Hello fellow dragon enthusiasts! I'd love to join this club, so here's my application.
Favorite Dragon type/Dragon Pokemon: Latias. I couldn't help but fall in love with her in Pokemon Heroes. So cute. Latios was also great. Such a sad ending though. ;-; Reason for joining club: Dragons. 'Nuff said. 1. What made you love Dragon Pokemon? I love dragons in general. To me, they exhibit a perfect blend of power and grace. 2. Your first Dragon Pokemon was …. and why? Um... Altaria? Maybe? I lost many of my original pokemon a long time ago when my Emerald game was stolen. 3. Your favorite Dragon type user? Lance. He's the champion in the games, an undercover agent in the anime, and can hear the thoughts of and heal his pokemon in the manga. He's pretty awesome. 4. Your favorite Dragon type move? Although I usually use Dragon Pulse, I'd have to say that Dragon Tail is my favorite move. I like how it forces the pokemon to switch out or end the battle. I really need to teach more of my pokemon this move. 5. Which generation had the best Dragon type Pokemon? Hoenn, because of all it's amazing dragon legendaries and Flygon, but Kalos is a close second with Noivern, Goodra, and Charizard X. 6. Woud you like Dragon type starters? If yes, which one would you start with? Yes... and no. It would be awesome to start off with a dragon pokemon, however, I feel like the dragon-type should be avoided when designing starters. One of the unique things about the dragon-type that I love is that they are resistant against the starter types. They are the ultimate test against the pokemon you start your journey with. |

Mega Charizard X! Questions to consider: Does this satisfy the wants of people wanting Charizard to be Dragon-type? Have you ever used Mega Charizard X? Do you like the major design overhaul of Mega Charizard X compared to the original appearance? I'm a big fan of Mega Charizard X, it's got a great design and a great ability that makes it very useful. I never really minded it not being a Dragon-type, so this is a good compromise to make it a true Dragon for me. |
Mega Charizard X
Does this satisfy the wants of people wanting Charizard to be Dragon-type? I believe it does, especially since its one of Charizard's most powerful forms. In fact I think the sole reason Gamefreak included it with Charizard's other mega evolution is because so many people since Generation 1 had thought and wanted Charizard to be part Dragon type, and now that it is it's awesomely cool to look at and great to use Have you ever used Mega Charizard X? I myself have never used it, but I've seen battles where people have, and dang, this Pokemon sure can be OP if you don't counter it right Do you like the major design overhaul of Mega Charizard X compared to the original appearance? Yes, it looks so much better than the original Charizard and Charizard Y mega evolution. I am being serious. The sheer awesomeness of the cool texture of its black streamline design is only outdone by the blue flames smoking out of its mouth. It's so great to look at that I think there should be an alternate evolution of Charizard that has a similar design that is black and corresponds with mega Charizard X. :) |
Does this satisfy the wants of people wanting Charizard to be Dragon-type?
Idk about others, but it does for me. Have you ever used Mega Charizard X? I have tried using it before, but the teams I make with it in them are always ass so I've haven't used it much =/ Do you like the major design overhaul of Mega Charizard X compared to the original appearance? Yes, although I wish that in-game the 3D model's flames looked better (but none of the flames on the Pokemon in 6th Gen look amazing) and it wasn't floating in the air like it does. Either make it stand on the ground or give it a better flying animation. Looks great in fanart and the anime though. |
Have you ever used Mega Charizard X?
I like to use Charizard X on my mono-dragon-type team. His fire-type helps to defend him from ice and fairy attacks, and reduces his normally 4X weakness of rock down to 2X and water from 2X to 1X. Having a pokemon that can change it's typing through Mega Evolution is fun to play around with. Do you like the major design overhaul of Mega Charizard X compared to the original appearance? The only thing I have against Charizard X for design is that he doesn't fit in with the other Kanto starter megas. Charizard Y fits much better into that group for design. However I think that Charizard X looks far nicer in design with it's new color scheme. The flames pouring out of it's mouth are also pretty cool. |

Do you want a nickname? If yes then your chosen nickname: does not matter, if you would like to refer to me by a nickname, then by all means go for it :) Favorite Dragon type/Dragon Pokemon: Salamence and Garchomp! Reason for joining club: I very rarely come across anyone who favors Dragon Pokemon, especially after the introduction of Fairies, so it's great to find a club with people who share the same interest in types. What made you love Dragon Pokemon? Their offensive capabilities. Dragons take time to raise, and because of that not everyone has the patience to stick with them. There is nothing better that taking the time to properly level a Dragon Pokemon, then having it evolve into a wrecking machine capable of sweeping or putting a huge dent in opposing teams. |
Dragon Type Pokemon of The Week http://i.imgur.com/OOQ48Fh.png Altaria, The Humming Pokémon. If it bonds with a person, it will gently envelop the friend with its soft wings, then hum. On sunny days, it flies freely through the sky and blends into the clouds. It sings in a beautiful soprano. It flies gracefully through the sky. Its melodic humming makes you feel like you're in a dream. It looks like a fluffy cloud when it is in flight. It hums with its soprano voice. Possibly Questions: Have you ever used Altaria on your team, in-game or competitive? What do you think of Flygon's design? What do you think of its Mega Evoltuion and the typing change to dragon and fairy? Whats your overall opinion on Altaria before its new mega evolution? Was it appealing to you? Other thoughts? News! Possible Questions:
Have you ever used Altaria on your team, in-game or competitive? A long time ago in Black and White 2 I used it. But other than that, never. What do you think of Flygon's design? Well, Flygon is nice and all, but don't you mean Altaria's design?? ;) What do you think of its Mega Evoltuion and the typing change to dragon and fairy? It's great. I love that it gets even more extravagant design wise once mega evolved. Plus, Dragon and Fairy is a nice combination and no other Pokemon known currently have this combination of typing. Whats your overall opinion on Altaria before its new mega evolution? Was it appealing to you? Altaria was sort of appealing to me. I like how it's like a bird, but it also has some puffy clouds on its chest. I never understood why it was part Dragon type though, to be quite honest. There's nothing for me in its appearance that really defines it as so. Other thoughts? Nope. Other than that I just completed the tournaments in Pokemon Black 2's PWT and must say that when Winona uses Altaria she almost always uses a dumb Sing and Dream Eater combination, which I find quite stupid (and annoying) seeing as it's a dragon and flying type, not a psychic type. :/ |

I love the aforementioned Dragon-type Pokémon, that's why it's natural for me to join this club. :) Answer to any one of the current topics: Have you ever used Altaria on your team, in-game or competitive? I have used it on my one of my Sapphire reruns. What do you think of Altaria's design? Altaria's actually cute. A simple yet creative design. What do you think of its Mega Evoltuion and the typing change to dragon and fairy? It s type change along its Ability boosted its popularity and status on the competitive tier. It feels like Altaria finally sees the light after sinking in the low tiers for over 10 years! Whats your overall opinion on Altaria before its new mega evolution? Was it appealing to you? Cute, but not a good battler. She was only good in the Contest with the correct moveset. Altaria was only appealing with her design and non-battle properties. Other thoughts? While I love her Mega Evolution's Ability, stat and typing. I'm not fond of Altaria's design, I believe it can be better than that. |
Dragon Type Pokemon of The Week http://i.imgur.com/myOGC9H.jpg Land Shark Pokémon. It nests in small, horizontal holes in caves warmed by geothermal heat. Foes who get too close can expect to be pounced on and bitten. When hunting it pounces on prey that stray too close. When attackin it uses its huge mouth to inflict large damage. While its attacks are powerful, it hurts itself out of clumsiness, too. Possibly Questions: Have you ever found and caught a Gible In-Game? What do you think of Gible's design? Whats your opinion on its shiny form? Is it recognizable? Other thoughts? Trying something new out to use all of the pokemon in every line so that it may last longer! Spoiler:

