Indeed, peach schnapps are delicious. Chilled, with some lemonade. Oh yum..

Come to think of it.. I think my 1 year join date is coming up in like, 5 -10 days. I can't remember exactly.

Edit: December 29th! Time to cram as many posts in between then and now, and try to get an cool number on my 1year anniversary.
Pity I'm going to be away from tomorrow to the 27th.

Mark Kamill December 22nd, 2013 10:25 AM

I've made about 1500 posts this year, with only 3 or so months activity. I could as well have had a blog by now with those other 8 months.

█▄ █▄█ ▄█▀ ▀█▀ December 22nd, 2013 10:30 AM

More of a lurker than a poster here, tbh. I'd be lucky if I manage 1000 on this account in a year lmao

Tsutarja December 22nd, 2013 10:40 AM

I still can't remember how many posts I had to begin with this year, but I can tell you that if I was active like I am now for as long as I've been a PC member, my post count would probably be the highest all time, or close to it.

█▄ █▄█ ▄█▀ ▀█▀ December 22nd, 2013 10:56 AM

Ony my main, I managed 3600 something in four years. And that includes six months of staff forums' spam post count boost.

Quality > Quantity anyway. o3o

Cordelia December 22nd, 2013 11:04 AM

Every single one of my post is a timeless treasure. I put a lot of thought into each and every one of them.

█▄ █▄█ ▄█▀ ▀█▀ December 22nd, 2013 11:08 AM

amazing posts
wow

so true for all those posts you made in staff forums lmao.

Alexander Nicholi December 22nd, 2013 11:10 AM

lol @ staff spam forum

Why is everyone at a disadvantage to the moderators?

Aeroblast December 22nd, 2013 11:12 AM

So that's where ZachLMedia gets his 5000+ posts from.

█▄ █▄█ ▄█▀ ▀█▀ December 22nd, 2013 11:14 AM

Because mods earn their rights by working hard to attain the position and then get their spam rights lmao

Alexander Nicholi December 22nd, 2013 11:16 AM

Looks like we have an ex-staff member who doesn't give a flying ****. The cat's out of the bag!

Tsutarja December 22nd, 2013 11:20 AM

Staff forum? What is that y'all say? ;)

Of course we have a staff forum, but I'd say only about 1/5 of my posts come from that.

█▄ █▄█ ▄█▀ ▀█▀ December 22nd, 2013 11:26 AM

^ not for long, zach. It'll account for a large percentage soon enough. It always does once you've been on staff for a while lol

I was just joking... though admittedly my "jokes" always fall flat on its face.

Alexander Nicholi December 22nd, 2013 11:28 AM

I guess y'all aren't of the school of thought the staff forum is for...well, you know, staff work--and not for daily chit chat, which is what this forum is for.

█▄ █▄█ ▄█▀ ▀█▀ December 22nd, 2013 11:30 AM

Which is why I say that y'all should be staff sometime or the other. If not for anything else but to see the amount of crazy stuff in there which I can't divulge right now lol

How would you know how things work? There's an area for staff work and chit chat, and that's all I can pretty much say.

Considering Lust just leaked a bunch of stuff, I'd probably have close to as much a gander as you. Are you trying to deny or hide something?

Aeroblast December 22nd, 2013 11:54 AM

I don't think there's anything interesting. Probably just something like the VIP section.

I see the intention behind 4/25, but I think it's a bit too strict, especially in forum games. (main reason why I don't frequent forum games, by the way)

I can live with it, though.

Trust me, he leaked nothing. He just said we have a staff section and nothing more. We discuss important things in there and then there's a place for us to hang out, similar to the VIP forum.

Mark Kamill December 22nd, 2013 12:23 PM

Wait, where is this leak you speak of? And anyway, staff forums isn't a shocker really, you guys need your own board room. Now the VIP forums, well that's a different story. Then again, I really shouldn't and couldn't really know much about those though, right?

+1 to people who don't understand the importance of the rule even in forum games. 8(

I don't want to go into depth into why it's there but we want it to be a cute little place to play forum games not a spampit. It has been considered to get rid of one of the rules (not both) but meh. But the posts are quality enough to really count towards post count y'know. But hey you can always poke your head into DLTMS0 or TCTI or something idk.

Unless you care about post count.

█▄ █▄█ ▄█▀ ▀█▀ December 22nd, 2013 12:46 PM

Lel. Forum games rules are good as they are. It'd be total and utter ****fest there if it weren't for them.

I got one gripe, though. But I'll VM/PM Tara later.

Also, yeah, staff forums = pretty much vip forums. But there are certain differences which make a huge difference. :p Can't go into detail, doe. That'd be treason and I'd be punished. Don't want zat.

Well, if you think about it, forum games really have no purpose other than... well... playing forum games. Unless you've had a really big problem with small groups of people spamming and ****ting up the board (or something like that) previously, I don't quite understand why 4/25 still exists in forum games, especially if there's no post count.

