Favorite Fifth Gen Pokemon
Who is your favorite Fifth Generation Pokemon?
Spoiler:
Favorite Pokemon
mine is the OG Hexorus is my favorite Pokemon
Hydregion is my favorite as well. It's an amazing special-attacking Pokémon, who has the ability to knock out any Pokémon with just a single hit. It also has good defensive stats and quite a large movepool. The only thing that's holding this Pokémon back is its Speed stat, which is very low. If it wasn't for that, Hydregion would've been unstoppable. (: Minccino is my favorite, too, because it's fluffy and cute. Very cute. If it was a real-life animal, then I would always keep it in my arms.
If one knows by now, my fave Pokemon is obviously Oshawott. He's cute, he's awesome and an awesome evolution line themed around samurais. I never would have found so many fave things of mine in a Pokemon, and he's now my official mascot Pokemon and always will be.
As if my username doesn't give it away, it is Jellicent. I just love his design especially the male one and he has a fabulous typing. He is a great Pokemon to use defensively and just overall nearly perfect. With a generation like gen 5 that introduced so many amazing Pokemon it is really hard to pick a favorite, but Jellicent wins here! =D
Lampent has the best cry in all of Pokemon. The whole Litwick family is just awesome. First to be fire/ghost and they pull it off.
http://pldh.net/media/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite_animated_front/548.gif
It's safe to say this little babe owns my heart. |
It'll have to be Samurott, it's design and concept as well as it's ability to use it's swords which are sheathed in it's legs is really neat!
My all time favorite for Unova is non other than Kyurem in it's both forms.
My favorite Unova Pokemon is also my favorite Pokemon in the entire (Pokemon) world too.... and that honor goes to Watchog.
It has never let me down (it helped me take down 2 of the 4, of the Elite4 in 3 different Unova games), with the right move set it's always going to be a companion of mine. Any of my games isn't complete (and I won't play it - unless I'm playing a specific challenge like my all water team) without Watchog. Really love it's fur markings (that illuminate) and color - brownish-red, the tuft, the eyes. I also liked his Japanese voice (compare to the English German or French). |
My favourite Pokemon of Unova is none other than Volcarona!
my favorite Unova pokemon is the Rubbish bag pokemon Trubbish...
Mine is Eelektross because holy crap does it look awesome. It's also powerful from both sides(115 Atk/105 Sp.Atk), has zero weaknesses and pretty good defenses.
Vanilluxe cause' it's just so damn adorable, it may be an ice-cream cone but it's a cute one at that! It also has pretty decent stats paired with a nice movepool which definitely came in handy during my Pokémon White Playthrough.
Mine is definitely Hydreigon, both for sentimental reasons and the fact that it's just a really cool Pokémon.
zoroark for sure! actually really surprised to see the amount of different opinions in here. pleasantly surprised.
i just like how badass zoroark is. I almost like it as much as jolteon or arcanine.. almost |
Well, I think the looks of Bisharp is more badass than that of Zoroark. I like the radical design, even though it's not my favorite.
http://pldh.net/media/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite_animated_front/625.gif One of my personal favorites is the elegantly designed Swanna (As well as its cute pre-evolution Ducklett). My passion for water-types and birds shows why. |
My favorite 5th gen Pokemon is Zoroark. When paired with Cresselia in double battles it provides a decent defense for Cresselia. It also has the tricky Illusion ability, which is nice because the last Pokemon in my party is always Heracross.
I like conkledurr the thing is a total bosssss
I think Haxorus would take the cake for me. I used one in my White 2 playthrough and I named him Kenneth. I think he was the first Pokémon on my team that I gave a headcanon personality (Being pretty much exactly like Kenneth from 30 Rock which is who he's named after). He made my playthrough glorious. He destroyed everything and every battle in our path, too.
http://pldh.net/media/dreamworld/620.png
I may like grass-types, and Samurott, but I absolutely adore Mienshao. Not only because it's the most powerful Pokemon to use in battle, and the strongest fighting type, but its design reminds me of martial arts and I really like that. Mienshao will always hold a special place in my heart. |
I am going to say Ferrothorn here because he is one of my favorite walls to use. One time I was almost dead with my staller Ferrothorn being last up against a No Guard Golurk. He knocked me out with a Dynamic Punch BUT Iron Barbs and Ferros Rocky Helmet made him faint first! Damn I am lucky xD
My favourite 5th Gen pokemon is Excadrill because of it`s amazing Attack and HP combined with it`s decent speed and the fact it can learn Swords Dance, which makes it the most fearsome non legendary Pokémon there is. It is also immune to Toxic and Stealth Rock adding a bonus as well.
