Should I get Pokemon X or Y? (more details inside)

I don't have wifi so I'm taking in all the version exclusives into account when making this decision. Maybe some of you who've already played the games can help me choose.

I prefer Mewtwo's and Charizard's Y mega evolution. But I really like Mega Tyranitar who's exclusive to X, he looks badass! Also I'm in love with Xerneas and I'm pretty neutral to Yvetall.

So with that in mind which version should I purchase? Trivial differences in the end I know but in your opinion which game has better exclusives overall?

Go for X Mega Tyranitar does indeed rock, and Xerneas is an amazing legendary and if you buy X the story will feature Xerneas as part of the plot.

If it helps, it's best to take Xerneous/Yveltel & Charizard out of the equation... for Charizard I believe both stones are available through the stone store in Luminouse City. Meanwhile, despite your lack of wifi there is always a chance you'll be able pick up a Xerneous or Yveltal at an event (a local Game store... or a trade when going to a roadshow).

The real decider is how much you value Mega Tyranitar against Mega Mewtwo Y... and this is something no one can really decide for you! Personally I'd say "Y" as Mega Mewtwo Y is simply insane as a special sweeper.

Yeah I'm leaning towards X at the moment. Still a few hours until the stores open though so I figured I'd make this thread just in case anyone could sway me.

Sorry I made my last post before reading yours. I didn't know that both Charizards were available for both versions. Thanks for that information. Definitely leaning towards X now. I love Mega Mewtwo Y's design but it looks like I might have to settle for a regular Mewtwo. I can't stand Mega Mewtwo X's design so I won't even use his item when I catch him.

Mega Tyranitar is exclusive to X, but Pokémon Y's got access to Mega Aggron, who, in my opinion is just as good. Mega Aggron's base Attack stat is one-forty, which isn't bad at all. After a boost, it could start sweeping immediately. It has a gigantic Defense stat, too—two-thirty. With that amount, it would be able to endure countless amount of physical hits for you. Its Special Defense stat is pretty good as well. This Pokémon may be a bit slow, but that isn't such a huge issue. d: Along with Mega Aggron, Mega Houndoom is also available in Y. It's extremely speedy, and its Special Attack stat is just phenomenal. This could make a great special sweeper for almost any team.

Charizardite X can only be bought on Pokemon X and Y can only be on Y, so no, they're NOT BOTH available in a SINGLE version.
You can only buy it if you did not pick Charmander from the professor. If you did, you get the Charizardite according to your version. After that, you can only buy Blastoiseite and Venusaurite.

If you did not pick Charmander, you can buy a Charizardite X in Pokemon X and Charizardite Y in Pokemon Y.

But definitely you can trade the Charizardite with someone of a different version.

Oh well I guess I'm on the fence again lol nah I'm still getting X. It came down to whether I wanted Xerneas or Mewtwo Y more. Xerneas looks too majestic to pass up. I'll just have to get wifi if I want to get everything from both games.

I'm planning on getting both versions down the line, but I choose Y because it seemed to be the unfavored one.. which means the exclusives in it can usually be traded for a lot more. I mean, you won't get Xernie or Charizard X.. but if thats something you don't really care too much about (like me) then its no problem. I'm sure Gamefreak will have some kind of give away about a year down the line for the opposite legendary.. maybe when they announce the 3rd game. They kind of did that with Reshiram and Zekrom back in the day.
