Cheers |
Chesnaut Item:, Focus band, Or the new armor item or w.e lol
Moves: Sword Dance, Subsitute, Spikey shield,____(A grass attack????? Idk). Max Attack Evs, Max Defence Evs Idk, I just think this set up could be pretty good. |
I was thinking of using chestnaught, But ive already got Avalugg as my Defence pokemon. ty for the suggestion though.
|
He has high attack tho to. He is a pokemon that can attack and actually 1HKO and can take a fair share of damage, so more of a offensive tank. I see you have no Attack sweeper only special sweeper, so try Greninja? It's Hidden Abillity is awesome plus its got decent attack and High speed.
|
Avalugg does have incredible defense, but at the same time teribble special defence.
I think its too risky and I would recommend you replace it. |
Hmm Ive decided to have a Roserade on the team (so It can set up entry hazards like toxic spikes and spikes) I guess I need another good physical attacker.
I think I need a pokemon that resists Dark & Ghost type atacks, any suggestions? |
Remember that Steel no longer resists Dark and Ghosts. Bisharp has the perk of one of those Steels retaining these resistances in the generation shift, though it's a bit risky to use:
-Swords Dance -Sucker Punch -Low Kick/Brick Break -Night Slash/Taunt Nature: Adamant EVs: 196 HP/252 Atk/60 Spe Item: BlackGlasses/Life Orb Ability: Defiant Like Flamebot said, Greninja is an excellent addition to the team because of its ability to change its type with Protean (essentially gaining STAB on all its moves) and lay down Spikes: -Spikes -U-turn -Hydro Pump -Ice Beam Nature: Hasty/Naive EVs: 4 Atk/252 SAtk/252 Spe Item: Focus Sash/Leftovers Ability: Protean To build on to Flamebot's suggestion of Chesnaught, you seem to have forgotten that Chesnaught can learn Spikes by breeding. It's bulky enough to set up a layer or two: -Spikes -Toxic -Synthesis -Seed Bomb/Hammer Arm Nature: Impish EVs: 248 HP/252 Def/8 Spe Item: Leftovers Roserade is viable as a Spiker as well. The Defense buff it got is somewhat helpful. Somewhat: -Spikes -Sleep Powder -Leaf Storm/Giga Drain -Sludge Bomb Nature: Calm/Timid EVs: 252 HP/120 Def/136 SDef (Calm) or 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe Item: Black Sludge/Focus Sash Ability: Natural Cure |
Much thanks for the very detailed responce, I might be using either Bisharp or prehaps Zoroark.
Also, do you think Avalugg is good enough for the metagame? Something about him just makes me think he isnt viable enough. |
.______.
[email protected] 252 HP / 176 Def / 80 Sp.Def Impish Nature Trait: Bulletproof - Leech Seed - Spiky Shield - Hammer Arm - Spikes Please. Uses its movepool better. Spiky Shield is a damaging protect which has great synergy with Leech Seed tanking wise. As for Goodra, there is little point in using it defensively without Drizzle support for its Hydration. So you could look into that. Otherwise Specs it. [email protected] Specs 144 HP / 252 S.Atk / 112 Speed Trait: Gooey Modest Nature - Draco Meteor - Fire Blast - Focus Blast / Hydro Pump - Sludge Bomb Best coverage. [email protected] Trait: Hydration 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 Sp.Def Careful / Calm Nature - Rest - Dragon Pulse / Dragon Tail - Toxic - Infestation Toxic Trapper, abusive of Hydration and Infestation. Drizzle Politoed would actually fit in very well on this team as it not only formes a great defensive core with Goodra but also with Avalugg and Chesnaught too via weakening their fire weaknesses. So you could look into that if you use the Hydration Goodra. Avalugg wants Crunch over Toxic to whack spin blockers with. |
Ty for the ideas, Would'nt specs Hydregeon be better than specs goodra though? Also, does Goodra learn any recovery moves via breeding? (apart from rest)