Zekrom for sure, as soon as I saw him I was absolutely awestruck. It's my favorite Legend besides the 3 Wildcat Beasts. He was the gem in a pile of filthy slag (as far as Gen 5 Legendaries go) so he really stands out to me. Excluding this Legend, my favorite is probably...
a tie between Mandibuzz and Sawsbuck. |
lol Jellicent. The female, specifically. c:
They're just so cute and squishy. <3 Plus they have a lot of HP which I love in a Pokemon. <3 |
Throh and Sawk. I like them best because there fighting type, there based on judo and karate experts which is cool and I like there designs too. btw Just being fighting type would make any Pokemon one of my favourites.
I don't know if I have a single favorite, but one of the first that comes to mind that I really like is Sigilyph. It's basically a Lugia-lite that's available before the halfway point in the games, yet it still rivals Pokemon like Alakazam and Slowking in terms of stats. It also has a pretty interesting and colorful design, which really helps it stick out.
I love Scolipede. It's a huge, purple, squishy centipede. I just wish he had just a little bit more Attack. He has 90 base which is good, but more is always better.
Tepig, or Pokabu, as some call it. It is a charm to have, even though I dragged it from the team kicking and screaming. I should have got a girl and used it for breeding... darn!
Mine is snivy. It's such a cutie and when it evolves to sepherior it can be very strong, if you choose carefully its moves
Whimsicott! It's become one of my absolute favorites. :D Though I also adore Mienshao, Serperior, Emolga, Victini, Lillipup.. so hard to choose.
I'm going to have to say Kyurem, I think the fusion aspect is pretty cool.
Joltik. Because who doesn't love a fuzzy yellow spider?
...Or maybe it's a tick? Aw, who cares? It's adorable. |
Igloo here!
I have to say Zorua! Pokedude likes zoroark. Did you know that I'm actually a zorua disguised as a human? And pokedude is a zoroark. |
Emolga, that is just the cutest Pokemon in Unova. Size, voice and physique and those cute small hands. Ammggg <3
Meh, so many nice new things to choose from. I personally enjoyed Chandlure with his cool typing. None of my friends care about EVs and natures really. I would send out Boo and they'd be like HA how unoriginal. I just swept your team :| Sup

In case it wasn't so obvious xD I just love Servine and its design overall, and it's been my mascot Pokémon ever since I first saw it. It just also came tied to me when a large website I used didn't have the name "Servine" in use, so I just grabbed it and the name has stuck around with me since, and I love the Snivy line overall too. |
I think for me at least it goes without saying...
But just incase my favourite 5th gen Pokemon is Vanilluxe! |
I'm probably the only one but the adorable slimey Reuniclus got the trigger of my heart.
The entire evolution line are a bunch of adorable little kittens to me anyways. |
Hm. I've always loved Snivy. He's simply adorable. I have a plushie of him too that I got just this year. <3 There's others I've liked though too such as um... *thinks* Purrlion. omg Purrlion is so cute because I love kitties. ^w^
Hehe, I have many favorites, but I'll try to be brief. First off is Snivy/Servine/Serperior. She was my first starter, ever, so she's my favorite starter, though I love the final evolutions of all three starters.
Then there's Purrloin/Liepard. One word: kitties! She was a bit frail, but very fun to use with a bit of training. Same goes for Woobat/Swoobat, who are really, really adorable, even though the animal they're based on terrifies me in real life. And a special favorite of mine would be Golurk, because of its origin, that I'm particularly interested in, plus I think he was the first Pokemon that I've ever EV trained, and its power amazed me. Honorable mention for interesting Pokemon that I haven't used yet: Volcarona, Mienshao, Reuniclus and Chandelure. |
http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/547.gif
This little bby right here. I absolutely love its design and its shiny isn't bad either! I never used it in game due a full party, but I would if played a second time around. |
I have to go with Haxorus. It's very powerful, hits hard and gets some cool moves to use stuff like Dragon Dance or choice items with. You don't want to be on the receiving end of an Outrage from this thing ;D
My favorite Unova legendary is Reshiram. I love its design (I got over the weird tuft of fur on its lower body, which prevented me from liking it at first) and also its color, and it speaks to me on a more personal level in that it stands for truth. It is also my second all-time favorite Pokemon. My favorite non-legendary Unova Pokemon is Audino. It's just such an adorable little chub! I get happy whenever I come across one. I also like how it can tell how a Pokemon or person is feeling using its ears.
