I wonder if we will get the Fossils early on or really late like in Kanto!

Spinosaurus September 16th, 2013 10:50 AM

There's a slim chance Tyrunt is gonna evolve into a Dragon. In most asian countries, Dinosaurs are dragons anyway. That explains why Haxorus and Garchomp are dragon type despite looking more like prehistoric dinosaurs. (or in the case of Garchomp, a land shark, which are technically prehistoric.) He'll evolve into a Theropod, no doubt about it. (The question is, WHICH Theropod. T-rex is the most probable by far right now.)

Also I hope that if they are early, the process in getting them isn't as tedious as it is in D/P/Pt. Ugh. R/S/E got it perfect for the fossils.

Actually Tyrunt is already part Dragon xD It's Rock/Dragon.

I feel the RSE and other fossils took a long time evolve...

Spinosaurus September 16th, 2013 10:58 AM

Yeah, I know. What I meant is that it won't evolve into an actual Dragon.

And DPPt fossils evolved the earliest. At 30. The rest of the fossils evolved at 40. :V

EDIT: Guys the T-Rex wasn't the most dominant dinosaur. There's even evidence that it was more of a scavenger. >_>
It's most definitely a reference to popular belief. I do hope we get a Giganotosaurus instead of a T-Rex though, or a Carnotauros (my favorite dinosaur) which isn't likely at all.

Oh that. Well I doubt it will too.

Opps got them confused...I actually liked the DPPt early evolution. However they sort of did felt like they were too early...
Speaking of levels I hope the evolution levels aren't as high as some of the Unova Pokémon...Volcarona and Hydreigon take forever...

Evolving Pokes at lv 70-75 sounds like huge effort, but I imagine that it'd be worth it in the end. Plus--and this is a thought that just crossed my mind--what if there was a Poke that would evolve at lv 100? I think that would be pretty cool more or less, but I think I might be alone in that thought. xD;

Pokemon that evolve at level 100 would be bad idea, wht if I accidently press B? I won't have a second chance to evolve it...
But I think it would be nice if pokemon will evolve more on later levels(not 100!), it will make us appreaciate more the evolution when I suffer alot from the pokemon being weak on the first stages.

OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire September 16th, 2013 12:07 PM

As long as they space out the evolutions...and it's three stage...but I still think it's too insanely high...

Spinosaurus September 16th, 2013 12:18 PM

Pokemon evolving at too high a level is terrible and one of the things I hated about B/W. Why should I wait so long/grind a lot for my Pokemon to evolve? Even trading is more tolerable. :/

55 should be the highest like it was, and even that's too high and should be exclusive to the very rare Pokemon.

Now I have no complain.

I tend to agree with Spinosaurus. I found it very annoying how long it took Volcarona and Hydreigon to evolve. Especially the first time. I dunno, I know that in theory a higher level evolution might sound interesting but holy crap would it be annoying in practice. Its bad enough grinding for the E4 in game usually, lol.

Yeah...it was tiresome to evolve Volcarona and Hydreigon...in the end I ended up using all the rare candies I had save throughout the journey to evolve my Hydreigon...too much grinding...

I have a bad feeling that they're going to continue the trend of high leveled evolutions, if they increased the cap from 55 to 64 in Generation V then they can easily do the same again and increase it to something like 70..

Iceshadow3317 September 16th, 2013 12:58 PM

I actually liked the higher levels. It really wasn't that bad in Black and White, all my pokemon were easily Level 55's before the last battle against Ghestis. Not to mention you could easily level them with the daily rematches in the Sports Stadiums and that + Lucky egg= massive xp.

Please don't Gf...not a Level 70 evolution...I'll rather more stone evolutions than having to grind for an evolution...

I'm hoping they wont, I'm just trying to think logically.. they could do it but I don't think they'd go that far.

that would be a COMPLETE night mare. lol. and yes. the gen 5 evos levels were ridicoulous. lol(*cough hydreigon *cough)
I liked gen 1-4 though so I hope x and y does soemthings like that.

OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire September 16th, 2013 1:05 PM

Speaking of stones. I do think more stone evolutions will be nice (as long as they sell them of course like in Gen I and III Kanto, or obtained by points like in HgSs) as some stones seem very underused...

JP September 16th, 2013 1:09 PM

I kind of like the high level evolutions. Maybe not on ALL new Pokemon, but on certain ones, maybe the rarer and more 'powerful' ones, I like it. Makes them feel that much more special in my eyes *coughVolcaronacough*

Cyclone September 16th, 2013 1:14 PM

So let me understand something. The new starters have no secondary types in their initial evolutions?

Yes, that's correct. Hopefully though they'll gain them in their evolutions.

That's right, but there's still the third stage evolution yet to be revealed which could potentially gain them a second typing.

This will only happen if the Pokemon's basic form is available very late-game (like near the Pokemon League), which is why Rufflet, Vullaby, Larvesta, and Deino have such a high level up to evolve. It's also why Deino fully evolves at lvl 64 rather than the usual lvl 55 with other pseudos, and this issue would've been solved if Deino was available much earlier in BW rather than being limited to Victory Road.

Cyclone September 16th, 2013 1:45 PM

Based on Psycho Cut being learned, Fennekin is still a safe guess for future Psychic. I mean, the evolution has a TWIG in its Tail and it still has that playful personality from it (to me). Chespin learning Mud Shot suggests Ground is the way it's going, but Bounce for Froakie just doesn't make sense (I can't see it flying).

Spinosaurus September 16th, 2013 1:50 PM

A frog knowing how to bounce makes perfect sense. >_>

TreeKangaroo September 16th, 2013 2:10 PM

Do you guys want to know what'd be really awesome?! A water/rock megalodon shark fossil Pokemon.
