X/Y Wifi Team want your opinion/advice

Okay, so I have seen a lot of people do wifi battles a lot on YouTube, and I wanna try to get into competitive battling. I might not be to good at it, but I wanna try anyway, because if I keep on battling, I can only get better. So here is a team I plan on using for competitive battling:

http://serebii.net/xy/pokemon/596.png
Galvantula @ Focus Sash
Compound Eyes
4 HP/252 Special Attack/252 Speed
Jolly
- Thunder
- Sticky Web
- Volt Switch
- Infestation

This is pretty much my lead. I use Stick Web so that any Pokemon that comes in will have its Speed lowered. I can use Volt Switch to deal some damage while switching it out, or if I wanna keep it in I can deal even more damage using Thunder. If my Galvantula is gonna die, I'll use Infestation so that it can't switch out, so that it'll damage each turn and I can send in something else to kill it.

Venusaur @ Venusaurite
Thick Fat
252 HP/72 Defense/4 Special Attack/180 Special Defense
Bold/Calm
- Leech Seed
- Giga Drain/Energy Ball
- Sleep Powder
- Synthesis

Venusaur is going to be my Mega Evolution for this team. I want it so that Venusaur can take hits. I can switch Venusaur to take hits or switch into a Pokemon that I'll think might use Spore or Sleep Powder. Sleep Powder can put any Pokemon to sleep, and I can use Leech Seed to drain health from a Pokemon every turn. Synthesis is so it can regain health if it is low on health. Now, I can either use Giga Drain to attack and regain some health, or I can use Energy Ball which doesn't regain health but does more damage.

Talonflame @ Leftovers
Gale Wings
4 HP/252 Attack/252 Speed
Adamant
- Roost
- Brave Bird
- Bulk Up/Swords Dance
- Flare Blitz

Talonflame is one of my main attackers. I was considering putting Jolly on Talonflame, but as seeing as it is already fast and its attack stat is kinda low, I decided to put Adamant on it. Talonflame has the ability Gale Wings so that flying type moves gets a priority. This means that I can attack first with Brave Bird, or I can heal up with Roost without worrying about being attacked first. Flare Blitz might not get a priority, but it is a very powerful move, and Talonflame gains a STAB bonus from it. Now, I can either go with Swords Dance to raise my attack by two stages, or if I wanna be on the safe side I can go with Bulk Up so I can raise its Attack and Defense by one stage each. Now, I know Talonflame has a 4x weakness to rock, so it is very useless if stealth rocks is up. So, I have another Pokemon to take care of this.

http://serebii.net/xy/pokemon/530.png
Excadril @ Air Balloon
Mold Breaker
224 HP/ 252 Atk/ 32 Speed
Adamant/Jolly
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Rock Slide

This Excadril is here if I the opponent has Stealth Rocks up, so I can take it out and help out my Talonflame. It has Air Balloon so I don't have to worry about it getting hit by a ground move right away. 224 EV's for HP is so it can try to live an attack that would otherwise kill it, 252 EV's for Attack so it can dish out some damage, and the rest goes to Speed. Now, I can either put Adamant or Jolly on Excadril. I'm leaning more towards Jolly as it already has a high Attack stat, 252 Attack EV's and it has access to Swords Dance. Also, it only has 32 EV's for Speed so I will most likely go for Jolly. Now, the last thing I wanna talk about is Rock Slide. I went with Rock Slide over Stone Edge because it has better accuracy than Stone Edge so I will be sure to hit more often.

Goodra @ Assault Vest
Sap Sipper
4 HP/252 Special Attack/252 Special Defense
Calm/Modest
- Sludge Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Dragon Pulse
- Flamethrower

This Goodra is for it to be able to take Special Attacks. Goodra has a high Special Defense stat, and if paired with 252 EV's for Special Defense and Calm nature, its Special Defense can reach up to a stat of 438. And that's not even including the Assault Vest which highers it Special defenses even more! The Assault Vest makes it so I can only use damaging moves, which is where the moveset comes in. It has Sludge Wave to deal with Fairy types, Thunderbolt to deal with Water and Flying types and Flamethrower to deal with Steel and Ice types. I chose Dragon Pulse over Draco Meteor so its Special Attack doesn't get lowered, and also I chose it over Outrage because I don't wanna be locked into a move where my opponent can send into something that can take it and I can't switch out. Also, in the end, it'll be confused so I'll be forced to switch out. Now, I can go for Calm nature to boost its Special Defense, or go for Modest to boost its Special Attack.