Have you ever found and caught a Gible In-Game?
I haven't played any of the DPPt games, so no. But if you count ROM hacks, I have caught a Gible at the desert route in Flora Sky. If I remember correctly it was near the Hippowdon Temple. What do you think of Gible's design? The coolest looking pre-evolved Dragon in my opinion, mainly because of the fin and torpedo-like things on its head. I mean come on, it's a shark that lives on land! What's not to like about Gible? Whats your opinion on its shiny form? Is it recognizable? Unlike Gabite and Garchomp, it's very easy to tell Gible's shiny form and regular forms apart. The shiny form takes on a more vivid shade of blue; the most noticeable difference is the color of it's lower jaw, which is yellow/beige instead of red-orange. My opinion on shiny Gible is the same as mentioned in the above question: the best looking out of all the pre-evolved Dragons. Other thoughts? - press B when it tries to evolve - let it learn Dragon Rush at level 37 - raise until level 100 - bask in the sheer awesomeness of a level 100 Dragon Rush wielding Gible |
Gible
Have you ever found and caught a Gible In-Game? Nope, even though I started Pokemon with Diamond. What do you think of Gible's design? It's awesome! A shark that lives on land! It can't get any better than that :') Whats your opinion on its shiny form? Is it recognizable? Yes, its shiny form is very recognizable. As DraconianWing said above, it's the most recognizable shiny form in its evolution line. :) Other thoughts? JUST LOOK AT THAT CUTE WITTLE GIBLE. SO CUTE YOU JUST GOTTA HUG IT. -OW, I GOT BIT! :( |
Have you ever found and caught a Gible In-Game?
I caught one for my Pokédex in my very first Gen IV game, my Japanese Pearl version. What do you think of Gible's design? I love it, it's cute while creative! It also looks goofy! Whats your opinion on its shiny form? Is it recognizable? It is and I like it. I've been hearing dislikes on its evolutionary relatives' shiny form though, due to being hard to recognize. Other thoughts? Thanks to Game Freak, I can finally access Gible with ease my first Platinum play. Because of that I could finally include a Gible in my in-game team. It's really worth raising! |

Dragon Type Pokemon of The Week http://i.imgur.com/rg746px.jpg?1 Shelgon, the Endurance Pokémon. Its armored body makes moves bounce off however being that tough makes shelgon quite slow and sluggish. Within its rugged shell, its cells have begun changing. When it evolves the shell begins peeling off. Possible Questions: Have you ever used a Shelgon In-Game? If no why? Does Shelgon seem to be the evolution of Bagon in your eyes and the prevolution of Salamence? What do you think of Shelgon's design? Other thoughts? |
Shelgon
Have you ever used a Shelgon In-Game? If no why? No, I haven't. Just never caught a Bagon in the first place so that I could evolve it into a Shelgon. Does Shelgon seem to be the evolution of Bagon in your eyes and the prevolution of Salamence? I actually feel like Shelgon should be the basic form, evolve into Bagon, who evolves into Salamence. It just seems like it should be that way to me since Shelgon is the slowest of the three. What do you think of Shelgon's design? It's nice. I like how it's a dark, black creature inside a white shell with four legs. Other thoughts? Nope, other than I first experienced the Hoenn region with OR/AS, so that's why I haven't obtained a Shelgon yet. |
Have you ever used a Shelgon In-Game? If no why? Yes. As you can tell from my avatar and sig, the Bagon line is the Dragon line I've used the most throughout the series. I every single playthrough of RSE, it has been a long-standing tradition of mine to immediately go to Meteor Falls after obtaining the 8th badge and hunting for a Bagon, so it would always go through a stage of being good ol' Shelgon before preparing to evolve into Salamence. Said Salamence would then go on to play a vital role in the run through Victory Road and the Pokemon League challenge. Does Shelgon seem to be the evolution of Bagon in your eyes and the prevolution of Salamence? Of course. The concept of Bagon's growth into Salamence is similar to the life cycle of butterflies; begin as a small, vulnerable caterpillar, and then go through the cocoon stage before sprouting wings and learning to fly. Shelgon represents that cocoon stage in the cycle before evolving into the "butterfly." What do you think of Shelgon's design? I like the idea behind it. It's basically an "armor" covering a soon-to-be azure dragon, patiently awaiting the time to evolve. Shelgon's design is a bit dull compared to Bagon and Salamence, but I think it was meant to be that way due to the amount of genetic changes it is undergoing. Other thoughts? My favorite Dragon Pokemon line. Enough said. |
Have you ever used a Shelgon In-Game? If no why?
I did have one for awhile until it evolved. Does Shelgon seem to be the evolution of Bagon in your eyes and the prevolution of Salamence? I think he has a design unique to his own. I mean, if you never saw Shelgon before, and only saw its other stages, you probably wouldn't expect the middle stage to look like some kind of volleyball with four legs. What do you think of Shelgon's design? I like how Shelgon looks like a cocoon. It fits in well with Bagon's dream on being able to fly and it having to go through a metamorphosis to do so. I sometimes wonder if Shelgon knows that he's growing wings or if he is upset that it now seems that he will never be able to fly with his new bulky form. {XD} |
I've used a Shelgon in one of my Sapphire and Black 2 run, they both evolved from my Bagon! It does look like from its evolutionary relatives! Shelgon's going through a process called metamorphosis akin to the likes of Cascoon, Kakuna. After that stage it gains a pair of magnificent blood red wings! The design is rather simple yet cute, it reminded me of the mangosteen fruit's flesh! {XD} Among all Dragon-type psuedo-legends, so far the Bagon line is the only and first to have a metamorphosis process-stage, I actually like it and found it unique. I believe this Pokémon can be bulky, particularly with Eviolite attached.
|
Have you ever used a Shelgon In-Game? If no why?
I've used Salamence, so I've had Shelgon :P Does Shelgon seem to be the evolution of Bagon in your eyes and the prevolution of Salamence? It is definitely different, but I see what they were going for and it's cool because of how unique it is. What do you think of Shelgon's design? It looks like a dragon in a cocoon, which I presume is what they were kind of going for, so I think it works. Other thoughts? I thought this was quite a clever way to get Bagon to Salamence without it just getting gradually bigger, so I have to say it's pretty cool. |
So wait Shelgon's supposed to be like a cocoon?
Well at least that's something, every time I'd look at it I'd be like what is this thing supposed to be |

