saddest part of Pokémon X & Y

what do you think is the saddest part of Pokémon X & Y?

for me, I think it is the Pokémon Village. where Pokémon go after being with mean trainers. How could people treat Pokémon badly??? :( :'(

Sandra November 25th, 2013 2:26 PM

Lack of aftergame, I only cried for 2 and a third hours.

Edit: forgot another thing, CANT BRING DODUO/DODRIO to Sky battles. I cried for 17 and a half hours. I wanted to see one fly :C

Redingard November 25th, 2013 2:57 PM

The fact my Mega Charizard X can't raze the lands with Outrage because fairies.

s0nido November 25th, 2013 3:21 PM

If you haven't completed the game yet and interested in avoiding all story-related spoilers:
1. wtf are you waiting for omg finish it
2. Spoiler alert.
Spoiler:
I think I teared up slightly when Lysandre threatened to kill everything besides Team Flare. That actually got to me.

The lack of much to do after I finished the game was also disheartening, but then I discovered the wonderful world of the metagame and I'm now hooked on EV training and IV breeding everything I see.

Mp3beast November 25th, 2013 5:54 PM

Oh hey, spoilers, just in case.
Spoiler:
I know its pretty cheesy, but I was a little sad at these parts:
1. Lysandre admitting that he had to kill all Pokemon.
2. The King guy meeting his Flabebe' evolved thing (can't recall its name, despite having one at one point).
3. The credits lyrics.

Arrow November 26th, 2013 12:16 PM

Spoiler:
1. Finding out that the stones on Route 10 were the graves of the Pokemon who fought in the war.
2. Finding out there actually was a war
3. Lysandre saying he was going to kill everyone and everything except for those in Team Flare
4. The lyrics in the credits
5. I experienced this for the first time yesterday. The old man in Anistar City... lie down. Try not to cry. Cry a lot.

X and Y is freakin' dark.

ErisChaos November 26th, 2013 12:27 PM

Saddest part?

The old man in Anistar City that wants you to loan him a pokemon.

Or rather, when you go back later after you have loaned him one.

Kikaito plush November 26th, 2013 12:29 PM

when AZ's flababe returned to him after all these years.

Demon Days November 26th, 2013 12:32 PM

The fact that post-game was a wisp of a thing.
AZ's story was thrown in there willy-nilly.

That's it for me too, i mean it has no point! Game freak was just like, "hmm you know lets make are game more sad for no story reason"

icelovebunnies9 November 26th, 2013 1:03 PM

Well, added the spoilers just in case. ;)
Spoiler:
I found the little poem or whatever it is at the credits really sad and beautiful. Floette returning to AZ was sad too. Calem friend-zoning me made me depressed. XD

Sleeping Eevee November 26th, 2013 2:05 PM

Probably the war. It was continually mentioned over and over, with the same images mentioned over and over...and even though I wanted to learn more, it got dark after a while when AZ came into the story.
But, at least everything came to a happy ending when AZ's Floette came back to him.

OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire November 26th, 2013 2:12 PM

AZ's story, and the end lyrics were the saddest parts for me.

braixen November 26th, 2013 2:24 PM

i almost cried at the end of the story, but that was pretty much all i found to be sad.

Atomic Pirate November 26th, 2013 5:42 PM

For me, it had to be the moment when I logged on to the GTS to look for a Houndour and discovered that all anyone was asking for was Xerneas or Mewtwo.

Some things never change.

Hiatus November 27th, 2013 5:46 PM

I've once encountered a shiny Litleo at the beginning of the game. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to catch it, as I accidently made it faint while trying to weaken it. This would be my saddest moment. I would've captured that Pokémon directly without using attacks or anything, but at that time, I only had two to three Poké Balls with me—I didn't want any of them to go to a waste. And like most of you here, I also found the ending to be pretty saddening. d:

tradly November 27th, 2013 5:57 PM

The amount of new pokemon for x and y.

Nurse Joy November 27th, 2013 6:06 PM

The ending! Well, actually, I cried tears of joy, not sadness. It was so beautiful~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But what really broke my heart was that poor old man in Anistar City! I gave him my Zigzagoon (I thought it was a nice Pokemon for an old person). Then I came back and he freaking died! ;A; SO SAD! ;A;

Zero Percent November 27th, 2013 6:13 PM

The old man in Anistar city.
I just want to know... is that escape rope near his house... is that supposed to mean something? ;-;

Sebastian_Sommer November 28th, 2013 7:48 AM

chain fishing 200+ pokemon for 2 hours and not encountering a single shiny.....

Leonomonn November 28th, 2013 8:48 AM

I think the saddest part is Geosenge because after the weapon was brought out those houses are still flipped over in the end game.
