize its sp. def (which is meh). I did this because I raise lots of dragons, and I needed a pokemon that could stand up to ice type moves.

Sotani November 18th, 2013 6:33 PM

I managed to breed about 7 quirky 5 IV Axews with unnerve and I'm willing to give them out free to members of the club if anyones interested! Thank you guys for helping me understand IV breeding. I'm still working on a perfect Axew but the ones I bred are missing Sp. Attack which I heard is not a problem, a couple of them are missing Hp if you'd rather have that but I doubt it.

Miau November 19th, 2013 9:53 AM

Congrats, that's great! How many boxes did you breed? I'm just curious, since I've yet to get a 5 IV Staryu, though I can't really say exactly how many eggs I hatched, because I've been Wonder Trading them in the meanwhile.

BTW, I'd recommend Wonder Trading your bred Pokemon that you don't need, especially if you have a bunch. There are a lot of people doing this, so I was able to get a few 4+ IV Pokemon that I might use as parents later on.

Sotani November 19th, 2013 11:52 AM

Alright, the offer will still be open for a while. When I get my 6 IV i'll start wondertrading them. I'd say I bred around 5 boxes but I released ones that only had 1, 2 IVs and 3 later on when I was looking for 4+ so my boxes wouldn't get crowded.

I have a lot of pre-breeded pokemon for trading purposes that are taking up my boxes so i'm going to wondertrade those away tonight then release the pokemon I get back if they're common so I'll have more room for IV breeding.

I think it's actually pretty fun! I've always bred pokemon but Now I can breed for a reason. Goodluck on your Staryu, I honestly got very very lucky when passing on the stats. They all got exactly what they needed.

Tek December 7th, 2013 11:55 AM

There's a lot of good poké-breeding going on around here! I'm glad to be part of this group.

Current Topic: What is the Pokemon that you've bred that took the longest time/most effort?
I have FINALLY gotten my pair of Trapinch ready for breeding. Here they are:

PATRIARCH the Trapinch
Lv. 92 Brave Male
Earth Power/Feint/Quick Attack/Fissure
Perfect Speed IV

BROODMAMA the Trapinch
Lv. 90 Hasty Female
Earth Power/Feint/Dig/Fissure
Perfect HP IV

So, as you can see, they will produce some killer Flygon. BROODMAMA may have other perfect IVs, I'm away from my DS and can't remember right now. I plan to pass on PATRIARCH's speed IV and BROODMAMA's nature to the babies. If anyone wants one, just let me know! My friend codes are on my profile page.

Hey everyone! I'm Kana. I'm kind of new to breeding, since I've only started breeding this new generation (which- I dont know why.. I enjoy creating a perfect little poke ^_^) But this club seems like a perfect place to share my breeding adventures, and also to hear all of yours! I'm definitely interested in all the pokes others were able to breed for. Anyway, my sign up form:

What is the Pokemon that you've bred that you are most proud of?: I'm currently still on my very first breeding project. It's not complete yet, but so far I have 2 Bold Eevee's with 4IVs with Wish. Once I get the 5IVs I want (-Atk), I'll be extremely proud of it since it is my first project :) I'm also currently breeding with a Japanese Ditto so hopefully a shiny might pop out somewhere amongst all my eggs.
Partner Pokemon (Up to three, nicknames permitted): Lani the Espeon
Trophy Pokemon (Read introduction for details): I have none right now :(

Answer to the Current Topic:
Will you participate in the current Pokemon Group Breeding Project? If so, give details if details for project are required: Of course! First, I'll have to go and capture a female stunfisk of course. And in order to get the egg move Earth Power, I'll breed her with a male Corsola that I'll also have to capture and level up. Since I have a Corsola FS, I'll probably use that to find the father so that the baby can have the chance of getting a few IVs as well.

