Well, THANK goodness for new updates & stuff. I've been waiting for starter evos for MONTHS now.

I'm sorry. Imma jump on the bandwagon for Chespin's first evo because..well yeah, it's Pignite in a grass-type. I can't imagine its second evo. As much as I wanted to use Chespin as my starter, Fennekin won my heart once again and I might as well use it because its first evo is just simply amazing and I love the design of it!

& now I know that I'll be getting Pokemon X because of Mewtwo X. SO MUCH BETTER than the prev. megaevolution. :D

Spinosaurus September 11th, 2013 8:12 AM

Jesus guy it's another Pignite because it's "fat"? :/

Is Charizard a Pignite too?

SnowpointQuincy September 11th, 2013 8:14 AM

WHAT HAPPEND TO STEEL! Doesn't resist Ghost and Dark anymore! To be honest, it's still a fair change. Steel still resists 10~ of the 18 types.

TEAM CHESPIN!! IT'S STILL GOOD, it's just a little husky, IT'S STILL GOOD!

Dillon_68 September 11th, 2013 8:17 AM

Sticking with Chespin til the end, I like the 2nd form.

latioslegends September 11th, 2013 8:18 AM

Not sure if it's just me, but that Chespin is the happiest volleyball I've seen in my life.... hopefully he seems more practical in his final evolution. =/

Got to love how they gave Froakie the poison dart frog appeal, and Fennekin looks deviously elegant! I do wish though it would have earned a psychic as a second type.

Still, awesome update! The new dino pokes, and Mewtwo, look like they be great to have on a team. =]

Last Entei September 11th, 2013 8:20 AM

Fennikens second evo looks cool apart from the stick hanging from its back side xD

It's great to see there's people who like it. I'm getting used to Chespin. I'm sure it'll evolve into something cool looking just like Seedot's line did. Ironically it's rumored that Chespin will be Grass/Dark...just like Shifty...

SnowpointQuincy September 11th, 2013 8:33 AM

People that don't like Chespin don't like happiness. Just look at the little guy.

Love the Ice Skin ability! Normal Attacks are Ice Type.

The Ice Dino's face looks to round - like it is incomplete somehow....

Fennekin must not be Fighting Type

Not to be a jerk but that's not ironic. It's coincidental.

The ice dino reminds me of one of the unreleased Pokemon.

Rock/Dragon & Rock/Ice Dinosaur Pokemon.

My prayers have been answered.

But Jesus Christ Gamefreak, is a quadruped Fire Starter too much to ask for? Out of the three Evolutions, I think Froakie's is the best, then Chespin's right behind it.

Yeah it does! It's weirdly simple and childish in design.

Yup, it was about time.
Maybe it'll get back on it's four legs upon evolution...however I'm doubting it if the theory of it being based off a witch is true...

It does look very simple...but then again haven't people been complaining about over complicated Pokemon for the past two generations? (if not three)

Good find! I never spotted that. A Steel resisting Ghost type moves is too silly in my opinion, although I'm still not sure why Psychic moves are still resisted.

As for new Pokemon, I was right in speculating a Rock/Dragon Fossil Pokemon! I guess it was around just after Arceus created the Pokemon World, maybe it was the first ever Fossil Pokemon?

Dinosaurs aren't the oldest creatures, especially the T-Rex so I really doubt they'll make it one of the first ever fossil Pokemon.

Fennekin's evolution isn't part Fighting. Good. Although there's still the final evolution... >_> Still leaning towards Froakie, and I don't really mind Chespin's evolution.

...and joy of joys, they gave Garchomp a Mega evolution. Because the thing wasn't enough of a pain as it was.

atomtanned September 11th, 2013 8:49 AM

Wow, so much new info! I can't WAIT for these games... only a month to go...

My thoughts on these:
  • I'm not a huge fan of the new Mewtwo mega evo… I don't know. It's so bulky, and the feet kind of creep me out a bit? I was hoping it was the version Y exclusive, since I'm getting X. Oh well.
  • I think the new Pokemon look great! That ice fossil Pokemon is the cutest. I love that you can change the poodle's hairstyles!
  • Not super impressed with the starter evos, but as people have said, they are the middle stages, and so they could look totally different by the end. I almost always pick a fire-type starter, and I'm pretty bummed on Fennekin's evo. Why does it have to stand up? Why is it single type still? What is with that stick in its tail? Froakie's looks pretty cool, though, and I actually think Chespin's is really cute...
  • YES to character customization!

Yes and now it's ability powers up Rock, Steel, and Ground moves by 30 percent (it has Sand Force) so that adds to the pain...
I can't wait for the official site to update so we can get a clue as to which stats will be raised...I have a feeling it'll be attack and speed.

Game Freak knows it be trollin. Let's take a pokemon that kills everything with one hit, mega-evolve it, then add 30% to his STAB attack!!!

I bet Mega Salamence will have Moxie and become faster and bulkier...MegaDragonite will proably have Multiscale and like wise become faster and gain more special attack which will make it a mix sweeper.

I.T. September 11th, 2013 9:11 AM

Chespin's evolution is a JOKE! Hahaha! Chespin is taking the Tepig route with this 1st stage evolution form reveal. I knew all along Froakie would be the one to benefit the most from evolving (design wise). Also Mega Mewtwo X looks so bad ass! I'm even considering canceling my pre-order for Y version and pre-order X version instead just because of it.

Well to be fair it cant use Choice Scarf if you choose to mega evolve it and Dragons overall have been nerfed this gen, so while I agree that this pokemon really didn't need a power up it still has its limitations. Also if it gets too powerful, to Ubers it goes.

It's also possible it could've gained a boost in speed meaning it wouldn't need the Choice scarf, plus it won't be limited to a certain move anymore...but yeah to Ubers it goes.