Dragon Type Pokemon of The Week http://orig08.deviantart.net/b9f1/f/2008/197/e/1/dragonair__by_effier_sxy.png Dragonair, The Dragon Pokémon, A mystical Pokémon that exudes a gentle aura. It is said to have the ability to change the weather by discharging energy from the crystals on its neck and tail. It is said to live in seas and lakes. Possible Questions: Have you ever used a Dragonair In-Game? If no why? Would you say Dragonair is fitting for being the dragon pokemon or should it be the serpent pokemon? What do you think of Dragonair's design? Do you like its original design better or its shiny pink form? Other thoughts? Nice responses for last week by the way Shelgon has always been a mystery to me but i believe its kinda a move able cocoon perhaps? Made to change him while he can still battle? Ill admit its a very good idea on GFs part to make a bridge from such a small poke such as bagon to go to Salamence. |
Have you ever used a Dragonair In-Game? If no why?
I have a Dragonair on my current team right now. Finally raised it to lv.100 the other day, so it's staying a Dragonair. :) I also used one back in Soul Silver as well. Would you say Dragonair is fitting for being the dragon pokemon or should it be the serpent pokemon? Dragonair's design does appear at first to be serpentine, but I think I read somewhere that the Dragonite evolution line was based on European dragons, many of which looked like snakes or worms before growing to their full size. So based on that, the dragon pokemon makes sense. What do you think of Dragonair's design? I've loved Dragonair's design ever since I first saw it on the anime almost a decade ago. I love its sleek and graceful design, the shiny blue orbs on its neck and tail, and the elegant feathery ears. Do you like its original design better or its shiny pink form? I think I like the original color better, due to the fact that Dragonair is found in lakes and streams. Other thoughts? One of my favorite things about Dragonair is how it can control the weather. My oldest memory of this pokemon was from (I think) Great Bowls of Fire when it was controlling the rainstorm. It was partly because of this ability that Dragonair became one of my favorite Pokemon at the time, alongside Ninetales and Vaporeon. |
Have you ever used a Dragonair In-Game? If no why?
Yes. Dragonair/Dragonite is my alternative to the Salamence line when playing through the Kanto/Johto games. It's a lot slower compared to the latter, but makes up for it with more defensive bulk. Would you say Dragonair is fitting for being the dragon pokemon or should it be the serpent pokemon? I've never really put any thought into this until this question. Dragon Pokemon come in various different forms and structuring, so Dragonair to me was and will always be fitting for being referred to as one of the "Dragon Pokemon" species. A dragon is still a dragon, even without legs or wings. What do you think of Dragonair's design? It's a very nice shade of azure, which goes well with the white underbelly. The simplicity of the design is I think what makes it great; it's serpentine features are topped off with wing-like ears, which is pretty cool! Do you like its original design better or its shiny pink form? Original. It is simply a preference, so there isn't really anything I could explain with this answer; not saying that the shiny form looks bad though. Other thoughts? In my opinion, Dragonair aesthetically looks better than Dragonite. However I always prioritize stats over looks for some reason, so mine ends up evolving anyway :P |
Have you ever used a Dragonair In-Game? If no why?
I've used a Dragonair on my very first FireRed gameplay. Would you say Dragonair is fitting for being the dragon pokemon or should it be the serpent pokemon? Dragon comes in many forms, serpentine is one of those many forms. So it is actually fitting for both kinds. What do you think of Dragonair's design? It's simple and classic. The orbs around its body as well as the wings on its head are simply beautiful. In a sense, it's even better looking than its evolution. Do you like its original design better or its shiny pink form? Blue is perfect as it is; I'm glad the blue variant one is the 'normal' Dragonair. Other thoughts? Dragonair was one of those Pokémon that made me lost for words upon seeing it, as it looked so majestic when I first saw it in the Safari episode. |
Have you ever used a Dragonair In-Game? If no why?
Nope, never had a Dratini to begin with. XD... Would you say Dragonair is fitting for being the dragon pokemon or should it be the serpent pokemon? IMO it looks more like a serpent Pokemon than a Dragon. If you notice it, most of the dragon Pokemon that exist have arms and legs, while this Pokemon to me, looks like it would be better suited as a Water type or maybe even a Grass type What do you think of Dragonair's design? It's nice. I like how majestic and tall it looks. :) Do you like its original design better or its shiny pink form? I enjoy its Shiny form a lot better, but only because it's so distinct from the original. Other thoughts? Nope, other than how come we skipped Dratini and went straight for Dragonair?? I could understand Dragonite, but Dragonair sounds like it's out of nowhere.... lol |
Have you ever used a Dragonair In-Game? If no why?
I've used Dragonite, so I've had Dragonair long enough for it to evolve into that (so yes :P ) Would you say Dragonair is fitting for being the dragon pokemon or should it be the serpent pokemon? A snake-like dragon isn't so Farfetch'd, so I think it fits. What do you think of Dragonair's design? Simple, yet elegant, and better than Dragonite's I think, so I like it. Do you like its original design better or its shiny pink form? I definitely have a soft spot for the pink one. Other thoughts? Dragonair is one of those few Pokémon that I like the design of the pre-evolution better than it's final form (not counting the Sinnoh evolutions such as Magnezone, Magmortar, etc.) and it's a lot more graceful too, so I overall like it quite a bit. |

Favorite Dragon type/Dragon Pokemon: In order Garchomp, Altaria, M-Charizard X and to some but not great extent, Haxorus. Reason for joining club: Dragon type Pokemon have always been classed as some of the most powerful Pokemon ever! Heck, all but two pseudo-legendaries are Dragon type! I've always admired dragons, even outside of Pokemon and so I naturally love the dragon type! Answer to any one of the current topics: Your first Dragon Pokemon was …. and why? My first Dragon type was Altaria in my Ruby game. Ruby was the second Pokemon game I ever played and until Gen 3, the only dragon type available without trading was Dragonite and I didn't know that since back then, I was just realising that Pokemon isn't equal to Pikachu (>~<) so I skipped out. I ended up using an Altaria over Salamence because I found it to be cooler looking (oddly enough) with a sense of grace over brutality! Thanks for reading, have an awesome day! |
Zygarde Formes
What are your thoughts on the Zygarde forms? (Zygarde Core, Zygarde 10%, Zygarde 50%, Zygarde Perfect.) I honestly wasn't expecting Gamefreak to take the formes route with Zygarde. I seriously thought it was going to get a mega evolution, so I'm not really sure what I think.... I haven't read much into it either yet.... How do you think Zygarde will change its forms? I honestly have no idea how it will change its formes. As said before, I haven't read much into it, and haven't been keeping up with Serebii lately, so idk What do you think each forms Total Base Stat will be? Will Zygarde Perfect have 780 like Mega Rayquaza and Mega Mewtwo? I think the stats will increase gradually over time through the formes until it has 800 base stat total for Perfect Zygarde, the new highest base stat in all of Pokemon What role does Zygarde have? Do you think each form will have a separate role? Zygarde's role is to keep the ecosystem in check in Pokemon.... That being said, with the events Lysandre of Team Flare caused, I still believe that it will make an appearance with its formes in Pokemon Z, a new Pokemon main game... I don't think nor like the idea of the 6th generation being over just yet.... What are your thoughts on Zygarde cell and it not being a form of Zygarde? I honestly didn't know it wasn't a forme. I thought they all were... So I'm not sure.... |
What are your thoughts on the Zygarde forms? (Zygarde Core, Zygarde 10%, Zygarde 50%, Zygarde Perfect.)
I think the new Zygarde forms make Zygarde stand out from all the other legendaries. They seem to have gone and attempted to portray Zygarde as a "cluster" of smaller Pokemon that are controlled by a Core, giving a chance for some interesting lore. Zygarde perfect is the one that caught my attention the most; I imagine that it would have some gargantuan stats and ridiculous height and weight entries in the Pokedex. How do you think Zygarde will change its forms? Maybe through a fusion device like the DNA Splicer for the Tao Trio, but elevated to another level. The perfect form has patches of red on one wing/arm/whatever and blue on the other, which might imply a connection of some sort to Xerneas and Yveltal. What do you think each forms Total Base Stat will be? Will Zygarde Perfect have 780 like Mega Rayquaza and Mega Mewtwo? Core: 300-400 10%: around 500 50%: isn't this the "regular" Zygarde? 600 Perfect: 780. With a design that radical, I wouldn't be surprised if it does get the 780 BST What role does Zygarde have? Do you think each form will have a separate role? As the Order Pokemon, Zygarde's duty is to keep things in balance. It's Pokedex entry states that it unleashes its full power when an ecosystem is disrupted (come to think of it, could this be how it changes forms?). I think Core Zygarde and Cell Zygarde will be responsible for forming the physical structure of the Pokemon itself. What are your thoughts on Zygarde cell and it not being a form of Zygarde? Not really surprised, since it is known as the "cell". In real life, cells combine together to form an organism, and are not meant to be alternate forms by themselves. Zygarde cell might have a role that is similar to that, with the core acting as the "brain." |
What are your thoughts on the Zygarde forms? (Zygarde Core, Zygarde 10%, Zygarde 50%, Zygarde Perfect.)
I like them seperately, but they're all really different that it's hard to believe they're the same pokemon? My fave is still Zygarde 50 but Zygarde 10 looks cool too! How do you think Zygarde will change its forms? I have this theory that Zygarde 50 becomes perfect when it absorbs Xerneas and Yvetal :> What role does Zygarde have? Do you think each form will have a separate role? Maybe a rayquaza like role? Like it'll come in to stop the other two from making a mess? I don't know how to answer the others sorry ^^ |
What are your thoughts on the Zygarde forms? (Zygarde Core, Zygarde 10%, Zygarde 50%, Zygarde Perfect.)
Very...odd, but may when we see them in action they'll be cool. How do you think Zygarde will change its forms? Probably some sort of gathering of cells I assume, not sure how to describe what I'm envisioning haha. What do you think each forms Total Base Stat will be? Will Zygarde Perfect have 780 like Mega Rayquaza and Mega Mewtwo? I think it will, it looks pretty terrifying and I think it would fit to have very high stats. What role does Zygarde have? Do you think each form will have a separate role? Each one seems to be using only enough cells to defeat its opponents, so I think they will be separate. What are your thoughts on Zygarde cell and it not being a form of Zygarde? It's just one cell, so it does need to combine with others to become something. |

