Advice on Team
1 Attachment(s)
Hello everyone,
I am new to battling in Pokemon, i was always someone that just goes through the game, and than stops playing. This time around, i want to take it a bit further and start battling others. I'm looking for advice on my current team. They all have 5 IV's maxed. Attachment 70178 |
It's better if you just typed out the team, IMO, rather than using an attachment, since it may be painful clicking in and out of the pic as other people rate.
Life Orb is counterproductive with Dragonite's Multiscale, since one round of LO recoil if Dragonite attacks first at full health will render Multiscale useless. Also, consider this: -Dragon Dance -Dragon Claw/Outrage -Thunder Punch/Fire Punch -Earthquake/Roost Nature: Adamant/Jolly EVs: 252 Atk/4 SDef/252 Spe Item: Leftovers/Lum Berry/Weakness Policy Ability: Multiscale It's not worth using two offensive moves on Blissey either. Its Special Attack isn't strong enough to make use of two high-powered offensive moves: -Aromatherapy -Seismic Toss/Flamethrower -Softboiled -Toxic Nature: Calm EVs: 4 HP/252 Def/252 SDef Item: Leftovers Ability: Natural Cure All of Gardevoir's moves are 100% accurate, so there's no reason for it to use Wide Lens. Speaking of Wide Lens, it's not worth using: -Calm Mind -Moonblast -Focus Blast -Shadow Ball/Thunderbolt Nature: Timid EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe Item: Life Orb Ability: Trace or -Wish -Protect -Will-o-Wisp -Moonblast/Psychic Nature: Calm EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 SDef Item: Leftovers Ability: Trace LO + 4 attacks Scizor is terrible. Not only is Scizor slow, it wears itself down more easily with Life Orb, hazard and attack damage. Choice Band is the superior item and the only time for it to use Life Orb is for offensive trapping, Swords Dance and/or when it's using Roost: -U-turn -Bullet Punch -Brick Break -Pursuit/Quick Attack Nature: Adamant EVs: 248 HP/252 Atk/8 SDef Item: Choice Band Ability: Technician or -Swords Dance -Bullet Punch -X-Scissor -Brick Break Nature: Adamant EVs: 252 Atk/4 SDef/252 Spe Item: Life Orb Ability: Technician or -U-turn -Bullet Punch/Iron Head -Brick Break -Pursuit Nature: Jolly EVs: 252 Atk/4 SDef/252 Spe Item: Choice Scarf Ability: Technician or -U-turn -Bullet Punch -Pursuit -Roost/Brick Break Nature: Adamant EVs: 248 HP/112 Atk/148 SDef Item: Life Orb/Assault Vest Ability: Technician Gengar's Mega Stone is the Gengarite. Don't forget that. While Dazzling Gleam provides coverage against Dragons, Darks and Fightings, it may not be worth using until [email protected] and Terrakion are available: -Shadow Ball -Sludge Bomb -Focus Blast -Thunderbolt/Hidden Power (Fire)/Protect Nature: Timid EVs: 4 Def/252 SAtk/252 Spe Item: Gengarite I have issues with Aegislash's EV spread. Splitting the last half of its EVs into its defenses is a terrible idea and it squanders its overall bulk. The last half should go into its HP with the remaining 4 in either defensive stat or Speed. Leftovers is still the superior item, since Shell Bell is inferior to Lefties. |
Hey PlatinumDude,
I'll remember that for future reference, sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for all the advice, seems I still have a lot to learn, many great suggestions, and things I must take into consideration. |