Gengar @ Life Orb
Levitate
4 HP/252 Special Attack/252 Speed
Timid
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Dazzling Gleam
- Focus Blast/ Hidden Power Fire

Pretty much my special sweeper. I went with Dazzling Gleam over Focus Blast because it also covers Dark types and unlike Focus Blast, it can be super effective against Dragons and fighting. Shadow Ball is for STAB and Thunderbolt is for water types. Hidden Power Fire is for steel types, but if I can't get it, I'll go with Focus Blast which also covers Rock types.

So, this is the team I plan on using. All criticism and advise is all welcome, so please reply on what I did good on this team and what I can do better on. Thank you! :)

Infestation isn't worth using, despite being a trapping move that nothing is immune to besides Shedinja. It's best off on bulky users, IMO. Bug Buzz is the better Bug STAB.

Goodra's EV spread is inefficient. Maxing out its HP takes priority, since it's lower than its Special Defense. Assault Vest and specially defensive Goodra play different roles.:
-Draco Meteor
-Fire Blast/Flamethrower
-Sludge Bomb/Thunderbolt
-Focus Blast/Dragon Tail/Power Whip
Nature: Modest/Quiet
EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 SAtk
Item: Choice Specs/Assault Vest
Ability: Gooey/Sap Sipper
(in this case, Assault Vest compensates for the lack of Special Defense investment)

or
-Dragon Pulse
-Flamethrower/Fire Blast
-Thunderbolt
-Toxic/Dragon Tail
Nature: Calm/Sassy
EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 SDef
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Gooey/Sap Sipper

There's literally no reason for Talonflame to max out its Speed, since Brave Bird is its main attack. Anything slower than Talonflame can be taken out with Flare Blitz instead. The bulk investment also helps Talonflame sponge recoil damage:
-Swords Dance
-Flare Blitz
-Brave Bird
-Roost/Tailwind/Will-o-Wisp
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 192 HP/252 Atk/4 Def/60 Spe
Item: Life Orb/Sharp Beak/Sky Plate
Ability: Gale Wings

or
-Flare Blitz
-Brave Bird
-U-turn
-Tailwind/Will-o-Wisp
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 192 HP/252 Atk/4 Def/60 Spe
Item: Choice Band
Ability: Gale Wings

or
-Bulk Up
-Brave Bird
-Tailwind/Will-o-Wisp/Taunt
-Roost
Nature: Careful
EVs: 212 HP/236 SDef/60 Spe
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Gale Wings

Consider this Gengar. It still poses an offensive threat, but also has the option of breaking stall to an extent, or taking down the opponent with it:
-Shadow Ball
-Sludge Bomb/Focus Blast
-Taunt
-Destiny Bond
Nature: Timid
EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
Item: Focus Sash

While the new weakness to Ground bites, Gengar can go Mega to trap problematic opponents:
-Shadow Ball
-Sludge Bomb
-Focus Blast
-Taunt/Destiny Bond
Nature: Timid
EVs: 4 Def/252 SAtk/252 Spe
Item: Gengarite

Screw the above; didn't see that your Mega slot was taken already.

@Zekrom (below): Sleep Powder is still viable if you predict correctly. Also, what purpose does Venusaur's current spread accomplish?:
-Giga Drain/Power Whip
-Sludge Bomb/Sleep Powder
-Earthquake
-Synthesis
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef
Item: Venusaurite

or
-Giga Drain/Leech Seed
-Sludge Bomb
-Hidden Power (Fire)
-Synthesis/Protect
Nature: Modest
EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 SAtk
Item: Venusaurite

I think Platinum hit most of the major points, but there is one thing I'd like to add. I don't think that your Venusaur should be using Sleep Powder. Besides being inaccurate, Grass types and Sap Sippers (like Goodra) are immune to it, and resist its only attacking move, Giga Drain/Energy Ball. So it'd be better to run another move in Sleep Powder's slot, like Protect or Toxic.