Do you think there is a connection between Zygarde and Team Flare? Why or Why not?
Considering Lysandre wants to create a "beautiful world," I think there will be a connection revealed in Pokémon Z. What would be the connection between Zygarde and Xerneas and Yveltal? Do they all keep balance in there own way? Do you think Zygarde keeps the other two under control? Based on the red and blue pattern on the sides of the Complete Forme, I'm going to guess that Zygarde is the head of the trio, but it's unclear exactly what that means. Do you think Rayquaza and Zygarde are related in someway? Why? I'm not sure I see it, but someone might be able to point something out I don't see. Do you think the Anistar Sundial, Mega Evolutions and Zygarde are related? Why? Same as above for this too. |

Do you want a nickname? If yes then your chosen nickname: Seeker Favorite Dragon type/Dragon Pokemon: A toss up between Rayquaza and Dragonite Reason for joining club: Love pokemon and lore, love dragons and their powers, loved dragonite from gen 2 and fell in love with rayquaza in emerald, Also interested in what my fellow dragon lovers are saying and if they love modding. Answer to any one of the current topics found on the first post: 1. What made you love Dragon pokemon? Their legacy in many lore, a symbol for mystery and unknown power and destruction. 2. Your first Dragon pokemon....? My first dragon pokemon was Dratini which evolved into my dragonite of destruction, I only started using dragons ever since I played modded roms back when I played gen 1 and 2 on the original gbc I could never catch/train one. 3. Your favorite Dragon type user? Does Cynthia count? Currently my favourite but Lance in HGSS is also equal in my favoritism. 4. Your favorite Dragon type move? Draco Meteor because space and dragons (i love both, yes I also love my sheer cold but that's not dragon so yeah) 5. Which generation had best Dragon type pokemon? I haven't played gen 6 but I would have to say gen 3/4 since that was the gen where my favourites were in my team. 6. Would you like Dragon type starters? If only the dratini that the dragon den gives in HGSS was my starter normally, I would use it, so to answer the question yes, and I would choose Dratini |
What are your thoughts on the Zygarde forms? (Zygarde Core, Zygarde 10%, Zygarde 50%, Zygarde Perfect.)
Rather intriguing. It's the first time where it seems less like a form change and more like an evolutionary line to be honest... How do you think Zygarde will change its forms? From the design of the Perfect form, I'd say it'd merge with Xerneas and Yvetal but I sort of don't want that to happen because then it's be barely different from Kyurem Black/White :s What do you think each forms Total Base Stat will be? Will Zygarde Perfect have 780 like Mega Rayquaza and Mega Mewtwo? I would think so. The way they're hyping the Zygarde, I'd be disappointed if it didn't have 780 BST >~< What role does Zygarde have? Do you think each form will have a separate role? I think I agree with Zanark on this one in saying that it would have a role similar to Rayquaza since Xerneas and Yvetal are polar opposites and that's bound to inflict conflict. What are your thoughts on Zygarde cell and it not being a form of Zygarde? I agree with Wiicked on this one. It's only a cell and it would need to combine with other cells to form Zygarde. That being said, it raises an interesting question. Will there be tons of Zygarde Cells? :o Do you think there is a connection between Zygarde and Team Flare? Why or Why not? Definitely! Zygarde would represent balance and maybe Lysandre would realise that a beautiful world is born out of balance and therefore he might target Zygarde. That is, assuming Lysandre returs ;D What would be the connection between Zygarde and Xerneas and Yveltal? Do they all keep balance in there own way? Do you think Zygarde keeps the other two under control? Like a previous answer states, I think Zygarde would merge with the other two to form Perfect Zygarde and therefore I'd say it does act as an internal trio master. Do you think Rayquaza and Zygarde are related in someway? Why? I can't think of any way the two would be connected other than having similar roles. They're in two vastly different regions and legendaries have never left their respective regions in the games...yet! Do you think the Anistar Sundial, Mega Evolutions and Zygarde are related? Why? I would think so! Since Mega Evolutions were said to be borne out of the energy of the Xerneas and Yvetal (or maybe I forgot >~<) I'd expect Zygarde to have a foot in there somewhere! It'd be cool though :D |
What would be the connection between Zygarde and Xerneas and Yveltal? Do they all keep balance in there own way? Do you think Zygarde keeps the other two under control?
I think it's the latter. I can see Yvetal for sure messing up the ecosystem, and fighting with Xerneas could cause a great imbalance too. Plus it's 100% forme is stronger than them both so~ Do you think Rayquaza and Zygarde are related in someway? Why? They're both snakey dragon legendaries They could be in their duties I think! And they're abilities seem to mirror each other in that Rayquaza's negates the weather effects that Groudon/Kyogre make and Zygarde's cancel's out the auras. |
What are your thoughts on the Zygarde forms? (Zygarde Core, Zygarde 10%, Zygarde 50%, Zygarde Perfect.)
I like them all! I'm particularly fond of the Perfect form and I'm curious on the Canis Form. How do you think Zygarde will change its forms? I think it will involved a new mechanic that is something is similar to item collecting. What do you think each forms Total Base Stat will be? Will Zygarde Perfect have 780 like Mega Rayquaza and Mega Mewtwo? I believe Zygarde Cell will have no stat. While Zygarde Core's stats might be close or similar to those basic stages of starters or even baby stages like Togepi. The Perfect form might be at least 780 or even as high as 1000 BST, hence the form name. What role does Zygarde have? Do you think each form will have a separate role? It has been stated explicitly that Zygarde's a guardian of the Kalos region. I would be surprised if Team Flare uses/wants it for malicious reasons. What are your thoughts on Zygarde cell and it not being a form of Zygarde? It is a form. Lmao Do you think there is a connection between Zygarde and Team Flare? Why or Why not? There is, probably something similar to Platinum's Giratina. What would be the connection between Zygarde and Xerneas and Yveltal? Do they all keep balance in there own way? Do you think Zygarde keeps the other two under control? No doubt that Zygarde's the boss of Mortality Trio. Do you think Rayquaza and Zygarde are related in someway? Why? In a sense yes, they prevent imbalances of their respected related region. Additionally, they are both green (in different hues) and they are both Dragon-types! Do you think the Anistar Sundial, Mega Evolutions and Zygarde are related? Why? Yes, at least the three of them are, according to the official anime series. While Mega Stones and Anistar Sundial are strongly hinted to be connected. |
Dragon Type Pokemon of The Week Vibrava, The Vibration Pokemon, Although its wings are not fully developed, Vibrava can generate ultrasonic waves by vigorously making its two wings vibrate. This Pokémon's ultrasonic waves are so powerful, they can bring on headaches in people. Possible Questions: Have you ever used a Vibrava In-Game? If no why? Whats your overall opinion of Vibrava? Is it a fitting dragon type? What do you think of Vibrava's design? What are some of your thoughts on how Vibrava evolves from Trapinch? Do you see Vibrava as part ground type? Do you see vibrava having a different type combination than it does? Other thoughts? Sorry about how long it took but its here now! Dates may have to shift though till i can get a grip on school work but anyways lets chat Vibrava! I definitely had to bring him up cause he is one of my all time favorites and an all time mystery on how he evolves from trapinch. Also everyone forgets the middle pokemon! Lets discuss! |
Have you ever used a Vibrava In-Game? If no why?
Yup. I've used its line in Emerald numerous times, and once in SoulSilver. Whats your overall opinion of Vibrava? Is it a fitting dragon type? I'm sticking to my statement about Dragonair, which is that dragons come in all shapes and sizes. However, I think it would have been more fitting to be part Bug instead of part Ground. It's current typing isn't bad, but I just don't see anything about Vibrava that makes it a Ground-type other than the fact that it lives in the desert. What do you think of Vibrava's design? I like the way the green color of its wings, eyes and scales pop out from the body; very different from how other Dragons look, usually involving a single color for the body with an "underbelly" color. What are some of your thoughts on how Vibrava evolves from Trapinch? Now that I think of it, it honestly is unusual how a Pokemon resembling an ant would evolve into something like a dragonfly. A quick glance at Vibrava would give the impression that it evolves from something like a nymph as opposed to a different insect. Do you see Vibrava as part ground type? Do you see vibrava having a different type combination than it does? Like I said in question 2, Vibrava does not look like a Ground type to me. It looks more like a Bug/Dragon Pokemon based on its design. Other thoughts? Nintendo still owes us a Mega for its final form |
Have you ever used a Vibrava In-Game? If no why?
