Oh, I was under the impression that it was a second, "hidden" ability. That makes more sense.

Hey,

So I am having issues with Pokemon Amie. When I used it the first few times it worked perfectly fine, at least to my knowledge. Now when I try to access it, where the pokemon should be facing me it instead has its back turned towards me (if the pokemon is large, part of it is on the top screen) and the game completely freezes. I cannot do a single thing except shut the 3ds off.

Anyone had this happen to them or know what I could do?

Thanks.

Quinn November 4th, 2013 7:18 PM

you can do it right away.

TrainerNico November 4th, 2013 8:43 PM

Uhm, is a Phanpy with Stealth Rock possible in this gen?

If a Pokémon's got its back turned on you, then it's most likely distracted. You need to do something to grab its attention. Try poking it on its back by tapping the screen. Do it as fast as you can. When you do, it should turn around immediately. (: If it doesn't, then your screen's sensitivity might be a bit low. Try tapping a little harder. If none of this work, then shout at it through the mic. Don't do it too loudly, though. If your game still freezes, then exit the Amie and try re-entering with a different Pokémon.

Here's my situation: Breeding two woopers
and looking for a 31/31/31/31/31/31 Bold Unaware Baby.

The mother: Mom
Bold nature
unaware ability
Holding everstone
31/X/31/31/31/31

The Father: Dad
Bold Nature
Unaware ability
Holding destiny knot
31/31/31/31/X/31

Basically what are the odds that the perfectionist in me gets the perfect offspring I'm after? The mother will actually suit my purposes perfectly, but there's something desirable and lucrative with a complete 31/31/31/31/31/31 spread.

I'm new to IV breeding but I think I'm managing pretty well up to this point.

Just saying, Bold is a terrible nature for Quagsire to have. It weakens the attacking stat that it intends to use most often (its Attack, since its main offensive move is Earthquake). A Relaxed nature is preferable, since Quagsire also usually runs Scald as a secondary STAB.

Anyways, you have a 1/6 chance of getting a flawless baby.

Most People know about the bad egg glitch in the wonder trade.
I haven't gotten the bad egg but I have a question.
you start to wonder trade and you see your getting a egg and you quickly turn off the 3DS(or 2DS).
if you turn off your game while wonder trading. does it damage your game cartridge?
(like... erase your Save File?)

Thanks, I wasn't sure if it would be 1/6 or if it would be like (1/6)*(1/31).

As for his nature, I'm using bold because I plan to forgo EQ for toxic. I'm using a weird gimmicky set to stall out swords dance users, my local friends use a couple of boosting sweepers so an unaware tanky quagsire will be invaluable, and since I'm not using his attack stat, bold seems to make sense.

Where do I see what Safari Zone type I have?

You give your FC to someone who has already finished the game to tell you.

What is the fastest way to gain XP? Right now I think its going through the Pokemon League + Battling you Rival in the last town unlocked but I was wondering if there was actually a faster way to level up

Eruption November 5th, 2013 3:36 PM

I think that's basically the best way to do so, 404. I'm also thinking that cycling in circles in Lumiose while you have pokémon in the daycare could produce some of levels if you left your 3DS on for a few hours while not playing.

I.T. November 5th, 2013 5:51 PM

Is it true that when a PKMN Mega Evolves their stats don't change until the next turn? I've been told so..

yewjrn November 6th, 2013 4:45 AM

Are the Dittos on GTS claiming to have 5-6 perfect IVs real? Not willing to risk a legend to get an average FS Ditto

Eruption November 6th, 2013 5:54 AM

There's no way of telling until you get one of them unfortunately. It's probably better not to risk it. I personally only put descriptions about IVs if they're true, but you know what some people can be like.

If you really are willing to trade a legendary for a good IV Ditto to someone, then you're more likely to not get scammed on here so try the quick trade thread.

I noticed that there are different friend codes for different games. How do I see the different friend codes? Is it simply different when I put the game in from the previous game?

Edit: Never mind, figured it out. For anyone else who didn't know, it's in your pal pad that's in your bag.

Let me a add a note for that. There is no Pal Pad in Gen XI, since the Friendcode is generated by the 3DS system itself and now directly affiliated to it, rather than by the games itself like in Gen IV & V games. ;)

How do you battle your rival in Kiloude?

Virtual Headache November 6th, 2013 11:58 AM

You need to battle in the Battle Maison first and then they'll show up.

How to level up O powers?

I now have all of the O powers, finally got the egg hatching one earlier today. What I was wondering is how do you level them up? All mine are currently lv1 but I've seen people mention using lv3 O powers, if there is a lv3 egg hatching power then I would imagine that should speed egg hatching quite a lot.

Edward Newgate November 6th, 2013 12:49 PM

You'll just have to use the O-Power alot, and it will level up!
I leveled my Hatching O-Power to level 2 yesterday, aiming for level 3 tomorrow :)

Yoshi119 November 6th, 2013 12:52 PM

Friend Problems?

So I have added some new friendcodes of people from here, and while they're registered in my 3DS, they wont appear in my Pokémon X PSS, as people who are playing either X or Y, and as a result, I cannot capture the 3rd Pokémon in their friend safari :( Any ideas why?

Do O powers lv up faster if you give them to other players or if you use them on yourself?