What is the Pokemon that you've bred that took the longest time/most effort? This Eevee project I'm currently working on has taken me 3 days as of now, and since it is my first.. it would be the longest and the most effort. XD Any expert tips for breeding by the way for a newbie? I think I have the basics down (passing down natures, egg moves, abilities, ivs)

Miau December 12th, 2013 9:48 AM

Hi Kana, good luck with your Eevee breeding ^^

I guess you already know all the items you need to pass down natures, IVs and abilities, like the Everstone and Destiny Knot. If you ever need good parents, the Friend Safari is a good place to start, since you are guaranteed to always get a Pokemon with at least two perfect IVs. Make sure to swap the parents as you go, i.e. start with a parent with 2 perfect IVs, when you get a baby with 3 perfect IVs, swap them so you can have better chances for the future babies.

A Pokemon with the ability Synchronize is preferred when you go out to catch parents, because you have a 50% chance that the wild Pokemon you encounter will have the same nature as your Synchronizer. It just needs to be the first in your party, it can even be fainted. So it's a good idea to have a bunch of Synchronizers with good natures to make stuff easier when you want to start a new breeding project.

Speaking of abilities, if you lead with a Pokemon with Cute Charm, you have a 66.6% chance that the wild Pokemon you encounter will be of the opposite gender, regardless of its species original gender ratio.

Oh and having a Pokemon with Flame Body in your party halves the time needed to hatch your eggs. My favorite is Talonflame; I also gave it Fly so I can easily go back and forth from the Day Care to Kiloude City to check in with the IV judge after I hatch a bunch of eggs.

Hope any of this was at least a bit helpful ;)

kanakinz. December 12th, 2013 11:24 AM

Thanks! ♥ It's a little time consuming, especially since it takes quite a lot of steps to hatch these eevee eggs! I found a trick that makes it a little easier than cycling back and forth on Route 7 however! I usually fly to Lumiose City, go to the very middle where the tower/gym is, and circle around and around until an egg hatches.

Thank you for the advice Miau! I actually love my talonflame as well for the same exact reasons ^_^

kanakinz. December 13th, 2013 5:19 PM

Finally got an Eevee with the 5ivs I wanted! (minus attack) I was hoping for a female, but hey, what were the chances of that happening? Lol. I'm gonna let the parents stay in there and produce a few more eggs, so hopefully I can have a few with 5ivs.

I'll probably work on that stunfisk later on today, and once I breed one of those I'll start my next project, Malamar! :pink_love:

// Edit: BTW, I got a female with the 5iv's I wanted. I named her Kairi, she's going to be my new Sylveon C:

Miau December 14th, 2013 2:38 AM

Congrats, Kana! I actually just watched the Eevee and Friends short this morning, I was going to hunt for female Eevee in the FS while watching, but my eyes were just glued to the my laptop screen and I was just standing there with my 3DS in my hands without even flying to Kiloude yet {XD}

I've started breeding Heliotile BTW, started with a JAP female with 4 perfect IVs and a male with 3 perfect IVs, and I couldn't believe it when my very first hatch was a 31/x/31/31/31/31 male o_O

@_espeon: Nice job on the eevee, kana. They DO take forever to hatch, don't they?

@_ChipmunkGamingInc.: I'm itching for a project. Let's breed something blue this time! Or pink, or whatever really :D

This morning I'm breeding a psyduck for a friend who likes pokemon that are confused, sleepy, or lazy. So far I bred a random psyduck with my Timid ditto to get a Timid female psyduck with a perfect special attack IV. Currently I'm leveling the father, which is a stantler with a perfect HP IV. He's going to pass hypnosis and confuse ray to the psyduck. I'll update once it's all said and done.

Update: six hours and six thousand pokedollars later, it's done. I'm attaching a photo to show the breeding chain. It got a bit complicated. Anyway here's the baby:

B****-Arms the Psyduck
Timid Male
Hypnosis/Confuse Ray/Confusion/Water Pulse
31|x|x|31|x|31

I plan to teach him Signal Beam and possibly Icy Wind at the battle frontier. Also nominating B****-Arms as a trophy pokemon. Sure, his Fury Swipes will barely even tickle, but as a special sweeper he totally rules.

What is the Pokemon that you've bred that you are most proud of?: My modest 31/x/31/31/31/31 Manectric, probably. Oh, and the shiny Gastly I hatched a few weeks ago!
Partner Pokemon (Up to three, nicknames permitted): Whimsicott, Mareep, Emolga

Trophy Pokemon (Read introduction for details): My Manectric! He may not be shiny but he is strong and awesome. He's my mega evolution in X and packs a punch when I use him.. him having the ability to learn Flamethrower sure helps out a lot too.