I have used it through getting myself Flygon. They are now a bunch of healthy Flygon. Whats your overall opinion of Vibrava? Is it a fitting Dragon-type? It actually fits the role. What do you think of Vibrava's design? It's somewhere on cute to decent! At first I thought it was a mosquito, a huge one. What are some of your thoughts on how Vibrava evolves from Trapinch? It's normal if you know about the specie's origin. Do you see Vibrava as part ground type? Do you see Vibrava having a different type combination than it does? I believe it should be a Bug/Dragon instead? I could see the reason for Trapinch's typing. However, I believe it's better if Vibrava and Flygon are Bug/Dragon! Other thoughts? Trapinch has Sheer Force as its Hidden Ability. Sadly it 'disappears' when it evolves into Vibrava and Flygon. The Trapinch line has a great potential, sadly Game Freak is hindering it too much for no official reasons. My guess is they don't want it to surpass the pseudo-legends? Additionally Mega Flygon should be available already! It's reassuring to hear that its creation is part of the plan, just hopefully they aren't making it offensive nor defensively weaker than it is. they Speed stat should be higher too! |
Have you ever used a Vibrava In-Game? If no why?
Only en route to getting a Flygon. Whats your overall opinion of Vibrava? Is it a fitting dragon type? It definitely has dragon elements to it, so I would say yes. What do you think of Vibrava's design? I like it, it's very unique and it looks really cool. What are some of your thoughts on how Vibrava evolves from Trapinch? It's based on an antlion which is a type of bug that grows as an adult into a Vibrava-like bug, so it works well based on that. Do you see Vibrava as part ground type? Do you see vibrava having a different type combination than it does? It needs to be a Bug/Dragon-type, see above. It becomes a full on bug and Vibrava and Flygon don't really possess that many traits of Ground-types. |
Have you ever used a Vibrava In-Game? If no why?
I have a few Flygons that were once Vibravas, so yes. Whats your overall opinion of Vibrava? Is it a fitting dragon type? I like Vibrava's design overall. Dragonflies are one of my favorite insects. And if any bug were to get a dragon typing, it would be a dragonfly. It's too bad that Vibrava isn't Bug type. What better design could they ever make to be a dragon/bug dual type than Vibrava/Flygon? I really want to see a dragon dual type for every type. Counting megas, there's only three types left. One of them could have easily been done, but with vibrava/flygon being ground/dragon, it's likelihood is diminishing. Mega Flygon? Maybe? What do you think of Vibrava's design? Vibrava's quick beating, diamond shaped wings are my favorite part of it's design. It really stands out on this pokemon. What are some of your thoughts on how Vibrava evolves from Trapinch? I always figured that Trapinch was some kind of nymph-stage of a dragonfly; except for some reason it lived in the ground instead of water? I didn't question it too much. It wasn't until an ant lion trap was mentioned several times in Pokemon Adventures that I decided to finally look up what an ant lion trap was. When i read about the ant lion, it immediately reminded me of Trapinch, then I saw it's adult form, and was like, "oh... now I get it." Do you see Vibrava as part ground type? Do you see vibrava having a different type combination than it does? I think bug would have matched better, but I can't say I didn't mind having a ground-type that couldn't be hit by ground-type attacks. Like some kind of master of ground-type. |
YES the cutes
Have you ever used a Vibrava In-Game? If no why? I have! I used one in pokemon AS when I caught a trapinch and it evolved o/ Whats your overall opinion of Vibrava? Is it a fitting dragon type? I think it's so cute, I like it! And it seems like more of a bug type to me but it would be weird to have it go from ground to bug to dragon all of a sudden. It could be a baby dragon~ What do you think of Vibrava's design? V Cute and huggable, but like I said it does look more buggy. |
Dragon Type Pokemon of The Week Tyrunt, The Royal Heir Pokémon, This Pokémon was restored from a fossil. If something happens that it doesn't like, it throws a tantrum and runs wild. It is said to have lived 100 million years ago and its immense jaws have enough destructive force that it can chew up an automobile. Possible Questions: Have you ever used a Tyrunt In-Game? If no why? Whats your overall opinion of Tyrunt? What do you think of Tyrunt's design? What do you think of it being the first dragon type fossil pokemon? Do you like the type combination and would you like more dragon fossils? What are your thoughts on its dex description and it being the "Royal Heir Pokemon"? Other thoughts? Wooo another cute yet powerful dragon type! Also i thought we may as well have it a day or two early since everyone already was quick to chat about one of my favorite dragons Vibrava. Quote:
Also im going to answer them myself cause i think its worth chatting about Have you ever used a Vibrava In-Game? If no why? Duh of coarse i have im not a loser that doesnt train a flygon :P Whats your overall opinion of Vibrava? Is it a fitting dragon type? Yes he's so cute and scary! What do you think of Vibrava's design? Cute, scary, powerful and a bit intimidating. What are some of your thoughts on how Vibrava evolves from Trapinch? I never quite understood it cause trapinch is so uhhhhhh....and vibrava is so amazing Do you see Vibrava as part ground type? Do you see vibrava having a different type combination than it does? I honestly always saw him as a dragon and bug type but thats just me |
Tyrunt and Tyrantrum were legit the Pokemon I was most excited about when they were revealed during the XY pre-release, and I made sure to get one in my Y playthrough asap. I do sorta like Rock types and Rock/Dragon is a new/unique type combo. Is also pretty sweet that it gets Rock Head+Head Smash. It does have some flaws in battle but it can put in serious work with a Dragon Dance, Choice Scarf, or Choice Band set. T-Rexes are still cool yo.
|
Have you ever used a Tyrunt In-Game? If no why?
I used on in my first run-through of X for a while. I've yet to build a competitive Tyrantrum, though. I want to get a hidden ability Tyrunt first. Whats your overall opinion of Tyrunt? I love Tyrunt. Normally I'm not all that fond of most earthy type pokemon, but Tyrunt is among the few exceptions. I can totally see a baby T-Rex being a spoiled brat. I think the main reason I like this Pokemon is because of its name. A little Tyrannosaurus runt that acts like a tyrant. And his bulky design and large jaws gives him the appearance of a bully. What do you think of it being the first dragon type fossil pokemon? Do you like the type combination and would you like more dragon fossils? I think it was pretty cool considering T-rexs are pretty popular and could be considered the king of the dinosaur world. Based on it's stature and aggressive behavior portrayed in movies, giving it a powerful type like dragon would make sense. Though I wouldn't have minded either way. I also like it's blue shiny form. There aren't many pokemon that have a great shiny color scheme. What are your thoughts on its dex description and it being the "Royal Heir Pokemon"? Well, Rex means king, so it fits. I also like how the Pokedex, similar to Machoke, Aron, Braviary, Krookodile, and Darmanitan, explains Tyrunt's power by testing it out on a vehicle. I'm just imagining some Pokemon scientist thinking, "Well, it's punch was pretty effective against that mini-van, and it tore apart that old bus we had, so now let's test it out on a dump truck!" |
Have you ever used a Tyrunt In-Game? If no why?
Yes I did! Love that thing a lot! <3 Whats your overall opinion of Tyrunt? The first ever Dragon-type fossil, as you said. It's a great companion for in-game! It's actually cute as well!~ It reminds me Gon, the yellow dinosaur created by Masashi Tanaka. What do you think of it being the first dragon type fossil pokemon? Do you like the type combination and would you like more dragon fossils? That title is not only an honor, it's actually a battle handy Pokémon (for in-game, at least). Despite the number of its weaknesses, I love the unique typing a lot! But I prefer the fossil AND Dragon/Rock status remain exclusively for the Tyrunt line. :) What are your thoughts on its dex description and it being the "Royal Heir Pokemon"? It looks like a cute prince. I'm surprised its jaw power can crush an automobile! |
Have you ever used a Tyrunt In-Game? If no why?
I used one in my Y play through ^.^ Whats your overall opinion of Tyrunt? I really like the ability it has since it helps a lot in certain scenarios. It's typing is rather unique and has a lot of coverage. However, it somehow underperformed when I used it. It was a bit disappointing to be honest >~< It might have just been the moves I gave him though xP What do you think of Tyrunt's design? I really like it! Dinosaurs are awesome and I've always seen them being dragon-like so I think it fits quite perfectly :P What do you think of it being the first dragon type fossil pokemon? Do you like the type combination and would you like more dragon fossils? I think it's awesome! Dragons are supposed to be sort of prehistoric anyway so it being a fossil makes complete sense to me. I also like that they're moving away from the whole water/rock thing. I'd rather see another unique typing than Dragon/Rock again but I certainly wouldn't mind! |