I like Zorua / Zoroark.
Firstly because their ability fools most players regardless of whether they're real or NPCs. Secondly because they're canines. I was disappointed that in the original Black and White, you could only get them through events I could never access, and thrilled when you got one for free in the sequels. |
My fave Pokemon of Gen 5 is obviously Victini. It's cute and strong too.
I have lots of favourites including Serperior, Zoroark, Krookodile, Darmanitan, Dewott, and Braviary. I think they all look cool so they all appeal to me. I like some of the cuter ones like Emolga, Oshawott, and Sandile too but they aren't at the top of my favourites list.
Cryogonal probably. So cool. pun lol
Ever since I used it in a RP, I've been kind of fascinated by it and its dex entry and ice chains. Reshiram and Volcarona are also pretty cool; I like Fire types a lot, I've realized lately. And also Bug types, so Volcarona is a golden piece there. Regarding design alone, Emboar is also very nice, especially its blue shiny form. |
Hydreigon. Design, unique type, and can learn moves from almost every type.
Wow, I love so many Gen 5 Pokemon. But my reigning champ has to be Terrakion. It's design is awsome, it's friggen strong, and the one I caught has 20+ IV stats all across. Plus it knows Sacred Sword!
Out of all the pokemon in the fifth gen I have to say that the Joltik line is my utmost favourite. It's designs are really appealing and the bug/electric typing is a big plus. I always imagine people getting shocked by tiny Joltik and I find it really funny.
For me it would be a tie between Cofagrigus and Reuniclus. I love the concepts behind them, an Egyptian sarcophagus and a multiplying cell pokemon...what's not to love? They're also great battlers. They served me very well in white.
I love so many 5th gen pokemon though so I have some honourable mentions: Scolipede, Conkeldurr, Darmanitan, Oshawott/Samurott, Sigilyph, Swanna, Golurk, Galvantula, Volcarona, Accelgor. There's no beating Cofagrigus and Reuniclus for me though. |
Chandelure & Braviary are tied for my two favorite Unova Pokemon. Incredible designs, stats, moves, etc. Chandelure with one of the coolest type combinations there is.
Litwick. Its evolution line as well but Litwick is my favorite out of the three and favorite overall.
Honorable mentions go to the following: Joltik, Snivy, Petilil/Lillgant, and Whimsicott |
Foongus! It's so cute the way it rocks back and forth and constantly smiles; I would adore to meet one in real life. The deadly spores are a turn off and the evolution into the gross Amoonguss is unfortunate but I adore Foongus on its own.
Cofagrigus is awesome! :D I loooove a pokémon with great defenses :3 And the fact that It's ghost type just adds to the coolness of this pokémon! Kinda scared for it if pokémon actually existed in real world :D
Excadrill, Samurott and Hydreigon are among my favorite Gen V Pokemon. Excadrill was an absolute monster in sandstorm, before being banned to Ubers, Samurott learns good moves and has good stats and Hydreigon's movepool is incredibly massive. That, and their designs are really good.
I'm a huge fan of Sigilyph. Gotta love the design, and I use it competitively from time to time. It was also a huge help during my white 2 nuzlocke, providing some bulk to my rather unimpressive party.
Hmm. I wonder who likes Zorua. . . and Zoroark. . . No, no, it definitely couldn't be me. . .
But I also love Deino, Zweilous, and Hydreigon, not only because they're super cute but because their names include German numbers, and I'm learning German. So when I realized that about their names it was just more to love. one two three~ |
That's a tough one. Oh, wait. No, it's not. I just remembered. Krookodile. I have a Krookodile, and her name is Rasputin. Yes, I know, koff~
You know how bad Krookodile is? She's so bad that all the bikers got her as a patch on their leathers, that's how bad. I like the claws, I love the sand, I love the colors. Krookodile is the baddest of them all, koffi~ ps: krokodil on the other hand is a horrible disfiguring drug that resides mainly in Russia. |
I really like Chandelure and Jellicent, these two ghost types are so cute and I like their typings. I love that Jellicent has water absorb, and Chandelure has Flash fire. Defensively, Jellicent is great, and Chandelure has amazing special attack stats.