What is the Pokemon that you've bred that took the longest time/most effort?
I'm trying to breed nicely-IVed Litleos and am still not done. :( It's been taking weeks but that's because I want a male one with Unnerve and the chances of a boy hatching are 25%.. agh. Well, eventually I'll get there and it gives me things to do.

Not sure if I have time to participate in the breeding project yet but we'll see when my exams end!

kanakinz. December 14th, 2013 12:18 PM

Hi Sheep! Wow, congrats on hatching a shiny gastly! I'm absolutely in love with mega shiny gengar. The white looks crazy incredible.

Thanks Miau ^_^ Ooh, I watched that as well! It's so adorably cute. Haha, and I do that so many times as well! I'm distracted so easily. d: Wow, congrats! That's pretty lucky for your first hatch! I ended up doing my little Inkay/Malamar Project. I used a Froakie with 5ivs as the father and it took me less than 10 minutes to get a female Adamant Inkay with Contrary with 5ivs as well. I tried breeding them together for the next few hours in hopes of getting a flawless inkay, but that didn't work. I'll probably throw the parents back in later, after I've done other breeding projects. But I took some offspring from the froakie/inkay and got my 31|31|31|x|31|31 female inkay with contrary.

Thanks YZN! Congrats on the Psyduck! Cool egg moves. Lol.

I like the blue/pink idea. I would try for a shiny dratini. I love how its pink! It bothers me so much that shiny dragonite is green -___- Personally, I would like to do a project thats kind of holiday-winter related. Maybe I'll try breeding some type of ice pokemon. Any suggestions?

Arrgh... So jealous of gen 6 breeding mechanics. 4v is the best I can hope for even with a full on ditto ranch and hours of time. But I like this idea of breeding an ice type. I've decided to devote my Saturday mornings to breeding since I want to spend less time playing video games in my life generally.

And welcome to sheep. I don't have admitting privileges but welcome anyhow :]

Miau December 14th, 2013 4:00 PM

YZN, Psyduck definitely fits the bill (pun intended). My boyfriend was asking me the other day how come Psyduck isn't a Psychic-type, and I just told him that he doesn't have native psychic powers, he just has headaches {XD}

Jokes aside, yeah, breeding got a lot easier in gen 6, so I have to say that you did a great job with your Psyduck, congrats!

Sheep, welcome to the club! Wow, Mega Manectric looks so cool, I really need to go hunt for the mega stones, I don't know if I'll ever use even a few of them, but I wanna collect them all because they look like marbles. Oh but I didn't know Litleo was a mostly female species, what gives?

Kana, thanks, and congrats on your Inkay as well! It's one of my favorite gen 6 Pokemon, I used Baudelaire the Malamar♂ in my playthrough, and he was great! Now, there aren't any official sources, these are just my calculations, but if you're going for flawless, I think you're looking at a 1/192 rate with both parents with 5 perfect IVs and missing the same IV, a.i. 1/6 rate to have the undesired stat not passed down, and 1/32 rate to get a perfect IV in that stat. So about 6-7 boxes, but it could take less or more than that of course.

So guys, I kept breeding some Helioptile this afternoon, and well, let me introduce you to my very first MM shiny !!1!one!

http://i.imm.io/1mhS7.png
sorry for bad quality, oh and for the record, I can't wink my left eye
so he was so sad after this, and it kinda breaks my heart, that's why I hate the stupid face game

His name is Heinz - yeah, like the ketchup. Timid, Dry Skin, x/x/31/31/31/31, HP Dragon. I can't believe I got so lucky today, I'm probably going to have horrible luck for while {XD}

Oh and I also have an extra 5IV male, missing Atk, Timid, Dry Skin if anyone wants to take him, yup.

kanakinz. December 14th, 2013 9:04 PM

I didn't breed in any of the other gens ~_~ I guess I waited until it got easy lol. I'm gonna go back and restart some old games that I've had, so maybe I can attempt? Might be difficult this it is easier in gen vi. Lol.