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do you think there is a connection between Zygarde and Team Flare? Why or Why not? If I can recall as to how past games dealt with the third legendary I believe team flare will not directly be linked to Zygarde but team flare action will give rise to a rampaging Zygarde. I am basing this off of what I heard as I haven't played Kalos, I got Alpha Sapphire though. What would be the connection between Zygarde and Xerneas and Yveltal? Do they all keep balance in there own way? Do you think Zygarde keeps the other two under control? I believe Zygarde is the one that keeps the two in check. Their relation is mostly symbiotic as in Zygarde purpose is to keep the ecosystem i.e. life in a balance and he cannot do so with Yveltal and Xerneas running around, but Zygarde is not perfect in a sense and needs the power of the other two to be able to uphold its own purpose. Do you think Rayquaza and Zygarde are related in someway? Why? The only relation they have is that they share similar purpose, I would say Deoxys and Zygarde has more of a relationship in the pokemon world. Do you think the Anistar Sundial, Mega Evolutions and Zygarde are related? Why? I honestly do not know. I know that many parallel are drawn between Zygarde and cell and if that is the case the only relation is that Zygarde perfect form in the next step in evolution and thus this may connect Zygarde to mega evolution itself. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Have you ever used a Vibrava In-Game? If no why? Not at all since I never been able to catch a trapinch back in the days or RSE, but with AS in my new 3DS I may give him/her a try. Whats your overall opinion of Vibrava? Is it a fitting dragon type? Its a unique pokemon who has a beast evolution later on but is hard to level like most psuedo's. Though its movepool is decent enough to use. I am fine with its dragon typing but I kind of wish he was part bug as he looks like one. What do you think of Vibrava's design? It is really cute and kind of looks like a cross between a ninjask and a venomoth What are some of your thoughts on how Vibrava evolves from Trapinch? I don't see visually how it can transform into something so cute Do you see Vibrava as part ground type? Do you see vibrava having a different type combination than it does? I can see as to why since its pre-evolution is trapinch but it looks more like part bug Other thoughts? This is just a thought in general, I believe dragon typing should allow us to learn any type of move and i don't think its second typing should limit that. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Have you ever used a Tyrunt In-Game? If no why? No, I do not own X or Y but I might be able to use him if I can trade or use other means to get him on ORAS. Whats your overall opinion of Tyrunt? Ancient dragon!! Its rock/dragon typing is fine but I think we are over saturated with rock/ground types in most meta. What do you think of Tyrunt's design? Looks like a dino, dino are aswesome. What do you think of it being the first dragon type fossil pokemon? Do you like the type combination and would you like more dragon fossils? Would love more ancient dragons but I don't like how most fossil types have a primary/secondary rock typing. What are your thoughts on its dex description and it being the "Royal Heir Pokemon"? Sounds BA. Other thoughts? None on Tyrunt. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
Dragon Type Pokemon of The Week Deino, The Irate Pokemon, Lacking sight, it's unaware of its surroundings, so it bumps into things and eats anything that moves. Approaching it carelessly is dangerous due to this since it tends to bite everything, and it is not a picky eater! It is covered in wounds. Possible Questions: Have you ever used a Deino In-Game? If no why? Whats your overall opinion of Deino? What do you think of Deino's design? Do you overall like the typing of dark/dragon? Or do you prefer a dragon with no 4x weakness? Please define Irate since I dont know what it means and im sure most dont! And what do you think of it being the "Irate Pokemon"? Why do you think Deino is "covered in wounds"? Do you think theyre born that way or theyre constantly beat up or something else? Other thoughts? Glad everyone liked Tyrunt! Cause i might have screamed if you didnt But seriously that line is amazing its one of the only fossil lines i fell in love with and eventhough the typing has alot of weaknesses i still love using them! Also sorry for the lateness with school and all its a bit busy here but ill try to keep this updated weekly. |
Irate means angry
and lots of dragons have 4x weaknesses really I do sortta like the use of German numbers in the Deino family name and Dark/Dragon is cool though I wish it evoled a little sooner |
Have you ever used a Deino In-Game? If no why?
Not really. I had one (Hydreigon now), but I don't really use it that much. Whats your overall opinion of Deino? It's okay. Not among my favorite dragons. I don't really like how he has wounds all over him. But I do like his name. The German "ein" to refer to the number of heads, and that his name reminds me of Dino from The Flintstones. Why do you think Deino is "covered in wounds"? Do you think theyre born that way or theyre constantly beat up or something else? I believe it was mentioned that it's because they bite each other and being blind, run into things all the time. |
Have you ever used a Deino In-Game? If no why?
No because they evolve way too late to be of much use to me ;-; Whats your overall opinion of Deino? It's a really cool Pokemon that is part of a line that was considered to be beastly til the fairies came in so I naturally can't help but like it! Do you overall like the typing of dark/dragon? Or do you prefer a dragon with no 4x weakness? When Deino was first revealed, Dragons were rather overpowered but now, with fairy, I don't feel like a four times weakness to a type that is pretty much immune to it is fair at all. It seems like a little bit of an overkill and that's why it's line isn't considered to be practically legendary anymore. Please define Irate since I don't know what it means and I'm sure most don't! And what do you think of it being the "Irate Pokemon"? With all these fairies running around, I'd be irate if I were Deino too! Nah already defined irate though xD Why do you think Deino is "covered in wounds"? Do you think theyre born that way or theyre constantly beat up or something else? Well, it's said they constantly bump into things and bites everything. I'm sure some of the things they bite fight back. Imagine biting a Machamp or Rayquaza or something. It's not fun being a Deino! Till you evolve, that is :P |