That's just my opinion, though, and as I've said already, I can live with it.

I'll sit down, comfortable but not too comfortable. I'm here to get work done, after all.
I'll have a drink close to hand so that I won't have to get up for quite a while in theory.
First, I jot down the rough plot progression of my post in rich text format.
Once I've got a good idea of the general progression of things, I'll overview the whole post and make sure its logical.
Now I begin the actual writing. A few hours pass and I have my first draft written up.
After a small break I'll hop back into it and go through rewriting the whole post. This helps to eliminate parts that aren't needed in a survival-of-the-fittest like way.
After some thorough spell-checking and grammatical reviewing the second draft is ready to be posted.

Lastly, I post it and sit back, waiting for the inevitable post-likes to roll into my notification center. Guaranteed arrival, much unlike the British public transport.

I just sit down and write whatever my fingers want to. Sometimes I read it afterwards to see what I've actually written, but not often.

It's funny how you put so much effort on a PC post more than a chapter on a novel. Where's the logic in that?

I'm sure there's more to it than that when writing a novel :P but sometimes I will say I do put more effort into posts on PC than I do other things as well

Sector December 22nd, 2013 4:19 PM

I put a lot of effort into my stories, a lot of THOUGHTS rather than writing. My thinking cap is working more than my writing.

I don't put that much effort in writing a novel sized post on PC. Most of my posts don't get replied on anyway because "tl;dr"

Hiatus December 22nd, 2013 4:24 PM

I don't put too much effort into any of my PC posts, unfortunately. Though, I probably should. But even if I put effort in, my posts just don't turn out as big as I want them to sometimes. xD"

Nathan December 22nd, 2013 4:28 PM

Right, reading comprehension fails me yet again. Anyway, don't get me started on game ideas. I have this mega text that I could I post in the sub section of game development, but I still have to learn how to script, get the mapping started, and learn how to bargain for spriters.

I used to write fanfiction, but I can barely pull off a oneshot without getting all the stories' details jumbled in my head. I did write this one SatoHaru wedding fic that got meh reviews. ><

Sector December 22nd, 2013 5:05 PM

I remember when Trade Corner used to not have posts counted toward your total. Was it CC who changed that? ;)

Gabri December 22nd, 2013 5:14 PM

I put almost zero effort into anything I write, really. The shortest and more concise, the better. I never felt the urge to write walls of text about anything.

Whenever I tried to intentionally write walls of text with lots of detail about something, I always ended up feeling like I was walking in circles and not explaining exactly what I wanted well enough to be understood. That's why I gave up some writing ideas I had (both fanfiction and original stuff).

Late entrance on the Winter DCC, gah

Honest December 22nd, 2013 5:55 PM

Six pages in, not that bad! Although, wow, 6 pages in one day. Give it three months, that means if we stay steady, we could hit 540 pages by March.

Mark Kamill December 22nd, 2013 5:58 PM

540 is easy peasy for winter time. People stay in more, and ergo post more. I'd say we might even hit it by the end of February!

Also, I being up at 4 in the morning is not fun, cleaning crew for the building is here again. I swear to god if they bang into my door one more time...

Tsutarja December 22nd, 2013 6:02 PM

How many pages was the last one? Wasn't it like 920 something pages?

Honest December 22nd, 2013 6:04 PM

...not even close. 298. O.o

You realize how many posts 920 pages worth of posts would be, right?

Nathan December 22nd, 2013 6:06 PM

920 pages would be around 20 000 posts. I'm not sure any DCC ever achieved that during the one year and half I've been here

Mark Kamill December 22nd, 2013 6:08 PM

Wait, how many posts per page are we talking here? The default is at 25, right? If so, yeah 925 would be insane. And I do believe the much much older DCC's should have hit 20k.

Alexander Nicholi December 22nd, 2013 6:25 PM

920 × 25 = 23,000 posts. The previous DCC had around 7,000 posts.

That's a big gap. D:

We had a thread in the staff forum that had over 30k posts and it had to be closed because of double posting. :(

Mark Kamill December 22nd, 2013 6:53 PM

You know I don't even think the forum could handle so many double posts. Like the universe would implode or some crazy stuff.

Tsutarja December 22nd, 2013 6:54 PM

It seems weird though, the posting lag nor the double posting problem existed in large threads on the old server, so I really wonder what happened :/

Mark Kamill December 22nd, 2013 6:56 PM

Don't the new ones run on cloud computing? That could play a huge part, with the database not updating fast enough, or its outputting commands doubly for some strange odd reason.

Golly this is meta. We're talking about the DCC in the DCC.

Ahem.
Imagine things go unexpectedly well and you get your dream present for Christmas. What is it?
Boring answers like 'money' will be judged silently.

That's the same for me.