So the parents need to be missing the same iv? Oops, see. I was doing parents with different spreads. I'll definitely give it a try later on, looks to me like it takes some patience and luck. But not impossible. So that's good.

Oh my goodness! OuO I'm super jealous!! Congrats on Heinz, hes really cute! Hehe. And pretty good ivs, you are sooo lucky. I'm not as lucky when it comes to MM. I spent ageeeeees on trying for a shiny mawile through MM. I gave up. -_-

By the way I completely know what you mean with that game. It frustrates me when it doesn't recognize my face. My pokes get so sad and its so heartbreaking and after I tried literally 15 times in a row and it wouldnt recognize my face tilted I gave up on that game forever.

Now working on Goodra/Goomy. Not feeling too lucky as I keep getting 1-2 ivs when the parents have 4 and 3. Wah.

Miau December 15th, 2013 1:47 AM

I started breeding in gen 5, just as an experiment when I found out about the mechanics. I actually was lucky enough to get 3 perfect IVs on one of my very first babies, a Bashful Growlithe, 00/26/31/31/27/31 - well, awful HP, but this little guy made me think, hey, this isn't so hard... I never got past 2 perfect IVs afterwards {XD}

Thank you! I always try to use parents from different languages, just in case I get that lucky. This time I didn't even know what shiny Helioptile looked like, so it was such a nice surprise, I'm glad he isn't alien green like other shinies o.O

Good luck with your Goomy! Try Wonder Trading those babies, people often WT theirs too, so you can get some nice Pokemon. I still have a box of 3-4 IVs Helioptile, and two boxes of 3-4 IVs Staryu, but I think I'll put Rare Candy and stones and stuff on those and WT them closer to Christmas, since they kinda fit with them being stars, hehe.

kanakinz. December 29th, 2013 1:02 PM

Hi Phantomwolf! I'm Kana. Welcome! Breeding has become an addiction for me, lol. What kind of pokemons have you bred so far?

My projects right now are:
- Trying again to MM a Shiny Mawile. (I did about 2 boxes but I'm taking another break becuase it took me almost forever to get a male with 5ivs and I'm tired of mawiles lol)
- Careful Trevenant with Natural Cure
- Calm Flabebe (that male 5iv mawile should help here lol).

PhantomWolf December 30th, 2013 1:46 PM

I have bred a nearly flawless gastly....multiple times. Right now I'm not sure what to breed next...

Edited because I don't like how the bergmites are doing...

ALSO! I found a iv probability calculator here: http://destinyknot.tk

kanakinz. December 30th, 2013 7:34 PM

Congrats on your gastly :pink_love:

That probability calculator looks like it'll be useful, thanks! I'm going to bookmark it lol.

My Phantump is pretty close to being done. I have a 4iv father and 3iv mother in the daycare. 2 of the IVs are the same so I'm just hoping that one with 5iv pops out of one of these eggs. Or at least a female with 4iv's that'll give me the desired spread I need in the babies. Lol

I've fallen behind on my weekly breeding project (as well as a number of other things). However, tonight I will breed a Swablu.
I will post the results when I'm finished. Which may be as late as tomorrow evening, so don't hold your breath. You will lose consciousness and fall down.

UPDATE: the Swablu is nearly ready! The mother has been bred and I'm leveling up the father right now. It may be a couple days until the father is ready since I've got to get it to Lv 49. I'm attaching an image of the breeding chain now. No incest this time, woohoo!

So, are there any breeding projects that y'all are working on? Did you hatch a shiny Mawile yet, kanakinz?

Miau January 11th, 2014 4:54 AM

Good luck with your Swablu! I've fallen behind on breeding as well, nothing new since the Helioptile project sadly.

I do want to breed a Pokemon for a friend's birthday though; apart from favorites, what do you guys think would make a good gift to breed for? Like what would you like to receive?

Tek January 11th, 2014 5:57 AM

Starters would be a solid choice, either just one or a set of three from a region. Depending on how much time you wanna spend, you could add in egg moves or shinies.

kanakinz. January 14th, 2014 5:46 PM

I've been a little busy, so my projects have also (lol) been on hold. I finished my Trevenant actually. Careful with 5IVs (forgot if I left out attack or sp.attack). During this process I got really lucky and hatched a shiny! Not sure if I'll use him though.