Here's a new topic for us: If you were allowed to distribute a non-legendary shiny Pokemon, what special moves would it have? - Keep in mind Dragon-types only. - Be overpower as much as you want, just give a good explanation. :) |
If you were allowed to distribute a non-legendary shiny Pokemon, what special moves would it have?
It took me awhile to think something up. I'm not that familiar with competitive battling to come up with something good battle-wise, so instead, how about this: Tyrantrum Lv. 50 http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen6/xy_shiny/697.png Nature: Adamant Ability: Strong Jaw Held Item: Razor Claw Moves: Hone Claws, Crunch, Dragon Rush, Camouflage, It's supposed to be based on the Indominus Rex from Jurassic World (which I haven't seen yet unfortunately), so I gave it Camouflage and Dragon Rush, which are two moves it can't learn normally. Moves like Nasty Plot, Dragon Claw, and Roar might also work, but I wanted to keep the Hone Claws and Dragon Rush because they seem to work well together, Crunch benefits from the Strong Jaw ability, and Camouflage because of the I. Rex. And shiny Tyrantrum just looks so amazing! I really would love to have one. |
Dragon Type Pokemon of The Week Dragonite, The Dragon Pokémon. An extremely rarely seen marine Pokémon. Its intelligence is said to match that of humans. It is said that this Pokémon lives somewhere in the sea and that it flies. However, it is only a rumor. It is said that this Pokémon constantly flies over the immense seas and rescues drowning people. This marine Pokémon has an impressive build that lets it freely fly over raging seas without trouble. It is said that somewhere in the ocean lies an island where these gather. Only they live there. It can circle the globe in just 16 hours. It is a kindhearted Pokémon that leads lost and foundering ships in a storm to the safety of land. It can fly in spite of its big and bulky physique. Possible Questions: Have you ever used a Dragonite Competitively or In-Game? If no why? Whats your overall opinion of Dragonite? What do you think of Dragonite's design? Thoughts on Dragonite being the "first" dragon type pokemon? Did you like its typing of dragon and flying? Is Dragonite overrated in your opinion? Other thoughts? Once again very very sorry for all the business and lateness and all but whoo its finally dragonite!Nope i couldnt resist. Anyways its the first dragon type line so lets discuss it a bit! |
Have you ever used a Dragonite Competitively or In-Game? If no why?
I had for both occasions. No regrets. Whats your overall opinion of Dragonite? It's tough on the competitive aspect, reliable both on the offensive and defensive side. What do you think of Dragonite's design? Dragonite's design isn't that bad. It's just that it doesn't fit in the theme of its two pre-evolution forms. At least the colors and eyes aren't matching. Thoughts on Dragonite being the "first" dragon type pokemon? Did you like its typing of dragon and flying? I wish it was something blue, violet or purple rather than a huge orange happy dragon? There's nothing wrong with being happy; it's great. It kinda stands out as a unique kind if you put it that way. As for the typing, I would personally prefer Dragonite to remain as a pure Dragon, despite the fact that I love Flying-types a lot. Is Dragonite overrated in your opinion? I've been hearing it is overrated in the metagame, particularly with the Multiscale Ability. Other thoughts? It needs a Mega Evolution! |

Dragonite
Have you ever used a Dragonite Competitively or In-Game? If no why? I have used it in game, it's pretty fantastic since it learns so many moves. Whats your overall opinion of Dragonite? I like it quite a bit, though it's definitely not my favorite Pseudo-Legendary. -points at Garchomp- What do you think of Dragonite's design? It's very generic and it's definitely inferior to A. it's other Dragon-type Pseudo-Legendary counterparts and B. it's pre-evolutions, which are much better looking. Thoughts on Dragonite being the "first" dragon type pokemon? Did you like its typing of dragon and flying? I thought it was really cool when I first saw it, and it definitely fits its typing. Is Dragonite overrated in your opinion? It is now, though when it was first introduced I thought it was pretty fantastic. Now it's just outclassed by other Dragon-types. Other thoughts? Despite falling in the Dragon-type ranks, I still like Dragonite quite a bit and it's still quite good. |
Dragon Type Pokemon of The Week Latios, The Eon Pokémon. Latios has the ability to make others see an image of what it has seen or imagines in its head. This Pokémon is intelligent and understands human speech. Latios will only open its heart to a Trainer with a compassionate spirit. This Pokémon can fly faster than a jet plane by folding its forelegs to minimize air resistance. It is a tender Pokémon that dislikes fighting. Possible Questions: Have you ever used a Latios Competitively or In-Game? If no why? Whats your overall opinion of Latio's? What do you think of Latio's design? Do you see Latios as a Psychic/dragon? Do you like this type combination Other thoughts? I dont have much to say except plz watch the video Nah shared {XD} Spoiler:
Also Dragonite is amazing |
Dragonite has always been my favorite pkm.
Whats your overall opinion of Latio's? I've yet to really develop an opinion of them because by the time they were introduced, i had already started avoiding legendaries. What do you think of Latio's design? The design is decent enough and i really think the mega looks pretty cool! Do you see Latios as a Psychic/dragon? Do you like this type combination Again, i've avoided using this pkm so i don't have an opinion on this but that sounds like a nice typing. Generally Psychics are SP oriented and it's design lends me to believe that it is more so on the physical side so i kind of find it odd this pkm would be set up this way. The most obvious typing i'd guess for Latios/Latias would be Flying/____ or Dragon /Flying Other thoughts? |
Have you ever used a Latios Competitively or In-Game? If no why?
If you count in battle facilities as competitive, then the answer is hella yes! I haven't used him for my in-game team though, it's my policy to not use a legend in my in-game teams (Of course with the obvious exception of Black and White versions.) Whats your overall opinion of Latio's? Perfect design, Perfect moveset and perfect signature item. What do you think of Latio's design? Streamline, handsome, huge and naturally he's perfect! Do you see Latios as a Psychic/dragon? Do you like this type combination? Psychic, not so much on the aesthetic, but the movie has shown it can communicate with telepathy and change forms. :) 6 weaknesses and 6 resistances, he's quite the extreme and hardcore Pokemon. XD |

