Suggestions for my XY poketeam
So, I want to make a good poketeam, but my knowledge of pokemon is very minimal.
My currently line up: Absol : Lonely Sucker Punch Swords Dance Psycho Cut Night Slash __________________________ Sylveon : Modest Dazzling Gleam Moonblast Misty Terrain Draining Kiss __________________________ Greninja : Rash Substitute Waterfall Surf Hydropump ___________________________ Venusuar : Timid Strength Petal Blizzard Solar Beam Synthesis ___________________________ Charizard : Hardy Fire Spin Flamethrower Fly Dragon Rage ___________________________ Blaziken : Sassy Flare Blitz Blaze Kick Sky Uppercut Brave Bird |
its ok for PVE...PVP you need to add IV's Evs and so on so we can tell you if its good...
Personally i dont like using any Ubers on my team, so Blaziken is out. Absol i really dont like either along with greninja, since they both can be swept by scizors an or a modest GrowthSaur |
I never really understood IV and EV's > < My Absol and Sylveon are the only ones I've super trained though.
Sylveon I maxxed SP atk and SP def Absol I maxed Attack and Speed. Both used left over points on HP |
You'll have to do some re-breeding on your Pokemon, I'm afraid.
Absol gained Play Rough as an egg move. Mega Absol can use Magic Bounce to prevent status from screwing it over by bouncing it back at the opponent: -Swords Dance -Sucker Punch -Play Rough -Fire Blast/Baton Pass/Night Slash Nature: Hasty/Jolly EVs: 252 Atk/4 SAtk/252 Spe Item: Absolite/Life Orb Ability: Super Luck or -Sucker Punch -Play Rough -Fire Blast/Ice Beam -Protect Nature: Hasty/Naive EVs: 252 Atk/4 SAtk/252 Spe Item: Absolite/Life Orb Ability: Super Luck Sylveon essentially functions as an Umbreon that can actually fight back. Take advantage of that fact. Also, Misty Terrain is essentially an inferior Safeguard for grounded Pokemon. Moonblast is vastly superior over Dazzling Gleam as an offensive Fairy move; not only is it stronger, it also has a chance of lowering the opponent's Special Attack. Draining Kiss' low base power makes it not worth using, despite the healing side-effect. You have all three moves listed on Sylveon, but you're better off using Moonblast as a whole. Max out HP first before you aim for the defenses; your current spread squanders its overall bulk: -Wish -Protect -Moonblast -Shadow Ball/Toxic Nature: Bold EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef Item: Leftovers Greninja's offensive movepool is rather good. Giving it all-Water moves isn't a good idea: -Hydro Pump/Surf -Dark Pulse -Ice Beam -Grass Knot Nature: Timid EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe Item: Life Orb Greninja's Dream World/Hidden Ability is Protean, so you can take advantage of that ability by having it essentially gain STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus; this means that if a Pokemon uses a move with the same type as its own, that move gets stronger) on all its moves. The above set works with this ability, but here's a different take by supporting the team with Spikes to help wear down grounded opponents: -Spikes -Hydro Pump -Ice Beam -U-turn Nature: Hasty/Naive EVs: 4 Atk/252 SAtk/252 Spe Item: Focus Sash/Leftovers Ability: Protean Venusaur is only good as a Mega (due to its increased defenses and Thick Fat) or a Chlorophyll attacker (this isn't a Sun team, so the latter set won't work here). Both Strength and Petal Blizzard are physical moves and they work off of the lowered Attack that Timid brings. SolarBeam only sees use on Sun teams because the sunlight skips its charge turn: -Sleep Powder -Leech Seed -Energy Ball/Giga Drain -Sludge Bomb Nature: Modest/Timid EVs: 252 HP/252 SAtk/4 SDef or 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe Item: Venusaurite/Black Sludge For Charizard, you have a multitude of options. All three of its forms perform well, given the right support. I'd use regular Charizard or Charizard X on this team because not all of your Pokemon benefit from the Drought that Charizard Y brings: Regular: -Fire Blast -Air Slash -Focus Blast/Hidden Power (Grass) -Flamethrower Nature: Timid EVs: 4 Def/252 SAtk/252 Spe Item: Choice Specs/Choice Scarf Charizard X: -Dragon Dance/Swords Dance -Flare Blitz -Dragon Claw/Outrage -Earthquake/Roost Nature: Jolly/Adamant EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe Item: Charizardite X Sassy is a terrible nature for Blaziken to have. It ruins the point of Speed Boost (by lowering Blaziken's Speed), which makes it harder to revenge kill the longer it stays on the field: -Swords Dance -Flare Blitz -High Jump Kick -Protect/Baton Pass Nature: Adamant/Jolly EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe Item: Leftovers/Life Orb/Blazikenite Ability: Speed Boost |

BUMP : Sorry for the double post
Does anyone know some replacement pokemon to get a better team composition for my X and Y team? I decided to switch out almost all of my pokemon. I decided to keep Sylveon and Absol, currently EV and training them to proper levels and etc. I also added in Tyranitar into my line-up. But I don't know some more pokemon that would go well with my team. I don't really have a set type or style, but anyone know some good pokemon I can add into my team? |

Pokemon that work well with Wish Sylveon are offensive Pokemon that can run through its counters, but lack recovery, like Lucario, Gyarados or Salamence: Lucario: -Swords Dance -Close Combat -Bullet Punch/Extreme Speed -Crunch/Shadow Claw Nature: Adamant/Jolly EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe Item: Life Orb Gyarados: -Dragon Dance -Waterfall -Earthquake/Stone Edge -Substitute/Taunt Nature: Jolly EVs: 88 HP/248 Atk/4 Def/168 Spe Item: Leftovers or -Dragon Dance -Waterfall -Earthquake -Stone Edge Nature: Jolly/Adamant EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe Item: Lum Berry/Life Orb Salamence: -Dragon Dance -Outrage -Earthquake -Fire Blast/Hydro Pump Nature: Naive EVs: 252 Atk/4 SAtk/252 Spe Item: Lum Berry Since both Gyarados and Salamence are weak to Stealth Rock, you need a Rapid Spinner to clear away Stealth Rock on your side of the field. Starmie or Excadrill work: Starmie: -Hydro Pump/Surf -Psyshock/Thunderbolt -Ice Beam -Rapid Spin Nature: Timid EVs: 252 SAtk/4 SDef/252 Spe Item: Leftovers/Life Orb Ability: Natural Cure or -Scald -Rapid Spin -Psyshock/Ice Beam/Thunderbolt -Recover Nature: Timid EVs: 248 HP/32 Def/4 SAtk/224 Spe Item: Leftovers Ability: Natural Cure Excadrill: -Earthquake -Rock Slide -Rapid Spin -Swords Dance/Shadow Claw Nature: Adamant EVs: 252 Atk/4 SDef/252 Spe Item: Life Orb/Leftovers/Air Balloon Ability: Mold Breaker Also note that Absol needs Absolite to be effective now. |
