Female Pokemon
I've been doing some reading and would like a little clarification as to the benefit of catching female pokemon. From what I've gathered there really isn't anything aside from passing down pokeballs that separates females from males when breeding. Is this more or less correct or am i missing something?
Is there any reason for soft resetting for female starters? |
Pokemon are always the breed of their mother. That's why many Pokemon that are supposed to be rarer are predominantly male, to make breeding them harder.
I don't know if there's any other advantages besides that. The Destiny Knot and Everstone tricks worth for both Mother and Father Pokemon. I think. |
That's what i gathered. Basically having a female removes the randomness from breeding. Aside from that having a female Riolu insures the use of a luxury ball/friend ball.

Weelll, there you go. Batty seems to have answered your question already. (: If you'd like to ask any more questions in the future, though, please head over here; don't create separate threads about them.