My shiny mawile refuses to come out, YZN. Lol. But some of the males are perfect for breeding my flabebe. :) My hours at work are slowing down, so I should be able to find the time.

As for what to breed Miau, I also agree on the starters idea. Who doesn't love at least one of the starters? Depending on who you're sending to, cute pokemon could be an idea too. I for one love my cute pokemon ^-^ But thats just me lol

Tek January 15th, 2014 4:30 PM

Hm yeah shinies are tough to hatch. I haven't hatched one since gen II LOL.

I have an idea for a new topic! Which pokemon do you use to keep your eggs warm and why? I use a Magby in HG that I got from the pokewalker. Why? So I didn't have to go and catch another pokemon! :] Also I think it's neater to have a Magby follow me around rather than a Slugma.

Miau January 16th, 2014 9:25 AM

I'm on the Talonflame bandwagon. Flame Body + Fly = WIN. My Talonflame, Fournier, is male though, so it's pretty funny when you think about it, I don't know if there are any bird species in real life where the male hatches eggs too {XD}

I didn't breed much in gen 5, but I remember using Litwick, which is rather odd now that I think about it, since they're supposed so leech off the life force of those around it, so...

And thanks for the suggestions guys, I'll see what I can think of and post about how it went afterwards :)

Tek January 24th, 2014 3:49 PM

Talonflame is winning as an egg hatcher, for sure. And I didn't know that about Litwick, makes me worried about my eggs on White version o_O

I'm still leveling up that Hoothoot, but the dream-eating Swablu IS on its way...

Also I maed a breeding challenge! It's in the challenges forum lol.

Miau January 25th, 2014 4:33 AM

Your challenge looks great, YZN, I actually never used a bred Pokemon before the E4, so it would definitely be something new for me to try! I won't be signing up right away though, as I have a couple of challenges in progress right now.

Anyway, I think I should share my latest project: I'm breeding for shiny right now! It's the first time I'm trying the MM deliberately, not just IV breeding with foreign parents for that odd chance, so wish me luck! I kinda need it too, I have 6 full boxes right now, and still no shiny...

I won't reveal what the mother is, since it's supposed to be a surprise, but the father is a 5IV Italian Bulbasaur -- well, now a level 50+ Venusaur from all the time spent it the daycare! The person I got it from wanted a 5IV Storm Drain male Shellos that I bred for him from a Friend Safari Gastrodon and a 3IV Froakie. The full process in the spoiler, I had fun making that pic~

Tek January 25th, 2014 1:24 PM

Good luck on the shiny! MM odds are better but not great. And those are nice IVs on that Shellos, too.

You don't have to tell me if I'm right, but I'm going to guess who the mother is for your current project. Bulbasaur is in the monster and grass groups. So my poke-breeding intuition tells me... It's either Abamasnow (winter poke) or Cherrim (cutie pie).

Miau February 1st, 2014 12:09 PM

Hehe, it's Petilil that I'm breeding actually. And did I say 6 boxes? Well, make that double and then some; I'm sitting on 13 boxes and still no shiny Petilil :(

Sooo, I'm taking a break and decided to breed a doubles team that I have planned. My first goal: Adamant Dry Skin Croagunk with Fake Out and Drain Punch passed down from Mienfoo. Since three of my planned Pokemon will need to be Adamant, and it's a popular nature anyway, I first bred a Sync Ralts with a random Adamant Pokemon and got an Adamant Ralts with Synchronize, that I planned to use to catch some nice females in the Friend Safari.

The bad news is that afterwards I realized that I'm don't have anyone with Croagunk or Mienfoo in their FS :(

The good news is that I managed to get a few Mienfoo and then a Croagunk off the GTS. And lo and behold, the Croagunk was a 5IV Adamant male, with all egg moves: Quick Guard, Bullet Punch, Fake Out and Drain Punch! So after breeding with Ditto first and then swapping it with a 4IV female, I managed to get an identical male with my OT/ID in just 10 eggs ^^