I actually tend to use Latias more than Latios for some reason.... |

Have you ever used a Latios Competitively or In-Game? If no why?
Nope, I really don't use Legendaries in my playthroughs. Whats your overall opinion of Latios? It's never been one of my favorites, but it's not bad. What do you think of Latios' design? Do you see Latios as a Psychic/dragon? Do you like this type combination? I feel like it should be a Flying-type somehow, but at the same time that combination definitely fits it, so I guess it's fine the way it is. Other thoughts? Latios is a good Pokémon, it just honestly doesn't appeal to me a whole lot. |
Dragon Type Pokemon of The Week Goodra, The Dragon Pokémon. This very friendly Dragon-type Pokémon will hug its beloved Trainer, leaving that Trainer covered in sticky slime however, when provoked, it attacks with retractable horns and throws a punch that's the equivalent of the force of a hundred pro boxers. Possible Questions: Have you ever used a Goodra Competitively or In-Game? If no why? Whats your overall opinion of Goodra? What do you think of Goodra design? If you were to change Goodra in anyway what would you change and why? Other thoughts? Ehhhhhh alittle late but i went through the list and we NEVER featured Goodra..so this was needed. |

Anyway, I'm pretty sure I once used Goodra on a competitive team and it's sitting somewhere in one of my PC boxes. Part of me thinks it could be Dragon/Poison but I guess they didn't wanna do that since there's Dragalgae (how do you spell that one again?) as a 6th gen Dragon/Poison. Though I wonder why the whole line is Dragon type when the first 2 are based off of slugs or something like that. Though there is the Flygon line where the first 2 stages are very insect-like before you get to the dragonic Flygon. Guess it's the same kind of thing with Goodra. |
Have you ever used a Goodra Competitively or In-Game? If no why?
Nope, and I don't plan on it. I'm not a fan of this Pokémon. Whats your overall opinion of Goodra? I don't like it. Goomy is kind of cute in a funny, goofy kind of way, but Goodra doesn't fit the image as a Pseudo-legendary Pokémon if you ask me. What do you think of Goodra design? The colors are weird and it doesn't fit what it's supposed to be. If you were to change Goodra in anyway what would you change and why? Make it look more like a Pseudo-legendary. Other thoughts? I've been very negative, but I have liked all of the previous Pseudo-legendary Pokémon up until this one, so this is a major disappointment for me. You could put any one of them next to this and I would tell you they're all more intimidating than this one, including Dragonite who's not all that intimidating. |
Have you ever used a Goodra Competitively or In-Game? If no why?
I've used a Goodra in X and liked it enough to build a competitive one that I often use. It can take a good hit and Rain Dance + Rest + Hydration makes for an easy recovery. I like to sometimes go to the rainy areas of Hoenn and Kalos and throw out a Goodra into battle thinking, "Ha, face my ultimate Goodra! With this rain, he's just about invincible! Mwahahaha!" And then I eventually get bored and find something else to do... I really need to start up a new game / find a new goal. What do you think of Goodra design? I like all the Kalos Dragons' designs. I didn't at first, but now they're some of my favorite designs out of all the dragon type pokemon. I'd have to say that the thing about Goodra that I like the most is its softer and more cuter design. Sliggoo and Goodra are so adorable in Pokemon Amie. I really like its antennae/tentacles/horns on the top of its head, and Power Whip is a pretty cool looking move for this Pokemon. If you were to change Goodra in anyway what would you change and why? Its snout looks really flat and the dark purple markings on its face makes it look like its got a 5 o'clock shadow. I don't like it. Also, just Dragon-type? Eh... They could have added poison or something to make it a dual type. |

Dragon Type Pokemon of The Week Rayquaza, The Sky High Pokémon. It lives in the ozone layer far above the clouds and cannot be seen from the ground. Until recently, no one had ever seen it. Rayquaza is said to have lived for hundreds of millions of years. Legends remain of how it put to rest the clash between Kyogre and Groudon. It flies forever through the ozone layer, consuming meteoroids for sustenance. The many meteoroids in its body provide the energy it needs to Mega Evolve. Possible Questions: Have you ever used a RayquazaCompetitively or In-Game? If no why? Whats your overall opinion of Rayquaza? What do you think of Rayquaza's design? Its mega evolution design? Do you think its mega is alittle op? Its body has meteroids in it? Other thoughts? Its late of coarse....again....SORRY D: but its mega rayquaza what cant you like? Quote:

Favorite Dragon type/Dragon Pokemon: Hydreigon Reason for joining club: Dragons were alway powerful and good hitters with lots of advantages Answer to any one of the current topics: 6. Would you like Dragon type starters? If yes, which one would you start with? No, they are too overpowered and I feel cheap startinng with them. |

Competitively speaking, I haven't used the mega much since it got banned from Ubers fairly quickly on Showdown and I'm not into the AG meta at all. And Rayquaza is banned in rated Battle Spot so that just leaves unrated Battle Spot for my use of it really.....which I only tend to ever do when I'm sort of screwing around with an all Uber-legends team. The base form though has gotten some use on Showdown though. This gen it was mostly as a Surf Rayquaza, which was a thing (dunno if it still is) in early ORAS Ubers since it made a decent surprise check to Primal Groudon since Air Lock negates Primal Groudon's Water immunity via Desolate Land. Haven't used it much in a while though. Quote:

But then they gave it a Mega Evolution. Its already impressive attacking stats got boosted even further, to be on par with that of Deoxys-Attack, a slight bulk increase, and more importantly, +20 base Speed, giving it a speed tier higher than the new Speed benchmark of OU (base 110), which is a higher speed meta than Ubers. The real kickers though were the new ability and the lack of needing a mega stone to go mega. Delta Stream eliminates its Stealth Rock weakness, makes it resistant to Electric, and makes the 4x Ice weakness more manageable. All with no drawbacks. And even Primal Groudon/Kyogre's Desolate Land/Primordial Sea can't overpower Delta Stream. The requirement of holding a mega stone in order to mega evolve was probably put in place as a sort of way to balance out the benefits of mega evolution; the Pokemon is already getting +100 to its base stats and possibly other changes, why should it get an item to make it even stronger? But then they kind of ignored that with Mega Ray. Now your super powerful dragon can make itself even more threatening with your item of choice. And it finally got the powerful Flying STAB it wanted in Dragon Ascent. And all that combined kinda makes Mega Rayquaza a little ridic. Fairies? Mega Ray don't care about Fairies. Except for Xerneas, but Xern is bonkers in its own way. But at least the fact that Game Freak is willing to make a Pokemon as powerful as Mega Rayquaza or the Mega Mewtwos gives me hope that perhaps one day we'll see the Tao Dragon in all its might and it'll be playable too. Before I thought that there was a limit to how strong Game Freak was willing to make a Pokemon. Think of how strong the Zekrom, Reshiram, and Kyurem are individually. Think of how strong Black/White Kyurem, incomplete versions of the Tao Dragon, are. Back in Gen V I though that the Tao Dragon would've been much too strong for GF to consider making available to the player to use. But they've given us Mega Rayquaza, and Complete/Perfect/100% form Zygarde has the potenital to be immensely powerful too, so the Tao Dragon is no longer out of the question. Quote:

Neither; it's my policy to not use any legendary Pokemon in-game and I'm not much of a competitive battler as well. I love Rayquaza, he looks powerful and majestic! Not a fan of the M-Rayquaza's design though. M-Rayquaza isn't little overpowered, it is very overpowered! Yes, it has a meteorite in its body since it swallowed one. Quote:

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
@Goodra: I have never really used it competivitely but I love the disign. It looks a bit fat but it has the perfect combination with the hight. I also have a feeling the pokemon might be a bit underrated too. Overal the best thing is just the colour. It has an amazing purple coloir, not too dark and not to ligjtneither. I absolutely love it! |
oh yeah I stumbled across these the other day and thought they were kinda cool lookin':