I really, really like Oshawott. I'm not sure if Oshawott's my favorite gen 5 Pokemon of all time (that's really difficult to say!) but I think it's adorable, and gets way too much hate. Dewott and Samurott are okay, but I just love Oshawott in its first form! So cute!!
I also like Petilil, Whimsicott, Purrloin/Liepard, Swoobat, and a lot of others I can't think of right now. |
Well to be honest i really love Beartic because its a giant ****ing polar bear i called mine MO'FO BEAR for obvious reasons
Meloetta all the way! It has that innocent look and it's so powerfull at the same time.
http://pokecheats.net/dex/bw/anim-n/648.gif |
Jellicent for me! I just love everything about this Pokemon from it's design to is wonderful defensive niche. I first used Jellicent in-game and then later on my competitive teams and I have been nothing but impressed each and every time.
This is a hard one for me. If I had to just pick one, I'd say Scrafty. Having a duel dark/fighting was really awesome.
But some other favorites of mine are Serperior, Kroodadile, Carracosta, Haxorus, Volcarona, and ferrothorn |
Volcarona (Very good design and powerful as well, with a unique typing) and Braviary (Great looking bird pokemon that's actually good in battle) are my favourites, but I only really like a handful more. Sorry guys, but I feel that this generation's pokemon fell flat.
Hmm...this is kind of a tough choice. I like Haxorus, as it's one of my favorite Dragon-type Pokémon. A favorite Fire-type Pokémon I like is Darmanitan.
Personally, I loved many of the Pokemon the Black and White introduced. Snivy and Oshawott's families really impressed me. Oshawott's being my absolute favorite.
Stoutland and Haxorrus were definitely some favorites too. |
Quote:
I feel bad about it because I use it quite often. It's a fun typing to play with, the little fire bug, koffi~ |
It's kind of tough considering Gen V is my first Gen to play. But I'll have to go with the Oshawott line, more specifically Samurott since it can sure pull off a Swords Dance set as well as having sentimental value to me. Plus he's the first Pokemon that made it to Level 100 in my team, and that was just recently.
Worthy mentions are Chandelure and Conkeldurr. Chandelure has Flash Fire to go well with its great Special Attack, while Conkeldurr's Speed seems to be the only thing holding it back. It really is a good Pokemon to have As far as legendaries go, it's a tie between Cobalion and Zekrom. My Zekrom wrecks anything thanks to its Adamant nature (that was lucky!) and Cobalion just stands out to me the most out of the four Swords of Justice. Good generation overall. |
Well, since Unova introduced more genuinely good pokemon than pretty much any other generation, it's hard to pick just one. Krookodile, Scrafty, Mienshao, Chandelure, Reuniclus, Hydreigon, Volcarona, Bouffalant, Excadrill, Galvantula, Escavalier, Jellicent, Golurk, Lilligant, Darmanitan... all great pokemon - good designs, good stats and good movepools.
But one personal favorite? I guess it would have to be Leavanny. It just has an air of nobility that really appeals to me. It looks like (and was obviously patterned after) a swordfighting cavalier (well... that and a praying mantis, which I also like). Bug/Grass is a useful offensive dual typing, and since I know how and when to switch, its weaknesses don't bother me, and it's got good speed and terrific attack. Mostly though, I just like it, and have from the first time I used one in-game. |
Scolipede is awesome! Also Leavanny, Scraggy, Dwebble, Joltik/Galvantula.
I never like electric pokemon untill Joltik/Galvantula - My favorite elec of all! Most Special Sweepers don't look like normal animals. Special Sweepers are often bizarre shaped alien monsters. Gen 5 Gave us Zoroark, a special sweeper that looks like a normal animal AND has a fun ability. And Volcarona is an AWESOME moth that fits the bill nicely. ALSO - Trubbish and Garbador. They are actually good pokemon! I consider most of Gen 5 to be my 'favorite' pokemon. The only pokemon I would blacklist would be Sawk and Throw, cottonee (whimsicott is fine). and Timbur's Line, they are just so lumpy - I wish there was a pink one with a floral design! Only those four stand out as bad right now. The others I love a lot. |
Kyurem is my favorite Pokémon of Generation V. Its fantastic concept, overall uniqueness and great, intriguing designs make it a definite all-time favorite of mine. No matter which Forme I'm using it in, I'm always having loads of fun using it.
