Planned Wifi Team
So I've been planning to play online for a while and i've made my team before, but I just need help editing it. I've tested this team with friends and I haven't lost yet, but my friends aren't that good so I'm not sure if I'd do remotely well online.
Thundurus-T-Electric Gem-Jolly Volt Absorb Focus Blast Nasty Plot Thunderbolt Dark Pulse Blaziken Life Orb Adamant Speed Boost Sky Uppercut High Jump Kick Shadow Claw Flare Blitz Ferrothorn Rocky Helmet Lax Iron Barbs (Speed IV=0, i now hate breeding with a passion) Power Whip Wood Hammer Gyro Ball Iron Defense Starmie Choice Scarf Timid Natural Cure Thunderbolt Psychic Ice Beam Hydro Pump Haxourus Dragon Gem Impish Mold Breaker Outrage Dragon Dance Dragon Claw Superpower Mamoswine Ice Gem Adamant Snow Cloak Icicle Crash Earthquake Superpower Ice Shard How do you think this team would hold up online and how are the moves on my Pokemon? |
I'm assuming Gen V, as some Pokemon aren't available in X/Y. I'm afraid you'll need to re-breed some of your Pokemon, as painful as it sounds. EVs would totally be appreciated too.
Jolly is a terrible nature for Therian Thundurus. Timid is the superior nature in every case: -Nasty Plot -Thunderbolt -Hidden Power (Ice) -Focus Blast/Grass Knot/Substitute/Agility Nature: Timid/Modest EVs: 4 Def/252 SAtk/252 Spe (Timid) or 128 HP/252 SAtk/128 Spe (Modest) Item: Life Orb or -Agility -Thunderbolt -Hidden Power (Ice) -Grass Knot/Focus Blast Nature: Modest EVs: 4 Def/252 SAtk/252 Spe Item: Life Orb or -Thunderbolt -Hidden Power (Ice) -U-turn -Superpower/Grass Knot Nature: Naive EVs: 4 Atk/252 SAtk/252 Spe Item: Expert Belt or -Thunderbolt -Hidden Power (Ice/Flying) -Focus Blast -U-turn/Volt Switch Nature: Naive/Timid EVs: 4 Atk/252 SAtk/252 Spe Item: Choice Scarf Blaziken can get away with just Flare Blitz and Hi Jump Kick, as they're stupidly powerful and can dent even resists: -Swords Dance -Flare Blitz -Hi Jump Kick -Protect Nature: Adamant EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe Item: Leftovers/Life Orb Ability: Speed Boost Iron Defense isn't worth using on Ferrothorn because it's massive setup bait. An entry hazard must be used if it wants to make use of its support move pool. No it can't learn Wood Hammer: -Spikes/Stealth Rock -Leech Seed/Stealth Rock -Power Whip/Protect -Gyro Ball/Thunder Wave Nature: Relaxed EVs: 252 HP/48 Def/208 SDef Item: Leftovers Starmie should use Trick over Psychic to cripple walls. If a wall comes in and Starmie hasn't used a move yet, you can just Trick the Choice Scarf away. Impish is a waste of Haxorus' offensive capabilities. It's not the defensive kind of Pokemon, as it's somewhat frail: -Dragon Dance -Outrage -Earthquake -Low Kick/Taunt Nature: Jolly/Adamant EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe Item: Lum Berry/Yache Berry Ability: Mold Breaker Thick Fat is still Mamoswine's preferred ability. |
If this is Gen. 5, it's also worth noting that five out of six Pokemon you have are in the OU tier. The only one that isn't is Blaziken, as he is banned from OU for some reason. Infernape is a very similar alternative if you want a Pokemon with a similar typing, or you could choose Sharpedo, who has a different typing, but still has the wonderful Speed Boost ability.