I bought a 360 a few months ago (after not playing a console since, like, Kingdom Hearts 2 came out) with the intention of using it. At the very least for Netflix on TV. And I probably touched the thing three times until I finally decided that it would be best to just return it about two months later.

Meganium December 22nd, 2013 7:59 PM

I only use my Wii for netflix and hulu plus. That's all, really. I haven't had the chance to rent games for it nowadays, but I should be able to starting tomorrow. :D

Cordelia December 22nd, 2013 8:00 PM

I pretty much stopped playing consoles as well. I really wish I had the time to play them but I don't at all.

Aeroblast December 22nd, 2013 8:04 PM

Playstation 4 will be my first console, believe it or not. All my previous console gaming experiences have been at my friends' house.

Hiatus December 22nd, 2013 8:19 PM

Wii U and Xbox 360 are the only consoles I have at the moment. Was planning to buy PlayStation 4, but couldn't as I didn't have enough money; they were all spent on gifts. I may buy it in January, though. If I can't, then February. Definitely. (:

Nathan December 22nd, 2013 8:19 PM

Consoles? Let's see I only had two, my old PS2 and my current PS3. Gaming was mainly made on handheld for me.

Honest December 22nd, 2013 8:21 PM

Treecko December 22nd, 2013 8:22 PM

I'm honestly not interested in any of the consoles this gen. The Xbox One seems like too much entertainment at once and the PS4 doesn't appeal to me much. I'll just stick to handhelds. Can't wait to get my 3DS for Christmas. :D

(This is off topic but I just notice this section is now called Chit-Chat Cafe now. How fitting. Really fancy I'm liking it.)

But me too, I actually need a first phone. I hear good things about the Google Nexus and I really like how it looks so it's definitely on my list of possible first phones. That or the Sony Xperia Z cause I hear that's an awesome phone. As for carrier service , I'm likely picking T-Mobile cause my brother has that and really likes it.

Yup, decided to drop the 'polls' bit. Glad to see you like it!

@AWsquared T-Mobile is pretty good if you live in a city where they have towers, but it sucks if you travel a lot or live in a small town. Where I am the service is great and I have LTE all over the city. As for phones, I have an iPhone 5C right now, but I'm missing my Nexus 4 a little bit.

It makes me think of this place as somewhere where you can just drink coffee on my computer and talk about random stuff. :3

I live in a big city so we have a good amount of towers so we get excellent 4g LTE coverage. My brother mainly got T-Mobile cause it has good coverage here and where he goes to college. (which is about 100 miles from my city.)

So I see more sections getting name changes... this is gonna take time to get used to, however I'm not sure how I'll adjust to GE being called Culture & Media again. Seems like I'm going back in time there.

Hiatus December 22nd, 2013 10:54 PM

I have two phone as of right now, which work perfectly fine... but still feel like buying a new one. D: If I do, then I'll buy it late next year. Also, I'm used to the new section names already. They look great, in my opinion!

Livewire December 22nd, 2013 10:59 PM

I've decided that I'm going to use a good chunk of my X-Mas money to get a new iPhone, probably the 32GB 5c I've been eying for awhile now.

Nolafus December 22nd, 2013 11:00 PM

I've had the same phone for seven years:

It still works fine, so why get a new one? All I need to do is text and call, so I don't feel like I need a new one where it breaks if you drop it two inches onto the ground. :/

Avishka December 22nd, 2013 11:15 PM

I like the new name. :)

Oh I didn't even notice that GE was change back to CM. o.e I'm glad, I always like Culture & Media better.

Galaxy phones always sounded like a better choice than iPhones. My brother has a Galaxy S Blaze and really likes how much easier it is to arrange his favorite apps and such.

As in, managing softwares? I like arranging my Android softwares on my phone of Galaxy Pro as well, even though my Android system is far way obsolete now (2.2 Froyo).

haha, precisely the reason I got this a few months ago:

It is cheap (<$100) and very durable. As is a hallmark of nokia phones. Used to have a fancy android phone before this. I miss the plethora of apps that were available to me before, though. Watching yt videos is a pain. Downloading any videos is a pain because only 320x240 or lower res videos work. But yeah, I'm okay with it. Just a few more months till I get my PC back anyway. At least it works as a great mp3 player! Sound quality is amazing.

And I made the very first thread in anime and manga. So proud. Also, I like dem changes.

ooh, someone's loaded. Most fifteen year old Indians do not have access to such pricey phones. :p

Tsutarja December 23rd, 2013 3:27 AM

Oh wow, new name <3

I've had the same Razr phone now for five years, and I'm really hoping that changes soon!

«Chuckles» December 23rd, 2013 3:45 AM

Why are all the forums having their names changed!?

I have a HTC something. I don't use it for what it's supposed to be used for just for emulators and surfing the great wave called the web!!!

Shining Raichu December 23rd, 2013 3:51 AM

Chit Chat Café, I love that! It makes me feel like I'm running an old timey café in the boondocks of life, which is kinda what's happening :P