Some of my other favorites are Reshiram, Zekrom, the Kami, Hydreigon, Samurott and Volcarona. Really, there's so much I like about Gen V. |
I loved the odd bugs Volcarona, Escavalier, and Accelggor and the odd stuff like Yamask, Cofagrigus, and Sigilyph.
Victini, Scraggy, and Scrafty are my favorite ones. Victini and Scraggy are just freaking adorable and Scrafty is a monster of a Pokemon. Very bulky and can also hit back very hard.
Krookodile, hands down. I also love Serperior.
Cofagrigus, Sigilyph, or Scrafty.
Leavanny <3 .
To be honest, this was the region that I liked the least amount of Pokemon in. I didn't HATE them, I just didn't have a lot of favourites.
My favourite Pokemon in Black and White were Zorua, Whimsicott, Emolga, Minccino, Litwick and Mienshao. |
Bisharp and.. and.. Yeah. Bisharp only!
Haxorus probably. He's just such a bad boy! But there are others too, like Keledeo, Jellicent, Stoutland, Reshiram, Virizion and many more!
I couldn't pick between Zorua and Serperior. I love both of them equally; Zorua for his cute, mischievous nature and Serperior for his snakey, royal appearance. I just want to squeeze them into fainting~!
My favorite Unova region Pokemon is snivy when its in first form it look very good and cute and when i evolves i look like a Snake King snake or a viper. It look great and it can learn very good moves i like it and its also the first Pokemon i choose in unova region while playing Pokemon Black.
My favorite Pokemon of the fifth generation is only Emboar. Seriously, it's not that I don't like any other Pokemon from that generation, but their design was kind of bad. So, Emboar is my favorite, 'cause of its look...just...it looks so...Badass! And flames around its head makes it even more Badass! Also, its design is nice, it's a walking in two legs-pig (like its pre-evolution)!
I would've said Hydreigon, but Scolipede takes the spot. I really wish Gamefreak beefed Scolipede more, because then it would be a perfect bug type to take to the Eilte Four. It's really fast, but I wish it was stronger. Also, how about the beastly design and cry? It's like Wurmple on steroids.
http://pldh.net/media/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite_animated_front/545.gif |
Victini and Keldeo. They are both awesome!
I am my favorite 5th gen Pokemon. :)
It's A TIE for Klinklang and Beheeyem
Chandelure is my favorite Pokemon in all, so, yeah.
Victini's my favourite! :)
I'd say Leavanny, Bisharp, Gigalith, Virizion, and Beartic to name some of my favorite designs.
Oshawott is hands down my favorite of the Unova Pokemon. When I was living in Salinas California my family would always go to The Old Fisherman's Warf at Monterrey Bay and we would Eat Clam Chowder (Monterrey Style) and see the Otters swim by.
Also seeing the Otters at the Aquarium also reminds me of Oshawott. As well how he uses his Shell as weapon in the Anime was also awesome too. |
I just bought white version a couple of hours ago, so I can't really pick a favorite. But from what I've seen on pokemondb.net, gothita and axew have a good chance of becoming my favorites :]
Krookadile, Scrafty, Serperior and Beartic I'd have to say; especially Scrafty since he's my first lvl 100 unova pokemon
Excadrill, Hydreigon, and Bisharp. I'm not sure why I like them; they just seem meant for me.
My favorite fifth gen Pokemon is Gothorita, surprisingly. Serperior comes in a close second.
My favorite is Servine. I used to say it was Oshawott because he is soo cute but Servine is confident and strong, especially because my Servine is a girl! :)
Solosis, Golurk, or Foongus, and if you asked me to choose... I mean I can't really think of any like hyperboles or metaphors or anything but I wouldn't be able to choose rest assured, that's the gist of what I'm saying.
Tepig. It's the best looking of all the pokemon, except maybe Oshawott, and by far one of the most powerful pokemon (As Emboar).
